Well, after the conversation she had with Richmond she didn’t know if he gave her mom another chance or not but one thing she did know is that she was starting from scratch again. Thank God grandma promised to take care of her for as long as she lives
Kieran is happy now and she has been growing fine. There was a time she was worried about who her biological father would be but grandma told her not to ever think of that man cause he’s the reason why things turned out the way it was.
2YEARS LATER
“Happy birthday Miss Kieran,” Grandma said carrying a cake. She looked at it and as usual, she gr0@nand went back to be-d but grandma won’t have it this year. This has to come to an end.
“This is the most important year in your life young lady and we’re going to celebr@te it.” She said and pu-ll off the duvet cover.
“What’s so special about this year?” She asks her grandmother who sits on the be-d beside her.
“Eighteen years is another stage of your life. You have a lot of things to achieve this year and it’s this year I can allow that Joe guy to d@t£ you.” She said tea-singly and Kieran threw pillows at her but instead of laughter, grandma held her che-st in pain.
“Granny are you okay?” Kieran asks getting out of be-d. She has no idea what is going on here. This is the first time she’s seeing her grandmother like this.
Grandma could not even utter words, she was just g@sping for air pointing at nothing in p@rticular.
Kieran did not un-derstand what she was pointing at and she was extremely scared. She picked up her phone to dial the emergency line when Joe c@m£ in carrying a box. He dropped the box on the table and rushed to grandma who has lost consciousness.
“plea-se help me, Joe.” Kieran cried and they both were able to carry Grandma to the car. He drove straight to the hospital and the nurses took it from there.
“Is she going to be okay? Will she die?!” Kieran asked looking restless.
“Calm down Kieran, she’s going to be fine. They’ll take care of her here.” Joe said and embr@ce her while she allow the tears to just roll down freely.
She can’t take it if she loses her grandmother. She will never forgive herself if anything happens to her grandma.

Becca has had enough of what ru-ben is doing to her with all the canceled d@t£s and ditches. She wondered if he doesn’t love her as he proclaimed or he was just pla-ying with her feelings.
She called him to talk with him and she wants to know if he feels anything for her so that she will not put her hopes up and end up getting hurt again just like what her ex-husband did to her.
“Hey.” ru-ben pe-ck her cheek but she wasn’t gushing as she used to and he knew something was wrong.
“Is there a problem?” He asked her and she asked him to sit down.
“What are we doing?” She threw the question at him. He chuckled.
“We’re d@t!ng. You’re my girlfriend.” He answered.
“And what is the future? I’m sorry ru-ben but I think I nee-d to know where this is heading. I don’t want another failed relationsh!pso I nee-d to define this thing between us.” She said and he sighed.
“I’m sorry, that I’ve been ignoring you and not paying you attention but there is something that I nee-d to fix before I start thinking of our future.” He said and she gave him an unbelievable look.
“What is it that you nee-ded to fix that I don’t know of?” She asked him but he wasn’t re-ady to spill. She knew she has to make him spill no matter what and so she was going to use the woman’s manpower.
“You just don’t respect me. I know I accepted to be your girlfriend just immediately you asked me and I know that it might look to you like I am cheap or something and I admit it that I love you so much but that does not mean you should treat me unfairly. I only love you, ru-ben, all I did was fall in love with you and if you don’t want to share your problems with me then I guess you don’t love me as much and it’s okay if you don’t. I’m not lucky in meeting men anyway but ru-ben, my feelings for you are real and…..” She kept blabbing and blabbing and he nee-d to keep her shut but the only way to do that is to tell her the truth.
“I have a child.” He said and she bec@m£ mute with shock.
He has a child too? Why didn’t he mention any of these to her? Was he afraid that she might not accept him because of that? She is also a mother and she also had a husband. What’s the big deal about that?
“Why? Is your baby mama troubling you? Is your child a teenager? Are you thinking of breaking up with me because of your child? Do you think I won’t be a good stepmom to your child? What’s the problem ru-ben, talk to me”
He narrated the whole story to her. How he ruined someone’s life because of a few minutes of plea-sure.
He cried telling her how unfair he has been towards his child and the lady he had taken advantage of.
He told her that ever since he bec@m£ responsible, he has been looking for the lady and maybe she might forgive him and he wants to ask about their child together but he has never met her. He tried reaching her throu-gh her old phone number but it was like she is not using the number anymore.
He said he went to their house but they were not there anymore.
He explained to her that all he ever wanted was to ask for their forgiveness and be responsible for his child. He said until he sees his child he doesn’t think he can ever move on.
“Who is this woman?” She asked him.
“Her name is Ruth Lorrie.”
Immediately she remembered that name. What if Kieran is his daughter? As she was about to reply to him, her phone starts to ring, and on checking the caller ID, it was her son Joe that was calling who told her that he was in the hospital with Kieran that her grandmother was sick.
“There’s a place I will want us to go together,” Becca said.
“Where?” He asked her but she told him to st©p asking irrelevant questions and just follow her.

