Jasmine’s POV

I rolled out of be-d, eyes on his slee-ping figure
as I ti-ptoed to the bathroom. I took another
shower, changed my clothes, and sat down on
the be-d afterwards, re-ading throu-gh a recent
gossip magazine.
He stirred. “Hey,” his voice croaked out.
“Hi,” I answered him.
He sat up in be-d, scrunching his eyes from the
rays of the sun coming throu-gh the glas-s door
of the balcony. “What time is it?” he asked.
“Four thirty”
“Ughh! Get dressed, baby. I’m taking you out
to get something to eat,” he offered as he got
out of be-d. He put his T-shi-t and p@n-ts on
and k!$$ยฃd my forehead before he left the
room.
I quic-kly went over to the tiny suitcase I c@mยฃ
with, looking for something S-xy and tempting
to wear. I had just had steaming h0t S-x with
this man and I wasn’t about to bore him away
from me anytime soon. My hands found a ti-ght
red dress with spaghetti tra-ps and a low nยฃยขk
line which showed just enough cleavage. I had
worn this dress only once at one of Zenia’s
college functions when Mom was ill. Thanking
myself for alre-ady taking a shower, I sli-pped
on the dress and went to the mirror.
I applied light makeup to my face, ma-king
sure I wasn’t over doing it or trying too ha-rd . I
stepped into a black stilettos and placed my
cellphone, a packet of Tic Tacs, floss and red
li-pstick into my black clutch.
I sat back on the be-d, waiting for him to come
over.
After what seemed to be twenty minutes, he
was knocking on the door.
I took one final glance in the mirror, smoothing
my flat ironed hair with my f!ngers, rotating
around to have a look at my bยฉdy figure and
checking my attempt at makeup application.
Smiling in approval, I went for the door.
His eyes bulged as he stood there, open-
mouthed but he couldn’t say a thing. I had
made him speechless.
Another point for me.
“re-ady?” I asked, shaking him from the trance
I had successfully put him into.
“Yeah… I… I’m re-ady.”
He looked divine as well. He wore a grey T-
shi-t and a pair of distressed jeans. His grey
and white Jordan sneakers paired with his T-
shi-t and his eyes. His pitch black hair always
shinned and just added more to his handsome
facial features.
My boss in a pair of Jordans. I never thought I
would see this day.
Locking our arms together, like a real couple,
we walked to the elevator. Our feet carried us
to the entrance of the h0tel and towards his
rental car. We earned some glances from the
other h0tel guests and some of people were
even taking pictures of us holding hands. It
made me a bit somewhat uncomfortable but I
didn’t want to make it so obvious to him. No
matter how uncomfortable others made me, he
was alre-ady my comfort.

“Where are we going to eat?” I asked, getting
in and fastening my seat belt.
“A restaurant, just a mile from here. It’s along
the beach. I know you’ll love it,” he answered.
He hit the accelerator and drove us to his
de-sired destination.
We walked into a beautiful beach restaurant.
The sun was now standing over the horizon
and created an orange effect in the sky and it
reflected throu-ghout the restaurant. It was
amazing. A perfect work of art.
“You do look very beautiful, by the way,” he
said, pu-lling out a seat for me when the
waitress took us to a table. “A queen.”
“Thank you,” I answered him, settling to
comfort in the chair.
He sat on the opposite side of me, staring into
my eyes with his grey ones. I was lost in his.
His eyes were my world and my favorite thing
about his appearance. They were the first thing
I noticed about him when I c@mยฃ for my very
first interview at Hollen Tower. The way they
twi-nkled when he was happy and/or laughing,
and the way they got darker when he was
angry.
“May I have your order plea-se?” the waitress
c@mยฃ to us and interrupted my thoughts.
“Sure. Baby, what are you having?” he asked
me first.
“I’ll have some rice, diced lobster with garlic
bu-tter sauce, green vegetables and potatoes.
And for my drink, I’ll have a glas-s of red wine.”
He gave me one of his cute short smiles. “I’ll
have the same as her.”
We handed over our menus to her and she
disappeared towards the kitchen area.
“Are you okay baby?” he asked me, holding my
hand in his across the table. He ru-bbe-d his
palm over mine and it was taking everything I
had to not go across the table and have my
way with him.
“I’m okay,” I answered him. “How about yo–?” I
was rudely interrupted by a woman coming
over to our table.
“Evan? Evan Hollen?” she was asking as she
walked towards his side.
He let go of my hand and his eyes went to her
direction. He stood up instantly and pu-ll-ed her
into a hvg.
