EPISODE 19
Dianne’s POV
I listened to Jessie as she explained all that had happened in the past three hours, the doctor had come to check on me, and I was re-ady to be discharged. I can’t believe I had been drugged and nearly R@p£d by Jack, thank God Ray showed up, according to Jessie, Ray had been so angry he had nearly fired all the guards and Jeff, if not for hers and mom’s intervention. I feel so angry and scared at the same time, this was getting more dangerous, and if Ray hadn’t showed up I don’t think I’d be able to live with myself. “Do you know where Ray is now” I asked Jessie and she shook her head no
“he left immediately I arrived, without saying a word, and I felt too scared to ask, I didn’t want to face the wrath of his anger, you know that only his mom and you can handle him when he’s like that, I might not be a model but I still don’t want anything to ruin my beautiful face” she said and I sighed sadly
“do you think he’s angry at me, or maybe he feels disgusted by me, you know since Jack t©uçhed me and all that” I asked worried and scared
“Dianne there’s no nee-d to be scared” Jessie said holding my cheeks in both hands in a comforting way “the Ray I know would always love you no matter what, he can never be disgusted by you and no clas-sroom or tool box would change that” she said ma-king me smile a bit, she always referred to jack as a tool box, saying his name was the same with one of the tools mechanic used, how she knew or c@m£ up with that, I don’t know. “But he’ll be angry” she continued suddenly “a little bit but still angry, half of it is your fault you know, if you had taken your guards with you, none of this would have happened” she said strictly.
“I know, but I just feel claustrophobic around them, I hope he forgive me soon” I said remorsefully and rested my heads on her shoulder “ well you can find out yourself” she whispered in my ears, I raised up my face and my eyes met with Raymond, who was just entering, he looked angry but that emotion quic-kly cleared for that of worry”
“what are you doing awake you should be resting?” he said walking towards me, he pushed me back on the be-d, gently, avoiding eye contact with me. He is clearly still angry.
“well I’m going to leave you two lovebirds alone and go call mine, rest well bestie” she said and hvgged me “you better calm your b©yfri£nddown” she whispered in my ears and left
“coward” I thought, but I wouldn’t blame her, no one ever wanted to be around Raymond when he exploded. “Ray…” I tried to say something but he shushed me
“don’t talk, I can’t with you right now, I leave for four days and you get kidnapped, maybe I should just take betty’s advice and put you in my bag” he said and I smiled, his anger was dying down. He glared at me and I straightened my face. “there’s a reason why they are called guards, Dianne”
“ I know you said I should never go anywhere without guards, all this wouldn’t have happened if I had just listened to you, I’m sorry”. I apologized and he sighed
“I can’t blame you, you have never really liked guards, and there’s no way you could have known that this would happen. so to prevent something like this from happening again, I got you this” he said and brou-ght out a n£¢klace, “it’s a tracker, it’s connected to my phones and the security company, once you are not where you are supposed to be or I have no idea about where you are, I’m alerting them and coming after you”
“Ray I …” I tried to say something but he shushed me
“don’t complain Dianne, I’m not going to take chances” he said placing his hands onl-ips, I gently re-moved it. “I was not going to complain, I wanted to say I like this better, no more feeling like I’m being arrested” I said and he smiled “don’t ever scare me like that again Baby” he said and k!$$£d me. I was about to protest about being called a baby when Jessie barged in.
“sorry for interrupting but I just Danny just told me that he found out where Derek was, and the most surprising thing is that it was the same person who had tried to kill you, the one who we thought was dead” she said. I ru-bbe-d my hands against my head, I was alre-ady getting tired of this game, I just wanted to have justice for my parent’s death and move on.
“are you okay” Ray and Jessie asked simultaneously probably worried with the way I was ru-bbing my head.