Kieran can be seen standing with her phone in her ear, she has been trying to call her mother so that she can come here cause she doesn’t even know what situation they are in but Ruth was not even answering the call.
“Common mom plea-se answer the phone,” Kieran said but there was no response.
She tried calling again and when the phone start to ring, she saw the nurses and doctor running to the ward her grandmother is, the phone in her hand falls to the ground and she followed them but they didn’t let her in.
“What is going on? She’s my grandmother!” Kieran said fighting with the people that held her.
A few minutes later, the doctor c@m£ out wearing that sad face, and the moment Kieran noticed she slowly re-leased herself from their grip and walk to the doctor.
“Where is my grandmother?” She asked him calmly but he could not provide an answer.
“What’s wrong Kieran?” Joe who just appeared in the scene asked her. He left a while ago to bring his mom and ru-ben here.
“Ask him. He wouldn’t tell me where my grandmother is. Maybe he’ll talk to you.” She said she took a step backward.
“Is there a problem doctor?” Joe asked him this time but he still kept the same sad face. Before anything, Kieran has snicked in the ward to see her grandmother covered from her head down her toe.
“Granny.” She softly called walking to the corps.
There was no response. She got closer to the b©dy and open her face and she saw her grandmother lying lifeless. Her scream was what the others heard that brou-ght them into the ward.
“Granny common. Granny, plea-se don’t do this to me! Granny!!!!!!!!!!!” She hvgged her b©dy crying and screaming.
ru-ben felt sorry for the poor girl. He didn’t know what to do to ease her pain. He was just standing there watching.
Joe found himself crying too.
“Granny you told me you were never going to leave me right? Today is my birthday for crying out loud why are you just lying there?! Granny!!!!!!! I’m going to celebr@te my birthday just stand up plea-se!!!!!!” Kieran cried trying to pu-ll the b©dy off the be-d but the doctor and the nurses had to take her away and they covered grandma’s b©dy.

Kieran can be seen sitting quietly watching people dropping flowers on her grandmother’s grave and some are saying their condolences to her.
She appreciated them but the pain is still as fresh as the day she died. She allowed the tears to be rolling down freely while she regretted all that had happened.
Maybe if she had taken her to the hospital earlier maybe she would still be alive.
After almost everyone has left, she stood up to approach her grandmother’s grave but her mother appeared in front of her. She has been avoiding the woman like a plague but now she’s right in front of her.
“You still have the nerve to show your face here?! I thought you would have disappeared a long time ago,” Ruth said. Kieran stared at her as another round of tears roll down her cheek but she wipe it off this time.
“You’ve done enough mom! Don’t you feel any guilt at all?! I was calling you! Granny was lying in the hospital and you were not there to even help her. I am just a child mom so plea-se don’t blame me for all that has happened.” Kieran said but instead, Ruth chuckled.
“I don’t have to blame you because you’ll live with the fact that my mother died in your watch!” Ruth said and Kieran regrets even having this conversation with her.
“Do whatever you want I’m done,” Kieran said and left the burial ground.
