I wish School wouldn’t start today, but too bad it will. I woke up late, really late and here I am trying to get to School as soon as possible. I’m pretty sure I missed a clas-s alre-ady.
“You’re late, anyways Happy new year “Cam says as I sit beside her for history clas-s.
I smile and pu-ll her into a hvg “Same here B” I say and ruffle her hair.
“Come on st©p ” she hits me on my shoulder smiling.
I look around the clas-s and greet those beside me, then my eyes went to Angel’s seat.
“What’s wrong with Angel today? She look sick ” I ask Camile.
“Well, I heard her foster Dad died on new year’s eve ”
“Oh my God ” I g@sp.
Camile shrug and bring out a chocolate bar from her bag. She re-move one and start eating.
“Won’t you offer me ” I raise an eyebrow looking at her.
“Suit yourself ” she says.
I glare at her and snatch the chocolate from her.
During lunch I went over to Angel’s. She look Suprise to see me here so I quic-kly speak up “I’m not here to cause a fight ”
She heave a sigh of relief. “So what are you here for? ”
“I heard what happened.. ”
“Okay you can go “she cut me off arrogantly but I continue anyway.
“I’m sorry about your Dad plea-se accept my condolences ” I Suprise the people looking at us by hvgging her even if she didn’t hvg me back.
“I’ll go see your mom at home after School “I dis£ngage myself from her.
“That’s what I’m here for ” I smile. I take a look at her friends who are staring maybe trying to figure out what I’m up to.
She was still in daze when I turn to go “Gemma!” I heard Angel call my name and I st©p walking.
“Uh ” I answer turning to her.
“Thank you and I’ll be expecting you “she smiles.
I nod at her and walk back to my seat.
“What were doing with Angel ” Camille ask.
“To pay my condolence “I reply her as I start to eat my spaghetti.
“Why? I thought you are not in talking terms ”
“Well, things change ” I shrug.
“Yeah right, just you like you’ve changed “she scoff.
I st©p eating and stare at her.
“I don’t un-derstand you anymore Gemma, I don’t know you. You hide things from me and you even…. ”
“Wait,,,wait.. St©p ” I cut her off. “You said I hide things from you? ”
“Obviously “she replies.
“I think you should refer that statement to you Camille. If someone ask me to say something about you as your bestfriend, the only I can say is that your name is Camile Brown and your fav colour is Red!. Nothing else cos I don’t anything else about you, so tell me who keeps secret ”
“Don’t try to change the fact that you’re acting so unlike you ”
“That’s because I started mingling myself with better people. People who add good things to my life, people that gives me advice people that don’t compliment me whenever I do something bad but they scold me and mend me to be a better person. And those people are the type that I want to keep in my life not some fake friends”
“Fine! I guess you want me out of your life right? I’ll leave. But don’t think I’ll leave easily ” she stands up.
I shake my head as I watch her leave. I glance at Angel’s direction and caught her staring. I f0rç£ a smile which she returned and look away.
After School, I fulfilled my promise to Angel. Her mom was happy to see me, so was Angel. She said she didn’t expect me to come. Well I did.
I drop myself on the couch tired.
“Some water ” someone says and I alre-ady know it’s Brenda. I open my eyes and collect the cu-p of water.
“Thank you ”
“You’re welcome ”
“Hey Gemma food is re-ady ” Ruth says from the dinning.
“I’m not hungry but I’ll eat a little “I smile at her and pu-ll out a chair, sit my bu-tt down and dish my food out.
“Aren’t you guys gonna eat ” I ask the ten of them who are gisting in the kitchen. We have ten maids actually.
“We will when master comes “Ruth replies.
“Why? ”
“That’s how we use to do, we eat after you both have eaten ”
“Really? Well then let’s eat together today ” I stand up and walk to the kitchen.
“Come on you guys let’s go. It’s an order ” I say knowing they will decline.
“Okay guys let’s go ”
I smile and walk back to the dinning room they join me and we starts eating.
Soon Dad c@m£ and the maids stand up but dad actually ask them to seat back and continue eating. He gave me a thumbs up and I grin.
He get his food himself and took it upstairs to his room.

