The maid dropped the tray and bowed lightly before proceeding to the kitchen to bring the rest.
I carried the dishes from the tray and arrange it properly on the large table.
The same maid brou-ght another serving dish, I sat down while watching her as she arranged the cutlery.
“Is Jordan home yet?” My voice came out sore, stopping the maid from turning away.
“Master Jordan is not home yet, ma’am” She replied politely with a small bow.
I nodded.
“You can leave now” I told her and I watch as she bow before leaving.
I glanced at my wrist watch- 9:10pm, where on earth is Jordan?
I sighed de-eply.
I don’t un-derstand what’s going in this house lately, my husband has become someone else entirely in the last couple of months.
He returns home drunk every night and whenever I tried asking what the problem is, he hit me instead.
A hot tear rolled down my cheeks.
I heard footsteps from my back and I quickly wiped my tears with my palms.
I tossed my head sideways.
Oh my..
It’s Jordan.
I quickly stood up.
“Jordan, my dear” I rushed to him, pressing my hands to his cheeks.
“Where have you been?”
“I was so worried about you, my dear” My eyes became water as I talk but he just sighed and walked past me, sitting on a chair in the dinning.
“What’s it, Jordan?”
I moved a chair backward and also sat down.
“I want to change my school” He bit out, not sparing me a look.
“What?”
“But why do you want to change your school?”
“I mean, is there something you’re not telling me?” I asked him.
“There’s nothing” He replied simply.
“And it’s not as if you’ll be the one to pay for my fees” He said bluntly and I felt my heart leapt in pain.
“So stay out of my business” He clenched his teeth and stood up abruptly.
I gulped down my pending tears as I watch him stormed off.
I shouldn’t feel affected by his words anymore.
No, I shouldn’t.
But I can’t just help it, I can’t help it when Jordan utter such hurtful words to me.
It’s been years already, it’s been nine years since I got married to his Dad, but yet he never regarded me as his mum. Of course I un-derstand I can never be his mum but I’m trying my best to be someone he can always confide in but no- he turned me down each time.
“And what’s your problem this time?” I heard his cold and I almost flinch but I composed myself, wiping my tears away.
“You’re welcome” I greeted with a quick bow while standing up.
I’m glad he didn’t came home drunk tonight.
“Where’s Jordan?”
“Has he had dinner yet? ” He asked, sitting on one of the chairs across the table.
“He hasn’t” I answered, setting the dishes.
“Why?”
“He just left here angrily before you came in”
“He said he wants change his school” I told him, not looking at him.
“What?” He muttered.
“But why?”
I scoffed inwardly.
“Maybe you should ask him yourself” I said flatly, dishing out the rice.
“Oh.. you can’t ask him anything because he’s not your son right?” He said and I slowly dropped the spoon to look at him.
“You won’t tell me to ask him myself had it been Jordan is your real son” He stated.
“When did you become like this, David?”
“You of all people know how much I’m trying my best to get close to your son, but he shut me out always and you know it” I almost yell.
“It’s because you lack the attributes of a real mother” He said and it felt like someone stoned my heart.
He stood up.
“So you can’t blame him” He shrugged and left the dinning room.
I felt my throat ti-ghtened as I couldn’t find a right word to say at that moment.
I just watch his back, hot tears streaming down my cheeks.

?Jin POV ?
“You sure I can do this?” I asked Soo who keeps glancing towards the clas-s direction to see if Min jun is approaching.
“Don’t start this, Jin” She cautioned.
“We already finalized this so let’s not back” I swallowed.
“I’m just nervous, Soo” I told her as I used the back of my palm to clean the sweats that are already formed on my forehead.
“I have this feeling it’ll go well, Jin”
“So be rest as-sured” She as-sured but I’m not convinced.
“He’s coming, Jin” Soo grinned and rushed to stand behind me.
I felt shiver immediately I saw him approaching.
“I can’t do this, Soo” I mumbled to her hearing and she huffed behind me.
“Stop being a chicken and pour out your feelings to him, Jin” She gr-unted and I just gulped.
“He’s approaching, Jin”
I just watch him walking to our direction, his gaze at somewhere else.
“You can do this, Jin”
But I quickly shook my head sideways.
I’ve never done such in my whole life.
“Min jun” I heard Soo’s voice, I jolted out from thoughts and realised Min jun had walked past us already.
“Please can I have your attention for a minute?” She pleaded.
I turned towards them and see Min jun staring down at Soo.
He took his eyes to my direction and I quickly look away.
Soo pinched my arm lightly but i didn’t budge, I knew what that means but I can’t do it.
“Uhmm.. Min jun” Soo began, taking a step closer to him.
“She really wants to talk to you” She continued but I just stare down at my entwined fingers, timidly.
“Jin” She called and I glanced at her.
“Now come forward and say your mind!” She yelled silently.
I shook my head, looking at my feet now.
“You really won’t talk? Huh”
She clic-ked her tongue in annoyance.
“Min jun, Jin really likes…” She stopped talking and I slowly looked up and to my surprise, I’m watching Min jun back as he walk away.
“You caused it” Soo fumes but I just bite my lower li-p.
Min jun is the only person that makes me feel like this, I lost my common sense whenever I see him around.
“But did he have to walk away like that?” I asked Soo and she twitched her li-ps.
“I never believed he could answer us at first but he did only for you to…”
She shook her head.
“I’m going to clas-s” She said and walked away.
“Soo”
“Soo” I called but she’s not answering.

