Jenis could taste alcohol as Jace devoured her lips. Her eyes were widened and her heart was hammering loudly against its ribcage.
‘He doesn’t know what he’s doing’ she kept repeating in her mind as she tried not to get carried away.
Only heaven can testify how much she missed this lips, it was like part of her insides that were sour were starting to feel refreshed.
She slowly closed her eyes and began kissing him back. Jace pulled away from her lips and went to her neck, he began su-cking on it.
Jenis bit her lips a little and shut her eyes tight when she felt his hands growling under her thighs.
“No I can’t do this” she muttered and forcefully stood up from his laps.
“Where are you going?” Jace asked drunkenly.
“You don’t know what you’re doing, let’s go back to school” she took his hands and raised him up.
“I don’t want to go back, I want to be with you Lucky” he replied and pulled her back to his laps.
‘Lucky’ Jenis repeated her name in her head.
“I love you Lucky, we love eachother at first before he came into the picture and stole you from me but he’s gone now so why don’t want to come back to me?” He asked and a tear drop fell from Jenis eyes.
“I’m right here, Lucky doesn’t love you, why aren’t you looking at me? It’s not fair” she said hurtfully but there was no reply from Jace.
She slowly looked at him to see that he fell asleep on her shoulders.
“Can you just try to forget about her and look at who has always been by your side even if it’s once I’d really appreciate” she said slowly before sighing and standing up from his laps.
“Boss, I’ll be taking him back to school” she said and the man nodded.
She managed to pick Jace up and wrapped his arms around her shoulders.
“Lucky” he muttered in his sleep while Jenis used her strength to drag him out till she found a taxi.
“To BW college” she said and the taxi man nodded. She placed Jace in and sat beside him.
The taxi began moving and the whether was getting dark that it was about to rain. Jace moved closer to Jenis and hugged her.
“I love you so much Lucky, I wish you can stay with me forever” he smiled.
“I’m not Lucky” Jenis whispered, her eyes welling up with tears.
“I love you Lucky, you’re the only one I want and no one else” he pouted and hugged her even more.
Tears fell from Jenis eyes but she didn’t say anything. She kept out the window.
The taxi arrived at BW college and she paid him then came down with Jace in her arms.
She dragged him to his hostel and knocked on the door. It opened revealing Xavier dressed in his pajamas with frowning face.
“And who are you?” He asked, his eyes went to Jace and he took him from her.
“He is drunk, please make sure prepare hangover soup for him once he wakes up so his headache would reduce” she said and Xavier nodded.
After she left, he shut the door close.

Jace kept groaning and tossing around the bed. Dominic was sitting on the table with his hands in his pocket while Xavier was brushing his hair.
“I mean why didn’t anyone tell me on time that Edward left?” Dominic was still in surprise.
He entered the room yesterday only to find out Edward is gone.
“That night he was crying terribly and slept, I didn’t sleep here because I was with Erica and the next morning I heard he left. Jace said he only dropped a letter for Lucky” Xavier replied and dropped his hair brush.
“At least he should have waited and talk to us, been calling his line but it’s not going” Dominic muttered.
“He might have destroyed his sim, I’ve known Edward for long now and this is the first time he’s taking comments about his body weight too literally” Xavier said and Dominic sighed.
Jace opened his eyes and sat on the bed.
“fu-ck” he muttered, feeling the way his head was pounding.
“Welcome back sleeping beauty, why did you drink so much last night?” Xavier faced him.
“How did I even get here?” He asked.
“A girl brought you back, she said I should give you hangover soup, don’t even know what that means because I don’t drink that way” Xavier replied and Jace rolled his eyes before going to the bathroom.
“I’ll be going to class, let me call my strawberry” Dominic took his phone out.
“Cool, I’ll call my firecracker then” Xavier winked and took his phone too.

The lecturer was yet to come so students were taking this as an opportunity to make noise.
Naomi was in class today, she was with Lucky who looked a bit dull.
“Hey” Lucky called softly and Naomi looked at her.
“Yesterday I said some harsh things to you, I didn’t mean it, I was just angry and I’m sorry, I know you hate me now” she muttered.
Naomi smiled and at her rubbed her shoulders.
“I understand you were looking for who to vent on, it’s okay, I didn’t take it too heart” she said with a soft smile.
“Thank you” Lucky smiled back before facing her front.
Gwen was sitting beside Dominic while Erica and Xavier were together. Jace was sitting alone with with headphones on when Jenis came to tap him.
He took it off and gave a blank look.
“I just wanted to ask how you’re feeling now” she said with a smile.
He sighed and faced her completely.
“Look I know you were the one that brought me back to my hostel last night and I want to say thank you, also I want to apologise if I might have done or said somethings to you, I wasn’t in my right state of mind and I hope you understand that so don’t expect anything from me” he said.
Jenis face fell and she blinked repeatedly before nodding.
“I’m glad we are both understanding ourselves” he muttered and wore his headphones back.
Jenis went back to her sit while Gwen kept staring at the both of them, she shook her head and faced Dominic again.
Soon the lecturer entered and it wasn’t up to an hour of teaching when the VC entered with a familiar girl.
“Good day everyone” he greeted but their attention were on the girl.