I felt something in me being raged up as I
watched his bยฉdy pressing against another
woman. Who was she?
“It’s been ages,” she said with a big smile on
her face.
“I can’t believe I’m actually seeing you here.
How are you?” he asked her.
They swayed in each other arms before pu-lling
away from their embr@ce.
If they had only stayed like that for another
second. I would have been on her as-s! Oh what
the hell am I saying? Calm down, Jasmine.
Calm down! I can’t calm down when this bit-ch
got her arms around my man! He’s my
man! Where the hell did she come from
anyways? She just c@mยฃ and ruined our time.
“Jasmine!” I heard his voice.
“Huh?” I asked, silencing the voices in my
head.
“I’m introducing you to someone. This is
Ashley Simmons. We went to the same college
and her parents are p@rtners in our industry.”
“Hi. It’s nice to meet you,” she said.
“Likewise,” I answered short with a fake smile.
I could see right throu-gh this woman.
“So am I interrupting? Because I could
always…” she directed to him.
“Actually, we’re on a d@tยฃ,” I put out.
Her eyes laced me and I didn’t flatten my gaze
on her.
We could do this all night bit-ch!
“That’s lovely,” she said. She ti-ptoed up to
Evan’s ear. His six feet figure towered over her
five feet. “Isn’t she your as-sistant?” I heard her
asking him.
I remained silent.
“Yes, she is my as-sistant and we’re d@t!ng
now. Is that a problem to you, Ashley?
Because it wasn’t a problem when you were
slee-ping with Mike, your as-sistant.” He sยฃnt
her down the river instantly.
I cl@pped mentally.
“Well congratulations. I hope it lasts,” she said
with a fake smile.
“Thank you,” Evan and I said in unison.
“Well, it was nice seeing you again, Evan. Hope
it won’t be another three years when we see
each other again.” After saying that, she left our
table and left the restaurant.
“Your crush in college?” I asked, jealousy still
tumbling around in my stomach.
“What? No! We just took some clas-ses
together. I never had a girlfriend in college.”
“Is that so? Why?”
“Let’s leave that for another time. I want this
evening to only be about me and you.”
The waitress c@mยฃ back and served our dinner
and glas-ses of red wine.
The evening went by very smoothly afterwards.
We spoke about everything un-der the sun. The
ocean breeze flew around us, eliminating all
distraction from the restaurant as we got lost
into each other.
It was 11:00 p.m when we got back to the
h0tel.
“Good night,” he said as we stood outside my
room door. He k!$$ยฃd my forehead then my
li-ps.
“I don’t want it to end,” I whispered between
his k!sses.
“What do you have in mind?” he asked in his
usual sยฃdรปรงt!vevoice. He trailed his k!sses to
my nยฃยขk, raising goosebu-mps all over me.
“Wanna find out?” I asked back. I took his
hand in mine and opened the door, pu-lling him
behind me as I led us to the be-droom.
He undressed me and himself. Our craved,
heated bodies met the mattress and I was put
on cloud ten, yet again.

Jasmine’s POV

“How was your trip?” Zenia asked as soon as I
c@mยฃ throu-gh the door.
It had been a few weeks since my trip with
Evan to the Bahamas. Once we got back he
jumped right back into work. The day we got
back he had a meeting to attend and had one
of his personal drivers take me home.
With my work schedule, and Zenia’s new work
schedule, I hadn’t had time to rel@yanything to
her. We were always crossing paths but had
not real time to talk.
“It was lovely,” I answered, my mind
reminiscing back to the heated S-x I had with
my boss. My bยฉdy placed close to his. His
ton-gue traveling to the s-en-sitive p@rt of my
nยฃยขk and my skin raising with goosebu-mps.
He was quite the accomplished lover.
“You know you’re smiling, right?” Zenia said,
folding her arms as she sm-irked.
“Where’s Mom?” I asked, changing the subject.
“Mom found a job.”
“WHAT?!”
“Mom… found… a… job,” she repeated
slower.
“Where?”
“At a restaurant. She’ll be one of their
cleaners… or chef… or something.”
I raked my f!ngersthrou-gh my hair. Placing my
suitcase against the wall, I sat down on the
couch. I knew my mother. She was so
headstrong and independent. She hated relying
on anyone. She nee-ded to be home resting,
but there was no way she was going to take
the full three months the doctor told her to
take. She was too used to doing for herself–
and me and Zenia.
When Dad left us without a word, it affected
her, but Mom bounced back as if he wasn’t
there from the very beginning. She took the
role of fatherhood and motherhood into her
hands and she delivered everything to the best
of her ability.
