After fli-pping numerous pages open, prince Reagan decided to st©p and re-ad throu-gh a page but a call from his phone interrupted him.
He st©pped and pu-ll-ed out the phone from his br£@st pocket before answering it.
“Reagan, where the fv¢k are you? Come back to the palace,” he heard Prince Micheal gr0@nfrom the other side.
“Why are you sounding like that. Tell me, what happened?” Prince Reagan inquired not willing to leave.
“Just get your fv¢kïng as-s here. Something happened,” prince Micheal gro-an ed again in reply before cutting the call.
Prince Reagan sighed while bringing down the phone.
“What happened?” Pink who has been staring at him the whole time asked.
“I’m nee-ded at the palace. Heard something happened, I’ll try to come back quic-k,” Prince Reagan said while standing to his feet.
He handed the journal over to Pink.
“It’s not right to re-ad throu-gh someone’s journal but we have no choice right now. Find out what happened to your parents,” he said while standing bank upright.
“And..don’t leave this room till I get back. Promise me you won’t leave,” prince Reagan requested sternly.
“I won’t,” Pink agreed giving him a firm look.
He turned and walked out of the room. He got outside to one of the cars there.
“Get me the key,” Prince Reagan stretched his hand towards one of the guards there and they handed him the key to that car. Simon who was around the corner made to drive him but he waved him off.
“Don’t worry. I’ll drive myself,” he spoke coldly before driving off.
He drove in full speed and soon got to the palace, more people were alre-ady in the palace but everywhere seems to be in order.
A maid quic-kly rushed towards Prince Reagan.
“Your Highness, plea-se this way,” the maid nodded towards a direction. Prince Reagan gave her a go ahead and she started leading him towards the chambers of the crown prince.
They got closer and that was when prince Reagan sighted Prince Steven standing outside and looking worried.
“What happened?” Prince Reagan wasted no time to ask.
“It’s Marcus..he…he stabbe-d himself and he is currently being treated,” Prince Steven explained worriedly.
“How…how..how could he do such a thing to himself?” Prince Reagan asked, stunned at the news.
“He kept saying that he doesn’t want to be the king. He kept saying and shouting that after the queen entered his chambers few minutes later and that was the final result. The royal doctor is treating him, Micheal, the queen and the king are in there with him.” Prince Steven explained further.
Prince Reagan sighed before walking pas-s him. He entered the room to see all the people prince Steven mentioned inside.
The queen glared at him angrily as if he was the one who stabbe-d the crown prince.
“Father,” Prince Reagan could only say.
“Where is your brother?” The king asked but sighted Prince Steven entering the room.
“Ok, now that you all are here. I think it’s time to choose a new crown prince. Marcus doesn’t and is in no state to become a king,” the king said.
His words infuriated the queen a lot.
“Your Highness, your son is only sick. You want to un-crown him because of his sickness?” She huffed.
“Shut up and sit down. You made him this way, didn’t you?” The king lashed at the queen.
“If it weren’t for you Marcus wouldn’t have turned out like this. I made a mistake having you raise him instead of Micheal your real son, if I had known he’ll end up like this I couldn’t have switched the two children,” the king said shocking everyone inside the room including the two maids and the royal doctor inside the room.
The queen rose to her feet.
“You did what?” The queen asked her heart beat slowing down.
“You heard me. Immediately after you and your sister gave birth. I switched your first sons. I wanted to see how the two children will turn but I guess I behaved wrongly,” the king said again confirming what they all heard.
“Fa..father…you did what?” It was prince Michael’s turn to ask.
“You mean this woman is my birth mother?” Prince Micheal pointed at the queen. The queen also stood transfixed in shock.
“Yes,” the king stated not flattering one bit.
“No! It can’t be. That woman can’t be my own mother,” Prince Micheal shook his head in doubt.
“She is your birth mother. I married her and her younger sister and you all know the remaining history. The only wrong I did was switching you and Marcus at birth.”
