The alpha and the female warrior Episode 3 & 4

#The_Alpha_And_The_Female_Warrior
Chapter 3
Theme : Seeking Permission

It’s been a couple of weeks since the p@rty and I still hadn’t come to a decision. Unfortunately, since then the rumours and gossip have escalated and become incredibly ridiculous.
Apparently, I called Irene ‘fake’ and said that ‘I will destroy her to pieces’. I mean, come on! That doesn’t sound anything like me. Not that Irene would know that…
The more days that went by, the more I wanted to accept the request. Why? Simply because I was curious; curious to see how well Irene can fight. What makes her so unbeatable and worthy enough to be called ‘The White Devil’?
Doesn’t the devil work in nas-ty ways? I definitely wouldn’t want to be called that, although it is quite effective in intimid@t!ngothers.
My attention was completely focused on the YouTube video I put on, I had snacks re-ady on my be-d so I didn’t nee-d to leave my sp©t. Suddenly, my be-droom door was flung open, revea-ling Jay in his grey sweatp@n-ts and a white tee.
“Don’t you know how to knock?” I exclaimed, trying to discreetly hide the family pack of Cheetos.
“Don’t you ever get tired of saying that every time I come in?” He sh0t back, di-ving onto my be-d covers and messing it up even more.
“Don’t even think of hiding that packet of Cheetos! I could smell it’s flavour from a mile away.”
Sighing, I moved to make space for him to l@yand watch videos with me. He made himself comfortable and opened the pack of Cheetos, ma-king me scoff in disbelief.
I bought that with my own money, but he probably hasn’t eaten anything since breakfast so I’m letting it pas-s.
“So how was college today? How did it feel travelling all the way to the campus, just for one lecture?” I laughed, digging my hand into the packet and gr-abbing a handful of Cheetos.
His reply was a glare and an eye roll.
“I didn’t just have to do lectures, our clas-s had to do fittings for our go-wns.”
I frowned at this in confusion. “go-wns?”
He turned his head to face me. “go-wns as in graduation go-wns. I’m graduating in a month, remember?”
Alre-ady?
Wow, I remember his first day at college. I can’t believe three years has pas-sed since then. He’s been studying business, a subject that’ll come in use when he becomes our Alpha.
“It feels like only yesterday you started college.” I said, in trance. “You’ve grown up so much.”
As soon as the words left my mouth, he sl@pped me at the back of head. “You say that as if your older than me!”
ru-bbing the back of my head, I mumble, “I just wanted to say that. Damn, you didn’t have to sl@p me.”
“In two years, you’ll be graduating too. That’s when I’m going to say ‘you’ve grown so much’.” He said, taking the l@pt©p from me.
Before I could protest and take the l@pt©p back from him, he spoke up again. “So are you thinking of accepting Irene’s request?”
I looked at him, surprised by his question. “I don’t know what to do.” I responded honestly.
“A p@rt of me wants to accept the request so that I can settle the rumours once and for all. You know how much I love competition, and I haven’t come across someone worthy of fighting so long. However, there is another p@rt of me that doesn’t want to endanger this pack’s reputation. Not to mention, since there is no peace treaty between theirs and our pack, there is a chance that they may harm our pack members.”
Jay sat up straight, nodding at my reply. “So which p@rt of you is stronger?” He asked seriously.
That was an easy question. I wanted to accept the request, but I also didn’t want to be selfish. I had to think about everyone else, and not just me.
I stayed quiet, contemplating whether I should tell him the truth or not. Thankfully, Jay waited patiently for my answer. Should I tell him how I really feel?
“I really want to accept the request.” I finally said in a low voice. For some reason, I felt horrible for saying it out loud. Am I being selfish?
To my surprise, Jay laughed out loud, ma-king me almost lose my balance. If that was even possible, because I was laying on my be-d.
“I alre-ady knew you felt like that, but I just nee-ded you to say out loud. You should know that I’m totally supporting your decision in accepting the challenge.” He said, cl@pping his hands together in celebr@tion.
I sat up so quic-kly after he said that. “Whoa, whoa. St©p. Hold your horses. I never said I will accept the request.” I said, holding my hands up cautiously.
