Willy’s POV

I don’t know how I’m feeling right now, but I was h0t with anger as I slammed the door behind me, walking out of her compound. Who am I to tell this
too? What will I tell Dad about Angela? My God! I
wish this was just a dream. I thought before I was interrupted by Juliana’s voice yelling out my name. Trying to control my anger, I didn’t move an inch from where I was standing and ignored her. I have nothing to discuss with her. I was pushed aside before I realized what was going on. My heart twisted with pain, my heart pounding as lump rose in my throat. “Ju…Juliana!” I whispered out seeing her b©dy laying on the ground. The car got away leaving her there. I can’t believe she just saved my life.

I sprang up and ran towards her, yelling out her name. By the time I got there, she was badly injured with blood all over her. I carried her to my b©dy, “Juliana, Juliana! Wake up.” I call out her name many times but no reply.
I quic-kly call for an ambulance. Within three minutes, they arrived. Juliana was quic-kly carried in while I told them about my sister, who was also carried in. My phone rang but I ignored it. Not the time to receive a call. I followed them because right now I’m all she got.

✒✒Adams. POV

“Bring her here!” He commanded the two boys.
There is no doubt at all, she’s the culprit. Adams
thought. He watched as Larry and Jerry flung her to the ground. Her hands and her legs were tied with a rope. A devilish grin appear on hisl-ips as she stared at her. “You really think you can get away with it?” He sounded dangerous. Adams moved closer rolling his wheelchair as he hit her on the face. His voice ha-rd ening, “who the hell s£nd you to me?”

Linda shifted back avoiding eye contact, she just gr-unted and bent her head low. Alre-ady steaming with anger, “You cheat!” Adams hissed. “where do you think you’re going? You really think you can kill me? No one dares!” He boasted. “Whosoever s£nt you will be happy I ended up on this wheelchair. Isn’t it?” He demanded, “Answer me!” He sl@pped her face ha-rd .
Linda raised her head and gawk at him. She moved back seeing the menacing look Adams gave her. “I won’t spare your life.” He muttered, hitting her repeatedly. “No one dares!” He reminded her.

Linda sat there in silence not looking at Adams. The multi-ple sl@p he gave her was extremely ha-rd and painful, but that won’t make her spit out anything.
“You’ve been poisoning my drinks all this while?” Adams question interrupted her thoughts but she continue staring at the ground, not replying the fuming Adams who looked very angry. “I believe I’m talking to someone.” He shouted at her, pu-lling her hair. Linda swallowed ha-rd , enduring the pain for as long as she could, not saying a word. She gritted her teeth against the pain as Adams slammed her head to the wall. Tears streamed down her face, with her eyes closed, “I’m never going to betray my friend.” She said very slowly that Adams heard.
“Your friend?” He glance at her direction as she fli-cked him a nervous glance. “So, you’ve been helping a friend?” He asked desperately in nee-d for an answer. “Whosoever that friend is, whether a male or female, is going to be a dead meat.” He threatened.

“Leave my friend out of this!” Linda finally spoke up, realizing what will happen to Juliana, she was re-ady to protect her from Adams. “Do to me all you want to, now that you have me.”
Adams smiled at Linda devilishly and turned to both Larry and Jerry. “Larry get me my phone, I nee-d to talk to Lucky. I nee-d him to find out where her silly as-s lives, he said pointing to Linda, I nee-d him to find out who she lives with, who she works for and especially her special friend. “And you jerry, find out what’s keeping willy that he can’t pick my calls.”
He faced Larry, “watch over her.” Turning to Linda, “you will regret ever having the courage to deal with me.” He threatened and sat back in his wheelchair, he collected his phone and turned his wheelchair, rolling himself out of the room.

George Rios. POV
George Rios hasn’t been going to work since he received Juliana’s call. He isn’t going out claiming not to be feeling well while his maid took great care of him. Adams promise to kill Juliana hasn’t been fulfilled because he has not call him to give him any news.
Petrified, George sat on the sofa in his sitting room staring at the ceiling, not eating the food his maid served him. Every pri-vate time he has, he thinks of a place called, ‘prison’. He can’t go to prison. Once Juliana is killed, he will be free and have his life back. His phone rang interrupting his thoughts, he picked it up and a voice c@m£ out sounding low, “Murderer! Be re-ady to spend the rest of your life in prison.”
Terror has written all over his face, “who is this?”
The door flung open revea-ling George Rios second child, Catherine. She halted on her way to her father and looked perplexed at her Dad’s reaction to something she didn’t catch. She was more curious and worried as her father slammed his phone on the floor shouting, “Its her again!” She heard him shouting Juliana’s name. She walked slowly sitting beside him. “Dad, is there something you aren’t telling me? What’s happening to you, besides, Dad, Juliana is dead. We all knew what those bastards did to her and your brother including his wife.” “What I know is that, she continued, whoever did that, whoever is responsible for my cousin and her parents death will always be my greatest enemy and won’t live to-”
Her words was choked off as she saw her Dad drank his cu-p of tea in one gulp, sweating and breathing heavily. She moved closer, “Dad are you alright?”

He choked up when he was trying to reply his daughter as sweat drop from his forehead. A knock on the door caused George to sank dee-per in his seat. “Come in,” Catherine said.
Two guys walked in, one in a casual clothes and the other in a police uniform. “What can we do for you?” Catherine cautiously asked. The two guys glance at each other and face both George and his daughter, turning to George, the one in casual clothes spoke up, “Mr George, you’re un-der arrest for the murder of Wilson Rios, your brother.”