Dominic looked surprised when he saw her even Gwen was a bit stunned.
What’s the senator daughter doing here?
“I see you guys have already introduced her before me, well she’s our newest transferred student” the VC said and faced her.
“There’s an empty sit beside Dominic Jameson” he said and Gwen raised her brows.
She was sitting on the empty sit so what the VC trying to say? Even Dominic looked confused.
“Gwyneth can you kindly move to another sit?” The VC said clearly.
Dominic held Gwen’s hands and glared at the VC.
“She’s not going anywhere, they are plenty of chairs, two politicians children don’t have to sit beside each other” he said.
The VC wanted to talk but when he turned to his side he didn’t see Livy standing beside him anyone.
He looked around and saw her sitting in an empty sit, she waved at him.
“I see miss senator is comfortable so carry on” he muttered and left the class.
Gwen was still a bit upset about earlier, she felt Dominic’s hands on hers and she forced a smile at him.

Livy was standing in front of her locker when someone pulled her and dragged her to a corner, she looked up to see Dominic.
“What the hell are you doing?” He asked.
“And why did you pull me like that?” She asked back.
“I thought you weren’t interested in me!” He said.
“I’m not”
“Then what are you doing here!?” He looked angry.
“I have no choice, I’m only here to protect my boyfriend, I’m not here for you and I told you let’s play along but you’re refusing!” She yelled at him.
“Bear?”
Dominic turned back to see Gwen standing behind him, her eyes went to Livy who just rolled her eyes.
“Strawberry” Dominic walked towards her and pecked her cheeks but Gwen kept looking at Livy.
“I’ll excuse myself, you better explain a lot of things to your strawberry” Livy rolled her eyes again and walked out.
Dominic looked at Gwen, she was already folding her arms under her brèast.
“Listen I..”
“What’s the deal between the both of you, first I was insulted by the VC and now this” she cut him off.
Dominic wanted to talk when his phone rang, it was from his dad.
“I promise I’ll explain everything to you” he replied before excusing himself to pick the call.
Gwen turned back to watch him leave.

The school was noisy today, everyone’s eyes were on their phones.
“Is everyone alright?” Naomi muttered as she came in with Erica, Gwen and Lucky.
“Yeah school sure seems weird today but I’m not interested, see y’all later” Erica rolled her eyes and left.
“Yeah guys me too, I’ll be going to class” Lucky said dryly before leaving too.
Naomi kept watching her before sighing.
“I feel bad for her, she has been sulky since Edward left” she pouted.
“And I think Dominic is hiding something from me, day before yesterday, he went home and didn’t come for hours I called but I couldn’t reach him, yesterday that senator daughter comes in and VC insulted me then I saw him alone with her, she told him to explain things to him and he won’t tell me anything” Gwen said out of frustration.
Naomi smiled and touched her shoulders.
“You’re just paranoid babe, it might be nothing” the moment she said that, her phone beeped.
She removed her hands from Gwen’s shoulder and opened her phone.
A loud gasp escaped from her lips.
“What happened?” Gwen asked and Naomi hid her phone behind her back immediately.
“Nothing, as I was saying you’re just paranoid now let’s get to class” she tried leaving but Gwen snatched the phone from her hands.
She looked at the headline news and her eyes almost popped out of its socket.

Gwen tapped it and began reading, she was already boiling.
“I’m paranoid right!?” She turned back to face Naomi.
“I don’t even know what to say but he really have to explain” Naomi muttered.
“Give me few minutes, I’ll be back!” Gwen took Naomi’s phone and stormed out.
She stormed to the boy’s hostel and began banging on Dominic’s door. It was Xavier that opened it, she didn’t listen to what he has to say when she stormed to Dominic who was sitting.
“This!” She banged the phone on the table and he looked at her face.
“So this is what it’s all about? You’re getting engaged to senator George’s daughter!” She yelled.
Dominic looked at Xavier before slowly standing up.
“I can explain, please hear me out” he said.
“I should have heard you out yesterday but you didn’t tell me a thing and I’ve always known that we are two different people” she replied.
“What are you saying?” He asked slowly.
“I’m saying I can’t handle this shìt so go ahead and get engaged to liver or whatever her name is, you two are perfect, you’re from the same class after all!” She replied and began leaving.
“Strawberry!!” Dominic wanted to go after her but Xavier held him back.
“You shouldn’t, at least not now” he said.
“Why not? Should I watch us end like this?” Dominic almost yelled.
“You’re not ending, explain all these to her when she’s a bit calm, if you go after her now, you might make it worse” Xavier replied and Dominic reluctantly stayed one place.

Gwen kept crying and running at the same time till she got to an alone place in the hallway.
She stood and rested her back on the wall and closed her eyes tight, holding her chest and breathing heavily until her phone began ringing.
She picked without checking who it was.
“Is this Gwyneth Lee?” The female voice asked.
“Yes this is?” Gwen’s breathing calm down as she asked.
“Secretary Nella, please report to the VC’s office, someone wants to see you” the woman said and cut the call.
Gwen put her phone back inside her pocket. She dried her face and arranged her hair before finding her way to the office.
When she got there, she knocked on the door.
“Come in” she heard him say.
She opened the door and the person she saw sitting with the VC made her eyes widened.