“But you said you wanted to, so you might as well accept it.” He retorted, shrugging like it was no big deal.
“But the consequences-” I started to say, re-ady to argue.
“fv¢k the consequences. If I go with you, they can’t l@ya f!nger on any of us. Is that what your worried about?” He said seriously, narrowing his eyes at me with concern.
“You’ll come?” I g@sped, staring at him in shock. He’s never come to any of my matches before, not that it’s a big deal if he c@m£ or not. It’s just future alphas don’t really travel around without their parents, Alpha and Luna, for their safety.
“Your parents would never allow that.”
“You never know what they’ll allow, if you’re in the equation.” He replied, wi-nking at me.
“How about the pack’s reputation? Other packs might think we’re petty enough to team up with the most powerful pack just for more money and power.” I said, racking my br@in to find excuses not to go.
Of course I wanted to go, but I had to look at the bigger picture.
“We’ll call up every pack in the country, prior to travelling there, and inform them why we’ll be visiting The BlackShadowed Pack. That way everyone will be reas-sured that we aren’t visiting to team up with them or gain power from them.” He replied quic-kly, looking re-ady to answer any excuse I throw at him.
I sat there quietly, as the excitement started to build up inside me. Would it really be possible to go to that pack and have a match? I’d be lying of I said I wasn’t excited to see what their pack is like.
Not many people have been to their territory, since you’d nee-d permission from both packs to do that. If you trespas-s a pack’s territory, it would be up to them how they would trial that crime.
Our pack, The Imperial Pride Pack, usually asks the trespas-ser their business and reason for trespas-sing before deciding the punishment. I heard trespas-sers of The BlackShadowed Pack are killed immediately, regardless of age, gender and rank.
“It’s no good just convincing me, we also nee-d to convince the Alpha and Luna.” I said, sighing. It seemed like an impossible task, especially since I remember their reaction after the p@rty.
“Good news!” Jay shouted in my ear, ma-king me involuntarily push his face away. “I alre-ady convinced my Mum in siding with us, so she’ll back us up when we talk to Dad.”
I gaped at him in disbelief, ma-king him chuckle. “You’ve convinced Kaitlyn to side with us? Did you really? I thought she’d be the one to say ‘I won’t let you go on a suicide trip!’.”
He shrugged at this, clearly looking proud of himself. “I have my ways.”
“Now the real reason I barged in here and ate your Cheetos, is because Dad is coming home really soon. I nee-ded you admit you want to accept the request, so that you’re re-ady to convince dad to let you go. Since we’ve been talking for a while, his car might pu-ll up in front of the house any second now.”
I stared at Jay in astonishment; he really went this far in ensuring I have the chance to fight someone worthy of competition. He must’ve known how desperate I’ve been for a good fight, since all the matches I’ve been in have been too easy for me.
I haven’t changed my training structure in any way, but strangely, I have been getting stronger every day. I’m still haven’t moved on from the fact that he convinced Kaitlyn to side with us; I can’t believe it.
Just then, I heard a familiar sounding car starting to pu-ll up in front of the house. Jay jumped off the be-d, looking at me mischievously and knowingly.
His timing always amazes me; It’s like he has an accurate internal clock. Taking a de-ep breath and gathering my courage, I jump off my be-d and follow Jay out of my room. I alre-ady heard Magnus’s footsteps on the stairs and opening his office door, as usual.
Jay and I stood outside his office door, silently arguing about who should knock and open the door. We must’ve took too long arguing because next thing we know, Magnus opens the door.
“What brings you kids to my office today?” He asked, raising his eyebrow in amusement.
Of course, he could hear us no matter how low we whispered and he could clearly smell our scents. Although he is Jay’s loving father and the man who lovingly brou-ght me up, he is still our Alpha and is still pretty intimid@t!ng.
Jay spoke up first. “We have something to discuss with you.”
Magnus opened his door even further allowing us to enter his office. After he sat down on his chair, he gestured us to speak.
I spoke up this time; I felt it was unfair to let Jay do all the talking when I’m the one asking for a favour. “It’s about Irene’s request for the match.”
Magnus nodded which encouraged me to speak further. “After much thought and consideration, I decided I want to accept the challenge.”
