đAngel of mineđ
in-sert 13
There is something mentally wrong with my sister. Oh no I am not just saying this without any evidence. I told Natasha that if Emily comes in when I am not around, she mustnât let my sister in the room we were keeping Jamalâs mother. I was right after all and here is my sister almost strangling my woman. She lets her go and honestly I have no better words for Emily.
âShe insulted me,â she said.
âThatâs not true,â Natasha defends herself and I know she is telling the truth.
Emily is one big liar.
âTasha, can you excuse us. I want to speak to my sister,â I say my eyes on Emily.
Natasha quic-kly rushes out of my office and I walk to my chair.
âWhat brings you here?â I ask her as I sit down on my chair.
âSo now you donât pick up my calls?â
Oh so now it bothers her? I thought she didnât care about anyone but herself. She sits on the chair and I am trying to act all busy to avoid her eye contact.
âErnest.â
âYes, sis Emily.â
âI am sorry about yesterday; I didnât mean to come out rude on you.â
I st©p what I am doing and look at her. Something you should be aware, Emily isnât good with apologies and she doesnât accept her mistakes. For all I know she might be faking it right now and just wants me to feel pity for her. I am not buying her apology.
âYou are sorry?â I nee-d to be sure that I heard correctly.
She nods her head in agreement. If she c@mÂŁ over to my office to apologize, I wonder why she almost strangled my woman to death, how convenient of her.
âYes, I am sorry. I didnât mean all the words that I said to you.â
âDoes that include you calling your mother-in law a witch?â
She hesitates to reply.
âYes about that as well, I want to make amends with her.â
âSo are you going to tell Jamal the truth? That you fell on your own and you were never pregnant.â
I wanted to put her on a ti-ght sp©t and I did as she shifted uncomfortable on the chair. Oh no she wasnât going to tell him the truth. We might as well forget that it ever happened; I canât believe my sister had the guts to do such a horrible thing. I just donât get it why she hates her mother-in law when she hasnât done anything wrong to her. She is ever since loved Emily and never for once mistreated her but Emily on the other hand I am sure she is being poisoned by her friend Tiffany. You know whatâs the funny thing?
Tiffany is engaged to br@dley and I am sure she has never said any bad thing to Emily about her mother-in law. She respects her mother-in law and busy telling my sister to hate hers. If I was Emily, I could open my eyes and see that Tiffany is going to destroy my marriage 1 day but then my sister is too stubborn to listen. I washed my hands, I surrendered, I gave up on her and just let her do whatever she plea-ses but I wonât let her mistreat that woman. Its better she gives her money so that she goes back at the village if she doesnât want to stay with her.
âIf you donât want to stay with her, why donât you sÂŁnd her back at the village?â
âShe has no one to take care of her. Thatâs the main reason why Jamal had to take her in.â
âAnd you just had to mistreat her.â
âI thought we are over that, I am here to apologize to her and let her move back in with us.â
I donât trust Emily and I am sure she is up to something. I am being over protective towards this situation because I wouldnât want anything bad to happen to Jamalâs mother. Yes she is not my mother but shouldnât I at least take good care of her?
âI will walk with you to her room and I am not leaving your sight until you are out of this hospital,â I say to her as I get up from the chair.
We both walk out of my office and head to her room. Emily is trailing behind and I canât help it but wonder what she is up to. I know asking her would be a waste of time, she will just lie to me. We get her room and I st©p just outside and turn to look at Emily.
âWhat?â
âDonât cause any trouble or I will have you thrown out of this hospital,â I say with a serious look on my face.
âI am not here for a fight Jamal. I just want to talk to her in peace.â
âFine,â I open the door and we walk inside.
She is actually surprised to see Emily and from the look on her face, she was scared of her. I wonder what Emily did to make her look like this whenever she is around.
âEmily,â she calls out.
âYou are surprised to see me right?â says Emily as she walks to the be-d and sit on it.
She takes her hand and smiles.
âI am so sorry mother,â she apologizes and I am just standing there with my hands placed in my pocket, âI know I havenât been a good daughter-in law for the past few weeks and I do regret what I did to you. I mean every bad thing that I did to you. You didnât deserve such kind of treatment and I am sorry for treating you like that,â she drops a tear and I am now confused by her actions.
Could it be that she is willing to change? What if she is just faking it? I donât know like I said it before, Emily is unpredictable and she changes like weather.
âItâs okay, I forgive you,â just like that she had to forgive her.
Like I said it before she was a good woman and I couldnât help it but wonder why Emily was being so rude to her. The two hvgged and maybe she has changed. I didnât leave the room until Emily was out. When she left the hospital, she told me that she was coming to take her mother-in law once she has recovered. Well thank goodness the wound was healing, the pills were working and she told me that she was feeling much better than before. I left her room and there was someone that I wanted to see. I told Natasha that I was going to be out for a while, it was at around 6pm when I left the hospital and I had called her. She said we could meet at her house. I wasnât okay with the idea but then no harm right. I drove my car to her house; I didnât tell Natasha exactly where I was going. I parked my car outside her gate and obviously she was waiting for me. I locked it and the gate wasnât locked and so I pushed it open and walked inside.
When I called her, she was surprised you know, I bet she was never expecting my call, not in a million ways. I knocked on the door and she c@mÂŁ in to open it for me.
âHie,â she hvgged me, âI was surprised when you called, plea-se come in.â
I walked inside her house and she closed the door.
âBeautiful house you have got to yourself.â
âThank you. Can I offer you something to eat or drink?â
âNo, I am okay. Not planning on staying long.â
âSo why are you here? Is Emily okay?â
âEmily is fine. She is always fine and she was never pregnant. Was she?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âOh plea-se Tiffany donât act all surprised. You know pretty well that Emily wasnât pregnant.â
âEmily wasnât pregnant? Thatâs new to me, I didnât know that.â
I looked at her and I could tell that she was lying.
âWhy would she lie?â
âI should be asking you that and she made herself fall from those stairs.â
âWhat?â she responded with shock.
âYou didnât know?â
âNo, Jamal. How would I know? I thought maybe her mother-in law was the one who pushed her.â
âSo you donât know that Emily has been mistreating her mother-in law.â
With hands on her mouth, she says.
âWhy would Emily do such a thing?â she sounded all surprised.
Do you know why I asked to see her? itâs because I wanted to tell her to back off, to mind her own business and never get herself involved in my sisterâs marriage but clearly Tiffany was just pretending not to have any idea of what I was talking about , ma-king me look like a fool in front of her.
âYou are saying you donât know anything? Isnât it you have been giving her advises.â
âJamal I would never tell Emily to mistreat her mother-in law. I am getting married soon and I would be staying with my mother-in law too. She is like a mother to me and I will never mistreat her, like never Jamal. I donât know why Emily is doing such a thing and why she lied to her husband but this is something that I would disagree on. I will never advise her to mistreat her mother in law, I will never do no such thing,â she said.
âOh I thought maybe you were siding with her.â
âNo, Jamal. I donât know where she is getting all of that but clearly not from me.â
âIs that it?â
âYes, Jamal.â
She wants me to believe her but I am not buying her story, I know she is lying to me.
âOkay, I shall take my leave now.â
I decided not to talk about the issue anymore since I have been lied to alre-ady. I get up and Tiffany walks me to the door. I say my goodbyes and walk to my car. I get into my car and drive back to the hospital thinking about Tiffany and her reactions towards what she was saying to me. She had lied to me and that simple means; she didnât want to look bad in front of me. I wonder what Emily would think
