Chapter 13

TESSA
I walk into the clas-s with a sad face but because of the cheer from the students, I replace it with a smile immediately.
I wouldn’t want anyone to start asking me what happened because I’m not in a right State of mind to answer that.
I cried so much last night because seeing dad again brou-ght back memories. Memories I don want to remember. They’ve been hurting me since I was little.

Lecture started and everyone tried to remain focus on what the maths teacher was solving. Maths is really easy if you put in your effort.
I wasn’t in my right frame of mind so I couldn’t gr-ab anything the teacher was saying. I was so lost that I didn’t know when the teacher was calling me.
“Ms Davis why are you lost in my clas-s huh” Mr Steve said.
“Em…mm..I…I…” I was speechless. I didn’t know what to say but I have to say something.
“Mr Steve, maybe she’s facing some challenges at home so you can’t blame her. After all she has always been listening to your teachings in clas-s. Just because she is lost today doesn’t mean she’s a bad student” I heard Jay speak.
OMG!!! did Jay just speak for me? or I’m dreaming right. Of course I’m not dreaming, Jay spoke for me.
“Ms Davis you may sit but try to listen next time” Mr Steve said and I nod.
Before sitting down, I turn to look at Jay and I caught him staring at me. I smile at him and he sm-irk. I hold my mouth and sat down.
I smile and turn to the teacher. Jay spoke for me, he really did. My eyes mistakenly ran into that of Kimberly and the deadly stare I receive could raise down a building.
Well Kimberly can stare for all I care. I don’t give a damn about it. All I care about is this new changes with Jay. Gosh I still can’t believe Jay of all people spoke for me.
This is a good news and a good step. I’ll make sure I don’t act clingy on Jay so he can like me so fast and I hope it works.
DURING LUNCH BREAK
JAYDEN
“Jay was what the meaning of that thing you did in clas-s today huh” Kim said as we walk throu-gh the hallway heading for the cafeteria
“What thing are you talking about huh” I ask
“Oh st©p trying to act like you don’t know what I’m talking about Jay. Why would you defend Tessa in clas-s” she yell that the student pas-sing by st©p to watch us
“St©p yelling Kim, people are watching” I said calmly
“Jay what’s going on huh, Jay I love you okay” she said
“And who said I’ve st©p loving you. You’re just acting insecure” I said
“Jay common let’s go to the music clas-s now plea-se” she said and I alre-ady know why she said that.
“I’m sorry Kim but I can’t follow you to that clas-s because I’m so hungry” I said
“Jay you know why I told you to follow there right! So why do you disagree to follow me when you’ve always want us to go there” she ask
“Well Kim not all days are the same okay. I just don’t feel like going there for now. If you don’t mind, I want to go gr-ab some food. You can come along if you want” I said and walk away and she has no choice but to come along.
TESSA
“Calm down girl, wow maybe your aunt is still a bit nice don’t you think” I said looking at Sonia’s new phone.
“I was really surprised Tes. I can’t believe it you know and you know what” she said
“What !” I ask
“Take and type in your digit” she said handing me her phone.
“Of course I will do just that ” I said smiling as I collect her phone.
“Hi can I join you girls plea-se” I heard Alex voice.
“Why not” Sonia said smiling at him
“So hi ladies” he said
“Hi Alex” I said to him
“So can I borrow your friend during this lunch break?” he ask and I look at smiling Sonia.
“Sure you can” I said looking at the both of them. I smell something between them.
“Make sure to tell me what’s going on between you two”I whisper to Sonia before she smile and left with Alex. Well I like the fact that my friend is happy.
So now I’m bored again and I just have to start thinking about what happened yesterday.
“Hi Tessa” I heard Jay’s voice in my head or have I start hearing strange things?
What’s Jay doing at my table during lunch break ???
Chapter 14
SONIA
We walk to the school garden and he made me sit down.
“So Sonia, why are you so beautiful?” he ask
“I don’t get you Alex” I said looking really confuse and nervous at the same time.
“You’re pretty Sonia and that’s why I can’t get my mind off you” he said
“Alex what are you saying” I said with my heart beating so fast.
“;I really love you Sonia. Since the first day I met you in this school, I haven’t been myself. I was so glad that Mrs Wilson paired us together because this few days I’ve spent with you have been the best days of my life” he said ma-king me speechless.
plea-se someone should come fan me right now cause the heat in me right now is just too much.
“plea-se be my girlfriend” he said and I turn to stare at him in shock. What did Alex just say? I should be his girlfriend.
Like his real girlfriend. No no no I’m dreaming right!. Gosh no doubt that I’m having feelings for him too but isn’t it too fast.
I can’t just give him a reply right away so he won’t think I’ve been having feelings for him too.