Magnus sighed at this and said, “You are aware that the cons outweigh the pros, right?”
Jay stepped in after hearing his father say that. “Actually we’ve come up with some strategies that’ll make the whole trip much easier.”
The Alpha still looked unconvinced. “And what, pray tell, are your strategies?”
The door opened before any of us could reply. Without looking back, I knew who it was as Kaitlyn’s scent filled the room. She walked in and stood right behind us.
“Good timing!” I exclaimed in a mind link between us.
“Jayden couldn’t st©p pestering me in our mind link, saying how I can’t back out of a promise. I have so much paperwork to do today, but it’ll have to wait for now.” Kaitlyn sighed, before cutting the telepathic channel.
“Honey, have you heard Elisia’s choice regarding Irene’s match request?” Magnus asked, probably expecting her to side with him.
Haha, not today! I laughed internally, ma-king sure my expression stays serious.
“Yes, I have and I think it would be fine to let her go.” She replied, putting a warm hand on my shoulder.
Leaning into her t©uçh, I felt reas-sured that she’ll stand by my side.
Magnus’s expression went from shocked to confused to frustrated within a matter of seconds. I’m sure he did not expect his wife to go against him regarding something he saw as a dangerous trip.
“I thought, for the safety our pack members who’ll travel with Elisia, Jayden could join them. That way, the likelihood of anything bad happening significantly decreases with his pres£nce.” She continued, crossing her arms together.
Magnus shook his head in disbelief. “Are you suggesting that not only do we s£nd one of our best warriors, but also this pack’s future Alpha? To the BlackShadowed Pack…really?”
Kaitlyn nodded like she didn’t see anything wrong with it. Honestly, I knew every fibre in her b©dy is protesting, but she’s capable of being objective when she nee-ds to be.
“I’ve never travelled outside this pack on my own, Dad. I would be so grateful if you could allow me to join Elisia on this trip.” Jay added, putting his palms together. “As for our pack’s reputation, just a phone call to all the packs and an explanation about our visit would clear things up.”
Magnus looked at Jay, then me and finally Kaitlyn. His eyes softened when they landed on Kaitlyn.
“Do you really think they can handle going?” He asked her.
Kaitlyn’s eyes softened as she replied, “Honey, I know you’re worried about them. But if we looked at this objectively, they’re an unt©uçhable duo. Jayden is the son of an Alpha and Elisia is an incredible warrior. They’ll have pack members accompanying them; our pack members are always willing to l@ytheir lives down for them. I’ll help you call up every Alpha of every pack to tell them the reason for their visit.”
Silence.
The silence was killing me; will he give us the permission to go once and for all?
“Fine, I’ll let that pack know that you’ve accepted the request.” Magnus sighed, turning to his deskt©p computer. “But first, let me just bring up the email they s£nt regarding all the conditions.”
Jay stuck his hand out beside me, ma-king me hi-five him in excitement. I felt so pumped, knowing I have a match coming up.
Not just any match, but a match with a female warrior. A match with someone who everyone thinks is competition, I’m up for a challenge.
“So the conditions were set up by them because they were the ones to request.” Magnus reminded us. Nodding at this, he carried on.
“Firstly, the match must take place on their territory.” He started re-ading off the screen. I shrugged at this condition, I was used to fighting on foreign grounds.
“Secondly, the day of the match will be decided by the Alpha. Thirdly, the match will consist mostly of Mixed Martial Arts and lastly, the period of time that you’ll be staying there is also up to the Alpha.” He finished, looking up from the screen.
“Hold up.” I said, holding my right hand up in confusion. “The period of time I’ll be staying there is undecided?”
“That’s what it sounds like.” Magnus replied, leaning back on his chair. “Are you thinking of backing out of the request?”
I shook my head fiercely, not wanting him to get the wrong idea. “It’s just that the time I stay on someone’s territory was usually up to me, I was just startled by the change.”
“Well, this pack does not work in the same way ours does. Or like any other pack for that matter.” He explained, eyeing me carefully. “The day that you’ll arrive there is up to us, however, so when would you like to go?”
“Next week!” Jay replied before I could even think. I swerved my head to look at him in alarm, which made him reply with a shrug.
