The fall of the drama queen episode 4

💄 THE FALL OF A DRAMA 👑QUEEN

#EPISODE_4

🎉Emerald’s POV

I never expected where we went for dinner. I thought it would be one of the luxurious restaurants in London. I was hungry and craving for a delicious English cuisine.

“Where’s your car?” I asked Harry when we were outside the palace. He said he’d take me out for dinner.

“It’s in front of you.”

I looked at the motorbike parked in front of me with two helmets dangling on the hand grips.

“Oh, no… no… I won’t ride on that… thing.” I was scared of ri-ding a motorbike. It would be my first time, if ever. I re-ad too many articles about people died in a motorcycle accident. I did not want to take the risk.

“Why not? It’s fun.” Harry took the two helmets, giving the other one to me.
I shook my head, not taking the helmet. “I’m scared… That’s not safe to ride.”

“Don’t you trust me?”

I thought about it again. Should I take the risk? Or not. I knew Harry would not do anything to put my life in danger. I trusted him in coming here in London. Even my family trusted him. He would not do anything to betray that trust.
I took the helmet and put it on my head. Harry helped me by securing the cli-ps of the helmet on my chin. The anxiety I felt slowly faded and replaced with an unexplainable excitement.

Harry started the engine of the motorbike and I hopped in behind him, pu-lling my dress up and securing it between my legs.
I did not know where to put my hands. On his shoulders, arms or w@!st. So I decided at the side of his w@!st. But he pu-ll-ed my hands and let my arms wra-pped around his w@!st.

“re-ady?”

“I’m re-ady.” I said and he drove the motorbike.

The very air around us seemed electrified. The dizzying current connecting us was so strong. It took my breath away. My heart danced with excitement being so close to him. Like I wanted to be here always. I never felt this kind of feeling before – in my entire life. I felt free, like a bird soaring high.
We left the motorbike and went to the crowded night market. There were plenty of choices of food, ma-king me hungrier. We ordered Indian, Fili-pino, Chinese, Japanese, American and Jamaican food.

“This is so good! This is the best bu-tter chicken I’ve ever tasted.” I di-pped another piece of naan in the bu-tter chicken sauce.
He chuckled. ” Better than your chef made in your house?”
I nodded, then drank my soda.

He took a piece of California maki, di-pping it in the soy sauce and placed it on my plate. I took a bite of the Jamaican Pattie, and put it back on his plate. We were actually sharing the foods. I’ve never done this with anyone before, of course other than my family. It was another of my first time.

“I’ve never eaten so much in my life. The food was so delicious.” There were a large variety of international cuisine. There were other food I wanted to try, like the spicy noodles. “I’m going to get fat if I come here often.”
He laughed again, then said. “You have… ” He pointed the side of myl-ips.

I wiped myl-ips with the table napkin, but he shook his head.

“You’re ma-king it worse. Here let me do it.” He wiped myl-ips with the table napkin and I felt suddenly conscious.
After our dinner, we went to a hill to look at the scenery of the city. We were sitting on a bench, talking about our lives and families.

“Where’s your parents? They also live here in England, right?”
“Yeah. They’re in Kensington. Mom is happier being back here in England. She got reunited with her family again.” He fixed his gaze on me and his voice was so de-ep. “One of these days, we can visit them if you want.”

“I’d love that. It’s been so long since I’ve seen them.”
“Yeah, you’ll get to see London too.” London was Harry’s twin sister. She was always in New York. I guessed she preferred New York rather than England.
“Do you have any idea of the design of the crown?”
“Hmm… I have some ideas running in my mind, I have to draw the designs tomorrow. I’ll show it to you when I’m done. I’ll nee-d your suggestions though.”
“Sure. Anyways, I haven’t showed you the whole palace yet. We can do it tomorrow. I’m not too busy in the afternoon.” He suggested.
“Yes, plea-se. Thank you.” I spoke eagerly. “Um… you haven’t introduced me to Prince Phil!pyet.”
He stared at me, like observing me. “Do you like him?”
“What?” I was surprised by his question. I felt my face heated with embarras-sment.
“Sorry. I just noticed that you’re very eager to meet the prince.”

“I’m just curious, okay.”

He nodded and smiled at me. Then he moved closer. His arm brushing against mine. I could feel the heat of his b©dy like electricity, radiating on me. We were sitting together, staring at the city lights.

I woke up early and decided to go for a run. I ate too many food last night and I nee-ded exercise to burn all that calories. I went to the park, jogging and did some stretching for an hour. Afterwards, I dropped by at the tea shop and gr@bb£d a matcha green tea fra-ppe.

