Episode 13
Mabel felt some eyes staring at her after the
k!ssTega gave her.It was a public k!ssand she
liked the way some girls reacted.Tega left after
the k!ss
This was the first time he would give a de-ep
k!ss,was he really sorry he was leaving?Isn’t it
high time she took it easy with Tega and bear
with him.Hecwas her fiancée after all he cares
for her and loves her,he doesn’t cheat on her but
his job was the problem
Was she wrong in taking things ha-rd with him?
Should she give him a chance to change?At
least he took her out when he had the chance!
But she still wasnt satisfied.A man should make
some sacrifice,he is not a worker but a boss on
his own.He has freedom
She sat down there for some while.She had
stubbornly told Tega not to drop her off and she
wasn’t with her car.What to do?She drank a
glas-s of water to calm her nerves before
considering to call cyrus.She picked her phone
and dialed his number
“Hey Cyrus.Come pick me at lovers eatery along
Lucas….”
“I know the place”he said
“Okay. Thanks”she replied.He didn’t say a word
for some while the hung up.
Nice gentleman.Didnt want to ask questions on
phone.she looked at the table and saw Tega’s
credit card.

Cyrus walked into the eatery,he looked around
and saw Mabel,he moved to where she was
sitting,she was laying her head on the table
“I’m sorry I c@m£ late”Mabel heard Cyrus voice
“Hey Cyrus”she greeted “Thanks for coming”she
said and picked her phone and Tega’s credit
card and stood up
They both left the eatery and walked
outside.They saw people gathered at some sp©t
“What’s going on there”Mabel asked
“I think we should be minding our own business
Mabel”he said as they approached his car,he
opened the car for her as she hopped in,he
turned to the other side of the car and hopped in
too,then drove off
They were silent for some time
“Tega…”Cyrus started talking
“…..he had an urgent meeting he really had to
go”she said looking out the window
“Okay….do you have any idea of a perfect gift
for a lady”he asked.She turned to look at him
“Actually..Jane us celebr@ting her birthday in
four days time…so I was wondering what exactly
i could buy for her”
“Hmmn…what exactly does she likes”Mabel
asked
“Eeerhm… everything”
“Well o think we should plan on that later”Mabel
said and stretched
“When are we gonna get home”she yawned
“Soon”he replied and increa-sed his speed

They got to the gate of summer singles late at
night,the gate was crowdy,there was no
entry,looks like something was going on.Cyrus
and Mabel got down and made their way to
watch the scene cyrus holding Mabel’s hand
It was a fight,it seemed serious,the gate was
blocked.Mabel looked closely at the guys that
was fighting
This is Drake.W Hy is he fighting
“Drake!”Mabel heard Cyrus shout.He knows
Drake name?did he go and find out after the
Hook-up-moment
“You must not say a word till I leave here”Cyrus
ordered Drake.Not say a word?Who dares order
Drake, cyrus mist be joking…does Cyrus know

“What’s going on”Cyrus asked the other p@rtner
who was boiling in anger
“This motherfv¢ker sle-pt with my girlfriend this
night”the guy shouted
“your fv¢king girlfriend sold her fv¢king
b©dy”Drake shouted at him back
“Shut up”Cyrus shouted at him.H e kept quiet.
I’m sorry mister this is never going to repeat
itself again”Cyrus apologized on his behalf
“He’s gonna pay for this”the guy shouted
“You are gonna pay for shouting at me too”Drake
shouted.Mabel walked to him
“Drake!”she shouted.She turned to the other guy
“….he is sorry for doing what he did…now pls
will all of you get out of here and get to your
rooms…I stead of picking up a fight”she shouted
“Hey.who are you!why are you supporting
him,why are you shouting at me,he has fv¢ked
you too right,you have shown him your pvzzy
right?”the guy shouted at Mabel.she went dead
silent like a graveyard.The guy wasnt
wrong.Drake had sle-pt with her she was useless
she heard something like a cl@p,bit it was a
[email protected] sl@pped the guy at her front
“If you repeat what you say,you might end up
ma-king a speech at jail”Cyrus shouted at him
“Who are you ? a president’s son?”the guy
shouted
“Watchme…this is a case of haras-sment,you
just haras-sed my girlfriend and you’re gonna
pay”Cyrus threatened and picked up his phone
“He’s got nob©dy to call Phili-p…let’s just get out
of here”a friend to the guy fighting said,dragging
Phil!paway.Few crowd cleared with them.Cyrus
dropped his phone and put it in his pocket.He
looked at Drake
“This is the last time I would ever save you
again”he said to him.He turned to apologize to
Mabel but she was nowhere to be found
“Mabel…”he called,no reply.It was noisy outside
“Mabel…Mabel…”he shouted again
“Mabel…”Drake shouted too
“Stay away from this”Cyrus cautioned Drake.He
stepped aside as Cyrus looked around for Mabel
she couldn’t have gone inside,the gate still hasn’t
been opened and she isn’t in the car either he
walked down the road and followed the crowd
that troop into summer singles field beside
summer singles building.He called her number
she wasn’t picking
He shouted her name in the field but there was
no difference.Je walked around the field.He
st©pped.He heard a soft voice crying beside
him,he moved closer,it was dark,he saw two
figures
“Mabel….”he called and moved closer
“I love you too Billy”a soft voice crying said and
he saw the two figure k!ss.
This wasn’t Mabel
He changed direction and looked forward to see
that familiar face sitting on the field,he ran to
her,she didn’t even noticed he was there.He
gently sat down beside her,still she didn’t
move.He stared at her she was staring into thin
air she wasn’t crying she was just quiet,he held
her and ti-ght but softly
At last someone noticed him,she sniffed and
coughed ou.It bec@m£ dawn to him that she has
been crying silently.He pit her hand in his two
hand and mas-saged it,she bur-st into tears,Drake
had made her useless,she could not boldly say
that she was a vir-gin.A and it was a secret she

