Stained episode 2

STAINED 🥺

Chapter Two
———————————-
Things began to get from bad to worse as Ruth left her mother to care for Kieran, she doesn’t even want to see the girl talk more about carrying her.

“When will you st©p treating her this way, Ruth? Kieran is just a child.”
Her mother had pleaded with her to even consider the fact that the little girl is innocent but Ruth don’t even want to hear it, she blamed her for all of her bad lucks.

Kieran and her father ruined her life.
If ru-ben and Kieran hadn’t come into her life she wouldn’t have dropped out of school and her life wouldn’t have been a mess.
ru-ben had run away leaving her with responsibility while the sight of Kieran alone reminded her of all the horrible mistakes she had made in her life.

Ruth made sure to pay no attention to Kieran and even at a very tender age, the poor girl had known that her mother never loved her.
It was obvious, it wasn’t like Ruth was pretending or something, she let her know that she didn’t love her and was re-ady to get rid of her but Grandma had been the one standing as a mother figure for Kieran.

10 YEARS AFTER😞
Unlike every other kid, Kieran doesn’t celebr@te her birthdays, she doesn’t even know what birthdays feel like.
In other homes, birthdays are so special that they get new go-wns, shoes, and all manner of goodies but not Kieran. She doesn’t even like to be reminded that it was her birthday.

On the day she was ten, it turned out to be on a Sunday and Grandma woke her up to wish her carrying a cake in her other hand. When Kieran opened her eyes and grandma said happy birthday, she hissed and went back to be-d but she couldn’t even sleep.

“Honey, it’s your birthday today.” Grandma reminded her.

“And so?” Kieran got out of be-d and went into the bathroom to take her bath.
“It’s just like every other day Granny.” She said in the bathroom. Grandma sits on the be-d and sighs.

“It’s not my dear, it’s on this day that you were born. You should be happy, not grumpy.” Grandma said and Kieran laughed.

“Grumpy? I just don’t like birthdays Granny, it’s not for me.” She said and turn on the shower so she won’t be able to hear another word from grandma.

That is how Kieran had been living. Her childhood was not as fun as others and she didn’t even get to have that motherly love all kids have.
She grew up having this awful mentality about herself.
She believed she wasn’t good enough that was why her mother had hated her.
She believed she wasn’t as pretty as other kids that is why her mother detest her.
Kieran had promised herself that when she’s 18 and is alre-ady ma-king her own money, she’s going for plastic surgery so that she can be beautiful and accepted by her mother but grandma did tell her that she is just as beautiful as her mother but she doesn’t believe that even though her clas-smates in school worsh!pher beauty.

“If not because I didn’t graduate I would have been at the t©p,” Ruth told her friend Kira.
Ruth went in search of a job and she did get one but the owner of the company told her that he’ll have to sleep with her first before offering her the position.
Ruth found this irritating and she sl@ps the man who called the cops on her and she was taken to the police station. Ruth didn’t want her mother to worry that was why she called her friend Kira to come to bail her.

“I still don’t think hitting him was the right thing to do,” Kira told her but she wouldn’t hear it after all she had done what was on her mind and he won’t try that ru-bbish with her again.
“He was wrong, yes but violent isn’t the solution,” Kira added.

“Are you expecting me to just be calm and allow history to repeat itself so that I can carry another disgrace? No, thank you.”

“And why will you talk about a beautiful soul like that? Kieran is a blessing to you and you have to accept it before you regret your actions. I know the way she c@m£ was painful and unforgiving but that girl has nothing to do with her father’s mistakes. You’re her mother and….”

“Don’t you dare call me her mother! I will have my child when I’m re-ady to have one. That girl just comes out of my wo-mb and that’s all.” She said and left the house.

No matter what anyone will say, she is never accepting her pain into her life.
Kieran and ru-ben had caused her enough pain alre-ady and she’s not planning on having the pain for the rest of her life.

When Ruth got home, she saw her mother and Kieran in the living room, she greeted her mother and wanted to leave but Kieran hvgged her.

“Mom, today is my birthday,” Kieran said sadly but Ruth pushed her away and she almost hit her head it was a good thing that grandma was able to catch her.
“The next time you come near me I’m going to cut off your arms.” She warned her and walk away.

“Why did Mummy hate me so much, Granny?” She asked crying.

“She didn’t hate you alright, she just has too much to handle,” Grandma said, Kieran alre-ady knew that wasn’t it. Her mother was never her fan anyway.

“This has to st©p.” Mrs. Lorri said to Ruth after she was able to put Kieran to sleep and she c@m£ to Ruth’s room. Mrs. Lorri is standing by the door.

“What has to st©p?” She asked not even glancing at her.

“Your maltreatment to that little girl. She has done nothing to you for Pete’s sake. Can’t you just let that girl be happy? I mean she’s your daughter. It’s not like you adopted her or something.”

“If I had adopted her it would have been better, at least I wanted her but then I don’t want her. She ruined my chances of being successful. She st©pped my career, she….”

“Blah blah blah…… What other story do you have that I haven’t heard? Kieran had nothing to do with any of that. She’s just a victim as you are. It’s not her fault ru-ben f0rç£d himself on you, it’s not her fault he denied you and neither is it her fault you didn’t graduate. All these happened because of the decision you made. Listen to me Ruth, it’s high time you st©p punishing that girl.” Mrs. Lorri said and Ruth turned her n£¢k to her.

“Are you blaming me right now Mom? Do you think it’s because of the decisions I made? Mom!” She said not believing that her mother was seeing her fault.

“All am saying is that you should st©p maltreating Kieran. Pity her will you.” Her mother said and left the room.

The next morning, Kieran was all re-ady for school and she c@m£ in the kitchen to prepare cereal for herself when she saw her mom in the kitchen.
Kieran paused not knowing what to do, she doesn’t know if hvgging her will cause her to push her away again but she embr@ced her anyway.
And to her surprise, she hvgged her back.

“Mom…”

“I know. Go sit down while I make you breakfast.” Ruth said and Kieran excited went to the dining.

Ruth smiled mischievously as she brou-ght out the liquid poison she had bought that same night, she can not continue to allow Kieran to mess her life up and that is why she has resulted in this. She’s going to end her miserable life and she can start her life afresh.

She poured little of the content in the cereal she made for Kieran and went to serve her.

“Thank you, Mom,” Kieran said and faced her cereal.
