I can’t believe two childhood friends would start having issues all because of me.
Yea yea, am charming am irresistible bla bla bla, but so what?
Wait, what am i saying ? I throw myself on the be-d.
I breathe out loudly, go in the bathroom and freshen up.
I jus nee-d fresh air, away from gals, that is.
Since i got no car, i just walked down the street.
“This is how you choose to live your life?’,a female asked, as the car window was whined down.
Ugh! Hale jun.
‘Yes and so mind your business!’,i replied and started walking.
She drove slowly, as to my pace.
“Why?”,she asked.
I ignored her and kept moving.
“Mason can we talk?”,she asked.
“No”,i replied.
“St©p acting childish and hop in let’s gr-ab some coffee and chat”,she replied.
Well…i do nee-d coffee and am broke.
I get into the car and she zooms off.
She gets to a restaurant and parks. We both alight and walk into the restaurant.
She picks a table.
‘I would like some coffee and a sandwich pls’,she placed her order.
She beckoned me place my order.
“Latte and sandwich thank you”,i said.
In no time, the waiter c@m£ back with the order.
I sipped my Latte…..
‘Am i ugly?’,hale asked all of a sudden.
‘Uh….well……
‘Oh i must be’,she said sadly.
‘No, you’re not. Everyone finds you beautiful s£nd charming, you’re a famous actress, who wouldn’t find you attrac-tive?’,i asked.
‘You!’,she replied, staring at me.
‘Huh?’.
‘You don’t seem to find me attrac-tive’,she replied.
“No i do find you attrac-tive, it’s….
‘Then let’s get married’,she said, interrupting me.
‘That’s not how marriage works’,i replied.
‘Then how does it work?’,she asked desperately.
‘Well, am not….in love with you’,i replied.
‘Then fall in love with me’,she replied.
‘What? That not how love woks. Love just comes, you dont expect it’,i replied.
‘Never thought i would fall in love with Bella’,i thought..

‘Look hale, you’re a famous actress.
There are many guys out there dying to be with you, am just not one of them’, i said, stood up and carried the sandwich.
‘It seems you ain’t gonna eat yours ‘,i said, and took hers too.
I left, leaving her in shock and confusion.
I sat there feeling bad and devastated.
I love him so much.
I loved him since the first day i set my eyes on him.
I met him three years ago, i really do not want to f0rç£ myself on him.

Everyone in the restaurant turned to look at me. They began taking pictures, I used my purse to cover my face as i f0rç£d my way out.
I bu-mped into someone……i looked up as the person pu-ll-ed me by the arm and entered a nearby garden.
‘What’s that for?’,i half yelled and looked at the person’s face clearly.
‘You’re from…….uh
‘Lemme save you the trouble, am Lucas from daily tunes who will be starring as DAVE in that movie ‘lost love’.
‘Yea…hi’.
‘So why did you pu-ll me like that?’,i asked calmly.
‘Well…….fans’.
‘Oh’,i replied and he smiled at me.
I called my one and only male besfriend and p@rtner in crime, Jordan.
‘Hi sugar, it’s quite a surprise you called out of the blue’,he said.
‘Can’t i call me baby and see how he’s failing?’,I tea-sed.
‘Awwwn, what do you want?’,he asked.
‘Wow, lets meet and yunno…..’,i said.
‘Our usual sp©t right?’,he asked.
‘Yeah’, i replied
‘See you in fifteen minutes’,he said and hung up.
Bella…..you don’t know what’s coming.
I left the house and went to meet him.
I got there and sat down.
He’s not the type who keeps someone waiting, especially not me.
Just as i was about to turn someone held me from behind.
“Where you here for so long”,he asked .
“Nope ,i just got here”.
Cool, am in a hurry so now what’s the plan”,he asked.
I whispered something in his ear

I got out of the house for fresh .
Hmmm it seems am the only one at home.
I picked a car key and doomed out of the house . On the way, i noticed a truck following me behind.
In order to be sure i drove into another area , and the truck still followed me.
I was frightened , i drove as fast as i could .
The truck kept following me.
Ooppps !!! this is the end of the road .
I turned my car in order to escape , but the truck driver drove with full speed and boom!!!
i was about heading home when i got a call from Bella .
What could be up i picked the call .”yeah, Bella what’s up”, i asked
“This is not Bella, you must be her husband. your the last person she called. Bella just got into a serious accident.she has been rushed to the hospital it’s really critical”, the person said.
“Oh my gosh, which hospital?”,i asked.
“City hospital, pls come immediately”,the person said and cut the call.
I rushed and boarded a cab.
Geez! How did this even happen?
“Have you done the job?”,she asked.
“Yes ma’am”,i replied.
“Good! You will be rewarded. Bella will definitely suffer”,she replied and let out a wicked laugh.
I ended the call.