“No way! That’s too soon!” I exclaimed, shaking my head.
Jay shrugged again. “You might as well get it over and done with. Isn’t that what you usually say, in situations like this.” He said, wi-nking mischievously.
“Don’t use my own words against me!” I gro-an ed, putting my head in my hand. He had a point though, and I’m also in great shape to fight. “Okay, so maybe you have a point.”
“So?” Kaitlyn asked, still waiting for my answer. I looked up at Magnus who had his f!ngershovering above his keyboard re-ady to type.
“We’ll fly to their territory in a week.” I confirmed, letting out a sharp breath.
Jay jumped from his seat and shouted, “BlackShadowed Pack, here we come!”
I slid off my seat ungracefully before joining him. “Here we come!”
Although I felt quite excited, I couldn’t shake off how worried I also felt.
Like something unexpected and inevitable will happen. I shrugged off that feeling as I made my way back to my room.
Time to prepare to go The BlackShadowed Pack.
———————————————————————————————-
Elisia got permission!! Off she goes to the most dangerous and mysterious pack…
Let’s see what happens there.

Chapter 4
Theme : The Black Shadowed Pack

“You definitely stole my socks!” Jay argued, ma-king me roll my eyes at him.
We just got off a two hour flight, where we were kindly given a flight package that included socks, a toothbrush, toothpaste and a cookie. Since Jay misplaced his socks at the beginning of the flight, he’s adamant that I’ve stolen his.
I had to deal with his whining for a whole two hours. I even begged some of the pack members, who was on the flight with us, to switch seats with me.
None of them were willing to give up their seats, especially if they have to move and sit next to their moody future Alpha.
I’ve been looking forward to this day since last week, when Magnus gave us his permission. It was only when the plane landed, I felt quite nervous.
“I carefully placed my socks in front of me, got up to go the restroom and when I c@m£ back it wasn’t there! Who else would dare to steal my socks, other than you?” Jay questioned, as he walked towards the baggage carou-sel.
I sighed contemplating whether I should reply back or not.
“I told you alre-ady! I didn’t even see your socks, let alone take them!” I sh0t back him as I sp©tted my suitcase on the baggage carou-sel.
The four other pack members also sp©tted their suitcases and picked them up. Yes, that’s right. Four!
Usually, only two pack members travel with me to other packs, but Kaitlyn was very strict about how many were to accompany us. I glanced at Jay, wondering if he has his suitcase.
Just then, he picked up a black suitcase from the carou-sel and made his way towards us.
The four pack members, Jay and I walked throu-gh the airport until we got to the main arrival section. This is where a BlackShadowed pack member is supposed to meet us and take us to their territory.
We walked into the hvge lobby-like area where people were stood waiting with signs, names written on them.
I picked up an unfamiliar scent of a wolf in the crowd of humans, ma-king me tense up. Jay and the rest of us also tensed up as they picked up the scent.
Jay walked in front of us, following the scent which led him to a red-headed man holding a sign that said ‘Jayden Steel’. I noticed that one of his arms was fully tatted up, due to his sleeves being rolled up and was noticeably tall, compared to everyone else.
The man backed up enough to get out of the crowd, which allowed us to manoeuvre our way towards the exit. He obviously picked up on our scents and was sure that we were the pack members visiting.
He curtly nodded his head before walking out the exit with us right on his tail. He didn’t say a word since he saw us, ma-king Jay and I exchange confused looks.
We followed him, pu-lling our suitcases, towards a hvge black jeep. The red-head helped us to put our baggage in the trunk and slid into the driver’s seat. He patiently waited for us to choose our seats and drove off as soon as we become comfortable.
There was silence for quite a while, no one dared to speak because it felt so awkward. I didn’t know what to focus on, so I just stared at the man’s hair. It was a very dark red, not the natural ginger-red colour I’ve seen.
He must’ve dyed his hair, although I’ve not come across many wolf who like to dye their hair. We had been on the highway for about fifteen minutes before the red-headed man decided to speak up.
“My name is Kobi.” He said, looking into the rear-view mirror. I looked at him feeling surprised and couldn’t help what c@m£ out of my mouth next.

“Oh, you speak!” I exclaimed.