“He didn’t meant to insult you Mabel…”she heard
Cyrus say,the tears c@m£ rushing out like a tap,y
you do r un-derstand Cyrus,she wanted to tell
him.Why had she even interfered in the fight,she
was being insulted,she wish it was not true,so
she would have sl@pped the guy,but it was
true…maybe that was what made her weak
“Drake doesn’t worth you.. don’t put your mind in
those things”Cyrus said.That reminds her,how
does he know Drake?
“…you…know….Drake”she sniffed
“Yeah… actually.. we’re…. eerhm.. friends”Cyrus
said.she turned to look at him
“Friends?”she asked and he nodded.Gosh that
means..if they were friends..Drake would have
told him that…
“Since when have you been friends”She
desperately asked
“Since forever…i mean..a long time ago”he said
“you…a long time…are you…close friends”she
anxiously asked
“No not really”he lied not wanting her to think
what she was alre-ady thinking.He saw her sigh
and new she was relieved a bit
“Drake is a flir-t,si he has bad friends…don’t be
surprised or angry if any of his friends insult you
okay”he said cleaning her tears,she nodded
“So how did you know Drake…”he asked her
“Well….he’s just a course mate”Mabel said
sniffing her tears
There was silence
Are you okay now”he asked her,she turned to
him and stared at him,he had a soulful eyes filled
with a bit of sadness and love.He only
cares,Mabel as-sured herself.
She nodded “I’m okay”she managed to say
“Thanks”
“Now give me a Mabel smile”he said to her with
a wi-de smile,she smiled and he laughed,which
made her laugh too.The two looked into the air
and Mabel sighed.
She rested her head on his shoulders.She hoped
this was right.He was a friend after all.Cyrus
smiled and placed his hands round her
shoulders.They remained like that till Mabel sle-pt
off.
Episode 14
Mabel had sle-pt off on Cyrus [email protected] ere still at
the field.He checked the time,it was 1:32am,they
weren’t alone at the field,S summer singles was
a camp,so the same crowd you see in the
morning is the same crowd you see at
midnight.Summer singles field is more or less
like a chat corner,different couples hang around
sitting on gras-s,some even sle-pt off
He took one look at Mabel,she was slee-ping
peacefully,he smiled,the girl was beautiful,he
liked everything about her,he remembered the
first time he met her,she had refused his
handshake,even refused to take a ride after her
car broke down and had also refused to follow
him to summer singles,he stared at her one more
time and sighed ‘she’s getting married Cyrus’ he
told himself
Mabel was his definition of ‘Cyrus girl’
beautiful,caring but stubborn,funny and S-xy.But
she was taken.Few weeks to come and she was
gonna be bearing Tega’s surname.He wouldn’t
deny not liking her,but he knows his limits.She
was a ‘dont go area’ now.Bianca was on his
mind.Although Bianca was more beautiful than
Mabel,he isnt sure about her,she was his new
friend, Caring and respectful
Getting a wife at summer singles would be a
problem for him,One week of meeting Mabel was
wonderful,Maybe after she gets married he would
plan on getting married too,because for now he
couldn’t get rid of her from his mind
Bit is this all a lvst?He wasn’t sure,h e naturally
liked Mabel but developed more interest in her
after he saw those pictures,he wouldn’t lie he
still checked them yesternight before
slee-ping…and when he woke up the next day,he
was happy he was getting out of his room to get
his head straight..not until after Mabel’s t©uçh
during the sack race,he didn’t make it obvious it
had an effect on him,he continued smiling.And
during the sack race all that was on his mind
was a beautiful way he could help Mabel
mas-sage her back.Bur her fiancée c@m£ to the
rescue and spoilt his plan.Not bad,he was her
husband after all.What right dies he even have to
t©uçh another man’s wife

