Damon POV
“ Thank you very much Damon”. Nora mum greeted me , I am really grateful
“ it is nothing ma”. I replied
“ when can she start?”. Nora mom asked in excitement
“ she will start on Monday , i will come and pick her”. I as-sured her
“ is it going to be a scholarsh!palso?”. She asked
“No, I will handle the bills”, I replied staring at Nora , she looked disturbe-d …..
“Thank you so much Damon”. Zara Said grinning
“ you welcome baby”. I replied ruffling her hair
“ I will take my leave now”. I said as I stood up
“Alright”. Nora mum said

I walked towards my car with Nora beside me,
“Is there anything you want to tell me?”. I asked her
“No””. She replied smiling
“ Alright”.I said giving her a pe-ck on her forehead and don’t forget this, I said handing her the two bags of clothes
“Oh my bad! I almost forgot the clothes”. She said
“ Bye”. She waved at me as I drove off

“ what exactly is Nora hiding”. I thought, it was very obvious she lied to me
“ did she lie to her family also, but why?
I glanced at the time on my wristwatch, it was 3pm.
“ Good”. The director will still be on seat.
I drove into the school compound and headed to the director office

“ Damon”. The director called in surprise as soon as I walked in
“ Peter”. I called him by his first name, I nee-d a favour from you
“ anything for you Damon”. he said smiling
“I nee-d the info of a p@rticular student”. I told him
“Who?”. he asked
“ Nora stark”. I replied
I watched him search throu-gh some files
“ here is it”. he said handing it over to me
I opened the file and smiled when I saw her past results
“ she is really smart”
I turned to the next page and g@sped in shock at what I saw , her guardian is Mr Parker.
“ how is this possible ?”. I asked the director with shaky hands
“Oh, Mr Parker paid her fees”. he replied
“ which Mr Parker ?”. I asked still believing there might be a mixup somewhere
“ The same Parker working as the Director in your company”. he replied
“ how the hell did Nora know Mr Parker”. I thought
I held my che-st as I felt my heart raced and I immediately realised I was in love with Nora……

“ The blue or the pink”. My sister asked
“ I prefer the blue”. I replied
“ The blue will be perfect then”.she said grinning
“ is it a must you go to the p@rty?”. I asked her
“ yes, I have to go see Damon”. She replied
“ it is a company p@rty and not a disco p@rty”. I said with an eye roll
“ it doesn’t matter baby girl”. She said , a p@rty is a p@rty
I watched as she kept on gushing on how she will be the prettiest , how Damon will stare at her ……
“ how did she know Damon”. I wondered, why is she so obsessed on getting Damon………

“ Are you sure you both are not d@t!ng?”. My mom asked as we checkout the clothes Damon bought
“This go-wn is so pretty”. Zara said holding a pink go-wn
“ really?”. I asked glaring at her
“ did I do anything wrong?”. She asked
“ No”. I replied
My mom looked at both of us and asked
“ are you sure she didn’t offend you because I noticed you were giving her angry stares since
“ she talks too much”. I blurted out
“ did I say anything I ought not to say?”. Zara asked innocently
“ No”. I replied b!tt!g myl-ips
“ I can’t wait to go to Adams middle school”. She said excitedly and I felt like squee-zing her mouth
“ yes, my baby will wear a pretty uniform and study in a beautiful clas-sroom”.My mom replied happily
I looked at them trying to wipe the tears rolling down my eyes .
“ Damon made my family happy, he made me happy……………….

I sat down outside looking at the stars in the sky when Zara c@m£ to join me
“ why are you not slee-ping?”. I asked her
“ I want to talk to you”. She replied
“ what is it?”. I asked her
“ what are you hiding?”. She suddenly asked

“ Nothing”. I replied
“ I know you very well”. She replied sm-irking
“ what do you mean,”. I asked
“ You lied about the scholarsh!pright?”. She asked
“ how do you know?”. I asked in surprise
“ you are my sister and I know you”.she replied

“ why did you lie?”. She asked
“ you are too young to know”. I replied
“ Explain in a way I will un-derstand”. She said
“ A man promised to help me with your hospital bill if I d@t£ him”. I told her sobbing
“ Mr Parker right?”. She asked
“ how did you know?”. I asked her
“ I suspected from the very day you made that call at the hospital”. She said
“ oh!”. I exclaimed
“ are you still d@t!nghim?”. She asked
“ No, I severe all ties with him”. I replied
“ Good , then tell Damon the truth”. She advised
“ why?”. I asked
“ because he is alre-ady suspecting you”. She replied
“ why did you say so?”. I asked her
“ are you dumb? didn’t you see the way he stared at you”. She replied

“ don’t hurt Damon”. She advised
“ how will I hurt him?, I can’t hurt him”. I replied
“ you can because he loves you”. She said
I looked at her and laughed
“ how can Damon love someone like me?”. I asked
“ I can see you are too dumb to notice”. She replied
I looked at her wondering how she knows too much
“ Good night Nora”.she said standing up
“ Good night Zara”. I replied her
She moved closer to me and hvgged me
“ I love you Nora and thanks for saving me”. She said and went into the room
“ do Damon really love me”. I thought.
I dialled his number and I was surprised he picked it up immediately
“ Damon”. I called
“ hey Nora, why are you not slee-ping?”: he asked
“Not feeling dizzy”. I replied
“ what are you doing?”. He asked
“ just outside looking at the stars”.I replied, what are you doing?”. I asked him
“ surfing the internet”. he replied
“ I just wanted to check on you”. I said
“ okay”. make sure you don’t stay out long”. He warned
“ Okay dear”.i said and ended the call
“ Did he really love me? but why didn’t he say anything about love when I confessed my feelings to him……..

