Amelia’s POV

” what do you have on your back?” She asked and it was then I remembered that I have a mark on my back.
” It’s a birth mark” I replied.
” Waoh…. that’s an unusual birth mark ……it form a design on your back” she said ru-bbing it.
” uhh, That’s weird” I said when I noticed something strange.
” What’s weird?” She asked.
” Whenever the Mark get in contact with water it cause me pain but now I felt nothing” I said.
” Really? …. what about now?” Aurora said as she pour more water on it but I feel nothing.
” How is this possible?” I asked.
” Maybe I have a magical t©uçh” she said smiling.
” Indeed ” I muttered still wondering.
” Perhaps it’s the will of the gods for us to find each other, this is the first time I’ve ever feel free with anyone” she said and I smiled.
” The feeling is mutual Aurora, you’re my first true friend even though we just met but it doesn’t seem like it” I replied.
” Me too, which is why I want us to be together for a long time, plea-se don’t fight Edgar tomorrow” she said.
” Aurora, I appreciate your concern and it means a lot to me but I have to do this” I said.
” Why?…… for what purpose?…….why are you doing this?…..you clearly have no idea who you’re up against” she said.
” Just believe in me……I believe I can do this” I replied.
” I’m scared…… aren’t you?” she said.
” warrior’s shouldn’t be afraid of anything” I replied.
” Promise me, you will come out alive”
” I promise”

Leo arrived home clearly obviously angry with what happened at the palace and his sister noticed.
” Leo, you’re back……where is she?” Laura asked as Leo got seated.
” I don’t know….. probably with the prince” he replied.
” What are you talking about” Laura asked.
” The prince c@m£ to call her and just like every ladies she went to him without second thought” he said.
” I thought she said she’s not interested in the prince, not you lose both ways today, first the contest and now her” she said.
” plea-se Laura, just st©p alre-ady……I’m going throu-gh alot right now” I replied.
” I’m just reminding you what we miss…….not only will she lose the price money but also get herself killed by challenging Edgar” she said.
” I think I’ll go to my room now, I can’t stand you taunting me anymore with your words” leo said then went to his room.

The arena is crowded with people who are anticipating to see the outcome of the challenge against the great Edgar.
The news about the challenge has spre-ad around the city and villages and people are coming in to watch the fight.
Amelia is still in the princess’s chamber and Aurora helped her get dressed for the fight.
” Are you nervous?” Aurora asked.
” A warrior shouldn’t be especially when about to fight against a dangerous opponent” she replied.
” You’re not a warrior, you’re just a girl not knowing what she’s doing” Aurora and Amelia smiled.
” I get that you’re worried but don’t be…… I’ll be fine” she said and they hvgged and Aurora’s handmaiden entered.
” My princess, it’s time” she said.
” Remember you promised”
” Yes, I remember” Amelia replied and they left.

On their way to the arena they met with Klaus who was also heading over there.
” I see my sister has put you un-der her wings, that must be a lovely thing because I’ve never seen her doing such for anyone” he said.
” Get out of our way Niklaus or I’ll deal with you” she said.
” Rest your mind sister, I c@m£ with an offer” he said.
” Take your offer and go……we are not interested” Aurora replied.
” C’mon sister, let the girl speak for herself” he said.
” I believe your sister alre-ady gave you my answer…… whatever it is you’re offering I’m not interested” Amelia replied.
” Don’t jump into conclusion yet because you don’t know what I’m offering……I can help you from dying”
” I can save your life in the arena today, all you nee-d to do is agree with me and it will be done” he said.
” Get out of our Niklaus” Aurora said as she drag her along.
” You leave now and the offer is no longer on the table” he yelled but they ignored him as they walk away.

” What is he talking about?” Amelia asked.
” Forget him, he will say anything just to get to you….. don’t let his word trouble you” Aurora replied.
As they are going Amelia felt an eye on her and when she turned she saw the Oracle staring at her.
‘ what is wrong with this woman?…… why is she staring at me?’ she thought.
‘ I hope she’s not having any crazy vision or prophesy about me…..what a crazy old woman’
” Are you alright?” Aurora asked.
” Yes, I’m fine….. let’s go”