“Are you sure you made this? ” Adrian was perplexed as he eats the food I prepared. I had ask him to come over, so that I’ll just show him I can cook now.
“What made you learn? Me? ” he held his signature smug smile on as he looked at me.
“You wish ” I sneer as I gr-ab a fork and eat with him in the same plate.
“Well thanks for cooking for me. That’s ro-mantic of you “he grins.
I shake my head not able to keep a smile that forms of my face.
I can feel the eyes of the head maid on us but I just ignore it. I don’t think she knows something is going on between Adrian and I cos we don’t act lovey dovey in public or do we? fv¢k we are just doing that now.
I drop my fork immediately and let out a fake cough.
“Take, drink some water “Adrian was fast to pas-s me water as he stares at me worriedly.
“Don’t worry I’m fine” I tell him my eyes focus on the head maid who is now coming towards our direction. Adrian trace my eyes and turn back.
“I hope what I’m thinking is not true, if it is I’ll suggest you hide it from your father or end it now “she says and walk away.
My shaking hand gr-ab the glas-s of water in front of me ti-ght£ñing my hand around it. I place the cu-p on myl-ips and drown the water in. I drop the glas-s before running up to my room.
I was sure Adrian followed me so I let the door opened. I started pacing around, my heart was beating really fast as if I’m scared of something.
Immediately Adrian entered I began my outbur-st ” I’m scared.. What if Dad doesn’t approve of our relationsh!p, what if he took me away from you? I can’t loose you Adrian. I can’t live with you not in my life ”
He gr-ab my shaking hands and pu-ll me in to a hvg. I hvg him back so ti-ghtly like he’s gonna sl!paway.
“I love you ” I tell him and his b©dy remain still.
He dis£ngage the hvg and cu-p my cheek staring into my eyes. “What did you say ?”
“I said I love you ” I say confidently staring back into his eyes.
Hisl-ips stretch into a smile. He re-move one of his hands on my cheek and place it on my back, then tilt my head and place a k!sson it. He move away but I close the gap between us and k!sshim. Ourl-ips danced with each other as we k!ssde-eply.
We st©pped k!ss!ngcatching back our breath. “I love you more baby ” Adrian smile as the stuck the strand of hair hanging on my face behind my ear.
I sigh as I pl@ywith the bu-tton of his shi-t.
“Don’t you think we should tell dad? If he finds out himself it’s not gonna be easy ”
“We will soon, don’t worry about anything “he as-sures.
I nod then rest my head on his che-st as he keeps his hand on my w@!st.
“When do you intend to tell me hun? ” we both heard dad’s voice behind us. At first I thought I was just imagining things until Adrian re-lease his grip and move away with his eyes wi-de. His face flu-shed.
I turn to see dad looking furious. His face, n£¢k and ear are red from anger.
“Dad? ”
“Yes daughter! You don’t expect me to find out right? So that I won’t take you away from him ” he sneered glaring at Adrian. If looks could kill he did be six feet un-der the ground right now.
“We can explain ” I persuad.
“No! You don’t nee-d to explain cos I un-derstand everything going on here “he says.
“Really? ” I was Suprise at his response. I look at Adrian who shakes his head in disapproval.
“Yes, I un-derstand that I made a great mistake by letting this s¢v-mbag get close to my daughter!! “he yells his voice was loud and thun-derous.

He ignores me and proceed to gr-ab Adrian’s shi-t then punch his nose ma-king Adrian fall on the floor with a loud m0@n .
I g@sp in fright as dad continues to punch him.
“Dad st©p ” I run to him gr-abbing his hand.
I knew if Adrian wants to fight back he will definitely beat my dad but instead he let himself get beaten up not like ill be happy with him if he fights my dad.
“Dad you should punish me not him ” I say tear building up in my eyes. He st©p and look at me.
“Do you think I won’t punish you? “he scoff.
“Then st©p beating him plea-se ”
“Why your teacher? Gemma “his emotion re-ads disbelief and dissapointment. He p@n-ts heavily.
“It’s not my fault ” I cried.
“Whose fault? His for being a pedophile who d@t£s younger girls “he points to Adrian.

“He’s only five years older than me ”

“No dad you are a good father ” I shake my head trying to hold him.
I step away and look at Adrian.
“Get the fv¢k outta my house and my daughter’s life ” the first I heard Dad swear.
Adrian manage to stand up and I tried to help. “Don’t you dare move an inch from where you are Gemma fv¢king villers “he roar.

“Don’t worry about me Gemma. I’m so sorry Mr villers I didn’t mean to… “Adrian tries to say but dad interrupt him. “Get out!!! ”
After Adrien left, I turn to Dad.
“What the fv¢k was that for hun? Can’t I make decisions for myself anymore. Do you fv¢king un-derstand that I’m no more kid and I have the right to choose any man of my choice not you to choose for me!!” I lash out.
Dad s£nd a sl@p across my face.

I scoff ” When do you even start caring about what people say, cos I don’t bloody care about what people think. I love Adrian.”

“Listen if you think you’re gonna take the same route as your mother. I won’t let you “he says ma-king me confuse.
“What happened to my mother? ” I demanded.
“Just stay in here and don’t you dare come out “he says and storm away.
I quic-kly pick up my phone and dial Adrian’s number.
He wasn’t picking. fv¢k Dad for this!
Later In the night I was able to reach him and I’m glad he’s okay.
I was about going to sleep when my phone screen light up. I pick it up from the be-d.

"I've been waiting for your call since forever " "Sorry, I was slee-ping " "That's okay " "Why do you resign? " "It's pointless working there anymore " "What happen doesn't mean you should loose your job " "You could have seen the look everyone gave me today, I can deal with that.. But your dad is mad at me and he's gonna fire me anyway." "Dad won't fire you Adrian. He loves you he's just angry " "You think so?" "Yeah, how did he take it " "He's still piss off. He gave silent treatment. It hurts " "I'm sorry " I apologize. "You have nothing to be sorry about, I don't regret being with you even if the world thinks we are idiots "he laughs. "So how will you manage without a job? " "I've save enough for my study, remember the time I told you I don't have what it takes to be a lecturer in college? " "Of course I remember " I smile. "I was talking about furthering my education. If I get the job after that, the pay is better than this and i can take care of us and our children " he says. How can he talk about children when we have not gotten out of this mess. "Why are you quiet? " he ask. "Oh okay, I won't talk about children anymore. Let's talk about how we gonna solve our problems. But I really want kids with you " I blus-h. "Adrian you do realize I'm still in highschool and I intend on going to college so I can't give you child now " "I know, I'm willing to wait till whenever you're re-ady " he says and my heart flvstered.
