“I can’t let you do this Princess Hana. It’s too risky.” I said walking close to her.
“You don’t know my father the way I do Aaron. This is about the power and country he cherish so much. I can’t or you both can’t just go there and stop him from seeing it.” She stated but I wasn’t still satisfied.
“What if you act like you fell unconscious?” Akira asked and she shook her head.
“That’s not enough reason to bring him out of that meeting room. Instead he would send mother to me. But I know he can never ignore if it comes to life and death, and he sees it himself.” She explained and I still shook my head.
“I won’t do that to you Princess. I can’t.” I muttered.
“I will do it myself, I know this will work. Father won’t ba-re to see me bleeding.” She stated.
“And what if he asks what happened from us?” Akira asked.
“You know nothing about it. You met me in the hallway struggling. I know what I am going to tell him.” She said and I was still not satisfied.
“And what about you! Your life. If you stop the mind reading, what about your own health? What if you don’t survive it?” I asked fearfully.
“I will. I know where to stab.” She said and I held my head not knowing what to say anymore.
“Aaron, I know you care about me. But I care about my brother, and my brother cares about Akira. And if he was in my shoes, he would do more than this for me. So I am doing this Aaron. It will be fine. I promise.” She said and I nodded reluctantly.
Though I kept thinking about a plan B, but nothing was coming. I knew only his Children could distract him from anything about Medan.
And Niran and Hana are the only ones that can do this. Niran won’t even listen, instead complicate issues.
So we are left with only Hana, and her so risky plan.
“So what do we do now? Can’t I take the injury myself?” I asked and she smiled.
“You can’t Aaron. Father won’t even listen to you, instead he would ask the maids to take care of you. You are a…” She said and paused sighing.
“I am a slave and my life doesn’t matter. Got it.” I said nodding and she heaved.
“I am the only one that can do this, and I have thought about this over and over again. We are doing this.” She said walking and we followed behind her.
“So where do you stab yourself and where do we see you?” Akira asked and I nodded.
“I will do it in the chamber with Aaron inside with me. He would be the one to give the alarm and then you run to the meeting hall.” She said to her and my eyes wide-ned.
“Won’t they think I was the one that stabbed you?” I asked.
“Aaron you wanted to save me. I can’t do this on my own and I nee-d you to be there. It’s simple, you were pas-sing and you saw the guards were not at the door, then the door was slightly open. You saw me on the floor In my own blood and cried out.”
“Then Akira heard you and she ran to the King and Queen. That would do the trick.” She explained and I swallowed ha-rd.
“Okay. I am sorry for this Princess Hana.” Akira apologized.
“It’s fine.” She replied smiling.
“Her generosity is unspeakable.” I thought staring at her.
“And thank you. For doing this for us.” She added.
“Like I said, I am doing this for Arjun because if anything happens to you he won’t be able to forgive himself, and he would be miserable. I can’t take that.” She said as soon as we got to her chamber.
We pas-sed by like we were just going on our own, and then we heard her dismiss the guards.
After everywhere was clear, with Akira watching out for us. She called me In and I walked in to see the knife in her hand already.
“Princess Hana.” I called fearfully and she smiled breathing out loud.
“It will be okay Aaron.” She said raising up the knife to her belly and I rushed to her and placed a de-ep ki-ss on her li-ps.
She ki-ssed back, and before I knew it she Gr0-ned into my mouth. She stabbed herself and began to fall to the ground.
“Oh My God!!! Somebody help!!” I yelled not for an act but in reality.
Seeing her that way gave me the greatest shock of my life.
“Princess Hana! Please stay with me! Please.” I said and tears automatically began to roll down my eyes.

“Are you sure this Is what you saw? I nee-d you to think about that dream before I go into your head.” The priest stated and I looked at Father.
“That’s all I saw. Is there any nee-d to read my mind again? After I have told you all what I saw?” I asked and Father spoke up.
“Arjun I know you are saying the truth. And you and I know that your dreams are visions. I nee-d him to know how bad this is, so he can tell me what to do.”