“I am okay, I just hope he gets him, I want all this to end”
“Don’t worry he will, in the mean time, we have to find a way to get the original do¢v-ments out of the mansion, we’ll have to hire someone to get it” Ray said
“you can’t hire someone, that’s too risky, I think it’s best you guys go yourselves, you have a better chance, since Dianne is Morgana’s best investor, and you are a global celebrity and her b©yfri£nd, you guys can take some guards with you to be on the safer side and you won’t be challenged” Jessie said
“she’s right, we have a better alibi and if we s£nd someone, he won’t be able to figure out where exactly I had hidden it, and what if he’s caught, we have to do it ourselves”
“easy for you to say, you’re not the one that have to dig it up, what were you thinking when you buried the do¢v-ments your father entrusted to you”
“I was thinking ‘the king has given me a special treasure, I should bury it so pirates can’t find it, I should bury it so well so the evil princess wouldn’t see it’ damn I was so stupid then”
“don’t be too ha-rd on yourself, I think your b©yfri£ndis more concerned about his well manicured f!ngersand the work, than about you burying it, lazy boy, don’t worry, you can get one of the guards to dig it out” Jessie said teasing Ray, and I held back laughter.
“forget that, we nee-d to find a way to get Morgana out of the house, I think we should s£nd the fake attorney to the company’s lawyer, they’ll call her attention and she’ll have to leave the mansion, that will be our chance” Ray said
“nice plan, tomorrow?” Jessie asked
“The sooner the better, so yes tomorrow” Ray said and I agreed.
Danny’s POV
We got to the address on the do¢v-ment, it was a c0nd0minium. we took the elevator to his condo but it was locked. “ I don’t think he’s inside” my p@rtner said
“good for us” I said and began working on unlocking the door with a master key. It finally opened and we got in, there was nothing there ap@rt from empty beer bottles and cigars “search here, I’ll search the room” I told my p@rtner and walked into the adjourning room. I saw a small notebook on the be-dside table it was un-der ash tray, he must have forgotten it, because ap@rt from this book there was no single piece of do¢v-ment in the room.
“half smoked cigars and empty beer bottle, a typical criminal’s room, but there nothing useful to us here, no piece of information that can be added as evidence or at least tell us where he had gone to” my p@rtner said walking into the room. I opened the notebook. “Dianne, Jack, Jessie and Ray” their names were written in the back of the book. “why are their names written here, is Morgana and Derek onto us” I thought and picked out my phone to call them, but Dianne’s and Jessie’s phone’s where switched off while Ray’s wasn’t going throu-gh.
“we have to go” I told my p@rtner and rushed out of the room
“but I thought you said you were going to wait out for him why are you in a hurry, what’s going on?” he bombarded me with questions as we hurried down. “ I just hope we’re not too late” I thought as I drove off.
Jessie’s POV
I finished my exam, my final exam and walked to the locker to get my phone, I had switched it off since yester night, after Dianne was discharged from the hospital. I tried switching it on now but the battery was dead.
“damn, and I wanted to call Danny to tell him I was finally done with my exams, guess I’ll have to call him later” I thought and headed for the parking lot, I have to drop something off at my ap@rtment, then I’ll head to Dianne’s place, they must be heading to the mansion now to retrieve the do¢v-ments, I’ll just have to wait for her there.
I got to my ap@rtment and was surprised to find my door unlocked, I was pretty sure I locked it this morning before leaving or maybe I didn’t, I was in a hurry after all, I walked into the ap@rtment and dropped want I wanted to drop, I was about leaving when suddenly some crept behind and closed my mouth at the same time holding a gun to my head
“any sudden movement and I shoot, got it?” the man asked and I nodded scared..
Hi guys, I’m back and everything is now settled, no more interruption, the story is going to end this week, so don’t quit re-ading, as they say na the bo-ttompot na in dey sweet p@rt, so stay tuned till the end, and I know it is short, don’t worry I’ll post the next episode tomorrow morning, just like and comment, oh and also pray for Jessie, this one that Derek is there

Morgana’s POV
I sat in my study smoking and thinking, I was right when I said her eyes were familiar, I had gone throu-gh some of the family pictures that I had not thrown away, Dianne Knight and her daughter had the same eyes, the same intensity.