“plea-se say someone Sonia” he said and I look at his eyes. They held a lot of love for me. Gosh!
“I…I..I wi…ll get back to you” I stammered and rush my
words together. I look at him saw that he was confuse.
“I’ll think about it Alex” I said it very well this time but I was really shaking inside. I can’t wait to tell Sonia about this
“If you say so but just know that I love you and wouldn’t want to loose you because I’ve left my past life because of you” he said and I wanted to ask about his past life but restricted myself.
TESSA
“Jay what are you doing at my table? You’ve a girlfriend” I said looking around the cafeteria to see students staring at us
“I just want to sit with my p@rtner in chemistry that’s all” he said and I tried to hold my laughter
“Jay students are staring, what do you want Kim to think of me” I said
“Well students can stare and Kimberly can think all she want to think. I don’t care” he said
“Jay I don’t get you” I said
“What don’t you get Tes ” he ask
“plea-se leave before Kim comes here and do something drastic” I said
“She’ll do no sure thing okay” he said
HARMONY
I walk into the clas-s. There was no one in there so I quic-kly did what I have to do. I know Kim will leave her phone in clas-s.
She never takes it when it’s lunch break. I quic-kly text Jay with her phone. I delete the message and left the clas-s immediately after keeping her phone right in her bag.
Well in case you don’t know, Ken works for me. Kim is just an idiot in trusting him. I’ll make sure Kim leave this school in shame.
JAYDEN
Wow talking with Tessa is really amazing. I’ve never had an heart talk with Kim before. All we do is S-x k!ssand S-x.
“Jay you’re weird” she said laughing so ha-rd after telling her my encounter with a big as-s lady at the mall some months back.

“You shouldn’t have done that okay. You should have just walk away because you know that you aren’t a j£rk or are you?” she said
“Common I’m not” I said laughing
“You look so cute when laughing” she said
“Thank you but I know that I’m always cute” I said
“Of course you’re cute but you look more cuter when laughing” she said
“You’re funny Tes and you look so pretty too” I said and I caught her blu-shing. I can’t believe I’m having a talk with Tessa the nerd. It’s weird isn’t it?
“Thanks ” she said and I felt my phone vibr@te in my pocket.
“Excuse me a little” I said and check my phone. I saw a message from Kimberly. I open it and it re-ads
*We nee-d to talk. Meet me at my place after school hours*
Don’t tell me she’s angry because I’m chatting with Tessa….
Chapter 15
TESSA
I walk into the house looking so sad that I didn’t get to study with Jay today. He said he was going to somewhere important. I wonder where that important place is though.
I walk into the house to see Dad seated in the living room with his head resting on his palm. He raise up his head when he knew that someone just entered.
“You’re back” he said smiling
“What are you doing here dad” I ask and he sigh smiling
“At least you still acknowledge the fact that I’m still your dad” he said
“I say what are you doing here” I yell
“Calm down plea-se Tes. I can explain okay plea-se” he said
“You don’t nee-d to explain anything just get out and never come back into our lives” I said as a drop of tears fall from my eye
“plea-se forgive me Tessa. If you and your mum are both mad at me, what would you guys want me to do” he ask
“Dad do you have a hint of what we went throu-gh because of you? you left without caring about our well being. So what happened to your rich wife huh” I yell
“plea-se I’ll explain all that happened to you Tessa. Don’t just be mad at me. I still love you and your mum” he said
“Start talking” I yell
“It all started five years after I got married to your mum. I found out that I’ve fallen out of love with your mum. I wasn’t plea-sed with anything she did. Everything about her irritated me but I pretended to still love her because she was a nice woman.
It continued that way till the day you turned 14 and I couldn’t continue pretending so I started showing her the worst p@rt of me.
I made sure I did everything to make sure your mother leaves the house and file for a divorce but your mum never did.
I continue that way till I met Clara. Clara was a widow but she was very wealthy. I made sure I did all I can to get her and I did.
She was so nice and fun to be with and I forgot I had a wife at home. I ask her out and she agreed. After two months of her being my fiancee, we did a simple court wedding and I move in with her
But living with her, I got to discover that she was only using me to satisfy her S-xual urges. I was nothing to her because I was like an errand boy who gets to t©uçh her only when she’s hor-ny.
When I couldn’t take it anymore, I had to leave. I then realized that we should value what we have before we loose them to someone else.
I’ve been crying Tessa so plea-se forgive me because I now realize my mistakes. I was carried away by lvst plea-se Tes” he said and but now, my face was full with my tears.
Right now, I don’t know what to say….
JAYDEN
I drove into Kim’s compound. I wonder what’s so important that I have to come to her house before she could spill it out.