“You shouldn’t have any problem with that, this isn’t the first time you are doing this so why are you acting strange? Are you keeping something?” He asked and my heart skipped.
“Keep something? Why should I?” I asked trying not to stammer.
“So let’s get this done with.” He stated and I nodded swallowing my saliva ha-rdly.
“Give me your hands. You nee-d to concentrate and start thinking about the dream. Remember, don’t try to block it, I would know and it wouldn’t be good for you.” He said and I nodded.
I couldn’t stop thinking of what to do to stop this! If I blocked it, he would know and would tell father.
If I open up, Akira is dead.
“Are you ready?” He asked and I nodded. I could hear my own heart beating very fast. I could feel my sweat for-ce itself out around my forehead.
“I am ready.” I said and then he stretched his hand forth and I gave him him hand. Immediately he tou-ched my hand, my eyes shut automatically and it was like I began to reply the dream In my head.
He began to say some unknown languages, and I noticed I don’t even have any control over my mind at the moment.
“My King!! My Queen!!!” I heard Akira’s voice from afar.
“Get out of here!” Father yelled.
“Princess Hana is dying! She stabbed herself!” She yelled and immediately I got my hands off the Priest In shock.
“What???” Father and I chorused at the same time. We ran out of the room, when we remembered mother was in there too.
She was rushed out of the room after she fell unconscious due to the shocking news.
We got to her chamber and then we saw Aaron standing at the door in tears. His hand covered with blood.
“What did you do!” Father roared rushing to Hana who was laying on the floor stained with her own blood.
“I.. I.. was pas-sing when I looked inside the room and met her like this. I don’t know what happened.” He stammered and my eyes wide-ned.
“Get the doctor! Now!” I yelled. This time the maids and guards were surrounding us already. Though they were at the door and we were inside.
“Hana stay with me.” Father said carrying her in his hands. Her face was pale and I could feel her pulse were fainting.
“Dad we nee-d to stop the bleeding. She is dying.” I said in tears rushing to her wardrobe and picking up one of her clothes.
I ran back to her and folded the cloth,I placed it on her belly and applied pressure on the wound.
Father stood up angrily and looked at Aaron.
“My daughter would never think of killing herself.” He said approaching Aaron, and I knew Aaron would never hurt her.
“Father. He can’t do this to Hana.” I said and he shook his head.
“I don’t trust a slave which his father died in this palace, And you shouldn’t too. He may want to use this as revenge.” He said and Aaron shook my head.
“No My King. I can’t even hurt a fly, I didn’t do this.” He mumbled in tears.
“I will be sure about that when Hana is awake. Take him to the dark room!” He ordered and my mouth dropped open.
“Father.” I called but he ignored me. I looked at Niran to help me but all he did was hold Hana and stare at him.
“And you should know that if anything happens to Hana. You are dead.” He added and the guards grabbed him dragging him out of the room.
“This isn’t fair.” I said and he looked at me angrily.
“Shut up!” He roared and I kept shut swallowing ha-rd.

⭕ AKIRA ⭕
I followed behind them as they took Aaron away, tears filled my eyes knowing none of this was his fault, and I could say nothing to defend him.
He looked at me and cleaned his eyes.
“She would be fine, and then I would be free from here.” He said and I made sure my next statement won’t implicate issues the more.
We got to the so-called dark room and when they opened the bras-s door, I saw absolutely nothing in it. It was totally darkness.
“Can I talk to him for a minute before you lock him in there?” I pleaded.
“You have five minutes.” One of them said and they excuses us.
“You shouldn’t have to go throu-ghthis Aaron.” I said in tears.
“But I have to. It’s fine Akira, Hana would survive this, and then I would be out of here.” He said confidently, but inwardly I could feel his fears.
“What if it takes days, months?” I asked and he reached for my hand and took it in his.
“It won’t. I pray it doesn’t, all I nee-d you to do for me now is call Mother. I nee-d to talk to her.” He said and I nodded wiping the tears on my face off with my thumb.
“I will bring her very soon.” I said and began to run down the path we took. I got to the hallway and kept running. I didn’t stop until I got to Nikita’s room.
