” So there’s no more Man out there to challenge me and you s£nt a woman?” Logan said loudly and everyone laughed.
” Oh no, I think you got it all wrong……this was a mistake… I’m not here to fight you” I replied.
” Amelia, what are you doing?” The chief asked.
” Sorry chief, someone pushed me and I fell right here….. I’m not here for the fight” I replied.
” So you’re not here to fight?” Logan asked.
” Hell no, why would I fight you?……I think our village alre-ady have their champion to bring us glory” I replied.
” It’s Okay Logan, let her go…….Amelia go now I’m sure your father must be waiting for you” chief said.
” Thank you chief” I said smiling then turned to Logan.
” Good luck champion” I replied then made to leave.
” Hold on, you’re Amelia?” Logan asked.
” Yes, why?”
” You’re the one who beat up my cousin” he said.
‘ uhh, not again…… what have I got myself into’
” What are you talking about?…..I don’t know your cousin” I replied.
” You beat him and his friends this morning, all is face is swollen” he replied.
” I don’t know who your cousin is and if he’s among those guys from earlier then it’s their fault”
” They attacked me first and I acted back in self defense and that’s all” I replied then turn to leave.
” You beat up four boys and you called it self defense, I’m coming for you after the competition” he said and I st©pped then turned to him.
” That will be if you’re still alive after the competition” I replied not knowing when the word flew out of my mouth.
” I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say that” I apologised.
” You think I can’t win the contest?”
“No, that’s not what I meant?” I said covering my mouth.
“…..you will be surprised because when I win I’m coming for you because I’ll be rich…..”
“….. Maybe I’ll have your pretty little a** for myself.” He said which cause people to laugh.
” Eeeww, I’m offended that you had to utter such words to me,……”
“……….And what makes you think you will progress to the next stage of the contest because I don’t see you getting anywhere” I replied.
” I’m the best fighter in this village, I don’t see anyone challenging me, I’m definitely going to win this contest” Logan said proudly and everyone cheered.
” Yeah, maybe you’re the best fighter in this village what about other villages”
” You think because you fight this crabs you you believe you stand a chance in the competition”
” Tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk”
” I’d advise that you say your goodbyes to your family and I’m very sure the chief will do well to purchase a very nice coffin for you” I said causing everyone to laugh.
” Your statue will be mounted in the center of the town square as the champion who died for his village” I said which cause another laugher.
” You really want to die lady, how dare you humiliate me in front of all this people, you really have a death wish” he said obviously angry.
” Amelia, you can leave now…. that’s enough, Logan is our champion…..he is the best” the chief said.
” I’m just telling the people the truth chief, maybe he should reconsider as well and forfeit this fight before it’s too late”
“………who know he might live longer to see his children and his children’s children” I replied.
” I’m so going to kill you” he said angrily and charged at me throwing many punches at me.
” Logan” the chief called but he heed not.
I stood my ground dodging all of his advancement without fighting back and I decided to humiliate him a little.
He continue throwing kicks and punches at me but I managed to dodged it all without doing anything.
My plan was to get him frustrated and make him look like a fool before the people which is working perfectly.
” FIGHT ME…..YOU B***H” he shouted which cause me to laugh.
” You’re just too slow, You can ba-rely keep up with me and you want me to fight you?”
” Oh no no no, that will be me taking advantage of a man like you” I said and people roared in laughter.
He charged with an attempt to gr-ab me but I turned swiftly without him tou-ching me then I decided to end this.
” Fight Me, Why Don’t you just fight me back” he said glaring at me.
” Fine now come” I replied then he charged at me with so much anger then I turned dodging his punch.
Then smash him on the head with my leg and he went down immediately and couldn’t stand up.
This stunt make everyone roar more in laughter as Logan find it ha-rd to get back on his feet.
I waited for some seconds hoping he might try to get up but it seems that won’t be happening.
” tsk tsk tsk, What a pity” I said then turned to the chief.
” C’mon chief, this one here will disgrace our village in the contest, you can do alot better than him” I said.
” He’s so lame, Even my grandmother would put up more effort than this disappointment” I replied which cause another laughter.
” Get us someone else……..this man here is pathetic……bye” I said then ran away ignoring the chief calling me.

