The weather was perfect. Edward, Mabel, Sarah and Princess took a stroll enjoying the view, snapping pictures and taking a selfie of themselves. They sat down on a bench at the park while Edward video called Erica and they get to talk to her, after their call, he called his parents, Mrs. Amelia and Mr. Patrick and they were all glad to talk to them on phone, lastly he called Jones and Sarah and Princess were able to talk to Greg since it was a video call, it was a indeed a great moment for them.
On the 29th of December, Edward suggested it time to return back home, he was planing to throw a grand birthday party for Princess during her birthday on 1st January, so they need to prepare for it.

Erica was happy to see her daughter and Sarah was also happy. She gisted her all day about the vacation and Erica couldn’t get help but to get jealous of everything Sarah told her.
“so tell me Sarah…is your dad being so sweet around Mabel? she asking making sure no one was their to hear them.
“sweet? what did you mean mom? Sarah asked.
“did he and Mabel ki-ss? are they that close every now and then? Erica asked.
“sure mother, i guess dad loves her more than you, i ask him that but he said what important is that he loves me so much,” Sarah smiled while Erica shook her head, feeling so angry about everything, she needed to push throu-ghwith her plans during Princess birthday since he was busy planing for the party.

✨The next day in the evening after dinner, Erica acted so nice and thanked Mabel for keeping to her promise and taking good care of Sarah during the vacation.
“i told you Erica, Sarah is like a daughter to me. She’s my daughter sister and my husband’s daughter so even thou am not related to her in anyway i love her because she’s related to the people i love,” Mabel said with a smile.
“so does that mean you also love me since am her mother? Erica asked.
“sure Erica, am not your enemy and i don’t want to hate you am glad we are in good terms after all this years,” Mabel said while Erica nodded with a smile.
1st January… New year?✨
Later in the evening around 5:30PM.
Mabel smile when she was done dressing Princess.
“happy birthday my Princess and happy new year too… you’re now 10 years today and this ten years i have been with you is the happiest day of my life,” Mabel smile.
“thank you so much mommy, i love you so much, am glad to have someone like you,” Princess smile.
“you’re so beautiful dear, let go, they guests are all waiting for you,” Mabel said as she held Princess hand and they walked downstairs. The walked outside and Princess was amazed to see how beautiful things were, their large garden was well decorated, they guests were just too many.
“Sarah, you look beautiful,” Princess with a smile admiring her blue ball gown.
“thank you, i also like your pink dress, you look like one of my barbie dolls tonight,” Sarah whisper to her while they burst out laughing.
“some of our friends from school also came and can you imagine Sophia is here,” Sarah said while Princess was surprise to hear that.
“Sophia? what about khoel? Princess asked.
“Sophia apologies to me and she said khoel is just ashamed, she felt so shy to come here, i guess she wouldn’t have to face us,” Sarah said dramatically making Princess to laughed.
“you don’t like cli-pping your hair,” Princess said as she gently removed one of the hair cli-p from her hair then cli-p Sarah hair to one side.
“mom says i look so beautiful if i let my hair fall to my shoulder,” Sarah said.
“well, Princess also say, you look much beautiful like a queen whenever you cli-p your hair,” princess said while Sarah pinch her cheeks playfully.
“you gonna ruin my make up,” Princess said.
“even without make up you’re still beautiful, so no need for the make up,” Sarah said while Princess smiled.
“happy birthday Princess,” Greg said smiling, while he walked up to them, he was holding a red rose flower.
“thank you Greg, it a good thing you showed up,” Princess smile while he gave her the flower.
“mom buy me those flowers, she said i should give you as my birthday gift,” Greg smile.
“it smells so nice, i like flowers too. Thanks a lot,” she said.
“today will gonna be so much, Sarah you also look good,” He said.
“thank you Greg, am happy to see you,” Sarah smiled then held his hand.
“Princess.. they party is about to start,” Mabel quickly called her to come on stage.
As excepted the party went on well and it one of the best.

? “Happy birthday Princess and happy new year too,” Erica said to her with a smile.
