SURROUNDED

EPISODE 9

We stormed my father’s house that night after spending three days in the h0tel drinking, smoking and ma-king out with women. I refused doing women because my past experience was still very fresh in my memory.

I was on mask, and glove. The Capone said to me, “FORGET HE IS YOUR FATHER AND REMEMBER ALL THE WICKEDNESS MELTED OUT TO YOU BY HIM”. Hmmm, that was just the antidote i nee-ded and with the cigarette in my mouth b!owing h0t, i walked towards my father’s gaint gate with rage. “Terror” my father’s dog was alre-ady out of chain.

I pressed haruna’s bell. He answered and i called him his name and told him it was me OGUGUA. He quic-kly opened the gate. Terror the bull dog was barking. Haruna has been made to lie down by one of the men. I walked towards TERROR on mask before i could say jack, he ran towards me, one of the men sh0t it. It felt like i was the one shut. I saw him struggle with his life and couldn’t go further. I was actually crying. The Capone asked me to show them the way. I pointed to my father’s enterance. I was asked to stay back. I went to out of the compound sat by the fence and started crying. “TERROR’S DEATH HURT ME LIKE MY MOTHER’S DEATH”. Some minutes later, i saw police van about 6 of them drive towards my father’s gate. I knew there was trouble. I picked my phone to call, the policemen were coming towards my direction. I quic-kly put the mask into my shoes and threw away the marijuana i had on me. I took off my shi-t and pretending to be sitting and collecting fresh air. The police man walked up to me. “Who are you” . “Officer, good evening sir” i greeted. “What are you doing here”? I replied that i live around. I just c@m£ to collect fresh air. “Where do you stay around here” he asked pointing a gun at me. I knew my time was up. I was about pointing to any house around when the other police men beckoned on him. My men were coming out when the policemen, more than 30 of them surrounded them. I ran without looking back. I ran to the park and took night bus back to base.
I got to our lodge, broke in, took my belongings and ran away. I haven’t gone far when i saw the policemen dragging the boys to our lodge. They have been badly beaten. I ran away. Once again, back to the streets. What keeps saving me? Why is that thing not helping me? Why are my suffering like this? I kept crying and rolling in the uncompleted building i found myself. That evening, the contractor c@m£ and met me crying and rolling myself on the floor. “Who is that”? He shouted. I continued crying. He c@m£ to me and started talking to me. I told him few things. The man was shouting. He told me, he will take me somewhere. What i was going throu-gh wasn’t ordinary. The man’s name was BABA FIJABI. I followed BABA FIJABI to a dre-aded medicine woman, IYA JIBITI.

IYA JIBITI told me to stand in a wi-de wooden bowl and gave me water to wash my face, head and legs. I stepped out and she broke an egg in the water. The water turned to thick darkness. She told me to look into the water, whatever i see the first time is how i am, and what i ever i see the second time is who made me how i am.

I looking into the bowl. My reflection was scary. I started shouting. I was surrounded with big black snakes, cobwebs. I was chained too then wra-pped in a fish net. I was shouting but my reflection was not. Iya jibiti commanded i keep quiet and cons£ntrate to know who is behind how i am, THE WATER STARTED BOILING. THE CALABASH STARTED CRACKING AND FINALLY BROKE. IYA JIBITI SHOUTED. “ARRRRRGHHHH AGBARA MI OOOOOO AGBARA MI TI KU OOOOO”. I ran away.

Since the day the calabash broke, i did not sleep. I kept seeing spirits coming after me asking for their calabash. One night, it was terrible. I was slee-ping in front of a shop when they c@m£. This time around, they were running after me. I was running in the late hour of the night. A church was having vigil. I ran in. They ran in with me. I was running towards the Altar, these spirits were still running with me.
The woman who runs the church asked them to hold me. She said she can see them. She took a bottle of olive and poured into water and poured it towards the entrance. They vanished. I saw them varnish. She shouted, “THEY HAVE GONE”. The woman said i must shave my head and stay n-ked un-der the dew. Then i will be taken to the barbeach.

I was un-der the dew n-ked when they c@m£ again!!!

SURROUNDED

EPISODE 10

I was un-der the dew n-ked as instructed by the prophetess when the spirits c@m£ again. I quic-kly got up. I knew i was n-ked, abandoned alone at the back yard. I stretched out my hand to where my bo-xer is. Atlist, lemme manage and where bo-xer. The spirits brou-ght out long wh!p. They were many. They started flogging me. I was shouting. I didn’t know when i ran to the front of the building n-ked. I met the members outside praying. Immediately i ran out shouting, everyone of them ran away too.