Some Minutes later I got to the market and decided to act normal in other not to arou-se any suspicion from my father.
” You’re late, did you get it all?” He asked.
” Yes Father” I replied.
” It’s seems the annual fight contest is starting soon because I can hear the cheering noise from afar” he said.
” I believe so, I saw them on my way here” I replied.
” You didn’t stay there did you?” He asked and my eyes bulged out wondering if he knew about the fight.
” I only stay for a minute then left” I lied.
” Has anyone in our village ever won the contest?” I asked and my father laughed.
” I don’t think that’s going to happen because the contest had been for a long time and no one in our village proceed to the next stage”
” Most of the people in our village are farmers and hunters, they are not fighters” he added.
” Have you ever take p@rt in the contest?……. you’re a good fighter” I asked.
” I can’t because I promise your mother that I won’t, those who went for the contest eventually got wounded or killed” he explained.
” I thought they don’t kill in the contest” I said.
” Yes, they don’t unless you decided to challenge the champion of Malmoe, the man is a beast”
” Anyone who challenged him ended up dead or p@rtially alive, he has been champion for over 15 years” he said.
” The king restricted him from fighting in the contest and crowned him the champion of MALMOE” he explained.
” He was given a house in the kingdom and ten thousand of silver as the reward” he added.
” Wow”
” Father, how is the kingdom like?…… I’ve never been there” I asked.
” The kingdom is like every other kingdoms with beauty all over it which differ it ap@rt from the village” he replied.
” How come I’ve never been there, other kids told me about the great things they saw when they went there” I said.
” Of course you will when the time is right besides if you go what are you going for?” he said.
” When you were an infant your mother and I took you there so technically you’ve been there”
” But worry not yourself, maybe one of these days you and I will visit” he replied.
” Okay Father”
I helped my father at the market till the sunset and then we went home.

I was bathing then I started having the usual pain I always have when I’m bathing.
This has been happening for the past 5 years whenever I’m bathing my back will be aching me.
The pain is originating from the birth mark at my back and the pain is intensifying everyday and just like now.
I informed my father about it and he gave me an ointment to apply on it but it did nothing to it.
I hurried up then put on my clothes before going to meet my father.
” Father, the pain at my back is still there…and it’s getting worse” I said when I got to him.
” Remind me this evening, I’m taking you to the healer…… I’m certain he will know what to do” he said.
” Okay Father” I replied.
” Why don’t you start fire to make br……”
He was saying then we saw the chief and two men c@m£ to our door step and my eyes bulged out.
I don’t nee-d a soothsayer to tell me that they c@m£ here for me, probably to report what I did yesterday.
‘ hold on, is the man dead?’

Several thoughts was rushing throu-gh my mind and I looked at my father who seems surprised to see them.
” Chief?……what are you doing here?, You could have s£nt for me” my father said as they entered.
” No, I decided to come to you myself” the chief replied and my father get him something to sit on.
” What brings you here chief?” Father asked.
” It’s about the contest and your daughter” the chief said and I frowned my face.
” Contest?….. My daughter?……..I don’t un-derstand chief, what has my daughter got to do with the contest?” Father asked and the Chief look at me.
” You didn’t tell him?” He said.
” Tell me what?” Father asked then he turned to me while I fixed my eyes to the ground.
” We’ve chos£n Logan as our champion to repres£nt us in the upcoming fight contest” the chief explained.
” And yesterday at the training we realized the big muscle he have is nothing because he was bested by your daughter”
” He didn’t survive one strike of her as-sault which made us realized we will be disgracing our village by s£nding him”
” Which is why I come to ask for your permission to let us s£nd her because we have no one to s£nd” the chief concluded.
” No, I’m not fighting……I never even wanted to fight……..it was a mistake…. I’m not fighting” I replied.
” Amelia, the winner get 100 pieces of silver and some other rewards……you and your father won’t nee-d to work in the market any longer” the chief said.
” Chief, I think you should go now……… I’ll give you my reply in the evening” father said and the chief stood up.
” I hope your answer is positive for all of our sake because the village could get many things if we win” the chief said.
” Think about it” he said then left and my father turned to me.
I pouted myl-ips and draw my ears apologetically and said ” I’m sorry Father, I never planned it”
” I didn’t train you for you to fight around the village, I told you no fighting” he said.
” I’m sorry Father, Ashur and his friends caused it, they wanted to hurt me, I never meant for this to happen” I narrated.
” What do you want me to do now?, What do you want me to tell chief?” He asked.
” I don’t want to fight…….we can just tell him that” I replied.
” If I do that…I’ll be painted as the enemy of the village, that might affect our business” he said.
” I’m sorry Father” I apologized.
” I guess I’ll take your place in the contest” he said which surprised me.
” You’ll be fighting in the arena?” I asked.
” Father, you don’t have to do that…. I’ll fight instead besides this is my mistake, so let me make things right” I said.
” It’s dangerous…….You could get hurt in the contest” he said.
” So could you father, but I’m young and strong…..I’m sure I can handle myself, you trained me well” I replied.
” What about your powers?…..you know very well you still can’t get control of it, what if you use it?”
” This is a contest where you can get angry which might trigger it, I don’t know what the king might do if he knows” father said.
” I won’t trigger it Father, I no longer get angry like before, I’ve been trying to suppress my anger” I replied.
” Are you sure?” He asked.
” Yes Father, I promise I won’t get angry” I said then he looked at me for a while.
” Fine, I’ll meet with the chief this evening and inform him” he said and I smiled.
” Thank you Father” I said then embr@ce him ti-ghtly.
” You should start your training so you won’t get rusty when you get there” he said.
” Okay Father”