I was obviously joking around, but I started to get nervous after realising that he is from The BlackShadowed Pack. Even our pack members visibly stiffened from what I said, ma-king me regret my words even more.
The rumors I’ve heard about this pack makes me think that the pack members they don’t tolerate jokes or sarcasm…
So you can imagine how relieved I was when Kobi started to laugh out loud. “I’m really not a socialable person.” He explained, as he finally drove off the highway. “I’m especially quiet around other wolves outside my pack.”
I nodded at this un-derstandingly, feeling myself relax a little. Jay finally spoke up, after giving off a cold impression to Kobi. Of course, Jay becomes a lot serious and has his guard up around non-pack members.
“What is your rank?” Jay asked, ma-king eye contact with him in the rear-view mirror.
I looked at Kobi to hear his answer. I was also very curious about his rank, since he gave off quite a powerful aura. No where near powerful enough to be an Alpha, or a Beta.
My guess is that he’s a highly ranked warrior or even a Gamma, who is third in command of the pack – right after the Alpha and Beta.
“I am the Gamma of my pack.” He responded confidently, ma-king Jay nod at him.
“We’re on our territory now.” He added, ma-king me look out the window in anticipation.
I hadn’t noticed we were on a long and wi-de road with tall trees surrounded each side. It alre-ady looked beautiful and we were only on a road. If I was to have looked away, I would’ve missed the slight movements in the forest.
Probably the border defence warriors, of course they must’ve been notified of our visit so there’s no nee-d to feel on edge. I tried reas-suring myself this, but the dee-per we drove into their territory, the more on edge I felt.
The large town c@m£ into view as we c@m£ down a hilly road. I leaned forward trying to take in the size of the pack town; it looked hvge! Almost looks like an entire city and I wish I could say I was exaggerating.
I could literally see skyscr@p£rs, but what is the point of having such tall buildings? Kind of an eye so-re but it makes this whole place look legitimate.
“fv¢k… this place is hvge!” Jay exclaimed throu-gh the mind link.
Just as though Kobi knew what we were thinking, he said, “This is just the main Pack town, kind of like the central city of our territory. There are a few other towns just a few miles away.”
I nodded at this, not knowing what to say.
“Just to warn you, you most likely will be receiving shocked and alarmed looks from many pack members today. We aren’t used to having outsiders visit our territory so I hope you un-derstand.” He added, as we entered the heart of the pack town.
“That’s fine.” Jay replied, looking out the window with a frown.
Confused by his frown, I also looked out the window to see a crowd of people following this jeep. Damn, they really must be surprised by our pres£nce. I alre-ady knew that not many people have visited this pack in decades.
Looking away from the window, I settled my gaze on Kobi’s hair again. I really wanted to ask about his dark red hair, for some reason. I’ve never come across a wolf that dyed his hair before, so I’m guessing it’s a BlackShadowed thing…maybe?
“Do you think he’s dyes his hair?” I asked throu-gh the mind link.
“Of course he does! There is only three natural hair colours; brunette, blond and ginger. I’ve never seen such a dark red hair colour on any wolf or human for that matter.” One of the pack members exclaimed.
“Do you dye your hair?” Jay straight up asked, ma-king me gape at him in disbelief. Well, I guess that’s one way to relieve my curiosity.
Kobi glanced into the rear-view mirror looking amused by his question. “I was wondering when you’d ask me about my hair. It’s usually the first thing people notice about me.”
I shrugged at this and said, “Well, it is an unusual colour.”
“But very cool, might I add.” One of our pack members piped up in the back.
“To answer your question, no. I have never dyed my hair.” Kobi said solemnly. “It’s a genetic mutation my family has pas-sed down to me, so I’ve had this hair colour since I was born.”
“Wow, that’s so interesting. Quite a nice a genetic mutation, if you ask me.” I muttered, finding his explanation interesting.
“I think so too. If you ever have the chance to see me in my wolf form, you’ll be able to sp©t me straight away.” He added, chuckling.
“Why?”
“I have a red streak along the fur on my back. I’m very easy to sp©t in the sea of wolves.”
Just as he said that, we slowed down in front of a hvge golden gate with four guards. Two of them walked towards our vehicle and inspected each of us before opening up the heavy gates.