“ Is it possible that Dianne is still alive” I thought and then laughed “I’m just being ridiculous, Dianne can’t be alive since then, if she was, she would have come back to Desmond and their daughter long ago and Dianne knights is almost the same age with me, this Dianne is Clarissa’s age mate” I reas-sured myself..
Derek had left his place immediately, I gave him the list, now I was a bit as-sured that everything will be alright, he’ll sort it out he always did. I brou-ght out my phone to call Clarissa, to warn her to be careful, we can’t take any risk now. It’s better to be on the safe side, I called her but she wasn’t picking, “damn, what’s wrong with this daughter of mine, never picks when you want to talk to her” I thought and tried her line again
“madam, you have a call from the office” one of the maids said walking into my study.
“st©p there, how many times have I warned you about coming into my study” I asked her
“sorry madam, but the caller said it was urgent” she said
“shut up, there’s no excuse for disobeying my orders, give me the phone” I said and she handed it to me “ leave this house, you’re fired” I said and she fell on her knees begging “ you better just leave because if a tear of yours drops on my expensive rug, you going to pay for it” I said and she immediately stood and ran off, she knew I meant every word “filthy thing, I should even add her to the suspect list” I thought and picked up the phone
“hello”
“I’m really sorry for calling you now ma’am, but there’s an urgent meeting going on here ma’am, and you seriously nee-d to attend, the investors are threatening to withdraw their investment, and the lawyers are enraged” my as-sistant said.
“what!, control that meeting I’m on my way” I said and dropped the call “what the hell would cause such a scandal, that the investors and lawyers would be having a meeting without me” I thought as I walked to my car “take me to my company” I told the driver and he drove off.
I got to the company, and it was even bigger than I had imagined, the press was here, on sp©tting my car they all rushed towards me “ma’am”, “Ma’am”, “is it true that you stole this company”, “ how true is the statement that you took control of this company using a fake attorney”, “ma’am plea-se answer our question, should we take your silence as a yes” they all bombarded me with questions when I made the mistake of stepping a foot outside. I quic-kly stepped back in
“take me to the back entrance” I told the driver and he changed route, I watched throu-gh the rear mirror as the reporters chased after my car “what the hell is this, how did they know, how did this get out” I yelled frustrated, not minding the driver who was staring at me as if I had lost it.
We got to the company and I was met by my as-sistant, I got some pointing stares from the employees but I wasn’t concerned about that, I had a business and reputation to protect, I would take care of them all later. “brief me” I told her as we walked to the meeting hall
“well, they all c@m£ this morning calling you a fraud and demanding their money back, even the lawyers were angry, when the press appeared everything went haywire, so far we’ve lost 37% of our investors, 40% are threatening to withdraw theirs also, only 23% are willing to stay, I don’t know till how long” she finished just as we got to the meeting hall.
“don’t worry I’ll handle it” I told her and took a de-ep breath before entering, the conference hall that was really noisy before bec@m£ so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
“glad that you were able to make it, now can you plea-se, curb this stupid rumor that’s spre-ading” one of our loyal investors said
“you mean she should make up a lie that would satisfy you, and profit her, no thanks, I’m withdrawing my investment, and that’s final” another said and the chaos began again.
“will you all be attentive” I yelled and they all kept quiet “I can’t believe that many of you here are so fickle and unstable, you’re all business men for god’s sake, pardon me but this behavior is ma-king me wonder how you all bec@m£ successful, I can’t believe that this foundation that have been built for many years could be easily shaken” I said
“you mean a foundation built on lies” one of them said, I looked at him, he was Dianne’s as-sistant, Dianne might have done this, maybe she had seen the attorney, I can’t lose this.