{Five Days Later}

Aurora’s POV
.
Tomorrow is the day the fight contest begin, Niklaus and I have been planning it together just as ordered.
It’s more like all of me because I organized most of it and Niklaus is more like a backup for me.
I’m very certain he want nothing to do with this but he wants to look responsible before father and the councilmen.
I expected him to put more effort into this as he’s the heir but he’s been doing a terrible job concerning that.
I can’t report him to father because that will make me bad sister and sometimes all I wanted was to beak some s-en-ses into him.
He has been parading the city since the first day, showcasing himself to people to make them believe he’s responsible.
If only they knew all of that was a plot to look for a beautiful maiden to take to be-d which he did successfully.
Last night I saw him sneaking two ladies into his chamber with the help of the guards.
Sometimes I wanted to challenge him to make him st©p but these ladies aren’t helping in anyway because they seems to enjoy it.
Unlike him, my life is as boring as always, all i wanted and all I’ve been doing all my life was to plea-se my father.
All my life evolved around the palace and I haven’t stepped outside the kingdom, I don’t even have anyone to call friend.
Anytime I try to be friends with anyone they ended up in my brother’s be-d which make me detest them.
I wanted someone with the same mind set with mine, someone I can open up to, and have fun together.
It seems none of that is ever happening because some years later I will be handed over to a stranger as a bride.
Someone I know nothing about or have anything in common with or have any affection for.
Sometimes I just wish I’m an ordinary citizen with freedom to do and act as I wish without being questioned.
Many people thought being royalty is luck or an achievement but it’s not, it’s now I un-derstand the adage that says….
‘ uneasy lies the head that wears a crown’
A person who has great responsibilities, such as a king, is constantly worried and therefore doesn’t sleep soundly.
So also for the members of the royal family, we are meant to be a role model to our subjects.
The way we walk, talk, and dress are all different with others and some other responsibilities.
I Just want to live my life without being monito-red or questioned about how I do my things.
To live that kind of life is not an option and just like today, I just got report from the villages.
It’s a list of contestants repres£nting their village for the fight contest which will take place tomorrow.
I nee-d to give this list to father to put his royal seal on it before it can be approved.
I went to the throne room to meet father and when I got there I saw him and mother with the commander.
The look on their faces was worrying and made me wondered what happened.
At first I thought it could be about Niklaus and the commander’s niece who I saw with Niklaus days ago.
” Aurora, what is that?” Mother asked as she saw the list on my hand.
” It’s the list of the contestants for the competition” I replied.
‘ it nee-d the royal seal on it” I added.
” That will have to wait” father said hastily with only added to my curiosity.
” Father, what’s going on?” I asked.
” Go ahead, commander” father urged on.
” The rebel leader’s name is Bosnak, one of my informant just informed me that the planned to attack the Kingdom” the commander said.
‘ so this is about the rebels’
” They planned to attack the villages and after all the villages has been taken down they intend to come for the kingdom” the commander concluded.
” How many soldiers did he have?” Father asked.
” About a thousand, your Grace” the commander replied.
” That shouldn’t be a problem, we have five times larger than that” father said.
” True my Lord, but all the soldiers are right here in the kingdom,……..”
” But I’m afraid the villages will suffer so much casualties before our soldiers arrive” the commander said.
” Where does Bosnak and his men reside?” Mother asked.
” We know not my Queen, my informant believed he saw them due north, we checked it out but we couldn’t find them” the commander replied.
” Look ha-rder, a thousand men don’t just disappear without a trace” mother said.
” Yes my Queen” he replied.
” Deploy a hundred soldiers to each of the villages and call for reinf0rç£ment if any danger arises” father said.
” Yes, your Grace” he replied then he left.
” What about the competition?……do we put it on hold?” I asked.
*. No, the contest stands” father replied then he pick his royal seal amd stamped it.

Amelia’s POV
.
It’s time for me to leave for the contest in the kingdom which will take place tomorrow.
The chief alre-ady arranged a carriage for me which is leaving for the kingdom.
Some of the youth in the village c@m£ to bade me Goodluck and at a corner I can sp©t Ashur and his friends glaring evilly at me.
I smiled and wave back at them which only made them more angrier then my father c@m£ to me.
” Don’t forget everything I thought you” he said.
” Yes Father”
” Good, it’s Okay to run away when you see a dangerous opponent, I want you back in one piece” father said.
” I un-derstand father” I replied.
” And one last thing, If you win the contest plea-se don’t challenge the champion of Malmoe”
” The man is a beast so plea-se do not challenge him…….do you un-derstand?” Father said.
” Yes Father” I replied.
” Good….. remember, don’t use your powers no matter what” he said.
” I un-derstand father’ I said then he embr@ce me ti-ghtly.
” It’s time now Amelia, the carriage is leaving” the chief said and we dis£ngage.
” Be safe” father said.
” You too Father” I replied then enter inside the carriage.
” May the gods watch over you, my child” the chief said.
” Thank you chief” I replied then the carriage started moving and I waved at them.