“thank you so much Mom Erica, you look so lovely tonight,” Princess said.
“thanks, enjoy your day because this might be the last day you’ll gonna celebrate such thing,” Erica whisper to her while Princess was a little bit scare to hear that but she wave if off, after all Erica is a good mother to Sarah, she thought in her little mind.
“Princess,” Mabel smile the held her hands.
“mother..,” Princess wanted to tell her what Erica told her but she just wave it off.
“i have a surprise for you,” Mabel said with a smile as she open the small box she was holding.
“a ne-cklace? Princess asked surprise.
“this, i bought this at Switzerland, it a surprise that’s why i didn’t show you,” Mabel smiled then put it around her ne-ck. It’s a golden ne-cklace and it has a inscribe:? “STARR” on the pendant.
“Starr? Princess pronounced it.
“yes Starr, you’re not only my Princess but a Starr to me, it gives you your own super power to use it, to light up the darkness. You’re the star i cherish the most, i want you to keep this safe.. okay,” Mabel said trying to hold back her tears, she so much love her daughter.
“thank you mommy, but it look so expensive,”
“anything for you princess, i can spend the whole thing i have just to make up happy,” Mabel smile then hug-ged her tightly.
“seems you two are having a good time without me,” Edward said.
“daddy, thank you,” Princess said then hug-ged them too.
“for what? he asked.
“for everything dad, look, mom gave me this,” Princess smile pointing at the ne-cklace in her ne-ck.
“is so beautiful and expensive too,” Edward smile then looked at Mabel.
“thank you Mabel,” Edward said to her. .As they snapped some pictures
“thank you dad, thanks mom, i will just go to see my friend over their,” Princess smile then went to check on Sarah.
? “i have been looking for you Princess,” Sarah said with a smile when they bumped into each other.
“grandpa is just so happy for you today, he want to talk to you,” Sarah said with a smile.
“okay, come over here, let me show you something,” princess said with a smile then held Sarah’s hand, as they walk hand in hand to a quiet place.
“it your day, so make any wish you want Princess,” Sarah said.
“my wish is to always be with you guys, is to be with my family. Well mom gave me this ne-cklace,” Princess smiled as she point at the ne-cklace on her ne-ck.
“wow.. it just so beautiful…. STARR? Sarah read the inscribe on the pendant.
“yes… i guess this the happiest day of my life,” Princess smiled.
“it so beautiful… i love it,” Sarah giggle happily. Princess saw someone from afar but Sarah was backing him since she’s facing her, she wonder who he is. Suddenly he removed a gun and pointed at Sarah. This time Princess was more scared and Sarah could see that in her face, she quickly turn and fix her gaze to where Princess was looking at.
“you.. look so scared? Sarah asked. But everything happen so fast and before they knew it, Princess quickly push Sarah aside and the bullet pen-etrated throu-ghher. They was a sudden silence.
“a gun shoot? Edward said to himself so worried looking around but couldn’t see Princess and Sarah.
Mabel was scared when she heard that sound, she quickly ran out to see what happening.
“Princess,” Mabel called out so scared as she ran to where Sarah and Princess were. Princess was already in the pool of her blood and the scary man quickly push Sarah aside then carried Princess alone with him.
“my daughter.. give me back my daughter,” Mabel yelled but he was too fast, the security men quickly showed up and followed him. Mabel looked at the blood stain on the floor- it Princess Blood, she couldn’t believe this is happening.
“what’s going on here? Edward asked as he quickly came and lots of people showed up there, some quickly left when they heard they gunshot.
“what really happen Sarah.. who shoot Princess? Mabel asked in tears.
“Princess? Edward said so scared looking at the blood on the floor.
“i don’t know.. i have no idea but i was the man’s target, he wanted to shoot me because i was backing him but Princess push me aside and she was shoot, Princess save me again risking her own life,” Sarah cried bitterly.
“Princess… who could have to do this? Edward asked worried, his heart was beating so fast-er, thinking about losing Princess now might kill him. Suddenly his phone rang and he quickly pick it up. It one of the security man that followed the strange man.
