Stella’s P.O.V
Jasper and I were at a cake testing to
see what kind of cake we wanted. We
sat in front of a table with so many cake
flavors. Gwen was also here but she
was ma-king sure that we were on
schedule. After the cake testing, we
were to find a venue.
“There’s so much cake,” I said in shock.
“Yeah,” Jasper chuckled.
“You guys can choose up to three
flavors,” Gwen told us.
“Noted,” I said.
“Let’s not waste time,” Jasper said
excitedly.
After the testing, we gave them our
order of how we wanted it. We started
to look for some venues for the
reception.
“So we’re looking for a beach venue?”
Gwen asked.
“Yeah. It’ll be nice to have the beach as
the view,” I told her.
“Jasper, any thoughts on this?” Gwen
asked.
“Whatever, Stella wants,” Jasper smiled.
I looked over at him and smiled back.
“You’re so kind,” I told him.
We went to one beach venue which had
a nice view. I looked around with Jasper
to see if it was good or not.
“What do you think?” Jasper asked me.
“I think it’s nice but I want to keep an
out more,” I told him.
“Of course,” Jasper said.
“We’re going to look at some others
before settling on one,” He said.
“Of course,” The lady showing us around
said.
“Come on,” Jasper said.
We looked around at three more venues.
Until we got to the last one. The venue
was both inside and outside. I looked
around and I honestly liked this one
better.
“I like this one. We could have the
dance floor here and the tables around.
And outside could be perfect for people
who want to take pictures,” I told
Jasper.
“So you want this one?” Jasper asked
me.
“Yes. Only if you want it as well,” I told
him.
“Of course I want it. It’s perfect,” Jasper
said before k!ss!ngmy head. I blu-shed a
little at him.
“I’ll have the papers re-ady for you then,”
The host said.
“s£nd it to my as-sistant plea-se,” Jasper
said.
“Of course.”
We left the venue to go back home. I
leaned against Jasper in the car. I
watched the buildings and places pas-s
as we went back home.
“You okay?” Jasper asked me.
“Yeah. Just thinking,” I told him.
“About the wedding?”
“Mhm,” I nodded a bit.
“Are you nervous?” Jasper asked.
“A little,” I told him.
“Don’t be. It’s going to be okay,” Jasper
said, holding my hand. I finally looked
back at him.
“I hope so,” I told him.
Stella’s P.O.V
I was with Gwen as we were discussing
wedding details. We were going over
what dress I wanted for both me and
my bridesmaids.
“What color were you thinking?” Gwen
asked me.
“For bridesmaids? I was thinking of a
nice pastel pink,” I told her.
“That can work. We’ll talk to Valarie on
designs,” Gwen told me. Her phone rung
ma-king her answer it quic-kly.
“Gwen Mae,” Gwen said.
“Yes sir… Yes she’s with me… We’re on
our way,” Gwen said before hanging up.
“Was that Jasper?” I asked her.
“Yes. We have to go to his company,”
She told me. I nodded before we got into
the car to go st©p by Jasper’s company.
Once we arrived to the company, we
went to Gwen’s desk first. She called
Jasper to let him know that we were
here.
“Can you s£nd in Stella? I nee-d to talk to
her alone,” Jasper said.
“Of course,” Gwen said. She looked at
me, ma-king me walk over to his office. I
opened it to see Jasper looking
frustrated.
“What’s wrong?” I asked walking over.
“Have a seat on the couch,” Jasper
said. I sat down and looked at him.
“What happened?” I asked.
“We nee-d to get married as soon as
possible,” Jasper said.
“We’re alre-ady married,” I said.
“I mean, we’re going to have to quic-ken
this process. They want me to run my
New York company as soon as
possible,” Jasper told me.
“Okay. So what now then?” I asked.
“I’ll talk to your dad and brother
pri-vately. Get their permission to marry
you. Then I’ll propose to you anywhere
you want. After that, we’ll s£nd out
invitations to the wedding a week from
then,” Jasper said.
“When do we have to leave for New York
then?” I asked.
“Around the first couple weeks of next
month,” Jasper told me.
“That’s soon,” I mumbled.
“If you want, I can move up there first,
get things settled and then you come
over when it’s re-ady,” Jasper said.
“I feel like I should go with you,” I told
him.
“No. It’s too sudden for you. Look, I’ll go
to New York first when it’s time. Then
when you’re re-ady, I’ll arrange a flight for
you to meet up with me,” Jasper said.
“Alright,” I nodded.
“I’m sorry that this has to go so fast,”
Jasper said.
“Hey, it’s alright. We’re in this together,” I
told him. Jasper looked at me and
smiled softly.
“drun!kme really did do right,” He said. I
laughed a little at his joke. I looked at
him as he smiled down at me.
“I should get going then. Get stuff re-ady
for the wedding,” I told him.
“Right. I’ll see if your dad and brother are
available soon,” Jasper said. I nodded
before getting up.
“Let me walk you out,” Jasper said. We
walked over to the door. I turned to him
and smiled up at him.
“I’ll see you at home,” I said.
“Yeah. I shouldn’t be out too late,” He
told me. I nodded at him. Jasper leaned
down and quic-kly gave me a k!sson the
cheek. I could feel heat rise up to my
cheeks.