Jane sle-pt on Tega’s che-st peacefully,she was
sitting on a chair and Tega was slee-ping on the
be-d.He opened his eyes it was only him and jane
in the room.That means Mabel isn’t still
aware,he tried to get up to his feet,but a sharp
pain struck his forehead.He gro-an ed and bit his
li-ps in pain.His head pounds he nee-ded some
pain reliever,but he didn’t want to wake Jane
up,she has been so good and helpful to him for
hours.He maintained his position on the be-d and
thought about what brou-ght him here.Now he
thinks ks it’s high time he starts listening to
Mabel
After k!ss!nghis fiancee,he left the eatery and
entered him to his car,Bobby called him back
“I’m on my way man”he answered the phone
They just left”Bobby replied
“Left?why?”he asked
“They had a meeting but they said if you could
meet them at charisma h0tel….”
“Okay then s£nd me their number so when I get
there I would give them a call…”he said but
Bobby had hung up alre-ady.He st©pped his phone
on his second car seat and changed direction
heading towards charisma h0tel

On getting there,h e drove in and looked
around,bobby still hadn’t s£nt any number,he
wasnt even sure he had one.
Tega had come across this client file and it
would be a great interest to the company.Now
he couldn’t afford to loose the client.He thought
of calling Mabel,but he hesitated,once he finalise
the deal,he would give her a call
He whined down the window of the car and
looked around,how would he get to know the
client..then his phone rang,he picked it up,it was
a pri-vate number
“Hello”he said
“Tega the tiger”the female voice said and
laughed “I’m the client your waiting for at
charisma h0tel,you would see my car soon…you
didn’t bring Mabel with you”She asked
He took his phone again to see who’s calling,but
the number was hidden
“How did you…who are…”but before he finished
saying anything,the caller hung up.Who could it
be.Then a call drove beside him and the driver
whine down
What?she?who!Seeing that familiar face,he
wanted to shout.The lady then brou-ght out a gun
and GBOA
He felt a sharp and sudden pain in his arm and
the car drove off.He held his jand as blood
gushed out.He was not going to die thus
way,Mabel was in trouble,the person he saw now
would target Mabel now
“Mabel…Mabel..at..the eatery”He gro-an ed and
started the car.It was very ha-rd for him to drive
but he managed

After he got to the eatery,he got down,his cloth
was soa-ked and now he could ha-rd ly see
anything,the eatery was moving,rolling…it was
upside down,he felt weak..and weak,he realized
he was slowly moving to the floor till he fell
down
What he saw last was few people gathering and
he had a black out
He pas-sed out in front of the eatery.
*Right now his heart was heavy.He didn’t know
where Mabel was right now,neither does he know
what had happened to her.Aftef he pas-sed,he
met himself at the hospital.And few hours when
he woke up,he saw Jane with him,she had
explained that the nurse had called her and she
had rushed immediately
When he asked her about Mabel,she said the
nurse also tried it but it was switched off and
she hadn’t been at summer singles before Jane
c@m£ over
He was dead worried,what if Mabel had been
hurt?He couldn’t risk it!he was sorry for not
staying with her at the eatery.He couldn’t afford
to loose his Mabel now.He nee-ded his phone,he
nee-ds to call cyrus,that was the only person.
that could help him now.He picked up his phone
and checked the time,it was 2:15am.Should he
still call her by this time.He wondered.He should
call..Mabel might be in trouble..he should call!He
sat up and unlocked his phone.Jane woke up
She ru-bbe-d her face in sleep “Hey”she greeted
Tega.He tried to give her a smile but he couldn’t
“Ate you better now”she asked.He nodded.She
t©uçhed his arm and he screamed and gro-an ed
“I’m sorry she said.He nodded
“Who are you trying to call”she asked
“Mabel….she doesn’t know what is wrong with
me..”he managed to talk
“I think you should call her in the morning,plea-se
take some rest”she pleaded and dragged the
phone from him
“Mabel…”
“If you are okay,Mabel would also be okay…so
just try to take do.s rest”she switched off his
phone.He stared at her,he was in too much pain
to argue
“plea-se be okay…”she said with tears sto-red in
her eyes.He turned to look at her
“For Mabel….”she said