“we would do all we can to save your daughter, we are still following the man in our car,” the security man said.
“you better so do, i will call the cops for back up, please do everything to save my daughter,” Edward said sadly, he felt so angry with himself.
“Sarah! Greg called as he quickly hug-ged Sarah who was crying so bitterly.
“what were you even doing here? Edward asked her.
“am sorry dad, Princess just bring me here to show me her ne-cklace, it all my fault.. am sorry,” Sarah cried.
“it okay Sarah.. we’ll get your sister back,” Edward cooed.
“Princess.. is missing.. what happen? Greg asked so worried.
“what’s going here? Erica quickly asked as she hug-ged Sarah.
“mom i was his main target, he wanted to shoot me i guess but Princess save me again,” Sarah cried.
“so where is she?
“he took her away,” Sarah cried.
“we need to go inside,” Edward said as he looked at Mabel but she wasn’t saying anything, he held her and took her back to the house. Lots of people has already left but Greg stayed behind with his parents, their grandparents also stayed back to console them.
“Edward wasn’t at rest, he felt like crying out but needed to be strong at least for Mabel.
“the police are still searching… i hope they get this man soon,” Edward said while Mabel was seated on the armchair staring into space.
“Mabel.. i promise you, Princess will be back home, the police are doing everything they can to find that idiot that shoot and took her away,” Edward said trying to comfort Mabel but she wasn’t saying anything, she just sat down still like a statue.
“who could have done this? Mr. Patrick asked sadly, not when everything is fine, why would such thing happen now.
“the police said i should just wait for them here but i can’t just stand here and do nothing, i have to find my daughter,” Edward said then quickly hurried out, leaving Mabel in the care of his parents.
…Few hours Later… ✨?
Sarah was still awake, she prayed and hope Princess will be back, she need her sister back and she couldn’t afford to lose her. Greg was also seated beside her, to console her.
Erica went to her room upstairs to receive her call.
“have you kill the girl? she asked slowly.
“the police would have catch us but it a good thing i quickly stop and threw her away in the large river at that place. Am sure she’s dead because she lose so much blood and am sure she won’t survive in the large water,” he said while Erica smirk.
“but you wanted to shoot my daughter cos that what Sarah has been saying, what if Princess didn’t decide to save her, just be lucky nothing happen to my daughter or else i will kill you myself,” Erica yelled.
“next time you should do your job well,” she said then quickly hanged up the call.
▪▪▪▪The door went open, Edward walked in with the policemen.
Everyone quickly stood up, hoping to see Princess.
“where’s Princess? where’s my daughter.. i need to see my daughter. I know you couldn’t bring her right here at home, she’s in the hospital right? she must have lost a lot of blood and need a blood transfusion, i need to be their for Princess, i need to save her because my life is with her,” Mabel said blankly, she wanted to leave but Edward held her back.
“am sorry Mabel… we couldn’t find her and the man too,” Edward said slowly, his eyes were clouded with tears.
“Edward.. Princess need us now, we need to save her. She’s in the hospital,” Mabel said then turn to Sarah.
“Sarah… your sister need you now, someone should follow me to the hospital,” Mabel said trying to free herself from his grip.
“no Mabel,” Edward said slowly but Mabel quickly freed herself from his grip.
“i guess you still don’t have any idea what Princess mean to me, am going to find my daughter and bring her back here,” Mabel said angrily as tears slide down her eyes. Edward was scared seeing her that way, she must be traumatized based on the way she talks and look. He felt so scared because they last time he saw her like this was when her parents died and it took a lot of time for her to heal. He wasn’t only scared of losing Princess but also his wife…
“what did you mean… where’s my sister? if anything bad should happen to Princess i will never be at peace with myself, i will never forgive myself,” Sarah said to no one in particular as she burst out crying…
Erica just stood and stare blankly, Amelia also looked worried, knowing its all Erica’s plan.
“Edward, Mabel i guess this the price you have to pay for hurting me all these years,” she said to herself.