I roamed around the palace, looking thor0ûghly at the building itself, the external designs and structures, the moldings and layouts. Inside, I observed every detail of the interior designs and ornaments.

I was in the hallway, alone. I closed my eyes, feeling the place… the ambiance… to internalize the surroundings for inspiration, so I could come up a beautiful design for the crown when suddenly someone barked at me.

“You again?!”

I jo-lted and opened my eyes abruptly. In front of me were the two girls I bu-mped into yesterday.

“What are you doing here in the Palace? Tourist are not allowed here early in the morning.” The girl wearing pink dress yesterday reprimanded me. Her eyes were sharp and accusing. Pink must be her favorite color. She was wearing an all neon pink gym outfit and footwear. The very bright color hurt my eyes.
“I’m a visitor here. Actually, I’m staying here.”
“Ohhh! A visitor.” The other girl, in lavender dress yesterday, said sarcastically. “So, what is your business here in the Palace?”

“I don’t think I’m allowed to say it, but I’m working with the royal household.” I said firmly, in a very professional way.
“Really? Then you should act like an employee. You’re like a queen roaming around the palace as if you own it. And THAT thing is prohibited inside.” She pointed at my matcha green tea fra-ppe. “Be thankful that I’m in a good mood today, or else I’ll report you and have you in prison.”

What? Prison for this? I looked at my half-consumed fra-ppe. I don’t think so. These girls are dumb.

“Yeah! And you should curtsy on us. We’re royals!” Miss Neon Pink raised an eyebrow, studying me from head to toe.

You wish! I would not lower myself into these two dumbas-s bit-ches. If they wanted respect from me, then they should show respect to me first. Respect is not imposed or begged. It should be earned and offered.

“Here.” I gave my matcha green tea fra-ppe to Miss Neon Pink and she took it.

“Ew! What’s this for?”

“Take it with both of you. The trash gets picked up today. Be re-ady.” I lifted my chin and left them speechless.

Harry called me at eight in the morning. My heart hammering foolishly the moment I heard his voice. Since last night, I started thinking more and more about him.

No. This is so bad. I shouldn’t act like a lovesick young girl anymore. I was over him a long time ago. I did not want to get hurt again. He was only treating me as a friend.
“I’m sorry. I can’t see you today. Something c@m£ up and I have to attend to it immediately.” I could hear the disappointment in his voice.
“It’s okay. Just do your job, that’s the most important thing. I’ll still be here in the next few days, so there’s a lot of time to explore.”

“I promise, I’ll make it up to you. We’ll go somewhere fancy next time.”

“It’s okay. I enjoyed our adventure last night. It was my first time in a motorbike.”

It’s true. I realized that it doesn’t have to be a fancy place in order to enjoy and have a great time. What is important is the person you’re with and the adventure that you’ve both enjoyed and experienced.

I’ve been living a very sheltered life ever since I was born. Growing up in a very protective family, my parents would not allow me to go out often. I remembered when I was in s£nior High. They had to do background investigation first or screen the people I hung out with.

He laughed a little. A laugh that sounded so de-ep and S-xy. “I’m glad you liked it. I had a great time too.” He paused and I could hear him sighed heavily. “Anyway… there’s a visitor in the palace today. I’m occu-pied until this evening. So, I’ll be seeing you tomorrow?”

“Sure. I’ll be busy ma-king the designs too.”

“Good… good.” He answered, then we said goodbye.

I started ma-king the designs of the crown and coordinating with my master craft designer in New York to improvise, ma-king it in digital 3D imagery. We nee-ded to make sure also if we could acquire the gemstones from our suppliers.

“Have you seen Prince Phili-p?” My personal as-sistant, Cathy asked me . She had a thing for celebrities. Any gossips and rumors, she was upd@t£d.

“Yeah. I bu-mped into him, yesterday.”

.”Reallyyyy!!! Wow… You’re so lucky. I re-ad an article in the internet just now that someone recognized him last night. He took his d@t£ in a night market. Isn’t that cool? I’d go anywhere he’d take me, I swear!” She skrie-ked with excitement.

“In a night market? Hmm.. I was with Harry in a night market last night. I haven’t seen him.”

“Ahh.. maybe you guys were too early.”

“Yeah, we were.”

After I had my lunch, there was a knock on the door. I opened the door, it was the King’s mess£nger.

“The King apologized for this short notice, Miss Petrakis.” The mess£nger said, then gave me a glossy gold envelope.

I opened it and I was surprised. An invitation for a Royal Dinner. Tonight.
