?Episode Thirty two?

~Audrey POV~

It’s_weekend

“You know it’s been long you bought my favorite chocolate, mum” I reminded her plainly as we both walked into the mas-sive shopping mall.

“You’re eighteen Mi cha, you should start behaving like an adult now” She joked, muffling her laughter.

“I’m seventeen” I retorted.

“I knew you’re going to say that, but you know you’re turning eighteen next month” She reminded.

My eyes wide-ned in surprise.

“What?”

“Don’t tell me you actually forgot next month is your month?” Mum asked, walking ahead me.

We already got to the grocery sto-re.

I scratched my nape- I completely forgot.

“I promise you it’s going to be one of the biggest day of your life, sweetheart” Mum winked at me, raising a bar of chocolate to my face.

I smiled and moved closer to her.

“Are you planning something special?” I asked her curiously, checking out some other chocolates.

She didn’t say a word and I glanced at her- only to caught her grinning to herself.

I rolled my eyes.

I hate surprises!

***
Min jun;

I trailed behind Dad as I watched him drop everything inside the trolley.

I’m really tired.

I was for-ced to come with him, I wonder why he’d insisted on coming to grocery sto-re himself, when there are enough maids to do it.

“Wait here, Aaron”

“Don’t worry, we are getting dresses for you after we’re done with this” He winked at me and walked away before I could utter a word.

I rolled my eyes, tiredly.

My dad would never change, he behaves like he’s younger while I’m elder.

He knows how much I hate going out, but yet he insisted I come with him- he almost carried me into the car.

Except from going and returning from school, and sometimes to get my painting materials- that’s the only time I go out.

I’m still thinking of an excuse to tell Dad, so I won’t be going to the annual school trip.

I was still in my de-ep thought, but suddenly, somebody bumped into me from my back.

“I’m sorry” The person quickly apologized before I could turn around- I can tell it’s a feminine, from the voice.

I twitched my mouth sideways before turning around to look.

I felt bu-tterflies swarmed up mas-sively in my tummy, immediately our eyes met.

She also looked shock, her li-ps her slightly apart and for the first time in my entire life, I felt like taking those strawberry li-ps into my mouth.

Gross, Min jun!
What has come over you?

She’s cladded in a jean skirt, revealing some areas of her thi-ghs- together with a yellow sweatshirt.

Her hair is neatly parked in a high pony tail.

She look so..

“Mi cha” A woman called, approaching us.

I smiled inwardly-I’m sure it’s her mum.

She’s also here with her mum?

“I’ve been looking around for you” Her mum said immediately she got to where she was standing.

She shot her mum an uneasy smile before glancing at me again.

I know by now I should’ve left the scene, but my feet are still feeble.

Her mum turned to my direction, she stared at me for some seconds before a wide smile crept up on her li-ps.

“Hi, handsome” She greeted amiably, walking towards me.

I couldn’t help but smile before bowing in greetings.

Guess what?

I like her since I spoke with her on phone the other day- she sounded lovely even at her worried state, when I had dropped the sad news to her, she sounded like her world has been shattered.

She’s a loving mother, I must say.

“Do you like my daughter?” She teases, glancing from my face to psycho’s face.

Oh no!
I should have left here when my mind had warned me to.

“You see this my daughter standing over here, she’s a really stubborn girl” She talked to me, like she’d known me for ages.

I just smiled.
Here’s a female version of my Dad.

“Mum” Psycho called, but she didn’t answer her.

“Could you believe she doesn’t have a boyfriend at her age?”

“But since I caught her staring at you, I’m sure she already something for you” Her mum sm-irks down at me.

Whoa!
I’m feeling on top of the world right now.

“Mum!” Psycho yelled again.

“Just keep quiet girl, I’m helping you out right now” She turned to her and scolded before turning to me again.

“She likes you, but she will never admit it” She bent a little and whispered.

I folded my li-ps to prevent myself from laughing out right now.

This woman is very funny.
What help is she talking about?

“So my boy, could you please share me your contact?” She winks.

“I’ve fallen in love with you already, and I would like you for my daughter” She raised her brows, still winking at me like she had something in her eyes.

“I had enough!” Psycho scowled, marching to where we were standing.

She grabbed her mum wrist.

“Let’s go, mum” She said angrily.

“Don’t be a kill joy, Audrey” Her mum pouts.

“Let me have this cute boy contact, at least” She blinked her eyes.

“No!”
“We are leaving” She said and started pulling her mum along.

Her mum tilted her head back.

“What’s your name, handsome?” She asked me, laughing at how her daughter was pulling her.

“Min jun” I blurted before I could stop myself.

“You’re cute, dear” She shot me an adoring smile.

“Bye, Min jun”
“I wish to meet you again, very soon”

‘Me too’

She waved at me and I waved back.

“What are you staring at?” I heard Dad’s voice and I almost flinched.

Psycho and her mum were out of sight, but I still couldn’t look away.

“Psycho and her mum was here” I told Dad with a smile on my face.

He gasped.

“Really?” His eyes bulged.

“Which direction did they took?” He asked, looking around the whole place, probably searching for them.