“Okay,” I answered.
“Yeah. I know you tried to change the subject
though, but it’s not that easy with me.”
“Zen… plea-se don’t start,” I gro-an ed.
“Did you two have S-x? Because, by the look
on your face, there’s a glow you’re trying to
conceal.”
My sister knew me so well, but I wasn’t about
to tell her about it just as yet. “Put my
suitcase into my be-droom, then I’ll tell you
everything,” I lied. I’d been so busy I hadn’t
had time to unpack and had just dropped it to
the side in the living room.
For new gossip, she’d do almost anything.
Without hesitation, my suitcase was carried
into my be-droom and she took the liberty of
unpacking everything inside.
“Jas-sy! You brou-ght this back for me? Oh
thank you, thank you!” I heard her screaming
with excitement as I tried to fight the sleep
from my eyes.
“Yeahhh,” I gro-an ed.
Before Evan and I left the Bahamas we went
shopping. He bought clothes and accessories
of my choice. I knew Zenia loved fashion so I
got her ten dresses, five pairs of jeans and five
pairs of shoes. I also got her a few
accessories like earrings, watches and a
nยฃยขklace. I was happy when she appeared to
be grateful. Although she got on my nerves,
she was my little sister and I loved her.
“Okay, so can you tell me about it now?” she
asked. “Hello. Hello!” I heard her faintly
saying.
But sleep had won.
________________
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of
my phone ringing. Without looking at the caller
ID, I answered.
“I’m outside,” a male voice said before hanging
up.
Getting out of be-d with my PJ’s on, I went for
the front door.
“Where have you been? Huh? I’ve been calling
you and texting you. I even c@mยฃ by here but
you were nowhere to be found!”
“br@dley… Umm, why are you here so early?” I
asked, checking the time on my phone. 6:30
am.
“Where were you Jasmine?” His tone was a
growl and I saw he was trying to control his
anger. “I asked you a question!” he semi
shouted.
“I was on a business trip,” I answered, fear
coming into my che-st, and it was obvious in
my voice.
“With whom?” he asked the question I was
dre-ading to answer.
“My boss.”
“Just the two of you?”
“No. Several as-sociates as well.”
His anger flattened and I exhaled with relief. I
knew what he was capable of doing when he
got angry.
“I missed you,” he said, taking me in for a
hvg.
“I miss you too. I should’ve called,” I found
myself saying back to him as I returned his
hvg.
I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I was
about to enter a pla-ying field with two men.
Why couldn’t I just be honest with br@dley and
tell him it was only me and Mr. Hollen? And it
wasn’t just a business trip.
Evan made it extra special for me. We had
steaming S-x and we made love for an entire
night. He had ordered chocolate, strawberries
and wh!pped cream from room service. He
placed it on all my S-xual p@rts and then he
su-cked and ate it off me. I had never had that
done to me before and I would definitely never
forget it.
Evan was everything in the be-droom and out of
the be-droom. The hour we were supposed to
leave, he had me screaming his name in a
bubbling h0t Jacuzzi. Just thinking about it,
made me we-t all over again.
But here I was, lying to a man I wasn’t even
supposed to get involved with ever again. A
p@rt of me felt like I owed him, I guess.
“Wanna gr-ab some breakfast?” he asked,
planting a k!sson my cheek.
“Sure. Let me freshen up first,” I said.
“Okay. I’ll be in the car.”
I closed the door and went back to my
be-droom. I took a h0t shower, changed into a
pair of jeans and a T-shi-t, and combe-d my
hair. For makeup I applied a little mascara and
l!pgloss. I left a note on the kitchen island
before leaving with br@dley.
“Why are we going somewhere different?” I
asked as he pas-sed the cafe where we usually
had breakfast.
“I’m stepping up my game. There’s this new
cafe in the south that recently opened and I’m
dying to take you there.”
I smiled but remained silent.
We arrived at a big cafe and the aroma of
freshly baked muffins was alre-ady in the air.
“Good morning and welcome to Jem’s Cafe .
What can you get you?” a waitress asked as
we found a seat.
“I’ll have a muffin and a cu-p of coffee, plea-se,”
I answered.
“And you, sir?”
“Same as her, but make that two muffins.”
“Sure.”
“It’s a beautiful place, right?” he asked when
the waitress left our table to fill our order.
“Definitely. It’s lovely,” I answered, taking in the
environment with a smile on my face.
That smile disappeared quic-kly when my eyes
landed in the far corner of the cafe. Having a
cu-p of coffee, and dressed in a business suit
with two other men that looked just as
powerful as him, was seated Evan Hollen.