“Mr…?” I said trying to remember his name
“Jeff” he said
“well Mr. Jeff , it seems like I have overstated the importance of your boss in this company, you don’t have any right to come to my company and insult me, you all c@m£ here today with the belief that I was a fraud, but none of you have any tangible proof except for the power of attorney given to me by my late husband which was tagged fake, if you all so believe that it’s a fake I dare you to pres£nt the original” I said and watched them all closely, especially that Jeff, scared that he might just pres£nt the original, I mean anything can happen, after seeing that none of them made a move and some were looking guilty, I regained my confidence.
“well since many of you are so eager to withdraw your investment, you can do just that, but heed my warning, none of you would be allowed to come back, no matter how much you beg, we would never accept, pardon me” I said and left the meeting.
“ma’am, why did you do that, you just gave them the go ahead to leave” my as-sistant said walking out with me
“one of the best way of keeping someone is to let them believe you can do without them, don’t worry none of them will leave, keep me informed, I have to leave” I told her and went back to my car, the press , where still there but they didn’t notice when I left. I have to take care of Dianne now, I no longer care about what I’ll gain from her she’s a threat and she has to go. I quic-kly called Derek “where are you” I asked immediately he picked
“I’m at the first girls house, I’m actually staring at her right now, do you want it suicide, or robbery attack” he asked
“I don’t care, just deal with her and then move to Dianne, she has become a threat, I want her gone” I told him.
“robbery it is then, don’t worry cu-pcake everything will be okay, bye sweetie” he said and ended the call. I shouldn’t worry, everything will be okay, everything will be okay . I drove back home, the security guard wanted to tell me something but I ignored him and went to my study to think.
“mom, I saw your missed calls, what’s going on?, the press c@m£ to my house today, I also nee-d your advice, the plan didn’t work, Ray c@m£ and saved her again” Clarissa complained as she walked into my study, I didn’t even hear her car drive in, I must have really been lost in thought.
“listen Clarissa, don’t bother me now, I have my own problem to worry about” I told her as she made herself comfortable.
“what’s bothering you? Is that why you didn’t pick my calls when I called back” she asked taking my cigar and smoking from it.
“well, someone knows what happened to Diamond and her parents and they are threatening me with it and also…” she didn’t let me finish she began stuttering, her fear clearly evident in her eyes
“wh…what! Are you joking, how would they find out?, we’re the only ones that know about it, right?, so how? , who?” she stuttered as she talked she looked as shocked and scared as I had been. “mom plea-se tell me you’re joking, no one must know that I killed Diamond, I can’t go to jail” she said almost in tears.
“nob©dy is going to jail okay, your Dad is alre-ady on the case, getting rid of every suspect, so I nee-d you to think ha-rd , whom do you will have an idea about this, and would want to bring us down” I asked her.
“I don’t know of anyone mom, jack only knows of Diamond and he dares not talk about it, ap@rt from him I know of no one, the only people that might have an idea and want justice are alre-ady dead, you know that” she said angering me the more
“yes they are dead, but there’s still someone there that still knows of everything, not just Diamond’s but the whole issue even about the fake power of attorney and if we don’t do something about it fast, we are going to lose everything fast, so think Clarissa, think” I yelled at her, shaking her whole b©dy with my hands.
“okay okay” she yelled back freeing herself from me, I watched as she walked around in de-ep thought, she st©pped at the pile of pictures I had looked at earlier, she picked one up, the one with Dianne and Diamond, I watched her stare at it thoughtfully, “ is she having the same thought, I had, did I do the right thing asking Derek to take care of Dianne, have I just lost billions based on a mere suspicion ” I thought as I watched her.
“mom, this eyes” she said pointing at the picture, and went back in thought. Could it be possible” she said and hit her head with her palm
“what are you thinking” I asked her anxiously
“the way she always attacked and challenged me, that one time when she insinuated that I could no longer bully her, and yesterday when Raymond had said that I wouldn’t be able to kill her again, he said I’m half of the problem, now it’s all ma-king s-en-se” she muttered
“what are you talking about Clarissa, what’s ma-king s-en-se” I asked
“mom, I think Dianne De Ville is Diamond knights” she said and I looked at her shocked…