This is my first time of leaving the village which is all I ever wanted, all my life has been around the village.

It took about three hours before the carriage arrived at the entrance of the kingdom and I was asked to get down.
I got down and look around the place and smiled, the scenery is exactly as they describe if not more.
” This place is beautiful” I muttered then proceed into the city.
I don’t know exactly where to go but I keep myself busy staring at everything I see around the place.
I don’t have much money with me , else I’d have bought some of the things I saw and like.
Maybe after the contest is over I’ll come back to buy it, I continue moving forward then I heard someone shouting…
” Heyy, my purse”
” That’s my purse…….Thief… Thief”
I saw the lady pointing at a man who is running away towards my position and when he got to my side I hit him on the throat and he fell down.
The man held his n£¢k trying to catch his his breath then I picked up the lady’s purse and the man ran away.
” Thank you so much” the lady said.
” It’s fine, I’m glad I could help” I replied.
” I’m Laura” she introduced.
” Amelia” I replied.
” You’re new here because I’ve never seen you before, I very much recognize every beautiful face I see” she said and I smiled.
” Yes, this is my first time here” I replied.
” Oh wow, are you here for something or someone?” She coyly which made me smile.
” I c@m£ from the village, I’m here for the contest” I replied.
” The contest?….but the contest don’t start until tomorrow, you’re quite early” she said.
” I decided to come early and settle down” I replied.
” I like that, do you have a place to stay?” She asked.
” No, I was hoping I could get a room at the tavern” I replied.
” Come, you can stay at my place” she offered.
” Thank you so much, you’re very kind” I replied happily.
” I’m glad I could help just like you helped me…… c’mon let’s go” she said and I followed her.
On our way to her place we started seeing people gathering around most especially the young ladies.
” He’s coming, let’s go” Laura said.
” Who’s coming?” I asked.
” The prince, Prince Klaus” she said.
” Is he dangerous?……why are you running away?” I asked.
” No, not in that way but if you don’t want to spend the night on his be-d I’d suggest we leave now” she said.
I turned to look at the so called prince and saw him to be exactly a flir-t just as Laura describe-d.
I was about to leave and suddenly our eyes met and he keep staring at me, I averted my gaze and quic-kly follow Laura.
” You’re right, he’s indeed a flir-t” I said to her.
” I told you, he has sle-pt with quarter of the women you saw hovering all around him” she said which got me surprised.
” Every young maiden in the city wants to be with him but he only wants to use them” she said.
” But you’re one of those women” I said.
” Actually I am, I’m attra-cted to him just like everyone else but I don’t want to be a woman he can just sleep with”
” I want it to be permanent and I know that can’t be possible since I don’t have a royal blood” she said.
” Wow, every women are going crazy over the prince…..I can only imagine what will happen if he eventually become the king” I said.
” My dear, If that day come, every husband and father should keep a keen look on their wive and daughter”
” Because they are no longer safe from the Prince adulterous eyes” she added.

Klaus’s POV

I c@m£ out into the city on a horse parading the city like I’ve been doing for some couple of days as prospect to tomorrow’s game.
At first I hate doing this but when I see the advantage in it I bec@m£ compulsively dependent to it.
I see this as an open opportunity for me to look for a beautiful maiden to take home with me.
For the past couple days, there hasn’t been a day without me having someone to warm my be-d at night.
I love being the prince, a caring prince who see to the nee-d of his subjects and make sure they are S-xually satisfied.
The gods has done well to equiped me with such power, strength, stamina and a good equipment to make it successful.
They just won’t st©p coming and I’m complaining either, I’m for no one but for everyone.
When I become the king I’m planning on ma-king int£rç0rs£every man’s right and the women must cons£nt to it.
The law will only be valid to the youth and not the adult because it appears the youth nee-d it more, now than ever.
As long as it’s not between relative anyone can have int£rç0rs£with anyone and if anyone disagree he/she will be punished.
I will make sure my reign is different from others before me, everyone will talk about my reign for a very long time.
All of that won’t be possible not until I become the king, so I just have to wait.
I was waving at the people just like I always do and then my eyes met with an unfamiliar face.
She was tall and beautiful just exactly the way I love them and she even seems different from others.
I was about to ask my guards to get her for me and I couldn’t see her anymore.
” Baja, I just saw a lady just now wearing a leather dress up there, find her now” I said pointing to her direction.
” Yes, My prince” he replied then went to get her.
” She’s the one I want, I must have her tonight”
