MELISSA POV
Lila isn’t coming open,she has ill intentions towards Miles. She knows Miles tried to kill her yet she’s been lenient to him. Something doesn’t feel right. I thought trying to come up with a solution.
Now she’s involving Aidan in her dirty games. Endangering both their lives at the same time. What’s she trying to gain by asking Aidan and her daughter to get married. She’s trying to buy herself some time. How smart of Aidan to have given her such excuse as a condition. He’s also trying to buy time.
Everyone’s planning something but what are they planning. Miles really can’t believe that Lila will come out of open with a smile on her face,she was obviously a demon before she disappeared. She didn’t look close to her daughter either and her seems to be a little older than Cora and Elina. I muttered in my head.
“I can’t stay here and keep wondering things. Miles nee-ds ideas and I’m pretty sure I can give him ideas” I uttered and head to his chambers.
I got to Miles’s chambers and Mason was there with him.
“Perfect,now that we’re all here. Let’s talk about what Lila is planning”I uttered and they kept mute.
“What’s going on? Why aren’t you both saying anything” I asked confused.
“Melissa let’s leave Lila’s issue for later. Now let’s talk about you. I Can’t believe you’ve been a devil in disguise” Mason grimaced.
“What’s that supposed to mean Mason?” I asked anxiously.
“Till when do you plan on pretending to have done nothing. How can you be this heartless” He cursed.
“Can you elaborate….” I stuttered as I had the feeling he has alre-ady found out what happened.
“Miles why aren’t you saying anything” I swallowed ha-rd .
“What do you want him to say? Melissa why did you do it? Miles sees you as the only sister he has yet you treated him this way. Why” Mason yelled.
“I’m sorry okay,I only did that to protect Aidan. I couldn’t just seat back and watch Miles kill his own son. My heart couldn’t take it” I confessed with tears rolling down my cheeks.

“Melissa what are you saying” Miles asked curiously.
“Melissa what do you mean by what you just said right now” Mason asked curiously.
“Isn’t that what you were talking about” I stuttered and their face expression changed.
“Don’t tell me, you were the one who stole Aidan? Melissa true or not plea-se just lie to me. I’m willing to hear you lie” Miles uttered slowly and my tears couldn’t stĀ©p rolling down.
“I’m sorry but my conscience really can’t take it anymore. Yes I was the one who stole Aidan the day he was born. I was scared Lila or you will kill Aidan so I stole him away and pretended like I knew nothing. I was only trying to protect him,I’m sorry” I sobbe-d.
“Why would Miles want to kill his own son” Mason asked confused.
“You told me,the only way to stĀ©p Miles’s side effects was if he kills his own son with his fangs and the other remedy was for Miles to head for the demon pack region but till the month Zoe was to put to be-d,he didn’t go to the demon region so I thought he made up his mind about killing Aidan” I explained.
“What” Miles g@sped in shock.
“Miles knew Lila wanted to kill Aidan and that’s why he killed Lila the day Aidan was born. Melissa you really jump to conclusions without trusting your friends. You know exactly what Miles and I are capable of doing” Miles yelled angrily.
“I really don’t feel upset anymore about you stealing Aidan away but the fact that you didn’t trust Mason and I really got me pissed. Melissa why do you think I will be able to kill my own child. I maybe heartless when ma-king decisions but killing my loved ones is beyond imagination” Miles uttered angrily.
“I’m…” I uttered but Miles cut in.
“Melissa leave, I really want to be left alone. You’re unbelievable you” Miles grimaced and Mason walked out of his chambers and I followed him.
“Mason I’m sorry,I really meant no harm” I apologized running behind him and he stĀ©pped walking.
“I don’t want to talk to you right now as well. Can you plea-se stĀ©p apologizing, it’s really ma-king me feel worse and don’t follow me” He warned.
“Mason you still love me right” I asked sobbing.