They got to the arena and Aurora wish her Goodluck before heading to the podium where her parents are.
Amelia was given a sword then she bend down tying her shin guards when Leo c@m£ to meet her.
” Hi Leo” Amelia said.
” Hi” he muttered and Amelia noticed his unhappiness.
” I c@m£ back yesterday and was informed you left alre-ady” she said.
” I have to because I can’t wait any longer…..you seems to be having a quality time with the prince” he said.
” is this what all these is about?….. you’re jealous because I was with the prince” she said smiling.
” I’m not jealous, I’m angry, I’m angry at the prince for using his charm to get you and I’m angry at you for falling for him”
” I thought you and I are building something together, and one snap from the prince you’re alre-ady on his be-d” he said angrily.
” Wow, you’re indeed very angry…. My warrior” she said grinning at him.
” Don’t call me that”
” Calm your mind Leo, just for you to know……I didn’t spend the night with the prince infact I didn’t see his be-d” she said.
” Then where were you……you didn’t come back,….. c’mon don’t lie to me” he said.
” I’m not lying, Yes the prince wanted to sleep with me but I rejected……the princess c@m£ to my rescue”
” So I spent the night at her place” she added.
” You mean the prince didn’t t©uçh you?” He asked.
” No, he didn’t and he never will, not while I’m still alive ” she replied and he hvg her ti-ghtly.
” That’s enough lover boy…..I have to get re-ady for Edgar” she said pu-lling away.
” Do you have to fight him?…..we can just run away” he said and she smiled.
” Really, you want me to elope with you?” She said.
” Yes, let’s get out of this city, let’s leave everything behind and start our life anew” he said.
” Sorry Leo, I can’t……I can’t run away….I don’t run” she replied.
” St©p being stubborn Amelia……this is your life we are talking about, why are you throwing it away” he said.
” I’m not do………” She was about to say when they heard the loud trumpet for the commencement of the fight.
” It’s time Leo……I have to go now” she said turning to leave then Leo pu-ll her back and k!$$£d her.
The k!sslasted for two minutes before they pu-ll away from each other.
” plea-se come back alive” he said.
” I will” she replied then left.

” Citizens of Malmoe, I know for sure you all are anticipating to watch this spectacular fight between these two great warrior’s”
” This two warrior’s had both defy all odds thrown at them, these two shows great strength and courage in the arena”
” And now today these two will face each in a duel to know who really is the true champion of Malmoe and the one chos£n by the gods”
” Citizens of Malmoe, here she come the woman who stood gallantly in the arena defeating men who are twice her size”
” I give to you Amelia of Haida” the official said and the people cheered as Amelia entered the arena holding her sword in her hands.
” And who will be fighting against her, who is strong enough to be a worthy opponent against her”
” There is but one person, the man created by the gods themselves, the man whose sword killed to-re men ap@rt”
” The man who every man who sword seek nothing but the blood of it’s opponent, the man with the strength of a hundred men”
” I give to you Edgar the undefeated champion of Malmoe” the official said and Edgar bounced in.
The arena was silent when he entered, the sound of his feet hitting the ground could be heard as he walked.
Amelia swallowed her spit as she have a proper look of him before her and un-derstand why people are afraid of him.
His stature and composure is like that of a god, he’s tall and broad, even his sword his twice the size of Amelia’s.
” O uhh…..uh……what have I done?” She muttered.
They both bow to the royal family and the official wave the flag for them to begin.
Amelia held ti-ghtly on her sword then she attacked first charging at him.
Edgar stood his ground fighting back and when an opportunity pres£nts itself he gave her a heavy b!ow which s£nt her to the ground.
” Uuuhhhh” the people growled.
She noticed her mouth is bleeding then spit out the blood then stood back up holding her sword.
She calmed herself then attacked him again trying to take him but all to no avail as Edgar fought back.
Amelia tried all her sword skills but Edgar is just no ordinary warrior as he took control of everything.
Another opportunity pres£nts itself and Edgar slash her back with his sword.
” Aaaaaahhhhh” she screamed then fall to the ground.
She winced in pain as she tried to stand back up then she attacked again charging with all her strength.
An opportunity pres£nts itself for her and she was able to slash his che-st which seems to have any effect on him.
He hit her ha-rd with the back of his hand which s£nt her to the ground.
She crawled back up weakly then thought of another plan, before she could conclude her plan Edgar charged at her.
She fought back then kicked him on the leg as the opportunity pres£nts itself then smashed his face with her hand.
As she was about to punch him again Edgar kicked her to the ground, she quic-kly picked her sword and jumped to smash him.
Edgar was quic-k enough to defend with his sword which cause Amelia’s sword to break into pieces.
Edgar stood up and gr@bb£d her by the n£¢k and punched her face thrice before dropping her to the ground.
Amelia was on the ground trying to catch her breath then she started having a familiar feeling.
” Oh no….no no no, don’t….. don’t come out….. don’t come out”
” I can do this…..I can still do this….. don’t come out” she said trying to control herself.
” GET HER ANOTHER SWORD” Edgar shouted and someone went to fetch it.

