PAINS OF A LONELY HEART
Episode 16

Few of the church members rushed to help her. Daniel quic-kly left the organ and went to her aid, only to find that Juliet was seriously bleeding with blood flowing from her th!ghs to the legs. She was quic-kly rushed to the nearest hospital which happened to be Jax’s working place.
She was lead into the emergency room leaving James, Ben, Mrs. Johnson and Daniel at the OPD. Jax at that moment was no where to be found, as to whether she c@m£ with them to the hospital, no b©dy knew. The last time the church members actually set their eyes on her was before the incident at Church.
Now, Ben had gotten the opportunity he always wanted to meet Daniel. There he is, face to face with Daniel. He went straight to him and said.
” I want us to talk, now ” Ben said.
“I see, and you think this is the appropriate time for it? Daniel asked. “Well, we can make it appropriate.” Ben said. “Alright, fair enough” said Daniel. “Good, at the car park, in the next 5 minutes.” Ben said and left him. He went Straight to the car park and patiently waited for Daniel to come.
In no time Daniel showed up at the car park where Ben was waiting. “I see you are really good at your time” Ben said. “What is it? just go on with what you called me here for ” said Daniel.
“Anyway, what do you want from Juliet? Tell me? When did she even meet you that you claim you are the father of her unborn child? ” Ben furiously asked him. ” I can tell you are really worried about that. Daniel said. “Yes, because you are a liar and a crook. That unborn baby belongs to me and no other person” Ben said. “So meaning you R@p£d her, I should call the police on you now ” Daniel threatened.
Ben didn’t realize that he will go to that extent. He didn’t even think of the fact that he admitting the responsibility of her pregnancy is enough evidence to put him behind bars for r@p£ charges. He got a bit scared, he knew as soon Juliet reports the issue, that will be his end. His actions bec@m£ obvious to the notice of Daniel. “I see you are scared Ben, how could you do such a thing? Daniel asked. “I am not proud of what I did, I was misled” Ben said. “Misled? How? By who? Daniel asked. “Its a long story, Daniel.” Ben said. “We have time, don’t we? Said Daniel.
” I’m in love with Juliet. I thought its not morally right to be in love with someone who is supposed to be your adopted sister. My brother James knew about it. He told me that, He had spoken to Juliet about my feelings even to the extent of he claiming Juliet loved me as well. I was made to know that Juliet wanted to see me that night. He gave me a handkerchief, which he claimed it was from Juliet to me. Since it was going to be the first time, I wanted to pu-ll a prank on her by wearing a face mask just to scare her a little before revea-ling myself.
Indeed, I succeeded in getting her scared, she began shouting so I placed the handkerchief on herl-ips to keep her quiet. Then I took the mask off, only to noticed that she was motionless but was breathing. At that moment, I also thought she was pu-lling a prank on me because my mask was off. I tried k!ss!ngher, she didn’t respond, but my lvst couldn’t control me. I had int£rç0rs£with her without noticing that there was something wrong with her.
It was until I saw her bleeding that I realized she was actually unconscious. I got scared and out of my guilty conscience I had to escape. I told my brother about it only for him to completely ignore me, I was actually ra-ping her without even noticing.” Ben revealed all that had actually happened. Daniel was in complete silence for a while and said “Ben you acted Childishly” Daniel said.
Back at the OPD, the doctors was done attending to Juliet. James by then was taking a stroll leaving Mrs. Johnson alone at the OPD. The doctor met her, and since she was the foster mother of Juliet she deemed it necessary to let her know of her condition.
“Doctor, how is my daughter?” She asked. “She is fine, but unfortunately she had a miscarriage” The Doctor said.
“Oh no, Doctor, can I see her? Mrs. Johnson asked. “Yeah, you can, she is asleep and I will advise that you don’t wake her up” The Doctor said and left. Mrs. Johnson quic-kly called Jax and upd@t£d her. In no time she showed up and together with Mrs. Johnson went to the ward were Juliet was.
Daniel and Ben were still at the car park having their conversation. Ben was feeling sorry and guilty for his actions. He really wanted to make amends for it. “Ben, there is something you nee-d to know” Daniel said. “what is it Daniel? Tell me” Ben asked.
