EPISODE 15♥️

Kimberly POV 😘
We reached the h0tel am hour later. Kaleb and I st©pped talking completely and I felt like hitting myself. I should have just kept my mouth shut.
Why couldn’t I have just lied and made up some stories? I could have lied that I’m a feminist and as such I didn’t like the way he treats other women. I jus had to go and tell him how I really felt about him. Stupid Kimberly!
“You worry too much about everything. St©p thinking and focus on the task at hand” Kaleb said in a cool voice.
“Oh yeah and what’s that” I replied harshly but he didn’t seem to care. He Simply ignored my reaction and spoke like I had said nothing “never let your guard down in front of Trevina. She’s an Incubus too”
Even as the news shocked me I c@m£ to the realization of some of the news I’ve overhead. Both Kaleb and her having a six year long affair, about how impossibly beautiful she was……
“Does she has a connection with Denlian too?” I asked Kaleb who looked taken aback by my question.
He stayed quite for some time as we sat in the un-derground parking space of the h0tel then he nodded “how did you figure it out?”
“You wanted me to get Trevina to work for us before bluebird got to them and you haven’t yet informed Dan about your month long dep@rture” I told him connecting the dot.
“And I’ll like to keep it that way” he said with a Stern look “I don’t Denlian getting involved with her ever again. That all you nee-d to know”.
I nodded crushing my curiosity. Something big must have happened if Kaleb doesn’t want to involve Denlian at all. Kaleb might be the younger brother but at this moment I had a feeling that he was protecting Dan from something that might cause him serious distress. So I promised not to tell Dan, help Kaleb protect his brother.
Wait….
“You said that you’re the crown prince…..but as your elder brother doesn’t that title go to Denlian”. I asked
Kaleb shook his head “it would have if Dan was my full-blooded brother. We both have the same mother but our fathers are different.”
“Oh” I tilted my head to side observing Kaleb. Ap@rt from the hair and eyes they both looked very much alike even though they might disagree to that. “How old is Dan?” I asked knowing fully well that the answers will be in hundreds.
“Two hundred and fifty nine” Kalebl-ips curved up at the corners at my reaction “and incase you’re wondering he’s fifty years older than me”.
“Wow…..” I blinked my eyes and shook my head “I can’t ever imagine a sibling being that old”
“Immortals have lower pregnancy rate” he said opening his door and coming over to open mine “leave your stuff one of the workers will pick it up and have it delivered to our room”
“Our room!”
“Yes. We have separate be-drooms, so you don’t have to worry about it all we share is the living space. I arranged it that way so that every time I nee-d to inform you of something I don’t have to call or walk over to your room”.
It was a good point but to think that Kaleb will be staying so close to me, this was going to be ha-rd to cope with.
“You’re not going to bring any women into our suite, would you?” I asked despite knowing that if not in his room he’ll still be feeding somewhere from someone.
Kaleb gave me a long, narrowed eye look before nodding his head and then he was stri-ding forward towards the elevator, getting re-ady to begin work.
Kaleb’s POV 🔥
Kimberly was a bundle of nerves next to me as we rode up the elevator. She couldn’t st©p fidgeting and her stiffness was ma-king me want to growl. I wouldn’t have cared about it before but now that I had her taste of herl-ips, her ess-en-se in my blood ignoring her was now more difficult than before.
“What is it with you and elevator?”
She jumped startled and lifted her eyes to look at me “it’s not me ,it’s you!” She accused .
“There’s this thing about you that makes me feel overwhelmed whenever I’m in a close space with you”.
I raised an eyebrow at her “Language miss Brown as long as I can remember I’m still your boss”
I saw her eyes wi-den for an instant, until she saw the smile tugging at myl-ips. Then she just huffed and turned to face to other side of the elevator doors and her cheeks puffed up like a sulking child.
Before I got the chance to say anything the doors opened and we stepped out coming to face with a smiling blonde woman with cunning blue eyes that looked from me to kim with open curiosity. Besides her stood a man of Kim’s age, talk , athletic with dark brown hair…….and he was eyeing Kim with a hvge smile on his face.
I looked over at Kim and found out that she too was giving the man a big smile, happiness clearly written in her face. I clenched my hands inside the pocket of my trou-sers. Who was he? How do they know each other?
“Kaleb”……a sickly sweet voice interrupted my thinking “I’m as-suming you haven’t meet my scribt, my secretary, Keith Simons.”
Kimberly head wiped to Melinda as soon as she mentioned scribt. Melinda smile grew even wi-der as she looked at Kim and then back to me, but she didn’t say anything more which I was thankful for.
“Let’s go” I told everyone and began leading the way to our suites until Melinda scribt spoke up and I halted in my track.
“Actually why don’t you guys head out first? I’ll excort Kim back to her room. We have some catching up to do”.
I looked at Kim to see if she would protest, but instead she went to stand by his side and nodded in agreement. I felt myself grit my teeth in irritation but I kept quiet.
“Suite yourselves!” I told them and turned around and started working to the direction of my suite.
I felt Melinda follow beside me and felt her sl!pher hands around mine. This time i didn’t care what she was doing because my mind was in Kim and that boy Kieth, had put his hand on her back just before I’d turned away from them.
Who the fv¢k was he?

