“I saw you screaming, are you okay?” Erica who just came out of the lecture room asked.
Gwen shook her head negatively.
“I’m not, my mom just called me, Naomi is in the hospital” Gwen replied.
“Naomi is where? Is she okay?” Dominic who was also coming out of the lecture room asked.
“Naomi is fine, but her father isn’t, I heard he got stabbed” Gwen replied, close to tears already.
“That’s bad, which hospital is that? We should go see her” he said and Gwen nodded.

Naomi was sitting and looking at her father’s face in tears.
“I thought you and Mom were just having some normal arguments but why did you allow it to turn to this?” She said softly and cleaned her tears.
The door opened immediately and Gwen stepped in.
“Uncle Doreen” she muttered when she saw him laying on the hospital bed and a tear drop fell from her eyes.
Without thinking twice, she immediately rushed over to his side.
“Uncle Doreen, what happened to you?” She cried as she touched his face.
Naomi just looked at Gwen but didn’t say anything.
“Is he okay? Have the doctor examined him? How’s he doing now?” Gwen asked worriedly.
“The doctor said he’s out of danger” Naomi muttered.
“Good, that’s good” Gwen nodded before standing up.
“I was really worried, I’m glad he’s recovering well, I’ll go wait outside” Gwen turned around to leave but Naomi stopped her.
“Gwen!” Naomi called and Gwen turned to look at her.
Before Gwen could even say or do anything, Naomi moved closer to her and hug-ged her immediately.
“I’m so sorry Gwen, I’m sorry for everything I’ve done, I’m such a stupid and bad friend” she cried.
Gwen slowly hug-ged her back then rubbed on her hair.
“You’re not stùpid and you’re not bad either” she said.
“No I really am, I should have understood you but I pushed you away and blamed you for everything” Naomi sniffed and pulled away.
“Actually the truth is I was really jealous of you, I envied your life so much, you were so perfect, smart, stayed in a good room with cool roommate, have a perfect family and really pretty, I felt like you were taking everything I wanted sometimes, you were always smiling happily like you’re not going throu-ghany problems but me, my family is garbage” she muttered and a tear fell from her eyes.
Gwen helped Naomi to clean her tears.
“I just felt like everyone likes you so much, I wanted you to feel what I was feeling, I was so miserable and I wanted you to feel it too that’s why I did those bad things to you, something I will always regret” Naomi bit her li-ps hardly.
Gwen smiled and cupped Naomi’s cheeks.
“Naomi I’m glad you told me all these things, I forgive you. Yes I agree that what you did was bad but no one is above mistakes and the most important thing is realizing and repenting from them” she said softly.
“I wish I can be like you Gwen, genuinely pretty, kind hearted, perfect…” Naomi was talking but Gwen placed her forefinger on her li-ps.
“If there’s one thing I know then it’s never compare yourself with anyone, we are all different in our ways. You’re kind hearted too Naomi, you’re unique and genuinely pretty, have you seen the way you look like when you sleep, and your eyes even your skin” Gwen said and Naomi laughed.
“Don’t flatter me” she said feeling a little embarra-ssed.
Gwen laughed shortly too before sighing sadly.
“I’m not perfect either, I know you liked Dominic and yet I was not only secretly attracted to him and jealous, I was really jealous each time I see you talking about him, each time I see the both of you together and when he kis-sed you at the party” she pressed her li-ps together and sighed again.
“I know I was really better than that and nothing will ever justify what I did Naomi” Gwen completed.
“No one is above falling in love too and besides I was never in a relationship with him but I liked him and didn’t realize that I put him first and leave you behind, if I had been by your side too then I’d actually notice things but I wasn’t” Naomi muttered.
“I love you Naomi, let’s never fight again” Gwen said with teary eyes.
“I love you too Gwen” Naomi chuckled in tears and they both hug-ged tightly.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
The both of them were Interrupted with some clapping sound, they pulled away and turned back to see Erica, Lucky, Xavier and his roommate clapping.
“Most touching scene I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life” Xavier faked a tears and did as if he wanted to hug Erica but Erica dodged him and he nearly tripped on himself.
“We should throw a little party for the most awaited day, # Naomi and Gwen finally getting back together!” Lucky clapped happily.
“Yes and before that” Erica brou-ght out her phone and took a picture of the both of them.
While everyone were talking and laughing, Dominic was the quiet one, his hands were just in his pocket as he stared before he decided to speak up.
“Mind if I talk to Naomi alone” he suddenly said.
Everyone turned to look at him but he had a serious look wearing on his face.
“Let’s give them some space” Erica said and left.
Xavier left, Lucky too and Edward went after her then Jace.
Gwen nodded at Naomi, she looked at Dominic too and nodded before leaving them alone.
“Let’s go out of the ward so we won’t disturb your dad” he said and Naomi nodded before stepped out with him.
There was silent for a while before Dominic turned to look at her.
“I’m not really good at apology but I’m really sorry for breaking your heart” he started.
Naomi only twitched her li-ps as she looked at nothing in front of her.
“I should have just told you earlier that I liked your friend Gwen but me liking your friend doesn’t mean I don’t wanna be close to you, I know we spent some time together and you might be thinking I had everything all planned up but the truth is I didn’t, you were the first girl I talked too and was close to and I really respected that, those times I fought for you wasn’t to make anyone jealous but because you’re my friend..”
“I get it!” Naomi cut him off.
“The more you keep calling me your friend, the more sad I get” she muttered afterwards.
“Sorry,if there’s anything I could do to take back what I did to get your hopes up then I will because honestly I don’t really know what to do, I don’t want to lose you as a friend as well” he said softly.
Naomi turned to face him.
“You’re a really handsome guy Dominic and it’s ha-rd for some girls not to crush on you, yes I liked you but that doesn’t stop you from liking who you want, even if it’s my friend and besides I can’t force what isn’t there or I might end up like my parents” she muttered sadly.
“I’m-
“Say you’re sorry one more time and I’ll make sure you join my dad in that hospital bed!” She cut him off and he covered his mouth immediately.
She smiled later on.
“Just like Gwen said no one is above mistakes so I forgive you” she said.
“Really?” Dominic replied.
“Yes! If you like Gwen then you have my full support to go after her, I won’t come in between you guys” she added.
“Are you sure?” He asked slowly as he gave her a serious stare.
“Yes! I promise” she nodded with a smile.
“Thank you!!” Dominic smiled and happily hug-ged her but it only lasted for some few seconds.
“I promise to treat your friend well and you’re a really sweet person Naomi with good sense of humor I guess it was destiny that says I can’t reciprocate your feelings but that one guy will be really lucky to have you in his life” he said and Naomi just smiled.

