Just like a city courtyard.
The whole of the village courtyard was filled to the brim. Everyone was anxious of what Saga’s allegations were.
?The Saga we know isn’t the troublesome type.
?In fact, he’s one of Banaras loyal citizens.
?Most time people aren’t trustworthy.

Villagers murmured among themselves.

“Decorum please…” The courtyard was silent like that of a graveyard. The village elders, all in white, sat on a long bench opposite the villagers.
At the both side, there are benched too. One each. Preeta sat on the left bench while Saga stood before the right bench.
“On July 27th 2020, an allegation was made against Saga Rajvi of ra-pe attempt by Preeta Reeve. Preeta please explain better.” The village head read out.
The look on the villagers of Banaras speaks shock, including Saga and Amrit.

“As at 25th of Jul, Saga invited me over to his house…” Preeta fed the villagers the same lied she said to the Village councils.
“Saga Rajvi ?”
“I was totally shocked when I received the letter. To be sincere, I dont know Preeta from Adam. She came…” Saga narrated the whole incident.
“But we have a solid proof that backed upped Preeta’s Allegations.” The village head objected.
A laptop ? was brou-ght before the everyone and a disk drive was inse-rted into it.

The first scene shows where Saga served Preeta a fruit drink.
Second scene; Where Preeta pretended she was choked and started coughing profusely.
Third Scene; was where Saga make the first move, trying to mo-lest Preeta before Amrit came into the scene…

From the back view, villagers were creating space. Mehel stepped into the courtyard majestically and walked straight to the Village council elders.

I sm-irks and sat besides Preeta. I’m getting Amrit to myself at all cost.
“Mehel here brou-ght the evidence to clarify our doubt.” The village head. explained. The look on Amrit face send daggers but who cares ??
“I’m his witness. The doctor confirmed I was drugged but how exactly ? It’s still a mystery cause Saga doesn’t live on drugs. I think something is fishy, somewhere.” Amrit defend.
‘Woah ! She’s trying to beat me up but she’s isn’t up to my taste enough since there’s no drugged part in the video cli-p.’
“The video shows Saga was perfectly okay ! Probably, he did that out of his mindset.” I interjected and sm-irks secretly at Amrit. She glared at me in venom.

Why do I suspect Mehel is the cause of this ? I know right from time that he’s a cunning man but to this extent ?
How dare he set Saga up ? I mean, who does that cause of a lady ? Just because I didn’t gave in to his ‘Beast Proposal’ ?

Preeta cut in. “Then why did you invited me to your apartment in the first place.”
“I didn’t invited you. You told me Amrit asked you to come, I make you un-derstand she isn’t around but you insisted that you’ll wait.” Saga yelled at her.
“Enough…” The village head commanded.
“Amrit said earlier that the doctor confirmed Saga was drugged right ?” He continued.
“Yes Village cheif.” I nodded.
“His name ?”
“Dr. Charan sir.”
“The case is adjourned till tomorrow. The same doctor who confirmed Saga was drugged would be invited too.” The village head stood up. “Till then…”

I can’t afford to loose this game. Not now, not ever.
“What about him sir ?” He shivered.
“Tomorrow at the village council, its just for a little interrogation though, when you’re asked…”

I’m still confused. What type of allegation is this ? I don’t even un-derstand anymore.
And Mehel ? I nee-d to confront him. Who does that ?
“I’m in such a mess…” Saga sighed as he ruffled his hair.
“We’re in together, this is so confusing.” I hissed.
“Who on earth could plan to blackmailed me ? For what reason ?” He muttered.
“Who else do you think, huh ? Its Mehel of course, his stare say it all.” I said and he arc his brow at me. “What…?!”
“How sure are you ?”
“Remember he’s Mehel. He wont stop until he achieve his aim, I know of that.” I mumbled and he nodded slowly.
“Yeah, right ?”
“I’m going over to his house now.” I snorts angrily like Mehel is here.
“What ? You can’t, he may try something more dangerous. Remember we’re still in a mess.” Saga cautioned.
“And do I look like I care ?” I rolled my eyeballs at him.
“I don’t just want you to go.”
“I’ll and no one’s stopping me. Not you not anyone…”

Okay ! I’ve eavesdropped enough. Now my guess is confirmed, Mehel set us up.

I barged inside like a mad goat.

“Stop pretending, you fool…” I screamed this time at a very high pitch.
He burn down his smoke? and smi-rked. “You know right ?”
“Answer my question and stop beating around the Bush.” I yelled.
“Keep it low, you aren’t in a war front.” Chander haunts and walked out. All I could afford was a hissed.
“Sit, won’t you ?”
“I’m not sitting. Answer my questions.”
“Yeah. I’ll. I set him up, so ? Its not even a big deal, not like he’ll get killed.” He said and lits? another cigarette? . I’m so going to choke today from excess smoke.

“What do you mean he beat me to it ?” I yelled.
“He override us unaware and shipped the stuff away. He went as far as killing some of your men, I escaped because I’m good at swimming??.” Ryan explained with a heavy sigh.
“What in devil’s name is wrong with Mehel ? How dare him ?” I thun-dered angrily. He’s chewing more more than he can bite.
He’s so gon’ regret his bitc-hy actions soon. I promise on my late dad.

“You’re such a beast. How could you ?” I sobbed and slumped down on the couch.
“And you must comply.” He sm-irks at my figure. I didn’t have the idea he’s already over me.
“I hate you, Mehel. You’re just a beast in a man clothing. Damn you !” I cursed but he care less.
He bent, his face just few inch apart and worse still I could feel his breathe. Somehow, I could transfixed on the sp-ot I am. I couldn’t even move my fingers. Gross ! He’s having a effect on me.

“Get off me…” I whimpered. ‘Amrit, what’s wrong with you ? You should be yelling at him instead of whimpering.’ My subconscious hit me.
“Well…” he crackled and sit beside me.
‘Thank goodness…’
“Its good thing you’re here.” He gave me a short stare and took a smoke from his cigarette.
You’ll be helping me to make it work easier.”
“What is it ?” I whispered slowly.
“You’ll add more to the doctor’s blackmailing, will you ?”
“Huh…? What ? I wont.” I stuttered.
“You can’t right ?”
“I can’t and I wont.” I bluntly refused.
“Then you won’t also mind seeing him being killed too…”

Someone should guess the relationship Anurag and Mehel share. And also, the job they’re in.
