Dominic was already awake, he was stroking Gwen’s hair and looking at her face.
She looked so cute while sleeping, she was sleeping like nothing bothers her at all.
“I’d be so jealous if you fell asleep in front of another man,” he muttered.
Her eyelids trembled and she slowly opened her eyes.
“Good morning Bear” she greeted in a tiny voice.
“Bear?” Dominic creased his brows.
“Bear, it’s my new nickname for you” she said and snuggled on his chest.
“Okay I’ll take it, Good morning my strawberry” he smiled and kissed her head.
“You’re still sleepy?” He asked when he saw her eyes closing again.
“Hmm, I’m very tired, I don’t think I’ll be able to go to class today” she replied in a drowsy voice.
“You want me to stay with you then?” He asked and she shook her head.
“Don’t miss a class because of me, go so you’ll update me on what happened” she pouted her lips.
“I won’t go, I’ll ask Xavier or Jace to update me later then I’ll update you” he replied and kissed her head again.
“Last night was the best, thank you strawberry” he added and she snuggled on him again.
“Thank you for making it not too painful for me, thank you for being gentle” she muttered.
“It took all my self-control but I promise you I won’t be gentle next time” he said and she hit his chest.
“Right, sorry, go ahead and sleep strawberry” he chuckled but no reply.
“Strawberry?” He called again.
The only thing he heard was her soft snore.
“Sleep tight” he smiled and hugged her again.

A bang from outside the door was heard and Jace went to get it, he was shocked to see Lucky standing there and looking a bit rough.
“Here’s Edward? I want to talk to him” she almost screamed but Jace kept looking at her.
“I believed I asked a question, Edward and I need to talk, tell him to come out!” She yelled again.
Jace sighed and went inside, he came back with his face looking sorry.
“I don’t know how to tell you this but I think Edward left this for you” he stretched a paper towards her.
“What do you mean!” Lucky harshly collected it and gasped when she read what was in there.

Tears were coming out of her eyes as she was reading the letter.
“When did he leave?” She asked and no reply from Jace again.
“I’m asking you!” She yelled.
“I don’t know, I just woke up this morning and the letter welcomed me,” Jace replied.
Lucky brought out her phone and dialed Edward’s number but it kept saying it’s reachable.
“Edward don’t do this to me, please pick my calls” she cried and tried again, still not reachable.
She went straight to voicemail.
“Edward sweetheart if you see this message please call me. Don’t mind the harsh things mom said to you yesterday, she’s just angry that things weren’t the way she expected. I love you Edward, I don’t know how many times I want to tell you that, I don’t care what others think of us. If they like, they can make fun of me from now till the next morning. It doesn’t mean, I love you and nothing can change that, please call me when you get this, don’t leave me alone I beg of you” she said while crying at the same time.
After she sent it, she squatted on the floor and burst out in tears.
“Hey” Jace moved closer to her, he touched her shoulders but she slapped his hands off.
“And what do you think you’re doing? In case you don’t know, I still remember how you tried to force yourself on me in the lady’s room so I haven’t forgiven you yet. I know you’re jealous of Edward because I chose the guy with the chubby face and stomach inside of the good looking and perfect one and guess what? I will choose Edward over and over because you can never be compared to him and if you know what’s good for you, you fu-ck off and don’t touch me!!” She yelled at him like a mad person.
Jace slowly moved back.
She took her phone and tried calling his number again but it didn’t go.
“Edward, where did you run off too? Please come back!” She cried loudly then stood up and found her way out of the hostel.
Jace went in and slammed the door, he sat on his bed and looked around.
Dominic is not here and Xavier too, he left after Edward fell asleep.
“But I didn’t do anything wrong right? She was mine first and we liked each other but Edward stole her from me, I just had to take what was rightfully mine” he said to himself.
Lucky’s words came back to him and he shook his head.
“I can never be compared to him? Give me a month’s time and I’ll make sure things go back to the way it was before when you used to like me and not him!” He muttered while clenching his fist tight.

A car stopped in front of the school compound and Dante came out, the other side of the door opened and Naomi came down too.
“We are late for basketball practice come on” he held her hand and began pulling her with him.
Naomi smiled as she stared at his hands on hers, when they finally got to the field, Dante let her go.
“There you two are, practice started an hour ago, what’s up coach and team player?” Tom asked as he was bouncing the ball with one hand.
“My car spoiled on my way back and I kinda bumped into the coach so we fixed it and came together” Dante replied then secretly winked at Naomi who shook her head.
“Whatever” Tom muttered and walked away.
Naomi moved forward.
“Thank you guys for making me your new coach, I promise I’ll make sure this team will be one of the best, I see all of you here have potential and I know a lot about basketball, my dad made me a huge fan. I’ll be hiring some cheerleaders and I’ll be rearranging our diets and gym time table and sleeping time table, I’ll make sure we get the next trophy for the school” Naomi said and stretched one of her hands out.
“Team Phoenix warriors!!” She shouted.
The teammates including Dante gave her a confused look.
“It’s our team name, keep up!” Naomi rolled her eyes and they joined her.
“In 3 2 1…” Naomi trailed off.
“Team Phoenix warriors!!” All of them shouted and threw their hands up in the air.
They began clapping happily, Dante looked at Naomi with a proud smile, she smiled at him too and winked at her.