EPISODE 16♥️

Kimberly POV 😘
“Kaleb Eustis sure lives up to his reputation, doesn’t he?” Kieth mused as we watched Kaleb and Trevina walk away.
“He’s not that bad just………”
“Cranky?” He asked. “Don’t get defensive over them Kim, they don’t deserve it”
“Why do you say that?” I asked as Kieth led me to the nearest door which happened to be the ground floor restaurant.
“You know who they are and what they feed on, so there’s no nee-d to ask” he deliberately lowered his voice so no one else could hear us. Since the h0tel was yet to be decorated, this was the only restaurant open right now and all the staff members had their meal here.
“I un-derstand that Kieth and I’m not being defensive, I can never accept or un-derstand how they feed, but it’s not like humans don’t butcher animals to get food their plates” I shrugged a little worried that I was sounding like Kaleb.
Kieth shook his head and once we reached an empty table at the back of the room, he helped me into my seat “Let’s not talk about that again, shall we? It’s been ages since we last met and that brief reunion at Trevina office didn’t help. I feel like there’s so much I nee-d to ask you, but I don’t know where to start from”.
“How about we start with how you met Trevina and how you ended up being her scribt” I told him. The last time we met he told me he’d only been back in New York for a year. How long had he been Trevina’s scribt?
Kieth laughed. “It all comes back to them, doesn’t it. Well, I met Trevina back when I was still working at my old company. She was impressed by my ideas and hired me as soon as I was free from my contract. So I’ve only been working with her for a year now, but I’ve become her scribt only recently…….say, two months”. He ordered for us both when a waiter c@m£ to our table.
“So how are you dealing with the whole scribt thing? I heard you got yourself in trouble with Kaleb and his women” Kieth asked as soon as the waiter has left us in pri-vate.
My cheeks coloured in embarras-sment “You heard that. I guess I’m learning something new everyday. But you’re right. As much as the t©pic of supernatural creature intrigue me I think I’ve had enough for a while”.
“See! Now you get my point!” He pointed out
We spent the rest of lunch discussing about our lives and how everything has changed. There was a time I could talk with Kieth for hours and still not get bored but today wasn’t one of those days. For some reason, I wanted to go back to Kaleb as soon as possible. He’d had a strange look in his face when I told him I want to spend some time with Kieth and I found that disturbing.
Or was I just feeling uncomfortable because his very beautiful exgirlfriend of six years had gone along with him?
But then I looked up at Kieth when he asked me about the food and realized I was doing the same thing. Kaleb might have d@t£d Trevina for six years but Kieth and I had d@t£d for three years too.
I stood up suddenly ma-king Keith jump up in surprise.
“Kim?” He asked frowning
“I’m sorry. I forgot something in my bag Andi just nee-d to get it” I said before ma-king a hastily exit leaving my half eaten lunch and a confused looking Kieth behind.
Kaleb POV 🔥
“You look restless” Melinda swirled the wine in her glas-s, the dark red colour matching the shade of herl-ips “wondering what those two are up to?”
I took a sip of the whiskey in my glas-s and looked up from my tablet where I had been re-ading reviews from the company’s official website. “Pardon?”
“Oh, come now Kaleb!” She leaned forward with her elbow placed on one of her knees ex-posing the curves of her brea-sts “we both know you gat a thing for your little scribt…”
She left it at that on purpose. It made me want to laugh. In our world age doesn’t matter much while choosing S-xual or life time p@rtners but that didn’t change the fact that Melinda was a good one and a century older than me. Did she really think that she could get me into this conversation, with her of all people by pla-ying such lame tricks? She had lost those rights the moment she betrayed me and Dan. She’ll pay for her deeds, there’s no doubt about that, but I’ll have to wait for the right opportunity.
“How long are you going to sit here?” I asked getting back to my work “you have exactly one month to get this building into shape”.
“I know that!” Her voice had alre-ady taken an angry edge as she stood up from the sofa and ban-ged her glas-s on the table. “Fine! Be it that way. It’ll be interesting to see the outcome of this little inconvenience”. She turned to take her leave, her h!ps swaying as she walked out the door.
I switched off the table and placed it in the coffee table and then finished off my whiskey. I nee-ded answers from Kim and even though I knew she didn’t have to report everything that goes on in her life to me, I found it annoying that she had kept things from me.
The door slammed opened at an instant and Kimberly walked in quic-kly, closing the door behind her and leaning against it as she got her breath un-der control. It seems like she’d run all the way here.
“What are you doing here?” I asked harshly ” I thought you were catching up with your ex-fiance?”
She winced at my comment “We never got engaged. We were only d@t!ng”.
“For three years” I said. Melinda had been eager to tell me all the details while she was still in the room. I wouldn’t have believed her in this case. Over the centuries Melinda had spoken many lies, but this time she had spoken the truth because she wanted to get a reaction out of me.
I watched as colour crept up her face and her eyes turned ha-rd . “You d@t£d Trevina for six years! And that’s twice the time I’d been with Kieth!”
“You forgot Kim” I stood up from the couch and faced her. “I’m immortal. Six years for me is ha-rd ly two months time in my two hundred years of existence. But for a human with such limited time spending so much time with the same man is a big deal”.
She lowered her head, anger draining from her face “You say it like fidelity is a bad thing”.
“For a human, yes, but for an Incubus……. We still nee-d to feed regardless of our relationsh!pstatus” I left it at that as I walked away from her.
As I closed the door to my room and took off my clothes getting re-ady for a shower, I found myself reminiscing on my words. I was well aware of how different our worlds work and time like this I crave to be human.