“You should have call on me, Aaron” Dad pouted, reminding me how psycho mum had pouted like a child too earlier.

Those two really would make a great match.

“Let’s go, Dad”

“I’m really tired” I told him, walking ahead him.

“I’m sure you are not”

“Not after meeting your love” He jokes.

I glanced at him and he quickly look away.

I smiled inwardly.

Am I really in love with her?

?Episode Thirty three ?

?Audrey POV?

I kept pulling her hand till we got to the car park.

The female sto-re attendant has already kept our goods in the car boot.

“Would you let go of my hand now?”

I turned to face her with a scowl.

“What was that for, mum?” I growled at her, yanking away her hand.

“What was what?” She possum, arching her brows.

“Why would you do that?
“You were talking to him like you’ve known him for ages” I flared.

She lifted a shoulder before walking towards the driver’s side.

I stomped on my feet and went into the car, suppressing my anger.

She ignited the engine immediately I got in, and drove out of the parking lot.

“Won’t you say something?” I groused, pushing the strand of my hair back.

She glanced at me with a smile filled face.

“What do you want me to say, Audrey?”

“I really like the kid and I’m sure you like him too” She smi-rked.

I huffed, crossing my hands below my che-st.

“How could you be so sure?” I queried.

“Be honest Audrey”

“Why were you lost staring at him earlier?” She asked me, not looking away from the road.

“Well, that was Duffer”
“And I was just surprised to see him at the grocery sto-re, that’s all”

The car screeched to an halt immediately and I wonder why.

“Why did you stop the car?”

“You meant, that cute boy back at the sto-re was the same Duffer you told me about in your clas-s?” She asked with pop-eyed.

“Yes” I nodded.

“Why didn’t you tell me, Mi cha?”She half yelled, causing me to flinched on my seat.

“And what’s the big deal?” I co-cked my brows at her.

She hit my forehead jokingly and I frowned.

“That was not fair, Audrey”

“A little introduction won’t hurt you” She eyed me for some seconds before kicking the engine to life again.

“You were all over him mum, you didn’t give a room for an introduction”

“Besides, why should I introduce him to you?”

“It’s not like we normally talk or something” I rolled my eyes and she shook her head.

“Drop your ego and admit it, Mi cha” She grinned, driving carefully on the highway.

I furrowed my brows.

“Admit what?”

“You like Min jun” She glanced at me and tucked out her tongue.

I just scoffed.

“I mean come to think of it, I’ve never caught my daughter staring at a guy like that”

“Stop it, mum”

“You have nothing to worry about, Audrey”

“Min jun seems to be a good boy” She added, a triumph grin plastered on her face.

?

I kept rolling from one edge of the bed to the other.

My mind wouldn’t stop straying back to my encountered with Duffer.

What was he doing at the grocery sto-re? -Perhaps he came with his mum too.

Or his girlfriend?

No, I’m sure he doesn’t have a girlfriend.

He doesn’t even interact with girls, so he can’t possibly have a girlfriend, right?

The image of him popped up again and a light smile ran across my li-ps.

He was dressing casual- a white armless shirt, with a black trouser short.

He was looking so hu-ge and really cute.

I remembered how he was smiling so lovingly at my mum and my smile grew wider.

I’ve never seen him smile like that before untill today, and to think my mum made him smile that way is giving me some kind of happiness.

But he was so stupid, he didn’t even say a word to me when I’d bumped into him- he was just staring like he’d lost his tongue.

Foolish boy, he will hear from me tomorrow.

My phone buzzes on the table, disrupting my thought.

Geez!
Who could it be? – it’s pretty late.

I quickly got on my feet and went to pick it.

Its Kwan.

Huh?
Is she alright?

I slide the answer icon and pressed the phone to my ear.

?”Best!” She screamed happily and I had to remove the from my ear for a while before taking it back.

?”What’s up, Kwan?”
?”Why are you calling so late, this is past 10″

I sat down with a slump on the bed.

?”I really can’t wait till Monday to tell you this Audrey, and that is why I’m calling this late” She talked with so much happiness, and I wonder what could be the reason behind her happiness tonight.

?”What is with your happy mood, Kwan?” I asked her with an eye roll, I’m slightly pissed at her for interrupting my thought.

?”It’s Seo yun”

I adjusted on the bed.

?”He asked me out this evening, Audrey”

?”He wants me to be his girlfriend” She told me the news and I huffed.

?”What was your response?” I asked calmly.

?”I couldn’t contain my happiness girl, we both know it’s what I’ve been wishing for since all these years” She said, literally purring with great joy.

?”So I agreed to date him”

My jaw dropped immediately.

?”You what?”
I asked her again, perhaps I just heard wrong.

?”I said yes, Audrey” She said in a low voice now.

?”How could you be so foolish Kwan?” I blurted angrily.

?”Your friendship is not even up to three weeks before he asked you out, and you agreed immediately”

?”Don’t you think he might be up to something?”

?”Is that how much you’re desperate to date him?”

She just kept quiet, not saying a word.