Gwen was still sleeping when Dominic’s phone rang. He sighed and checked it, it was his dad calling.
He rolled his eyes and cut the call.
“I don’t need to hear anything he has to say” he muttered and the phone began ringing again.
Gwen groaned in her sleep and he sighed. He angrily took his phone and stood up, placing Gwen to sleep comfortably on the bed.
He went to the veranda and picked the call.
“What is it dad? Stop calling me!” He said angrily.
“Come home this instant!” President Jameson ordered.
“I’m in school dad, you can’t order me around, why don’t you just leave me alone huh?” Dominic was already angry.
“Listen boy, I’m telling you for the last time to come home or I’ll come get you personally” president Jameson replied and hung up.
Dominic was a little close in throwing his phone but it took a deep breath and relaxed.
“I’ll just go to see the simple thing he has to say and come back” he muttered and went back to the room.
Gwen was still sleeping so he went to freshen up then took a small paper and pen.

He folded the paper and dropped it beside her then kissed her head before leaving the room.

“Livy we don’t have too much time too..” Octavia paused on her steps when she saw Livy laying down on her bed and playing games with her phone.
“Why aren’t you dressed yet!” She demanded.
“Please get out of my room Octavia” Livy rolled her eyes, still playing her games.
“We are going to the president’s house, your father is waiting,” Octavia said angrily.
“Then go and count me out,” Livy scoffed.
“I can’t take this” Octavia rolled her eyes and walked out of the room and a few minutes later, the door pushed open and the senator stepped in.
“I give you just one minute to meet me in the car or else..”
“Or else what, Senator George?” Livy stood up from her head and faced him.
“I’ll send someone to end the life of that pathetic boy you’ve been seeing behind our backs,” Senator George replied.
Livy’s eyes widened.
“You better not touch him, he’s the only one that cares about me! The both of you are just selfish!!” She shouted.
Senator George smirked and pressed his phone, he should hear.
“One minute, get dressed, come to the car or Mathew is gone!” He said and left.
“Bastard!” Livy gritted her teeth.

“Good morning Mr President” senator George shook hands the moment he came in contact with the president.
“This is my wife Octavia and daughter Livy” he introduced Octavia and Livy who were standing beside him.
They were actually in the dining room.
“Nice to meet you guys, this is my wife Judith and my son is on his way” president Jameson smiled and they all sat down.
Judith was secretly glaring at president Jameson.
“Your daughter looks beautiful” president Jameson commented but Livy rolled her eyes.
Octavia stylishly stepped on her legs and she forced a smile.
“I haven’t seen your son, where is he?” Senator George asked.
“I’m here” a voice sounded from behind and they all turned back to see Dominic standing by the door.
President Jameson smiled.
“That’s Dominic, my son” he said and Dominic moved forward.
He looked at everyone on the table then his eyes landed on the girl of his age sitting beside a man he recognized as the senator.
He slowly clenched his fist but didn’t say anything. Hope it’s not what he’s thinking.
“Dad, who are these people?” He asked angrily.
“You can see two elders in front of you so have a seat and greet them,” president Jameson replied, stylishly giving him some side eye.
“I believed I asked a fûcking question!” He replied.
“Dominic watch your words” Judith cautioned him.
Livy rolled her eyes and took a glass of water.
“Can you just sit and listen to what your father and I have to say?” Judith said calmly.
“No, I’m not sitting until I know what these people are doing here!” Dominic replied.
Livy banged her fist on the table when she’s had enough and all eyes went to him.
“Why don’t you guys just tell him that you want the both of us to get married” she shouted and Dominic’s eyes went to his dad.
“Getting married? Really dad?” He said disappointedly.
President Jameson looked at Judith.
“And mom you’re with him, I thought you were on my side here” Dominic added, staring at his mom.
“Baby..” Judith stood up but he moved back and shook his head.
“I’m glad we are all here, let me make it clear in front of everyone. I’m not marrying anyone, I have a girlfriend which I love very much and she’s the only one I’m planning to marry in the future” he said out loud.
There was silence in the whole room before president Jameson finally burst out in laughter.
“Plan.. planning to marry? You’re not talking about that church rat are you?” President Jameson coughed as he laughed.
“I’ll say it again dad, my girlfriend’s name is Gwyneth Lee, if it’s not her then it’s no one,I’m not marrying this girl!” He replied and Livy gasped then huffed.
“I mean duh! I don’t want to marry you either, I have a boyfriend too” She rolled her eyes and looked elsewhere.
“I’m glad we are on this page and if everyone will excuse me I’ll take my leave” Dominic turned around and began leaving.
President Jameson angrily stood up, he dipped his hands in his pocket and brought out a gun.
“One more step!” He threatened as he pointed his gun at Dominic.