“Is that question really necessary in a situation like this. No matter how much I love you,I really can’t help it but get mad at you for acting so reckless” Mason hinted and walked away.
I went back to my chambers and found Finley sitting at the other end staring at me.
“Are you also here to lash it out on me? I really don’t mind go ahead and do as you wish,it really doesn’t matter”I said in a low tone and he walked to me then gave me a hvg.
“You’re hvgging me”I g@sped confused.
“I’m sorry mother for misjudging you” He said softly.
“Does that mean you’ve forgiven me” I asked curiously and he nodded as we broke the hvg.
“I can’t get mad at you for too long. You’re the best mother one can ever ask for. You tried your possible best to protect the alpha’s heir so you did nothing wrong. I’m sure father un-derstands as well,I’m sorry I heard your conversation with the Alpha” He said almost in a whisper.
“Thank you” I smiled and gave him a ti-ght hvg.
MILES POV
These were one of my fears. Fate repeating itself. Aidan can’t end up with Lila’s daughter that’s preposterous. I’m pretty sure he will fall for Erica,she looks innocent and beautiful just like her mother.
“Don’t worry, Aidan won’t fall for her. I don’t think anyone would be able to sway him with love. We’ve been throu-gh a lot alre-ady in the name of love” Zoe uttered as she joined me.
“Don’t you think I should be the one ma-king that statement. I went throu-gh a lot for the sake of love but if Aidan is really going to go throu-gh same emotional torture,I can’t stĀ©p that but I will try to give him some piece of advice” I said coldly.
“Not all love are worth fighting for. Aidan is smart he will make wise decisions about his life. We don’t have the right to interfere much in his life decisions but getting married to Erica is something I will fight with the last drop of blood in me. There’s no way,I will let that wedding happen. Never!” I declared seriously.
If taking the thing I cherish most to make that happen,I will do it. I will fight against destiny. I muttered in my mind angrily.

ERICA POV
Mother ma-king a decision like that, really bothers me. Why would she come up with something like that. Getting married to the alpha’s heir is really something I can’t even dream of doing. That was out of line.
“Erica!” Mother called as she c@mĀ£ into my chambers.
“Mother you called” I answered with a smile.
“Don’t even think of refusing to get married to Aidan. You have no option but to get married to him” mother said seriously.
“But mother I thought you said you had a hvge score to settle with the Alpha but using marriage in exchange for the battle that’s really something I should question. I’ve trained all my life to go to war with you to Polatan and suddenly marriage” I protested with a frown.
“You now sound very bold when speaking to me. Why do you think marriage isn’t a good idea. Being the future Luna of Polatan was a dream I’ve always had when I was little and now I’m pas-sing down that dream to you. There’s no nee-d to protest” Mother said with a smile.
“Why mother? I still have the right to protest when I feel something isn’t right. If you don’t tell me what’s going on,how am I supposed to carry out your request”I demanded.
“Oh yes,I’m still standing on my words. You still have to continue training, don’t let your guard down because I said marriage and you sound like Aidan is too bad of a choice. If I was younger than this I wouldn’t bother ma-king you his wife. I would be his bride instead” Mother sneered.
“Mother, Aidan is like a son to you. Why would you have such a thought and I only protested to the marriage because he’s way too good for me. I might end up losing my guard if the wedding really happens” I said almost in a whisper and mother glared at me.
“How did I end up with a daughter like myself. All the training I’ve been giving you really meant nothing to you. You’re not allowed to love anyone so don’t even think about it. We haven’t conquered Polatan yet. You getting married to Aidan was only an excuse to put my plans together so put yourself together” Mother warned and left my room.
“How do you expect me to control myself over such temptation. Mother you really can’t blame me if I fall for him. I didn’t call for this” I mumbled.
“Erica you’re leaving for Polatan tomorrow,you will be spending a month there in the castle” Mother announced from outside.
“Yes mother” I responded with a smile.