” Father, you have to st©p this……you alre-ady have your champion….. plea-se st©p this before he kills her” Aurora pleaded.
” No Father, she had her chance to st©p the fight but didn’t……. it’s her choice so this is one her” Klaus countered.
” Niklaus, are you nut?……. what nons-en-se are you spurting out?” Aurora said angrily.
” Niklaus is right Aurora, she had her chance besides this is her decision so we have to see it throu-gh” he said.
” Mother, plea-se do something” she said turning to her mother.
” I wish there’s something I could do for your new friend” the queen replied and Klaus grin evilly at her.

Amelia was able to control herself and she was given another sword then she took a de-ep breath.
She charged at him greatly trying to pin him down but Edgar was skillful enough to turn it around.
An opportunity pres£nts itself and Amelia Slash his which cause him to yell, as he intended to smash her.
Amelia dodged his advance then punch him ha-rd on the face drawing blood then thrû-st her sword into his che-st.
Amelia was surprised that instead of him going down he’s still on his feet like nothing happened.
Before she could react he gave her a heavy b!ow on the face which s£nt her to the ground.
Edgar pu-ll-ed out the sword from his che-st then charged at her , Amelia tried to punch back but she’s too weak as Edgar caught her hand.
He landed so many punches on her face which is now swollen then he stood up and gr@bb£d his sword.
He went to her and place it on her n£¢k then looked up to the royal family for permission.

” Father, plea-se…… don’t let him” Aurora said alre-ady shedding tears.
” Niklaus, Make the judgement” the king said and klaus smiled wi-dely.
” Yes Father” he replied.
” No, Father no…… plea-se don’t”
” Niklaus, plea-se don’t do this……..this is not right” she pleaded.
” She had her chance sister and she nee-d to know the consequences” he replied as he stood up and face them.
He pu-ll out his hand and turned his thumb downward as a go ahead signal for Edgar to finish her.

Immediately Edgar was given the permission he raised the sword up then strike at her but Amelia hold the sword down with her palm.
This c@m£ as a shock to them including Edgar himself and he uses all his strength trying to drive the sword throu-gh her.
Amelia also uses her strength to hold him back then kick the sword off his hand and punch him off.
Amelia stood up then charged at him and they both started fighting with their ba-re hands.
Edgar tried to pu-ll a fast one on her but she was able to catch his hand then punched him continuously on the face.
Edgar got more angry then pick her up the ground then smashed her to the ground and he attem-pted to smash her head with his leg but Amelia quic-kly rolled away.
” Why don’t you just die?” He growled angrily.
” I was about to tell you the same” she replied then Edgar charged at her again with so much anger.
Amelia used his anger against him dodging all his punches then an opportunity pres£nts itself and Amelia gave him a very sharp b!ow on his throat.
This strike cause Edgar to fall to the ground trying to catch his breath then Amelia draw closer to him and punch the hell out of him.
Edgar’s face is now covered in blood but Amelia never st©p punching him then suddenly Edgar caught her hand then headbu-tted her.
Amelia falls to the ground trying to get herself and Edgar stood up and pick up his sword.
Amelia also stood up and pick her sword then charged at him, she jumped up so high and made her strike.
Edgar shielded himself with his sword which cause her sword to break in two, Edgar made to punch her and she caught his hand and stab him on the arm with the broken sword.
Edgar yelled out in pain for the very first time and Amelia pu-ll-ed it out and stab his leg again causing to scream more.
She re-moved the sword again and stab him on his che-st which weaken him more and she went to pick his sword.
She put the sword to his n£¢k and faced the Royal family for permission and a surprise Klaus stood up.
His reaction shows that he’s shocked at the outcome of the fight same with the audience as well as they watched with great intent.
Klaus looked straight at Amelia then he smiled and instead of a kill permission he gave Mercy and the people growled disappointedly.
” Are you crazy?…..you ordered for her death and now you turn the table” Aurora said to him in anger.
” C’mon sister, I’m the one with the wheels here and besides the man is a legend we can’t just let him die like that” he said smiling then he faced the crowd.
” Citizens of Malmoe, it was such an interesting fight between these two great fighter…..”
” they both fought well today and as you know we can only have one champion of Malmoe”
” So I give to you……Amelia of Haida, the new champion of Malmoe” Klaus said and the crowd screamed in rejoice.