Everyone already left except from Gwen who decided to follow Naomi and the officers to the station in question of her mom.
Right now they were both sitting on the chair opposite the senior officer.
“Your mother has not just shown funny behavior in your neighborhood after stabbing your dad but also in this station, we had to take her to the hospital for check up” the officer said.
“Are you sure your mom isn’t sick? What was the last thing you discussed with her when you saw her last” the officer said and Gwen rubbed Naomi’s shoulders as she noticed that Naomi was a bit tense.
“My mom and my dad are found of quarreling all the time, my mom accuses my dad of cheating on her every day which I found quite normal because I’m used to seeing them like that. One day my dad called me saying my mom is really crazy and he wanted a divorce, he said I’m not safe with her and we should both move out then few days later my mom came to my school looking really angry”
Gwen was surprised as she was listening, how come she doesn’t know about all these.
“What did your mom say?” The officer asked.
“She accused me of hating her and she said she knew my father wants a divorce, she was really mad and was causing a big scene that the securities had almost escorted her out then few days later, just last night I heard that call that my father was rushed here and he was stabbed by her” she completed the story.
“I see, your mom acted violently on your dad because she didn’t want a divorce” he nodded.
Naomi breathed out while Gwen rubbed her back and soon a junior officer dressed in his uniform walked into the office.
“Officer Reggie, here’s the test result from the doctor” he gave the officer Reggie an envelope before leaving.
Naomi straightened her head to look at the officer as he went throu-ghthe envelope.
“It’s says here that your mother has been diagnosed with a medical condition called schizophrenia” the doctor said and Gwen gasped while Naomi was stilled.
“According to the doctor schizophrenia is a main mental health disease that causes hallucination and your mom has been leaving with this for years now, didn’t you know about this?” The doctor asked.
Naomi shook her head in tears.
“Your mother needs to be treated first before we enforce our punishment on her, we’ll be taking to the psychiatric hospital for treatment” the officer said and Naomi was crying already.
Gwen felt Naomi’s pain, tears came out of her eyes but she forced herself to be strong as tried consoling Naomi.
“Can I see her first, I have a lot of things to say to her?” Naomi asked in admist tears.
“I’ll send two officers to escort you!”

Tiana was putting on a strapped jacket that had padlock in both of her hands so she won’t be able to hit anyone.
“How dare you tie me up like this! I’m not crazy!!” Tiana yelled out as she struggled to break free.
“This way” the officers led Naomi and Gwen in but they didn’t allow them to go close to her.
When Tiana sighted Naomi, hatred flashed throu-ghher eyes.
“You’re such a traitor! Why are you here! You were the one who told them to tie me up like this huh!?? You ungrateful bit-ch !!” Tiana yelled violently.
Naomi couldn’t control her tears anymore when she saw her mom like that. She couldn’t even recognize her and with the way her mom was yelling, Naomi could tell that it’s possible for her mom to harm her dad.
She immediately ran out of the room, Gwen followed behind and Tiana’s voice could still be heard as she raised curses at Naomi.