?”You don’t have to be harsh on me Audrey”

?”I un-derstand you’re not happy for me,but it’s fine; I can take of myself” She said simply and before I could say something, the phone got disconnected.

Huh?
I stared at my phone, speechlessly.

Why can’t she just un-derstand this guy is of no good?

♠ Kwan POV ♠

It’s_ Monday_morning

I came to school earlier than usual, I’m feeling elated that I haven’t been getting enough sleep since last Saturday.

He should come to school to early, I can’t wait to see him.

I watched as students dallied into the clas-s.

Jin met my gaze and I rolled my eyes before taking my eyes to somewhere else.

It’s been two weeks already?
Whoa!

“Good morning, Kwan” I heard and I looked up.

It’s Audrey.

I just gave a nod and turned my eyes away from her figure.

I’m really mad at her.

And with the way I’m looking at things, it will be best if we just part ways.

~~~~
“I’m really serious about what I told you over the phone on Saturday, Kwan” Seo yun said in a sincerity tone.
My cheeks flamed up so I quickly look down at my feet.
We were both standing next to each other in the basketball court room.
Few people were also there but they were not looking at our side.
“These past few days, I realized I am madly in love with you Kwan and I am ready to do anything to prove it to you” He gushed out.
I looked at him.
His eyes pricked into mine, and I could read the sincerity all over his face.
I gulped down my saliva before speaking up.
“I was serious about my respond too” I told him, itching my hair nervously.
“I promise you won’t regret it, Kwan” He offered a loving smile and which I returned sweetly.
****
It’s closing hour, students has already left the clas-s to their various homes- including Kwan.
She has been giving me some kind of attitude since morning- and when I tried talking to her, she snubbed me.
Well, I’ll just let her be.
Right now, I’m thinking of how to approach Duffer but I can’t think of one.
“Hi, Audrey”
A voice snapped me out of my thought.
Jordan.
“What do you want?” I asked him, trying not to yell.
“Can we talk outside?” He said, pleading with his eyes.
I didn’t answer him.
I stood up and carried my backpack.
“Your accusations are wrong about me” He spoke up.
“I’ll find it out myself”
“Like I said, all I nee-d is a prove and I’m getting it very soon” I gritted out and walked past him.
I glanced at Duffer’s seat and it’s empty.
He already left?
Gosh!
This is all that fool’s fault.
I ran out of the clas-sroom and sp-otted him from where I was standing.
I hastened my steps to catch up with him and when I got close to him, I slow down a bit.
He’s not even looking back- fool.
We both climbed down the stairs and we are now in the school premises.
An idea niggled at me and I smiled.
Thank God, there are just few students around.
I deliberately tripped and fell to the ground.
“Ouch” I yelped in pain, expecting him to glance back.
He did and looked forward almost immediately.
I felt a heavy thud in my head.
What?
I got on my feet and ran to him.
“Hey” I shouted, walking behind him.
“You’re a bad person, didn’t you see me sitting on the floor?” I asked him, dusting my stained skirt with my hand.
He didn’t stop to look at me.
He walked out of the school premises and I followed.
“Are you deaf?” I yelled and he finally turned around to look at me.
“What’s your problem, psycho?” He asked calmly.
“A normal guy would give me a hand back there” I said aggressively, glaring at him.
“And who am I to do that?” He retorted.
“I am not him” He added and looked away from me, glancing at his wrist watch every seconds.
Him?
“What do you mean by him?” I asked him with quizzical expression.
He opened his mouth to talk but a car honked, interrupting him.
I watched as Jordan or whatever his name is stepped out of the school premises and walked towards the car, which was parked close to where we were standing.
I looked from Duffer’s face to Jordan’s face, they were both glaring at each other.
A young pretty woman alighted from the car, I presumed it was his mum.
She shot Jordan a beautiful smile, but he wasn’t even sparing her a look.
What’s with this two?
“Come on, Jordan” His mum said as she collected his backpack from him.
Jordan finally looked away and went into the car.
His mum looked to our direction and I bowed lightly in greeting.
I noticed she was now staring at Duffer and Duffer too was staring at her.
She left where she was standing and came closer.
“Min jun?” She muttered.
Huh?
My mouth opened in bewilderment.
They knew each other?
Before I could process what was going on, Duffer has already walked away.
“Min jun!” She screamed, running to where he was standing.
But he already boarded a cab and took off immediately.
“Min jun, please listen to me” She cried, running after the cab.
She ran for a while and fell down.
Ouch!
I glanced at where her car was parked, thinking Jordan would be out of the car by now- but I was wrong.
What kind of a son is he?
Didn’t he see what just happened?
I ran to where she was lying and made her stood up.
“It’s okay, ma’am”
She hu-gged me ti-ght, crying nonstop on my shoulder.
“Forgive me, Min jun” She wept bitterly.
I stro-ked her back tenderly- she smells so nice.
But what could be her relationship with Duffer? I thought within myself.
“Forgive me, son” She said tearfully.
My eyes wide-ned in surprise as I slowly disengaged from the hu-g.
She was still watching the direction the car had took.
“Son?”
She turned to me and nodded curtly.