Amelia dragged herself weakly off the arena feeling pain from all over her b©dy and Leo went to help her out.
” Are you Okay?” He asked.
” You guys are right….. the man is something else” she said.
” Are you kidding?…. you’re a beast yourself, you just defeated the most dangerous man in Malmoe”
” The man hold the title for ten years and now it falls on you, Amelia the most dangerous person in Malmoe” Leo said.
” Well, for what is worth….. I’m glad I’m still alive” Amelia said.
” You’re right, that was a close call…..you ba-rely made it out alive” he said then Aurora appears.
” Oh thank the gods for hearing my prayers, I’m so happy you made it out alive” Aurora said hvgging her.
” Aah, ahh…careful..” Amelia wince in pain as she t©uçhed her wound.
” Oh sorry, Let’s go to my chamber I’ll have my handmaiden fetch the healer to see to your wound.
” I guess I’ll check on you later” leo said as he re-lease her to Aurora.
” Thank you Leo” she replied and they left.

They got to her chamber and not long after the healer arrived and treated her wounds and left after he was done.
” You scared the living daylight out of me out there, he almost kill you, that was so close” Aurora said.
” I told you I’m coming out alive, there’s nothing to worry about” Amelia replied.
” That’s easy for you to say….what about those that can’t help but worry about you” she said.
” I’m sorry to put you in that situation” Amelia said.
” Just promise me you won’t do some that crazy ever again” she said.
” I promise, besides I don’t plan on challenging anyone anyway” Amelia replied then tried to move.
” Don’t, the healer said you shouldn’t move for some hours for ra-pid healing” Aurora said.
” I’ll be fine…..I just hate lying down like this” she said moving slowly.
” St©p, why are you so stubborn?….just stay where you are” Aurora said and she st©pped then smiled.
” Why do you care for me so much?” Amelia asked.
” Because that’s what friends do even though you’re so stubborn and always ignore warning” Aurora said.
” There’s more to it than that….. it’s more than just friends” she said.
” Maybe it’s because I feel like I found the sister i always wanted in you, and I don’t want to see you get hurt” Aurora replied.
” Then I’m fortunate that I met you Aurora, you have such a pure heart” she replied.
” Rest now to regain your strength, I’ll have my maid fetch you some clothes” Aurora said and she left.

The village chief c@m£ to meet Gaius (Amelia’s father) at his house arranging some things.
” Gaius” the chief called and the he turned.
” Chief….. what bring you here?” He asked as he got to him.
” I brou-ght news about your daughter, Amelia…….she won the contest” the chief announced excitedly.
” Oh that’s a good news” Gaius said smiling.
” Indeed but that’s not all, I heard she challenged the champion of Malmoe” the chief said and he was shocked.
” Whatt!” He shouted.
” I told her not to do that …….I specifically warned her against that” he added.
” That was my exact reaction too when I heard that only for me to hear that she defeated him also” the chief said.
” She did?” Gaius asked.
” Yes…..do you know what that means?, That’s fortune coming your way Gaius” the chief said.
” Still that doesn’t ignored the fact that she disobeyed me and went ahead to fight that man”
” Is she okay?…..how is she?” He asked.
” I heard she was injured but it’s nothing serious to worry about, she’s being taken care of by the Royal healer” the chief replied.
” I nee-d to go and see for myself and give her a piece of my word” Gaius said.
” Just be easy with her, she is a great kid” the chief said.
” I have to see her first” he said then they heard a loud scream from outside.
At first they didn’t take it seriously because it was one person’s scream but then they heard lot of people screaming.
” What’s going on?” The chief said and they went outside to check it out.

They got outside and saw people running out of their house and also saw house burning everywhere.
” What’s happening?” The chief asked one of the men running.
” Here you are chief, we are un-der attacked by the rebels Bosnak…… he and his men are killing everyone”
” Your house is one of the houses burning” the man said and chief was shocked.
” Whaaat……what about my family?…..where are they?” The chief asked.
” I don’t know but I’d advise you not to go back…..they are coming, I have to run now” the man said then ran away.

” We have to run Chief…..they are coming” Gaius said to him and he picked up his sword.
” What about my family?…..I can’t leave without them” the chief said.
” Let’s hope they escape but we have to go now, they are getting closer” he said.
” You should go…..find your daughter, I’m not leaving this village without my family” the chief said then ran off.