“What! un-der arrest! For what?” Catherine’s voice c@m£ out in a low whisper. “Uncle was killed by the armed robbers. Why would my father be accused of such thing? Dad, aren’t you saying anything?” She faced her Dad who bent his head low, not saying a word. Has Juliana reported me? He thought.
The one in casual clothes signal to the one in uniform to bring out the handcuffs with him.

Catherine wouldn’t allow them to take her Dad as she was busy arguing with the police. “You can’t take him away, how do I believe your as-sertion against my Dad is true?”
“Calm down Madam! The one in casual clothes said, we won’t come here if we don’t have any proof, the wife of his brother re-”
” wife! Catherine interrupted, Did I just hear you say wife? Which wife are you talking about? Dad!” She turned to her Dad who was sweating really ha-rd with sadness, fear and guilt written all over his face. “Dad are you alright? plea-se officer you can’t take him like this, he’s not feeling well. Besides, the wife of my uncle is dead too.”
“No madam! The officer in casual clothes disagreed, you can come to the station yourself to see your uncle’s wife hale and healthy. We won’t spend anymore time discussing this. He faced George, we would like you to stay quiet because anything you say shall be use against you in the court of law.”
George Rios got up on his feet as Catherine hvgged her Dad with tears streaming down her face. “I know you didn’t do it Dad, I will call Daniel and we will meet you there. You can’t go to prison for what you didn’t do.” She told her Dad. George’s hands were handcuffed behind his back and he was taken away.

Lucky
“Hello, who’s this? Lucky asked is unknown caller.
“Surpris e! Its me, Linda.” She replied.

“WoW!! It’s indeed a surprise. Wasn’t expecting
your call .” since he just saw her at his Dad’s office
telling him, she c@m£ to see a friend who he knew
not.

He could hear her smile before she replied, “well, I
thought of giving you a chance, you know, what you
talked to me about.”
He smiled at her words, “you don’t have to go out
with me because I’m keeping your little secret.”

“Secret! Linda said teasing, you’re spilling it alre-ady
Lucky.”

“Lol! meet me down the h0tel, waiting for you
there.” He told her.

After a while, she stood at his front smiling, he
gr@bb£d her hand and took her to a restaurant near
by. They both ordered for what they want, “thanks
for giving me a chance. Lucky thanked Linda. She
smiled back at him saying nothing.
“You know what Linda, I don’t expect a pretty lady
like you mingling with Adams. Mind telling me
what’s wrong?” Lucky asked.

Linda sighed, “only helping a friend.” She was
honest with him saying no more. Their food was
brou-ght to them and they ate. After they were done
eating, he asked if she’s prepared to go back home. “Spending the whole day with you.” She announced
getting a big smile from Lucky, who was very happy
to hear that. “Then I will plead you to follow me
back to my room.”

“Room?” She sh0t him a look. “Hey, just to change
my clothes and take you everywhere here in the
city.” He as-sured her.
She grin at him, “Hmm, sounds like someone is
really happy.”

She followed him up, he excused himself after he
re-moved his trou-ser and shi-t walking inside the
bathroom. Linda slowly walked to where Lucky
dumped his clothes, she was here for a reason, and
the reason is to find and take the key Juliana saw
with him. She picked up his trou-ser and checked
the back pockets, she found nothing and
immediately checked the front pockets. She found
what she c@m£ there for. She took the key and
place the trou-ser gently the way she met it. She
slowly walked back to where she sat and hid the
key in her bag. Thinking of an excuse to leave as
quic-kly as possible, she began to act as Lucky c@m£
out.

Tears we-t her face as she was alre-ady in a standing
position.

“what’s wrong?” Lucky quic-kly asked seeing Linda
in tears.

“My…my friend had an accident and she was badly
injured.” She said in between her sob.

“My God! Let’s go.” Lucky said but Linda st©pped
him, “No..no, I want to go there alone. plea-se I’m
sorry I couldn’t give us a chance today.”
He felt really sorry for her and wanted to help but
he agreed with her decision. “Just call me to let me
know how it’s going.” He said before she hurried
herself out of his room.

The key Lucky saw in one of the bags he was checking brou-ght back a vivid memory of what happened the day Linda c@m£ to him. So, she only used him. That’s why she wasn’t picking his calls anymore. But why? What does she nee-d the key for? He thought the key had fallen out of his pocket when he checked for the key and couldn’t find it. He felt disappointed and remembered Adams mentioned to him to find out who she lives with and her closest friend. Linda’s response to his question the day floated back. ‘ I’m only helping a friend.’
Searching for a clue to find who the person she lives with is, he picked up another handbag and flung the contents on the floor, he noticed two Identity cards fell to the ground, he bent down and picked it up, “Sammy Lawson” he murmured and check the face of the owner, he looked closely and remembered he’d seen the face before. After seconds of standing in his sp©t, ” she works for my

Dad!” He nodded at his thoughts and check the second Identity card, as if he didn’t see it well, he blinked and ru-bbe-d his eyes to be sure his eyes were working perfectly.
“Juliana Rios” he whispered out, “this can’t be!” He looked and saw its the same face with Sammy Lawson. Who is Sammy Lawson? He asked himself.
This can’t be, because Juliana, his cousin is dead. Besides, the face he was looking at has no resemblance to his own cousin. There is something
strange going on. He thought, only Linda can give
an answer to his questions. Definitely, this is the
friend she’d been helping. He told himself.

He pocketed the two Identity cards and quic-kly got himself out of Linda’s house. Gently and slowly, for people around not to be suspicious, he carefully went his way without been sp©tted.