I stood besides the ward, and watched as they operated on Bella, i couldn’t bear it anymore.
I stepped back and sat down..
My hands were trembling as i dialed Julie and zara’s number at the same time.
“Bella….got into …an accident”,i stammered.
“What??’,they both shouted.
“How….which hospital was she admitted?”,Julie asked.
“City hospital”,i replied.
“Ok, i’ll be right there”,zara said.
I cut the call and comforted myself.
‘Bella…….you’ll be fine”,i as-sured myself.
A lady walked up to me and sat close.
‘I heard….Bella got into an accident’,she said and i turned at her, surprised.
‘How did you know that? And who are you?’,i asked.
‘Oh uh…..am Kate, Bella’s colleague, and you know how news spre-ad so fast…..’,she replied.
I just stared at her for a while, then rested my head on my arms.
A hand, t©uçhed me.
I turned…….Kate?
I gently pushed her hands off.
‘Am fine’,i said.
‘I know you’re just saying that. Well, uh……i know something’,she said.
‘What could that be?’,i asked, less interested.
‘Well…..uh Bella told me uh…..about a threat she uh….well am not sure, it can’t be’,she replied hastily.
‘Threat? Tell me what you know’, i turned to her.
‘Uh…i don’t wanna spre-ad a false news but Bella told me about the threat she received from Julie’,she replied.

‘So are you trying to say that Julie……..
‘Where is Bella?’,Julie asked, rushing towards me.
‘I’ll get going now’,Kate said in form of a whisper, stood up and left.
‘Huh answer me, and who is she? What did she say?’,she asked, looking at me

“What? She might be in there right?’,she asked, and ran that way, but i pu-ll-ed her back.

“How could you stoop so low as to doing this to your own bestfriend ?’.
‘Mason what has gotten into you?’,i asked, getting pissed
He pushed me on the floor, and i hurt my ankle.

YEP! it’s working……..great, i just hope Bella doesn’t survive then mason will be mine.

‘You must be stupid to ask me such a question’,i replied angrily and she raised her hand to sl@p me.

I kept mute, and walked away, if i stay here any minute, i might do something stupid!
I stood at the front of the doctor’s office.
After an hour or so, he walked towards his office.
‘You must be the relative of the patient in ward 25c right?’,he asked.
‘Yes we are’,zara and Julie replied, running towards us.
‘Well you guys nee-d to act fast, her life is in danger. We can’t treat her, the injuries are too severe, it seems as if after the terrible accident, she was beaten unt©p’,he an-alysed.
‘Geez!’,Julie said.
‘That’s brutal, so like how much are we talking about here?’,zara asked.
‘Well…for flight and stuff, plus estimated.. Amount for treatment….we’ll say 1 billion’,he blurted and zara almost coll@psed.
‘We…don’t have that type of money’,Julie stammered.
I thought for a while.
‘I’ll get the money’,i replied. Julie and zara bur-st out laughing.
‘Where will you get such money from? I get that you want Bella to be well, but don’t make false promises, let’s be serious here’,Julie said, admist laughing.
‘Yea….that’s true’,zara replied.
I ignored their mockery.
I went to the balcony to male a call. I still remember my dad’s number.
‘Dad’, i called out
‘My son, you calling me all of a sudden means you nee-d something from me, so what’s it?’,he asked.
‘You know me well dad, i nee-d 1.2billion’,i blurted.
‘1.2billion, that’s a whole lot. Well i can give it to you, but every thing comes with a price to pay’,he replied.
I breathed out loudly
‘Yes i know’,i replied.
‘Good, we un-derstand each other’,he replied.
I know they wont be able to get such amount, and even if they do, they won’t make it on time…..and boom, Bella will leave this world.

i left that for later, my friend……no, sis comes first.
We got to the airport and we entered the plane.
Mason looked tensed.
He must be feeling bad cox we made jest of him.