“Beatrice must be really angry at me. Seeing the state of her first son, I’m sure she must be cursing me by now.” The king muttered bitterly but everyone clearly heard him.
“So, that really means Marcus is my brother and not my half brother.” Prince Steven said not p@rticularly speaking to anyone.
“No! I can’t believe this,” Prince Micheal shook his head and started walking out from the room.
“Micheal…?” Prince Reagan tried calling him back but he angrily stormed out of the room.
They all never liked the queen. All three of them. It’s coming as a shock now that the queen isn’t Marcus birth mother but Michael’s.
“What else did you do father?” Prince Steven turned to face his father.
“What else do you have to tell us? I never knew my mother was the queen’s sister. What else have you been hiding from us?” Prince steven demanded.
“Nothing you should know of. Now you guys will have to choose amongst yourselves who will rule after me. I don’t have much time left and I do not wish to see Marcus die, I’ll rather die first.” The king concluded and tried standing up. Prince Reagan walked up to him to help him up.
He esc-rted him to his room then and turned to leave.
“I hope you all can forgive you aged father for all his crimes. And Reagan, I want you to consider your mother’s and I request.” The king’s words made prince Reagan to st©p.
“I am not interested father. Have a good rest, I’ll have the guest return back to their home because you are not in the condition to p@rty,” Prince Reagan said while backing his father.
He got to the door and opened it. He stepped out but decided to have one last look at his father but found him still.
Alerted, he ran back to him.
“Your Highness?” He called shaking his arm gently.
“Your Highness!” He half yelled seeing as the old man is no longer breathing.
Prince Reagan felt his pulse and heart beat but found them no more.
“Oh you wicked King. How could you die on your birthday? You have never been a father to any of us. You have always been a king. I thought you were gonna change but you never did. How could you die like this?” Prince Reagan asked while staring at the lifeless b©dy of his father.
He stood and continued staring at him. All sort of emotions kept clouding his head but he blocked them away and continued staring at him.
The door opened about an 1 later and one of the council men walked in.
He examined the king and found him dead.
“Your Highness!” The man threw himself on the king’s b©dy and started crying. It didn’t take long before all the guest inside the palace learnt of the news of the king’s dismiss.
They all kept crying, they continued mourning their king.
Prince Steven walked into tht king’s room to also see his father’s b©dy.
He stood beside Prince Reagan who have not moved from his position ever since.
“Marcus just died. He didn’t make it. And Michael out of anger is currently on his way out of the country. The queen is in her chambers killing herself slowly in regret.”
“Can this day ever get better?” Prince Steven whispered to Prince Reagan while also staring at the lifeless b©dy lying on the be-d.

Pink found the pages in the journal meant for her eyes and re-ad it thor0ûghly. After re-ading it, she un-derstood the things that really happened, but out of curiosity continued re-ading things she wasn’t meant to re-ad and eventually re-ad the whole journal before falling asleep with the journal in her hand.
She f0rç£d her eyes open when she heard the door closing. She slowly sat up on the be-d and wiped her eyes clean of the sleep to see Prince Reagan leaning against the door while staring at her.
The situation confused her a little but she soon c@m£ down from the be-d and walked towards prince Reagan to notice him in tears. Seeing the prince in tears was something she has never seen or even expected to see any day.
“Re..Reagan,” she g@sped out.
“What happened?” She asked reaching for his cheek. She cu-mpped his cheek with her left hand.
Prince Reagan placed his hand on hers that was on his cheek.
“What happened?” She asked again.
“It’s..just…” he sobbe-d. Pink moved closer to him and hvgged him. Prince Reagan rested his head on her shoulder and let his tears flow freely. He has been holding himself back at the palace, pretending that he was gonna be okay but immediately he stepped out of the palace gate, he found himself breaking down.