Kobi drove forward into the long driveway that led up to what looked like a palace. I mean, the Alpha House is traditionally built to look very extravagant.
However, this Alpha House looked like it has been well thought out with its pearly fountain displ@yin front of the house and the creamy steps to the front door seemed to glisten in the sunlight. The entire building was a pearly white/cream colours with golden accents on every window.
“So I’m guessing this is the Alpha House then?” I asked chuckling, as I got out of the jeep.
“Yes, although we call it the Alpha Manor. This is where the Alpha lives, as well as the Beta, Beta Female, the Gamma and some highly ranked warriors. Is it the same at your pack?” Kobi asked, walking towards the large front door.
Nodding, I replied with, “Yup, the exact same actually.”
The Alpha House is purposely built to fit a number of important people, so they always have a ridiculous amount of rooms. We all reached the front door where Kobi hesitates with his hand on the knob.
We stood there, awkwardly with our luggage in our hands, waiting for him to open the door. He turned around with a sheepish expression.
“So the Beta just informed me that the Alpha is in another one of his pack town at the moment. So he will not be able to meet you, but the Beta and Beta female is happy to get you settled in.” He explained as he opened the front door to the house.
The Alpha’s abs£nce made Jay frown disapprovingly, but chose to keep quiet.
We walked into the reception of the Alpha House, not surprised at how it looks as extravagant as the outside.
I smelt…cinnamon and chocolate.
Was someone baking around here? How did they know I love cinnamon and chocolate? It’s my favourite combo of flavours. It smells so strong, but I love it. It smells add!çting and overwhelming; where is it coming from?
I was about ask about the delicious smell before my ears perked up at the sound of people coming down the stairs.
Looking up, I saw a male and female holding hands as they walked down the stairs. They both had hvge welcoming smiles on their faces which made me smile in relief. So far everyone has given me a good first impression…except their Alpha who couldn’t be bothered to greet his visitors.
It’s basic etiquette for the Alpha to make time for his visitors and help them settle in. But I’m sure he had to deal with something important, to not be able to make it on time for our arrival.
The male and female made their way towards us and greeted us. “Hello, welcome to The BlackShadowed Pack.” The male said, shaking our hands. “My name is Julian and I’m the Beta of this pack.”
The female stepped forward, beaming from ear to ear. “My name is Leona, and I’m the Beta female of this pack. It’s nice to meet you all.” She said, as she shook our hands too. She paused when she got to me and shook my hand excitedly. “I can’t believe I’m finally meeting you. I’ve heard so much about you, and I think you’re amazing.”
I laughed at her excitement, as I shook her hand gratefully. “It’s nice to meet you too.” She seemed so nice and bubbly, we could get along quite well.
“Okay, let’s get you to your rooms! You must be tired from all that travelling.” She exclaimed, cl@pping her hands together. “It’s a good thing you each only have one suitcase to carry. Follow me!”
She started walking up the stairs in hurry, ma-king us all follow. We only went up one flight of stairs when we entered another lobby-like area. My s-en-ses were going crazy over the delicious cinnamon and chocolate smell.
“Okay, so let me explain how the Alpha Manor is set up.” She said, standing in the middle of the lobby.
She pointed to her right and said, “These corridors will lead you to the East Wing, where you’ll all be staying.”
She then pointed straight ahead and said, “These corridors will lead you to the North Wing, where you’ll find the Alpha. I suggest you don’t go anywhere near there, not if you want to get into trouble.” This made Julian and Kobi laugh, before she moved on.
“The West Wing is where you’ll find Julian, me and Kobi. You can visit whenever you like.” She carried on, pointing to her left.
“Except in the early mornings…plea-se don’t wake me up.” Julian said, ma-king us all laugh. “I’m really moody in the mornings; you don’t want to see me moody, trust me.”
“Looks like we’ll get on just fine.” Jay spoke up for the first time, chuckling. “So what about the South Wing?”
“That’s where some of the warriors stay in. They live in, for extra security.” Julian explained, smiling at Jay.
Oh, I think I s-en-se I little br0m@nç£. They seem like they’ll get along just fine, which is great.