I really wish I was with Tessa right now. I don’t even know what’s wrong with me. I just see myself wanting to be with her all the time.
Well it’s just a normal feeling when you get a new friend right.
I c@m£ down from the car and walk into Kim’s house. Her parents are ba-rely around. That’s why she’s always free to do anything she likes.
The sitting room looks so scattered and I don’t un-derstand why Kim would leave it this way. I pick up the clothes and was heading to her room.
I started hearing laughter as I got closer to the room. It was Kim’s voice and someone else. I place my ear closer to the door so I could hear it very well and the voice look familiar.
I try to remember where I’ve heard the voice and I bec@m£ angry when I figure out that it was that son of a bit-ch – Kenny.
I was about opening the door out of my anger when I heard Kim’s voice saying
” Common Ken you know it’s you I love okay” . What the hell, is Kim really saying that or what? I bec@m£ interested in what they were saying and decided to listen.
“What about Jay huh” Ken ask
“Jay is just my S-x buddy. Nothing more” she said
“Wow babe really” Ken ask
“Yes Ken but I don’t want to loose him so that I can make Harmony jealous the more” Kim said
“Yeah after setting her up using me. ma-king Jay believe that she’s a slut who has been wanting to have S-x with me” he said and I couldn’t believe my ears.
So Harmony was right, it was all a set up. I was such a fool to have believed Kim.
“Serves her right. She c@m£ to take Jay from me but I didn’t all that so I had to react” Kim said
” Let’s get down to another round baby I’m fully erected right now” Ken said
“I’m all yours” she said and I couldn’t take it anymore. I batch into the room.
Both of seems shock to see me but Kim was more shocked.
“What are you doing here Jay” she ask in shock
” Have a nice time with him and don’t ever come to me again” I said, drop the clothes and walk away…
Chapter 16 & 17
#TWO_DAYS_LATER
HARMONY
Kimberly walk up to me looking really angry. I wonder what’s ma-king her angry because I wasn’t there when she was expo-sed. Kenny really did a great job though.
Well Kenny told me all that happened and also gave me a video cl!pof he and Kim having S-x. I edited it ma-king Kenny’s face blur and Kim’s face very visible.
It’s going to be a b!ow to her face by the time I’m done with her. She thinks she’s smart huh. Well let’s see who’s smarter.
“Harmony, what have you done huh” she said immediately she got closer
“And what the hell are you talking about Kim” I yell at her
“You think I won’t find out that you’re working with Ken huh” she said
“And so what” I said laughing inside because actually I told Ken to tell her that.
“Just so yoou know, Jay will still be mine we’re meant for each other” she said proudly
“Well bit-ch keep dreaming” I said
“I’m gonna make sure you pay for what you did to me Kim and trust me, you’ll leave this school in shame” I added
“What exactly can a dumb skull like you do huh” she ask
“We shall see to that Kim. Just watch out and receive the biggest b!ow of your life” I said and walk away
TESSA
“St….op..Jay…yyy” I said in between laughter as Jay kept twi-nkling me.
“Say I’m the boss now” he said still twi-nkling me. The laugh was getting too much and I had no choice
“Yo..you…are…th…the..bosssss” I said in between laughter
We were only choosing who will be the leader among us tomorrow and it has to result to this because both of us want to be the leader.
“Good now let’s go back to our studying” he said smiling and that was when I st©p laughing.
“Gosh Jay, you wanted to kill me” I ask and sp@ñk his shoulder
“What Tes st©p that before we go into another round of pla-ying and forget what we’re here for” he said
“Yeah we should concentrate” I said taking a book and started looking at it and he laugh and I had no choice but to join him
“Why are you laughing Jay, what’s funny” I ask
“You turn the book upside-down and someone will think that you’re a serious student” he said laughing and I join him. Gosh I didn’t know that I turn the book upside-down, considering the fact that I really didn’t want to re-ad again. This is so embarras-sing.
“It’s okay Jay, let’s just study and come out the best. Tomorrow is the pres£ntation” I said to cover up for what I just did.
“Common Tes, I’m tired. we’ve been studying for the past six days. Don’t you think we should have fun today huh” he said
“Common Jay we’ve only study for four days. In the first and second day, you avoided me like I’m some $h!t, saying that you don’t want to be affected by my nerdness” I said
“Really I said that ” he ask
“Of course you did. You really insulted me that I have to start liking fashion to avoid anymore insult from the students as well” I said feeling hurt
“I’m sorry for the way I made you feel back then when you were still a nerd okay but I don’t feel sorry for insulting you” he said
“Why don’t you feel sorry huh. You hurt my feeling back then” I said
“Yeah I know okay but I’m not sorry that I insulted you because that was what prompted you to start liking fashion don’t you see” he said and I think he has a point there.