Naomi has already calm down, she decided to talk to Gwen about everything and now they were taking a walk back to school.
“I’m such a bad friend” Gwen sighed.
“I can’t believe I didn’t know all these things you were going throu-gh” she muttered, feeling disappointed at herself.
“No you’re not, I didn’t tell you all these, I’ve always tried to stay strong and hide my pains but I guess I couldn’t do it forever” Naomi muttered.
Gwen faced Naomi and held her hands.
“From now on, I’ll watch over you like an a-ssigned bodyguard, I’ll make sure you don’t cry or suffer silently anymore” she said with so much determination.
Naomi only chuckled and pocked her nose.
“Right, do you still like Dominic?” Naomi suddenly asked.
“Huh?” Gwen eyes wide-ned.
“I know you still do, you don’t have to try to hide it anymore, it’s okay if you want to date him” Naomi said with a smile.
“Are you sure? What about you?” Gwen asked.
“Don’t worry about me, I’m fine with it and besides with everything going on in my life right now, I don’t think I have time to be in any romantic relationship” Naomi replied.
“Naomi I…”
“Shh! If you still like him then go after him, don’t keep a guy waiting or it might be too late” Naomi cut her off with a wink.
Gwen smiled and hug-ged Naomi tightly.
“Thank you Naomi” she whispered.

The door opened and Lucky rushed inside the room immediately, she met Edward laying on the floor and gro-aning and she immediately moved towards him.
“Edward are you okay? What happened to you exactly” she squ-atted beside him.
She received a call from him earlier, telling her to come quick and that’s he’s dying.
“I’m in pains” he gro-aned.
“Where?” She asked.
“My face! Urghh!!” He winced.
She moved her face closer to his and he tried to kis-s her but she was fast enough to slap his face off.
“Edward!!” She shouted.
“What? I just need a kis-s please” he pouted his li-ps and began moving his face forward again.
“Eww! Stop!” She said.
Edward sighed and sat on the floor.
“I know you kis-sed Jace last night so why won’t you just kis-s me so it’ll be equal” he said.
“What are you talking about?” She asked.
“I saw you and Jace kis-s last night” he repeated.
“So?” She asked.
“So why don’t you wanna kis-s me? Is it because I’m fat? I’m ugly or I’m not you or any girl’s dream boyfriend” he asked with his eyes teary up a bit.
“Why are you talking like this? You’re driving me crazy!!” Lucky yelled.
“Because I like you Lucky!!” He yelled back and there was silence for a while.
Lucky didn’t say anything, she kept staring at him.
Edward sighed and stood up.
“Don’t say anything yet, just gave me sometime” he said and walked out of the room then closed the door.
Lucky looked confused as she looked around.
“He likes me?” She thought and pointed herself.

A knock sounded on the door and Jenis went to open it. She was a bit surprised to see Erica, Gwen and Lucky.
“Naomi is in the bathroom, come on in” she made space for them to enter.
They entered, luckily Mabel and Brittany were not around so no problem actually, few minutes later Naomi came out of the bathroom.
She was shocked to see them there.
“bit-ch, come here” Erica was the first to stand up and gave Naomi and tight hug followed by Lucky.
“I’ve hug-ged Naomi enough already so I’m not hugging her anymore” Gwen said.
Jenis only chuckled as she watched them.
“We are glad everything are back to normal, so are you still interested in the small party?” Erica asked.
“You guys were serious about the party?” Naomi asked slowly.
“Of course” Erica smiled and Lucky brou-ght out hug bottle wine.
“Am I invited to the little party?” Jenis raised her hands from behind and Gwen nodded.
“Why not, come over here!” She called her over.

It was late in the night, Dominic was about going to bed when his phone peeped.
Gwen popped up in the screen and he tapped it.
★ I’m waiting for you in the school fountain XO!
He smiled and dipped his phone in the pocket before leaving the room.
“Where are you going bruh?” Xavier turned his face from his phone and asked.
“Somewhere” Dominic replied and shut the door close.
When he arrived at the fountain, he saw her backing him and he smiled.
She slowly turned around to look at him, there was a smile on her face too.
“Hey” he smiled again and she moved closer to him, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
Dominic’s eyes went to her hands on his shoulders before looking at her, she was staring right into his eyes.
That look… Dominic heart was already racing without his permission.
“I don’t want to keep you waiting anymore Dominic, I love you too” she said before crashing her li-ps on his.