“It’s okay if you don’t wanna talk now. We can talk about it later,” Pink cooed while patting his back worriedly.
They both stood there for minutes before Pink finally walked them both to the be-d.
“Just lie down, we’ll talk tomorrow.” Pink mumbled adjusting him to slee-ping position on the be-d.
Pink covered him with the duvet and watched as he fell asleep. With her hands on her w@!st, she wondered what made him that way.
*A week later*
“So, I finally found out what really happened while re-ading the king’s journal. Well, it wasn’t really the king’s fault. The whole thing that happened to my family was planned out by the queen.”
“In the king’s journal, he wrote that my mother was a midwife to prince Reagan’s mother. The queen contacted my mother and asked her to make sure the queen dies during her childbirth but my mother bluntly refused saying that she will do no such thing. Of course her refusal c@m£ with a price and that price was her head.”
“She had to die for refusing the queen. So the queen planned the whole Adûlt€rything in an effort to get my father to divorce her so she’ll be left alone but of course my mother alre-ady told my father about what the queen asked her to do so my dad didn’t believe that my mother cheated on him. Seeing this, she planted evil thoughts into the king’s mind ma-king him believe the my mother wanted prince Reagan’s mother dead but the king didn’t believe her.”
“Well, the king was f0rç£d to believe her when the prince Reagan’s mother eventually died during childbirth. They investigated and investigated and eventually concluded my mother was behind everything.”
“The king asked for my mother but my family hid her. The queen s£nt the royal guards to kill the whole family members after also finding out that Derek and I recently bec@m£ friends with prince Reagan. During the cause of everything, they set my family’s house on fire. Of course Derek and I were inside the house with them.”
“The king learnt of the order the queen gave, he s£nt two guards to also rescue both Derek and I since he can’t save the whole family at the time.”
“The guards took us out of the house then injected with a drug that wiped out our memory before s£nding us far away to another country which happens to be America. Well, the king ordered this.”
“And that was how everything happened.”
“So at that time, prince Reagan learnt about the incident from the queen, the queen told him that it was I who set my family’s house on fire and ran away with Derek.” Pink narrated to both Ethan and Lilian. Even Simon was sitted with them but he wasn’t listening.
“Wow! What a story? So the queen can be this cruel to her subjects? She wanted her own sister dead?” Lilian asked in shock.
“I’ll give it to the queen. She’s smart,” Ethan ch!pped in.
“Woah! She destroyed your entire family. What did the prince do about it then?” Lilian asked her.
“The queen title has been taken away from her and she is on house arrest. She will never leave her room until well, she dies and rumors are saying that she will soon give up. Who knows? That will make me happy.” Pink replied.
“So now that everything is cleared. You wanna leave?” Lilian asked.
“Not yet. The prince is still mourning, even if I want to leave. I can’t leave him when he nee-ds me the most, can I?” Lilian f0rç£d a smile.
Lilian chuckled a bit before turning to face Simon.
“Simon, can we talk outside?” Lilian asked while standing to her feet. Simon stood too and they walked outside, since they left the last time they haven’t seen each other until now.
“So, Pink told me a bit of what happened. Prince Reagan knows, he found out himself. Why didn’t you go to him first?” Lilian asked.
Simon sighed.
“I couldn’t. I couldn’t bring myself to tell him that he’s son is mine. It’s ha-rder than I thought and now that he knows he isn’t saying anything about it but I know he is really mad about it. He doesn’t trust me anymore and he might discharge me, my guts is telling me that he will discharge me soon.” Simon said bitterly.
Lilian sighed.
“But you are still a good guy. I didn’t even know it was prince Reagan you were referring to as your friend until Pink told me about it. I’ll advise you to try explaining things to him still. St©p him from imagining all sorts of things,” Lilian advised.
“Thanks for the advice. I nee-ded it a lot. I’ll try and do it once I get back to the house,” Simon said. Lilian smiled.
“Alright big guy.”