“Well thanks for ma-king me love fashion” I said
“Yeah you’re welcome” he said staring at me and I had to avoid eye contact with him but who am I kidding, my eyes always ran into his
“Why are you staring Jay, you’ve been staring for long” I said
“Tes you’re so beautiful” he said
“Thanks ” I said blu-shing
“Do you have a d@t£ to prom?” he ask
Why is he asking me that question? Does he want to be my d@t£ ?
“No” I said
“Alright” he said
Just alright ? I thought he wants to make me his d@t£? Gosh! Am I not S-xy or pretty enough??
JAYDEN
I don’t know how I’m feeling right now. Being with Tessa these days has really being fun. I gets happy each time I see her.
I’ve never felt this way with any girl before. I really love this feeling and I don’t want it to end.
I’m really happy to know that she doesn’t have a d@t£ to prom. ma-king her my d@t£ won’t be a bad thing right.
I look at her again and I couldn’t believe I’ve been neglecting this beauty. I’ve been wasting my time with Kim and I didn’t know.
Well I’m still happy I found out the truth…

TESSA
I got dressed looking so happy that our pres£ntation is today. I know that we’re re-ady for the pres£ntation because we red really ha-rd for this day.
I quic-kly apply a light make up and pack my hair in a bun leaving two string to fall. I carried my backpack and my phone before walking out of the room.
I walk downstairs to see that dad was setting the table. Well I had no choice but to forgive dad because he really showed that he was sorry.
We’re only waiting for mum to come and forgive him so our family can be complete.
“Good morning Dad” I said before taking a seat
“Morning princess, how was your night” he ask
“It was fine dad” I said and started eating
“Wow dad this is so delicious,what fast food restaurant did you buy it from” I said
“Well I didn’t buy it dear, I made it myself” he said
“Gosh dad you’re the best cook in the whole wi-de world” I said and we laugh together
“Thanks princess” he said
“Can I ask for a favor dad?” I said
“Go on and ask princess” he said
“Can you teach me how to cook and drive?” I ask
“Why not princess. I’ll start teaching you whenever you’re chanced” he said
“Wow dad thanks. You’re the best dad ever” I said
“I just pray your mum forgives me” he said bowing his head
“Don’t worry dad, I believe she would forgive you if she’s still in love with you” I said
“I hope so princess. Alright eat up so you won’t be late to school” he said brightening up the moment
“Alright dad” I said and continue eating.

All the final year student were alre-ady in the hall with their p@rtners. Some were science,art or social science students.
I thought it was only science students that were given the project not until today. I was sitting with Jay because he was my p@rtner.
The judges were alre-ady on their seat preparing to start scoring each pairs.
“Alright everyone should keep calm because the pres£ntation it taking place right away. We’re gonna start from the social science students to the science students so the judges shall start calling names” he said and hand the mic over to the judge.
“We call on Reese Ivan and Cole Ryder for their pres£ntation” one of the judge said
Two of the students from the social science clan c@m£ out and started their pres£ntation and at the end, everyone gave the a round of applause.
It went on like that till it got to the science students clan.
“We call on Sonia Chase and Alexander Nathaniel for their pres£ntation” the second judge said and Sonia and Alex c@m£ out and gave their pres£ntation and they really tried it their pres£ntation.
I staring panicking, what if we don’t do well in our pres£ntation considering the fact that we only study for four days. I just hope we pas-s at least so we won’t repeat this session because I’m tired of being a high school student.
When it got to Kimberly and Huston turn, Kimberly was just doing going beside the point but Huston try to be on point and at the end of the day, they did not that well but it was nice.
“Now the last pair are that of Tessa Davis and Jayden Machills” the judge said and I c@m£ out with Jay.
We did our best and at the end the hall went wi-de with the lot of cheering and applause. I know we did more than we expected.
“So we’ve come to the end of the pres£ntation and I’ll like to say that all the students did really well in their pres£ntation. I’m impressed. Nob©dy wants to repeat this session I see” the judge said and everyone gave a round of applause for that
“So I’ll be calling the five best students that really rock it in their pres£ntation starting from the fifth to the first and the names are as follows.
Reese Ivan and Cole Ryder won the fifth position” the judge said and a round of applause was heard as the two walk out to receive their gift.
They called two other pairs from the art students and it got to the science students.
“Harmony Rowan and Jeremy Luis won the second position” the judge said and everyone cl@p as they c@m£ out and collect their gifts
“Now the first position goes to…actually according to the results here, two pairs won the first position but we’re not going to have two winners so we’re going to ask them some questions and the pair that gets it correctly will be the winner and the king and queen of Machills highschool” the judge said
“So their names are……