“Yes!” I exclaimed happily as Kwan and I watch crazy blondie and her friend walk away.
“Here’s a chance, Kwan”
“We’re going to avenge what she did to you very soon” I beamed but Kwan just watch me, confusedly.
“What are you talking about, Audrey?”
“We both saw how Min jun walked out on them”
“So what revenge are you saying?” She questioned, squeezing her face here and there.
“Don’t be silly, Kwan” I rolled my eyes.
“Didn’t you see the look on her face back there?” I pointed a finger backward.
“It shows she’s really into Duffer and she can’t help it” I explained with smiles.
“I saw everything, miss Audrey” Kwan scratched her forehead as she talks.
“What I am asking is that how are you planning to avenge?” She co-cked her brows.
“It’s simple”
“I’m sure sooner or later they’re gonna come up with a silly idea which is going to land them in a hot soup” I smi-rked, pushing my hair back.
“And how would you know that?” She questioned.
I looked from my left to right and gestured her to bring her ear forward.
“I’m stalking her, henceforth” I whispered into her ear and turned to me with wide-ned eyes.
“No, Audrey”
“You won’t do that” She shook her head in disapproval.
“I’m going to do it”
“And I’m sure something good will come out of it” I further said but she just kept shaking her head.
“It’s dangerous, Audrey”
I shot her a sweet smile.
“I can handle it”
“Those people nee-ds to pay dearly for their deeds” I grinded my teeth and took her hand.
“Don’t you notice their third friend hasn’t been going around with them these past few days?” I asked as we headed to clas-s.
“Of course I do notice”
“But I don’t know what could be the problem”
“Actually,Ryan used to be a good girl before Jin won her heart” Kwan said.
“Perhaps she wants to be good again” She added and I just scoffed.

“So what’s the plan, Soo?” Crazy blondie asked her friend impatiently.
“Just calm down, will you?”
“You messed up the plan earlier” Her friend sounded peeved.
“I told you I’m sorry” Crazy blondie said calmly.
Her friend laughs.
“No one would ever believe that the almighty Jin can become like this all because of a guy”
“And it’s killing me Soo, but I’ve got to do this”
” Not when that Audrey girl is now shooting him some looks” She snorted and I rolled my eyes as I pressed my ear to the toilet door.
Idiot.
“All will be well”
“The plan is this..” She said in a very low voice.
I Gr0-ned inwardly, pressing my ear the more.
“You’re going to write a letter to him” She began in the same voice and I heard crazy blondie gasped.
“What do you mean letter, Soo?” She yelled silently.
“You know the rules..”
“Will you allow me to talk? Her friend bu-tts in and she kept quiet immediately.
“You’re going to write your letter from home, you make sure you express how you feel towards him in the letter”
“And you must get to clas-s before anyone else tomorrow morning, so you can drop your letter un-der Min jun’s desk” Her friend explained and I quickly covered my mouth to prevent me from gasping aloud.
“You’re such a great friend, Soo” Crazy blondie said, obviously happy with the idea.
“I really appreciate you”
“You’re always welcome” Her friend grins.
I twisted my li-ps and hurriedly moved away from the door before they come out.
This will be really fun..I thought within myself as I sauntered towards the clas-s.

I was playing a game on my phone when a knock came on the door.
“Who’s it?” I asked, hoping it’s not that woman.
“It’s me, Jordan” I heard Dad’s voice and I almost sighed with relief.
“Come in, Dad” I urged him.
The door creaked open and I looked up to see him walking towards me in the bed with a cute smile on his face.
“You returned from work earlier than usual today” I told him as I tossed my phone aside.
“Is everything alright?”
He sat down tiredly on the bed.
“Everything is alright son, except for the fact that you’re still not telling my why you want to transfer to another school” He said with a wry smile.
I let out a rueful breath.
“I’m just tired of the school” I shrugged.
“But this is the same school you’ve been attending since we relocated to South Korea here”
“And you once told me that you love the school”
“So tell me, what has changed about the school?” He further said and I rolled my eyes.
“Nothing Dad, nothing”
“I just got tired and that’s all” I said flatly, getting pissed already.
I picked my phone and resumed my game.
I heard Dad breathe out heavily but I didn’t even spare him a glance.
“Do you have a school in mind yet?” He asked calmly after a few seconds.
“Busan Foreign language High School” I replied, still not looking at him.
He sighed softly.
“Alright then”
“So when do you want to resume?” He asked and I looked at him this time with a light smile.
“Tomorrow, Dad” I beamed.
His eyes bulged.
“Tomorrow is too early, son”
“You still nee-d to get a transfer letter from your previous school” He said meekly and I frowned.
“You can do that throu-gha call, Dad” I pouts and he stare at me for a while before nodding his head in acknowledgement.
“Anything for you, son” He offered a loving smile and which I reciprocated, sweetly.
“Now go to bed, you’ve a great day ahead”He said while standing on his feet.
“I will”
“Goodnight, Dad” He pec-ked my forehead.
“Goodnight, Son”
And I watch as he walked out of my room.