I woke up the next morning still feeling Unhappy
“ why did Parker pay Nora fees”, I hope it is not what I am thinking.
I was tem-pted to go over to the office to ask Parker directly but later changed my mind, I will give Nora a chance to tell me the truth herself…….

“ Good morning Dad”. I greeted
“ morning son, you look pale”. He observed, are you alright?
“ sure”. I gr-unted
“ is anything the matter?”. he asked
“Nothing Dad”. I lied, just feeling a little bit stressed
“ alright son”. I replied
I smiled at Petra who was setting the dinning
“ see you later dad”. I waved heading outside
“ aren’t you going to wait for breakfast?”. He asked
“ No”. I replied

I got to school and luckily I met Nora along the hallway laughing with her friends
“Nora”. I called
“Good morning Damon”. She greeted
“Can I talk to you for a moment?”. I asked
“ sure”. She replied
I held her dragging her along with me ignoring the stares and whispering from other students
“ where are we going?”.She asked
“My clas-s”. I replied

We got inside the clas-s and luckily none of those crazy friends of mine were in clas-s
“Is there any problem Damon?”. She asked
“ No”. I replied smiling and she sighed in relief
“ I thought you were mad at me or something”. She said
“ how can I be mad at you?”. I asked her smiling and I saw her blu-shed
“ Nora, I nee-d to see your uncle”. I said watching her expression
“ what em er why?”. She stammered
I studied her , she felt so uneasy
“ why can’t she tell me the truth”. I thought
“ I just want to thank him for his as-sistance”. I replied
“ it does not matter”. She said
“ it matters, I want to take over from where he st©ps”. I said c@r£ss!ngher cheeks
“ really?”. She asked
I nodded.” It won’t cost me anything “
Oh Damon, you have done enough for me”. She exclaimed sobbing
“ it is nothing”. I replied wiping her tears

“ how much do you love me?”. I asked her

I looked at the girl in front of me, I was really confused about her. If she really loves me very much as she claimed why can’t she tell me the truth?
I am seriously going crazy about her and I must admit I really love her also but I am scared of her hurting me…
“ do you love me Damon?”. She asked suddenly

I chuckled placing myl-ips on hers and k!$$£d her, I felt her k!$$£d me back and we stood there k!ss!ngeach other hungrily……..
The door suddenly flung open and my two friends walked in
“ what the hell is going on here?”. Donald asked tea-singly
I broke the k!ssignoring his question
“I won’t be able to drive you home Nora”. I told her
“ why?”. She asked
“ I nee-d to do something important”. I lied
“ it is alright, I will just used the taxi”. She said
“ do you have enough money?”. I asked her
“ I em yes No yes “. She stammered
I di-p hands into my pocket and brou-ght out my wallet
“ here, you can have everything”. I said giving her all the money
“It is too much”. She said rejecting it
“ you can buy anything you nee-d”. I said forcing it inside her bag
“ you have done enough for me Damon”, she said in appreciation
“ it is nothing”. I replied
“ will you come over for lunch?”. She asked
I shook my head negatively
“ why?”. She asked
“ I will be busy”. I replied
“ oh!”. She exclaimed nodding
“ I will come pick you by 6pm tomorrow “. I said
“ wow!, I can’t wait”. She said excitedly
“Make sure you are re-ady before 6, I don’t like waiting for too long”. I warned
“ sure”. She said
“ you can go to your clas-s now”.i told her
She nodded and turned to leave
I watched her as she left

“ what exactly does she have with Mr Parker .Mr Parker is a known flir-t, was Nora one of his girls? but she told she she is still a vir-gin, I really nee-d to un-derstand what is going on….
I was scared of being around her for a long time before I do something crazy, I am damn attra-cted to her but I nee-d to find out the truth before taking our relationsh!pto the next level……….

“ why are you smiling?”. Noami asked sitting beside me

She nodded. Will you attend the company p@rty?”. She asked
“ sure, Damon asked me to be his d@t£”.I replied

“ will you be attending?”.I asked her

“ I will be studying”. I replied
“ cool”. I said , I looked around the clas-s and met Tonia deadly gaze

I headed to the car park with Noami
“Bye”. I waved at her
“ aren’t you waiting for Damon?”. She asked
“ he told me not to wait”. I replied
“ But his car is still here”. She said pointing to a white sport car with the name Damon customised on it
“ he is busy”. I replied shrugging my shoulders
“ alright dear, She waved, have fun at the p@rty”. She cheered as she drove off
I headed to the junction and flagged down a car
“ Back of crescent block plea-se”. I said as I got into the taxi
“ how can a beauty like you live in the slums”. The driver asked eyeing me throu-gh the rear mirror
“Just drive”. I yelled
“ I am sorry”. He apologised
I thought about Damon throu-ghout the drive, I was alre-ady missing him