“You and Juliet can never ever be together. The harm has alre-ady been caused, and its unfortunate you can’t be with her” Daniel said. “Yeah, I un-derstand, I know you have feelings for her that’s why she is with you now” Ben said. “Am in love with Juliet, just as I love everyone. She is a child of God and so is everyone but you can’t be with her” Daniel said.
” Why can’t I be with her? there should be some way out” Ben said. His feelings was taking control over him, he was really indeed in love with Juliet. ” Is not what you think, Ben, Juliet is not your foster sister she is actually your step sister” Daniel revealed.
Episode 17

“Is not what you think, Ben, Juliet is not your foster sister as you think. She is actually your step sister” Daniel revealed.
Ben was shocked by the news from Daniel.
“You can’t be serious Daniel, what are you saying? Ben asked.
“You heard me, a lady was betrothed to your father before she actually met your mother. Your father impregnated that lady but she disappeared when she heard your father was going to get married to your mother”, Daniel said.
“…but how sure are you that child is the same girl I’m in love with. It can’t be Juliet ” Ben asked.
” Your father was secretly seeing her until she gave birth to Juliet. She died during delivery but because your father couldn’t bring the baby to his home, he personally took the baby to the orphanage home and entrusted her into their care with the hope of later adopting her.”
“Oh no! This is unbelievable! What have I done to myself? So Juliet is actually my sister” Ben said.
“Yeah she is. As a matter of fact, she is your elder sister” Daniel confirmed.
“Does she know about this? Ben asked.
“No Ben, and that’s going to be our little secret until probably you make amends of your mistakes and ask God for forgiveness” Daniel said.
Ben couldn’t believe his ears. Juliet was actually his sister. The girl she had R@p£d and impregnated.
” What an abomination! Will God even forgive me of my sins?” Ben asked.
“Ben, only if you openly admit it and ask for forgiveness, He is a merciful God so He will forgive you” Daniel said.
“But how do you know all these things? You are a stranger, how do you know?” Ben asked.
” You ask so many questions. Lets get back to the OPD. At the right time, you will know” Daniel said and headed straight to the OPD.
Ben followed him closely as they went.
Mrs. Johnson and Jax were watching Juliet as she sle-pt at her ward, when Ben and Daniel got there.
Juliet while asleep, had a weird dream.
In her dream, she was walking down the isle with Daniel to the alter to get married. Unfortunately, no one was at the church, not even a pastor to preside over the wedding.
Before Daniel could say his vows, an elderly woman whom Juliet could not recognize c@m£ with a broom and swept around where Juliet and Daniel stood.
Juliet tried st©pping her but she was pushed down by the lady.
Juliet fell heavily on one side and she couldn’t move her left arm and feet.
This woke Juliet up from the sleep. There she saw Daniel, Ben, Mrs. Johnson and Jax.
Daniel rushed to her side, held her by the hand and asked how she was feeling.
She tried to sit but she couldn’t.
Daniel realized that something was wrong.
“What is it Juliet? Daniel asked.
“My legs, I can’t feel them, I can’t feel my legs, Daniel” Juliet cried out.
Jax quic-kly rushed and called the doctor to Juliet’s aid. They were all asked to wait outside the ward while the Doctor went about his work.
Mrs. Johnson acted awkwardly. she was putting the blame on Daniel for Juliet’s misfortune.
“You are the cause of this, Daniel or whatever you call yourself. What have you done to my child? You should have listened to me. If you had married her, all this wouldn’t have happened. God is punishing both of you for that”, Mrs. Johnson said.
“Mum, you can’t be saying such things in times of this” Ben said.
Before Ben could finish talking, three men c@m£ towards them.
They were unknown people.
“Are you Mrs. Johnson? One of them asked.
“Yes, how may I help you? Mrs. Johnson asked.
“We are after your son, Ben”, he said.
“I’m the one, who are you? Ben asked.
“I’m Inspector Sam from the regional police headquarters. You are un-der arrest for allegedly as-saulting and ra-ping Juliet” said Inspector Sam.
Ben was immediately handcuffed and led away by the policemen.
Mrs. Johnson pleaded but they ignored her completely…

Episode 18

Mrs. Johnson pleaded but they ignored her completely and took Ben away.
Mrs. Johnson got furious again. She made claims that Juliet was framing up against her son Ben.