I knocked on the door and no one answered from inside. Then I heard footsteps approach me.
“Akira what’s wrong? You look worried.” She stated and I nodded.
“You nee-d to see Aaron now.” I said in haste and her eyes heated up immediately.
“What’s wrong with my son?” She asked in a shaky voice.
“Weren’t you In the palace?” I asked and she shook her head.
“I went to get some herbs for Queen Amber. What Happened?” She asked but I couldn’t bring myself to say anything to her, so I kept mute.
“Talk to me Akira! Why are we going down this path?” She asked as we ran down the path leading to the dark room.
“Aaron was implicated, and he was asked to be locked inside the dark room until Princess Hana wakes up.” I said as we got to the room.
“What? What kind of implications?” She asked fearfully.
“The king thinks he stabbed the Princess.” I said and her eyes wide-ned.
“What? Why would they even think that? My son is not a murderer.” She yelled in tears.
“Mom, please calm down. You don’t want to worsen the situation.” Aaron said walking out of the dark room.
She held her mouth In tears as she saw Aaron…
“Why are they doing this to you? Were you with her?” She asked and he nodded bowing his head.
“I rescued her and the king made sure he saw someone to put the blame on. But trust me, I will be fine. I promise.” He said but we couldn’t stop the tears from flowing down.
“We are going to get you out of here. I promise you my son.” She mumbled and he nodded walking into the room and the guards shut the door.
“I told him to stay away from her, from the royals in general.” She said and she hu-gged me weeping on my shoulders.
“We nee-d to leave here.” I said and she nodded walking out of the room.
On our way back to Nikita’s room, we saw Prince Arjun approach us.
He had this confused look mixed with pity in his face. His clothes were stained with blood.
“My son is innocent.” Nikita said to him and he sighed holding her hand.
“I know Aaron would never do this, but I nee-d to talk to Akira. She was the one that came to call our attention about my sister, she should have something I can use that would help Aaron out.” He said and I smiled.
I was so much in love with his generosity.
“Can I be there when you talk?” She asked and he shook his head.
“It’s best you rest now. You nee-d to calm down, I promise to be the first to tell you what happens next.” He stated and she looked at me.
“Ma’am Nikita please go. Everything would be fine, I promise.” I said and she nodded reluctantly opening the door and walking into the room.
“Follow me.” He said and I turned to follow him. My head was bowed and I didn’t know what to say or do when he asks me questions about his sister.
Will I tell him she stabbed herself to save me? Or tell him what we told the others, that she stabbed herself.
I can’t tell him that, he knows his sister more than anyone. In as much as I wish she told him herself, I nee-d to tell him the truth. We are in this together.
We stopped in front of his chamber and he walked in.
“Prince Arjun? I can’t…” I stated and he looked at me.
“Everyone is busy with mother and sister, you can come in. It’s safe.” He muttered and I walked in slowly.
I shut the door so that we won’t make the mistake of getting seen by anyone. Not even now King Maeko is as furious as ever.
“What happened Akira?” He asked and began to get rid of his robe. I shut my eyes quickly and bowed my head to avoid looking at him.
“I don’t know how to tell you this. But she did that to herself.” I said and he heaved.
“You can’t lie to me too Akira. My sister would never stab herself, just like that.” He said in anger and I knew he was hurting.
“She did it for me.” I said and he became silent.
“What?” He asked in a very low tone.
“She knew if you did the mind reading,I would be dead , and she said you won’t be able to forgive yourself. So to save you from yourself, she had to disrupt the meeting.” I explained and I looked up to see his clothes were on him now.
Clean ones, and I see he was sitting on the bed staring into space.
“So the only way she could think of Is to put her life in danger.” He said and I walked towards him after thinking twice.
“I tried to stop her, Aaron tried to stop her but she was adamant. She said if you were in her shoes,you would do the same thing.” I said and he looked at him.
His eyes were filled with tears and I felt my throat hurt.
“She did that for my happiness.” He mumbled in tears and I knelt before him pulling him into my arms.
“I am sorry Arjun.” I said in tears as we both wept.