Why am I so excited about this trip when I know this whole drama won’t end well. Mother is bent on destroying everyone. I don’t know if I’m an exception. I muttered in my mind tiredly.
ELINA POV
“Elina..” Cora called out running into my chambers.
“Yes, did something hvge happen” I asked curiously staring at her.
“Erica have arrived at the Castle but Aidan left the palace awhile ago so go settle your score with her” Cora suggested and I scoffed.
“How brilliant of you Cora? How dare she and her mother tra-p my brother into their devious plans. There’s no way I will allow Aidan fall for their un-der hand tricks” I said angrily.
“Are we going to her now” Cora asked curiously.
“She’s in my castle,she should be the one to come say hello. It’s not like anyone here is happy to see her. She c@mĀ£ with nothing so she’s going back with nothing, marriage huh,in their wildest dreams” I g@sped and Erica c@mĀ£ into my chambers.
“Sorry but I heard what you just said” Erica sneered.
“Did I look like I was hiding or pretending not to have said that. You’re probably here to come distract my brother all in the name of ma-king the both of you fall for each other” I said seriously.
“What’s wrong with getting to know Aidan more? After all that was the original plan. If you really don’t want to get your father pissed, don’t get on my nerves. I really hate it when people try to ruin things for me” She forewarned and I giggled.
“You’re really one sneaky thing, claiming authority in our kingdom is really something you shouldn’t plan on doing” Cora scorned.
“I know it’s your kingdom but I never requested to get married to Aidan so don’t seat there and make me look like someone is begging to be your brother’s bride. What’s so good about your brother anyway” Erica sneered.
“Everything is good about my brother. You’re so rude,you can’t possibly become my sister in-law with an attitude like that. Your attitude really su-cks” I said coldly with a frown.
“Same as your attitude,it really su-cks. I don’t really make enmity with those around me but you called this upon yourself. You gain plea-sure in intimid@t!ngothers and I really hate it when others try to step on my toes” She grimaced.
“While you’re here in polatan, don’t expect anything from me. I won’t come in your way with my brother but don’t bother coming to me with tears in your eyes. Cora and I are the only nice werewolves you can find in polatan so good luck with your love story” I sm-irked and left my chambers.
“Good luck climbing up the ladder” Cora sneered and walked to me.

Father was right,there’s no nee-d for me to panick. I don’t have to show it to her that I’m scared of her ending up with Aidan. I can still make things work my way if I stĀ©p showing my fears. Aidan we’re in this together. I muttered in my mind with full determination.
FINLEY POV
I think there’s nothing wrong with getting married to Erica but the fact that the Alpha vampire c@mĀ£ up with a suggestion like that tells a story behind everything.
Aidan is very good looking and that’s a fact that can’t be hidden or denied, I won’t blame Erica if she falls for him. What about Aidan,will he also develop feelings for her. That’s absurd, this is clearly a suicide mission. I thought frustratedly seated in the forest in de-ep thoughts.
“Don’t worry too much about me,I can handle myself. I knew this was all a set up from the moment the Alpha vampire gave a condition like this and only a fool will see this as an easy route. I don’t see it as one” Aidan uttered as he c@mĀ£ out from nowhere.
“You know that as well. Exactly my point,this is clearly a suicide mission. Father told me the Alpha vampire also gave an other like this some years back and plans she had on her head after becoming the Luna was unimaginable,I also find her to be very vicious” I g@sped and he grinned.
“She’s not that bad of a lady. Two days I spent with her was really fun,she’s not that heartless as everyone thinks. She’s only hurting. I guess she loved father so much beyond her imagination” He said softly.
“If she’s hurting,she shouldn’t take it out on you. You’re innocent of all this” I uttered frustratedly.
“She just finds me too good looking and charming and it’s hurting her pride. Her last option will be killing me and I know that’s what she will do when she’s run out of options” He said slowly.
“You’re know that and still agree to be her son-in-law. Seriously I can’t believe you” I muttered perplexed.