I was running round the building. The prophetess was running after me and her ushers too. The wh!pwas severe . Marks all over my b©dy. The prophetess asked for salt. She pointed to the direction they where and truly, that was the direction they were. She poured salt and made some prayers and also sprinkled some water. I saw them varnish. Immediately they vanished, that was when the pain of the wh!pincrea-sed. It felt like h0t pepper mixed with ginger was poured on me. I was crying and shouting.
I heard the prophetess say, “HOLY SALT WILL HEAL THE WOUND” i knew i was in for serious pain. I tried to runaway, the ushers held me. They started singing one song i can’t remember. Prophetess started applying holy salt. I went mad. I can remember i had to bite one of the ushers and i received a dirty sl@p in return. I was in so much pain that tears was tired of me. I lost my voice to crying and shouting. The prophetess locked me in a room. It took a whole day for the severe pain to seize. The pains finally st©pped and truly the brusies from the wh!pstarted to heal.

Prophetess told me i broke the great calabash of iya jibiti. So the spirits in the calabash do not have any place of abode anymore. They are angry. They said you must provide their calabash. She said the calabash can only be found in the caves of the spirits. To get it by money, it’s 500thousand naira only. 500thousand i heard made me deaf and dump instantly. Then she dropped a bombshell. She said she will pay for all the expenses to get back the calabash but i must “MARRY HER” If i marry her, i will be free from IYA JIBITI. She will help me against her calabash spirits. I started crying. I looked at the prophetess, my mother was very much younger than her. I looked at her again. I started crying. She said i should think about it. She only caged the spirits for a while, they will return in full f0rç£ and this time, I WILL DIE. She left the room.

My decision was, i will never marry her, never. I rather die. I thought of all i have been throu-gh. My siblings don’t ask of me, my father doesn’t care, nob©dy to help me. My thoughts almost made me accept the offer. I shouted NOOOOOOOO, i will not. The door opened, THE PROPHETESS !!!! She said she c@m£ to spend time with her HUSBAND -TO-BE. Out of curiousity, i asked who? She pointed to me. She said “IT HAS BEEN LONG” i asked what? She said are you a baby? She c@m£ close, i shifted. She was trying to f0rç£ herself on me when an usher called her “MUMMY PROPHETESS she shouted, HOLY!!!! And the usher replied “AND SO SHALL IT BE. The usher told her some people from the local government are there to see her. She hurriedly left. I took a bucket and went outside, pretending i was going to fetch water. I still had pains from the wh!pbut i was determined to get out of that place.

It was about 6pm the next day. I ran away from the prophetess. I was tired of life. As i sat by the road, some church people c@m£ by and was sharing fliers. They said PROPHET OJIOKU (he who holds fire) is having a crusade. … I collected the flier and saw multi-ple testimonies. I even saw similar cases like mine. I decided i must attend the crusade.

I haven’t seen the spirits from iya jibiti since i left the prophetess. Prophet OJIOKU was just giving prophecy and telling people what they were going throu-gh and who was responsible for their problems. I struggled to the front so he can see me and he did. He walked up to me
and shouted. He said HEEEEEEEY, God forbid. What is your name ? I answered OGUGUA OR DANIEL. He said ” i am seeing shrine. I am seeing, three men in the shrine. I see snakes. I am not un-derstanding young man”

I was alre-ady shaking.
He continued

“im seeing hair in calabash. Money is burning. Young man, i see you in that shrine. there’s a man standing between you and the native doctor. Who is that man?

I replied, my father. Hmmmm, he said? Did you offend him? I replied no. Are you the first son i replied No, i am the last born. The man shouted again. Then he said to me, UNTIL YOUR FATHER DIES, YOU WILL NEVER BE FREE. If you want i will s£nd death to him. He has finished you. YOU ARE THE MONKEY THAT WORKS FOR BAMBOO TO GET FAT. Then he shouted again,”CALABASH” . He sighed, young man, your problems are many. YOU ARE SURROUNDED .

Prophet faced another person leaving me confused with his prophecy. I waited behind to see him and he told me in clear terms who was behind my problems.

MY FATHER!!!!!

The prophet said, SPIRITS ARE AFTER YOU ..THEY ARE ALMOST CLOSE. GO AND GET ME 7 BOTTLEs with sand. GET re-adY, WE SHALL CONFRONT YOUR FATHER!!!!!

“for the weapon of our warfare are not car-nal ”