“I’ll see you then,” He said.
“Bye,” I manage to say before going out
quic-kly.

Jasper’s P.O.V
I was with Stella’s father and brother at
Buffalo Wild Wings. I was treating them
to lunch while Stella was with her mom
and sister having a girl’s day out. We
were watching a game until her father
looked at me.
“So, Jasper, tell me, is my daughter
happy?” He asked.
“I hope so sir. I want her to be happy,” I
told him.
“Why do you like my sister?” I looked
over at Calvin and chuckled.
“She’s amazing. I love how down to
earth she is,” I told him.
“Your company, it’s doing well I
as-sume,” Mr. Matthews told me.
“Yes sir,” I nodded.
“I heard that you are moving to your
company in New York soon,” Mr.
Matthews told me.
“I am.”
“Does that mean you and Stella are
going to do long distance?” He asked
me.
“Actually sir, I was going to ask you
something big,” I said to him.
“That’s a bit scary,” Calvin joked. Mr.
Matthews nudged him ma-king me
chuckle again.
“What is it?” Mr. Matthews asked.
“I would like for your permission to
marry your daughter,” I told him. Calvin
looked over to me in shock.
“Really?” He asked.
“Yes, sir.”
“Jasper, we ha-rd ly know you-”
“I say go for it dude,” Calvin said.
“Calvin-”
“Dad, if you knew how miserable Stella
was growing up, then you’d un-derstand.
But you didn’t see how miserable she
was. Then she c@m£ back with Jasper
and I’ve never seen her so happy,” Calvin
pointed out. Mr. Matthews thought
about it.
“I guess you’re right. Jasper, I give you
permission to marry my daughter,” Mr.
Matthews said.
“Thank you sir,” I said.
“However, I just want to let you know,
I’m an ex FBI agent. I still have
connections,” He told me.
“Very noted sir,” I told him.
“Good.”
After the outing with her brother and
father, I went home. I walked inside to
see that Stella wasn’t home yet. I
walked to my room and went to my
safe. I put in my combination and took
out the ring I had bought recently for
Stella.
“Jasper, you home?” I heard. I quic-kly
put it away and closed the safe. I
walked out of the room to greet her.
“Yeah,” I said. I walked downstairs to
see her looking a little sad.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Just some minor drama,” Stella said.
“At least your nails look nice,” I said,
noticing her hands.
“Thanks,” She smiled a bit.
“I got permission,” I told her.
“Really?”
“Yeah. Now I just nee-d to wait till next
week to propose to you,” I told her.
“I can’t wait,” She smiled up at me.
Stella’s P.O.V
I was picking flowers for the bouquet
with Gwen. We walked around the
flower shop so I can pick out the ones I
like.
“Jasper told me that he got your father’s
permission to marry you,” Gwen said.
“Yeah. He did,” I smiled softly.
“That’s good. One step closer,” Gwen
told me.
After the flower shopping, we went to
Valarie. I discussed to her on what color
bridesmaid dress I wanted and how my
dream wedding dress to look. I felt tired
at this point.
“Jasper asked if you could have lunch
with him at his office. We’ll get some
lunch to go and you both could eat it at
his office,” Gwen told me.
“That sounds fine,” I told her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You look tired,” Jasper told me.
“Do I?” I asked him.
“You alright?”
“Planning a wedding is ha-rd work,” I told
him. Jasper chuckled at me before
taking a bite out of his food.
“When I’m done today, we can discuss
who’ll we’ll invite and sitting
arrangements,” Jasper told me. I
nodded at him.
“So, what’s it like in New York?” I asked.
“Hectic. No worries though, I bought us
a house where it’s not so loud,” Jasper
said.
“What does it look like?” I asked. Jasper
pu-ll-ed out his phone to look for it. Once
he found it, he showed me the picture.
“Wow. It looks amazing,” I said. It was a
smaller mansion than what we were in
now. This one however, looked more
cozier.
“Glad you like it,” Jasper smiled.
“Do you know anyone in New York?” I
asked him.
“I have close friends there. I know you’ll
like Tessa Bain. Wife of br@dley Bain.
She’s relaxed,” Jasper told me.
“You know br@dley and Tessa Bain?” I
asked in surprise. br@dley let out a
chuckle.
“Yes I do. In fact, I was a groomsman in
their wedding,” Jasper said.
“You must be close friends then,” I said.
“We are. That’s why I was hoping we
can invite them to the wedding,” Jasper
told me.
“Of course,” I said.
“Before I forget, I got you this,” Jasper
said before getting up to gr-ab
something from his desk. He walked
back over and I saw that it was a small
jewelry box.
“Jasper, you didn’t have to get me this,”
I told him.
“I wanted to,” Jasper shrugged. I looked
up at him before opening the box. I saw
a beautiful n£¢klace in there ma-king me
g@sp in awe.
“Here,” Jasper took the n£¢klace and I
turned around. I moved my hair as he
put it on me. I put my hair back after he
put it on me. I looked down at the
n£¢klace before looking up at him.
“I love it. Thank you,” I said,
“I’m glad you like it,” Jasper smiled
before leaning down to give me a k!ss
on the cheek.