“Okay, so East Wing is where we’ll be staying, stay clear of the big bad wolf in the North Wing, West Wing is where you guys are staying and South Wing is where the warriors are.” I said, clarifying everything that was said.
They all nodded, laughing at my choice of words. We all decided to meet up downstairs in thirty minutes to have something to eat.
After a lot of bickering, we finally chose our rooms and unpacked as much as we could. Jay gave up packing after ten minutes and c@m£ to my room to explore.
“Whenever you want to say something that you may think is inappropriate to say here, just say it in the mind link.”
He said in the mind link.
“What inappropriate thing could I possibly want to say here?” I replied, rolling my eyes.
“Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the fact that the Alpha couldn’t greet us on our first day here? The disrespect!” He complained, lying on my be-d.
“You know you have your own be-d to l@yon, right?” I asked out loud, trying to push him off. “Get off, you’re sitting on the clothes I want to put on.”
“You’re changing your clothes?” He questioned, rolling off the be-d.
“Yes, because I feel like it. Besides you changed your clothes, why can’t I?” I replied back, as I started to change.
Changing in front of each other isn’t a big a deal as many would think. Especially as wolfs, you get used to changing in front of others, because you nee-d to take off your clothes to shift anyway.
After I changed into much comfier clothes, we decided to make our way down to the ground floor of the house. It’s alre-ady been twenty five minutes since we arrived, and I couldn’t wait to eat.
At the end of the stairs, Kobi stood with his phone in his hands and pla-ying what looked like piano tiles. I was once obsessed with that game, I internally smiled as we reached him.
“Julian and Leona are in the kitchen. I think they want to order pizza.” He said, not taking his eyes off the screen. “Just follow their voices, and you’ll find the kitchen.”
Jay and I chuckled at his pas-sion to do well in the game and made our way to kitchen. Funnily enough, we easily found the kitchen by following their voices.
Leona had the pizza menu, while Julian had his phone in one hand. Two out of the four of our pack members were alre-ady there, sitting at the dining table watching the Beta and Beta female chase each other around the kitchen.
“I want to order this time!” Leona exclaimed, waving the pizza menu. Julian dived for the menu but failed as Leona jumped onto the kitchen deskt©p.
“You always over-order, complain about how you can’t finish it, cry of happiness when you realise you can eat it for breakfast and then cry of guilt because you had an unhealthy breakfast. I’m trying to save you all that trouble!” Julian sighed, trying to convince her.
“That wont happen this time, because there is six extra people to help me eat.” Leona sh0t back, proud of her comeback. Julian looked at her, deadpanned at her answer before shrugging.
“Alright babe, go ahead. Go ham!” He backed down, throwing her the phone.
She caught it effortlessly before jumping off the kitchen deskt©p.
“So what you like to order?” She asked, obviously happy that she can order. We mind-linked the other two pack members to find out what they wanted and told her what we all wanted. After ordering, we made our way to the living room to look for a good movie to watch.
I couldn’t believe how easy to was to get along with them. I learnt that Kobi is add!çted to his phone and ha-rd ly speaks, except for those times where he says an unexpected joke.
Julian and Leona are probably the funniest pair I’ve ever come across. When I remember, I should ask them how they met. I love hearing stories of how mates find each other.
The smell of this house, however, had been bothering me since we c@m£ in. The mouth-watering smell of cinnamon and chocolate. Judging by how the kitchen looked, I don’t think anyone was baking when we arrived.
“Why does this house smell like cinnamon and chocolate?” I asked, straightening myself up on the sofa.
Julian and Leona were in front of the T.V, fl!çk!ng throu-gh the collection of DVDS. They looked up in surprise and confusion.
“It smells good and strong. Is it a candle?” I asked, really curious. I would buy the candle in a heartbeat; the scent is to die for.
“I usually light candles around the house, but I don’t think I’ve ever use a cinnamon or chocolate candle before.” Leona asked, looking confused. “The one that’s burning right now is a lotus scent, which smells flowery.”
Jay looked at me with a confused expression. “It smells nothing like cinnamon and chocolate in here.”
I looked at them both, feeling confused. Were they being serious? The smell is so overwhelming and strong.
Instead of telling them that, I said, “Oh, my bad.”