Gaius left him and went other way but he c@m£ across seven of Bosnak’s men who surrounded him.
” Forgive me Aya, I have to break my promise to you” he muttered then turned to the men.
Gaius pu-ll-ed out his sword and charged at them, the men keep up coming at him within less minutes he killed them all.
One of Bosnak’s men saw what he did and he screamed for backup and Gaius started running away.
About fifteen of Bosnak’s men are now pursuing him with horse while he’s in foot.
He knew it’s only a matter of time before they caught up with him so he changed course of direction.
He left the free path and pas-s throu-gh the trees which less£n their pace after him.
The men pu-ll-ed out their bow and started shooting arrows at him which he dodged while running.
Two men got close to him and made a strike at him, he rolled on the ground dodging it then strike at the first one then at the other.
Out of nowhere an arrow hit him on the leg which cause him to fell, he quic-kly stood up and manage to keep running.
It got to a point where the ridge is too high for the horse, the men had to get down from the horse and start pushing him on foot.
Soon they caught up with him and charged at him which he fought back and was able to kill seven more.
He got weak and the men got to him and gave him a ha-rd punch on the face which draw blood from his mouth.
” I should kill you right now but I’ll let the boss kill you himself ” one of the men said punching once more.
” Why don’t you just kill me and get it over with” Gaius said spurting out blood.
” That’s the problem I can’t, because you just killed our boss’s nephew and he’ll want to know who did” he said then knock him out.

{Next Day}
{Malmoe Palace}
.
Aurora got up from be-d and went to check on Amelia who was still asleep so she decided to let her be.
She got dressed then went out of her chamber only to see guards moving around the palace.
At first she counted it as nothing but when she got closer to the throne and saw many guards raised curiousity.
She looked outside the palace and saw an army of soldier re-ady for battle with weapons in their hands.
She left and went to the throne room to know what’s going on and when she got their she saw everyone pres£nt including her brother.
” What about the soldiers I s£nt there earlier?” She heard her father asked one of the guards.
” They are all dead your grace, they ruined the village completely leaving dead bodies laying around” the soldier said.
” Gather all the men, they attacked two of my village and I want them all dead” the king said.
” Yes your majesty” the commander replied then went out.
” Father, what’s going on?” Aurora asked.
” There has been an attack in two of the village, Bosnak and his men are behind it killing everyone in the village and as well burning it down” the king replied.
” Oh God, which village is that?” She asked.
” Haida and Meshan” klaus replied.
” Haida?…… isn’t that Amelia’s village?” Aurora said in shock.
” It appears so,….My men are heading there as we speak……they will all be killed” the king replied.
” Oh, I nee-d to inform her……I nee-d to let her know” Aurora said and made to leave.
” Are you sure that’s a good idea?…. she’s still weak and injured” Klaus said.
” she has to know…….her friends and family are there…..her father is there” she said then storm out.
” Poor girl, I feel so sorry for her” the queen said.
” What happened has happened….we just nee-d to make sure it doesn’t happen again” the king replied.

Aurora entered her room and saw her alre-ady up on her feet.
” You’re awake” Aurora said as she entered.
” Yes, I hate just laying there like a cripple man ……I feel much better this morning” Amelia replied then she said her mood.
” Are you alright?” She asked.
” I’m fine” Aurora replied.
” You don’t look fine, is it your brother again?….. plea-se tell me, I know exactly how to deal with him” she said.
” No, it’s not that…… I’m afraid your father might be in danger” Aurora said and she looked confused.
” My father?…….why do you say that?” She asked.
” We just got report that two villages have been attacked and one of them is your village” Aurora said.
” Whaaat” she shouted.
” I c@m£ as I soon as I heard” Aurora said.
” I have to go……I have to find my father” she said trying to put on some clothes.
” Wait, you don’t have to….. My father is s£nding the soldiers over there as we speak” Aurora said.
” I can’t just stay here and do nothing, this is my father we are talking about” Amelia said.
” But you’re still weak and injured….. you’re not strong enough” Aurora said concernedly.
” I’ll be fine but I really have to go Now” she said then head out after getting dressed and Aurora followed her.
” I’m coming with you” Aurora said.
” You can’t, I can’t let you…….I won’t put you in danger” she replied.
” plea-se promise me you’ll come back….. plea-se” Aurora said.
” I promise” she replied then hvgged her ti-ghtly then they dis£ngaged.
” Hey you……fetch her a good and fast horse” Aurora said to one of the guards.
” Yes princess” he replied then Amelia followed him.
” plea-se, be careful”
.
She was given a horse which she mounted immediately and when she was about to ride off she saw Leo.
” I’m sorry Leo but I have to go now” she said.
” I know……I heard about your village, I’m so sorry about that,….let me come with you” Leo said.
” You can’t Leo, this is my fight……I have to do this alone” she said.
” You don’t have to fight the battle alone… Let me come with you” Leo insisted and Amelia think about it and realised she could really use his help.
” Fine, let’s go” Amelia said then Leo also mounted one of the horse and they ride off.
