Mabel entered into the sitting room.Her mum,dad,and aunt all looked up at her.
“Mum!”she ran to her mother.
“I’m sorry..but it’s not possible Mabel”
“Mum..it should be possible plea-se”she pleaded.
“Talk to your father”Her mother whispered in her ears.She moved to meet her father
“Dad..plea-se”she knelt down
“Nothing is to be done about it Mabel..”he said and stood to his feet. “Whatever quarrel is between you Tega..I’ll advise you to settle it now…but the wedding can’t be postponed.Its next tomorrow or never!”Mabel’s dad shouted
“Dad..your daughter is confused…I nee-d few days to make up my mind completely..I love Tega and don’t want to lose him too..but what will I do we are not destined..”she cried.The three people looked at her.What was she trying to say
“Explain yourself Mabel..”her aunt said to her
“I got a prophecy mum…”she started and sat on the floor crying..”I got a prophecy that I and Tega are not destined and Cyrus is my soulmate..”
“Who’s Cyrus?”her mum asked
“I met him at summer singles mum and I fell in love with him..”.

Like a model who just won an award.Mabel sat staring at her pretty face in the mirror.She had promised today is gonna be the worse day if her life.But she prayed to God for a better tomorrow.Cyrus was gonna be hers.She had wanted to sit down and think about yesterday but she sle-pt off.Now her friends woke her up this morning and she just realized it was her wedding day.She checked her phone for messages and saw Cyrus message

She almost cried after seeing the message..she regretted she didn’t make her final decision yesterday and instead sle-pt off.Tega had given up on her and that hurts her so much!Now today was that day and Sandra has been blabbing on how Tega’s mum pampered her so much.Sandra was on the dressing room which two of her friends and the make up artist.She looked beautiful..she knows..but she looked pale in the heart.
“The invitation card looks so beautiful just like the couple”Paula said and threw the card to Mabel’s [email protected] picked it up.The card was beautiful indeed.She opened it and her eyes opened wi-dely.
“Excuse me plea-se..”she said to the make up artist and her other friends. “I want to talk to Sandra alone plea-se”she said to them.They stood to their feet and left the two friends.Mabel looked at the invitation again.Her mind had been on the wedding because it has not been postponed but she has totally forgotten that the wedding card has not been changed.It was still her and Tega’s name that was there.She could still make amendments.Yes she should!
“Sandra.!”she called happily
“Yeah”Sandra answered her immediately
“I want o marry Tega!”she said.Sandra laughed
“Crazy fool..”
“No I’m not crazy..I mean I’m crazy..I want to marry only Tega..”
“And who will allow you do that!”Sandra shouted at her. “You think you can just decide any time you want on any guy?I’m in love with Tega now and you should back down!”Sandra shouted
“Can’t you see..it’s clearly here..our name is still on the I.V.. everyone thinks we are getting married”
“But that is gonna change..you changed your mind…you went for Cyrus and that’s final”
Mabel stood up

“Oh my Mabel..you aren’t supposed to be here..your groom will soon be re-ady”Tega said
“Looks like she really misses me!”Cyrus said and they both laughed.They st©pped when they heard her crying.It was loud enough for them to notice something was really wrong.They stared at her as she stood by the door holding her go-wn and crying.
Cyrus moved to her “Are you okay?”he asked her
“It’s my wedding day Cyrus..”she sobbe-d
“Yeah..I know..it’s our wedding day”he said
“This isn’t working Cyrus”she cried
“What isn’t working?”he asked her
“Me…and you..it is not working between us Cy..”
“Wait are you breaking up with me..you chose me Mabel..you can’t be doing this”
“I’m sorry I have to.. I’m running mad Cy..if I’m going to get married it will only be Tega”she said and moved to Tega

“I don’t have any chance to give to someone who can just elope with the bar man at the h0tel of our honeymoon..all in the name of attention..”

“I’m sorry Tega…”she cried.But he walked out along with Cyrus.She sat down there in tears.

Mabel sat down in the bride’s car.She refused to come out.She was all sweaty in a full air conditioner car.Sandra sat beside her.Paula and Sharon wondered what was going on
“Mabel..plea-se the wedding is about to start”Paula pleaded.Mabel kept quiet staring into thin air.
“Sandra will you tell us what is wrong with your best friend..you are also quiet”Sharon said
Sandra also stared without saying a word.They heard a knock from the window of the car.They all turned to see.
Mabel’s father was standing by the door..with a pretty annoying angry face.Looks like everyone must have been waiting for the bride.Sandra cleaned Mabel’s sweat.and adjusted her make up
“It’s time..”she said and opened the door of where Mabel’s father was.
“What the hell is wrong with you”Her father shouted.She adjusted to the other end of the car.
“Dad..I’m not leaving here today”she cried
“Not on my watch!”her father said.
Sandra got down from the car, left Mabel with her father and ran into the Church.Everyb©dy stared at her as she entered and they all looked front when they saw it was not the bride.
She ran to where Tega was standing with the pastor and whispered something to his ears.T hen she took the microphone
“The groom’s family and brides family and friends..we are sorry for the del@yfrom the bride..we were only getting re-ady..but before anything starts..we the groom,bride and friends have a little drama to act.As you watch may you be blessed”she finished and cl@ps roared in the church.They were few murmurs too.
Just immediately Sandra dropped the microphone.Mabels father c@m£ in carrying Mabel on his shoulder.She had proved stubborn not to go with ease.He was still her father..he could carry her.She kept beating his back and shouting “leave me alone dad”.He held his grip on her and walked into the church.She cried louder and beats his back.She struggled with him but he took her to the altar.. immediately he dropped her she ran off again.Someone dragged her and she was sure it was the groom Cyrus.She pu-ll-ed away from him and ran off then bu-mped into a Masculine stature.She looked up at him and saw Cyrus!