She didn’t care the fact that Daniel was there, she kept on accusing her.
Daniel had enough of what Mrs. Johnson was doing. She was exaggerating too much.
Daniel then decided to put her on her toes since he now stood face to face with her and Jax.
“Mrs. Johnson, you always amaze me when you talk like that, perhaps since Jax is here, I guess this is the time for you to explain the Church’s money you have been paying into her account” Daniel said.
Their faces changed right away but they were saved by the bell.
The doctor c@m£ and interrupted their conversation.
“Mrs. Johnson” The Doctor called.
“Yes Doctor, how is she? She asked.
“unfortunately it was quite unpredictable, we didn’t see it coming, but we will do the best that we can” The Doctor said.
” Doctor, I don’t un-derstand you, what are you really saying” Daniel interrupted and asked.
“Somehow, Juliet’s have a spinal cord problem which has affected her movement. We are still monitoring her situation, to see what we can do” The Doctor said.
“Doctor, can I see her now, plea-se? Daniel asked.
“Am afraid no, but you can come around tomorrow morning, am sure it will have been better by then” The Doctor said and left them.
Daniel was so hurt upon hearing Juliet’s condition. Mrs. Johnson and Jax appeared to be concerned but Daniel made it obvious that he does not trust them.
“Are you happy now, you two did a very good job, but always remember that there is no place for darkness where light prevails” Daniel said and walked out on them.
Mrs. Johnson and Jax began to fear him, they planned on digging into his personal stuff, background and where he really comes from.
“Jax, I think you should follow him and get to know where he resides, he is on foot so you can catch up with him, hurry and follow him, I will meet you up at my house. ” Mrs. Johnson instructed Jax.
Jax did as she had said but to her surprise, Daniel was no where to be found. She asked some of her nurse colleagues but they said they haven’t seen him pas-s by.
That was strange, because Daniel just left their pres£nce less than 3 minutes ago, how is it possible that there was no trace of him.
Both Mrs. Johnson and Jax left to their separate houses.
Mrs. Johnson called James to work out on the case of Ben with their personal lawyer.
Daniel on the other hand went to the station that evening to check on Ben. It was past visiting hours but somehow the authorities gave him the chance to see him.
From the look on Ben’s face you could tell that he had been crying thor0ûghly.
As soon as Ben saw Daniel, he was surprised to see him come alone. If anything at all, it should have been his mother. However he was just concerned about how Juliet was faring.
That was the first question he asked.
“Daniel, thanks for coming, how is Juliet doing? Ben asked.
“She is going to be fine, her situation is quite complicated, but trust my words, she is going to be fine, we just have to keep praying ha-rd ” Daniel advised and as-sured him.
“Hmm, its all my fault, its all my fault. I don’t think I’m worthy to come before the Lord, even to ask for forgiveness” Ben said.
“Ben, I know you have regretted your mistakes, just pray to God and ask for forgiveness. I think you should rather worry about the one who reported the case to the police” said Daniel.
” I really don’t know, I don’t know the people who James may have told this to, I don’t trust him so much when it comes to keeping secrets” Ben said.
” what if he was the one? ” asked Daniel
” Oh, that won’t be possible, I can bet my life on it. My brother can never do such a thing” Ben said.
“You think so? Be very careful, anyway, I will do my best to get you out of here in no time, all you nee-d to do is to pray, and I’m certain everything will be OK” Daniel as-sured him and left the station.
Ben was however strengthened by the words of Daniel. He spent that praying and asking God for forgiveness.
Early next Morning, a young lady arrived at the hospital before visiting hours.
She was made to see Juliet since she was bringing her breakfast.
Juliet was awake when she c@m£. She had never set her eyes on the lady before.
“Good morning Juliet, my name is Paulina, your mum asked me to bring you your breakfast” she said.
“How do you know my mum? Juliet asked.
“Am in the same church with you, you really don’t know me but I’m a very good friend to Ben and James” she said. Itinerary
Juliet was very easy to convince. The lady left the food there and went.
Juliet took the basket containing the food, opened it and began eating, forgetting to even pray.
Before she could think of finishing the whole meal, her tummy began grumbling. She was in severe pain. She shouted for help that got the attention of the nurses. Before they knew it, a white foamy substance was coming out of her mouth. Its seems Juliet has been poisoned.
