‘” you wanna kill me ? Go-ahead that doesn’t change the fact that I lost the files already !
” Lost them or not ,we aren’t leaving this place until those files are out ! ” Mas-simo’s Dad fired angrily .
” I always knew you we’re worthless Gina but to the extend of loosing something as important as those files just proves …I shouldn’t have given you the files because you obviously let your obsession for Mas-simo cloud your judgement ….! Mikhail fired Angrily .
” you know what father ? That’s why I didn’t bother to please you …
Because at the long Run you’d still prefer the daughter of this thing over me ! ” Gina fired Angrily whilst glaring T me …she was shaking with anger and I knew at that point that things we’re getting out of hand .
Mas-simo gestured at me and I knew I really nee-ded to be at alert because anything could happen at that point .
” Where are the files Gina ? ” Another young guy asked and with the way he looked like Mikhail ,one didn’t nee-d much guessing to know it was mikhail’s son .
” I lost them okay one of my men betrayed me , I had the files until the Deluca’s had custody of me , for all I know it’s in the hand of an higher enemy …..!
” I was only playing along because I wanted to get married to the love of my life ….and finally get what I want ! Gina fired Angrily whilst sm-irking at me .
” It’s shocking just how shameless you are right now …Gina …trust me everything about this wedding was fake even the guests …you would have been getting married to yourself at the long run ” I said sm-irking and she fired a shot at me which I dodged immediately .
I fired at her and gunshots filled the air …. crazily .
I saw Mas-simo was being attacked by both Mikhail and his son and his Dad was helping him .
This was not just bl**Dy but crazy because there where injured men everywhere and…I made to leave as I ran into my mom .
” Running ? I’m not suprised because that’s what you’ve always done ! She fired Angrily .
” Don’t you dare talk to me Lauren because you’ve been nothing but a dissappointment to me from the beginning …you caused all the bad things in my life and now that I’m picking the pieces I won’t let you ruin it for me ! I fired angrily and she smi-rked.
” Don’t be a fool grace the Deluca’s are playing games on all of us …don’t you get it , your father had great plans for you ….dear you’re his heir …..just come with us ‘” she said and I glared at her .
” I’m never taking sides with you or Mikhail ! I yelled and she shot my hand .
I yelped from the pain and fired her back …it hit her leg and she screamed from the pain .
A mother was supposed to protect and love her child , but here I am … fighting a fight for life with my own mother ….who would do anything to wipe off my existence from the world .

It was Rico ….Rico saved me , where’s Mas-simo ? I turned back and saw Mikhail and Mas-simo on a bl**Dy fight with knives .
We tried to handle both Ivan and my mom at the same time and the men outnumbered us .
I was injured already and as me and mom got into a fist fight …she tried her best to get rid of me …and at that point I pointed my gun` at her …
She pointed her gu`n at me too and laughed with bl**d hozing from the cut on her li-ps .
I was also injured as my eyes stung with tears .
” You can’t do it Grace and you know it , you’ve always been a weakling … being the Donna of the Italian mafia doesn’t and would never change that ” she mocked .
” That’s where you’re mistaken cause the million times you broke my heart has thought me …to stand up for myself ….! ” I said as my voice shook .
” You can’t do it ….! She said and I fired at her …she looked at me shocked as I shot her again …I shot her and as she fell we stared at each other’s eyes as tears rolled out of my eyes I stared at her and burst into tears .

” You ungratful thing ….! Someone screamed and as I he tried to pull someone shot at him …
Mikhail’s son stared blankly and took steps backwards as he tried to escape ..
” Are you okay ? Giovanna asked as she stared at me sadly .
” I’m fine ” I said shocked that she’d saved me from mikhail’s son .
” Where are the others ? I asked in pannick.
” Mas-simo k*lled Mikhail already …. everyone is fine …. accept Santi ” she said as her voice shook.
….and that’s when I noticed the blood stains on her shirt .
” What happened ? ” I asked scared
” He tried to shoot at Mas-simo …but Santi took the hit instead , Gina escaped and so did Ivan Balandin ….Mas-simo k*lled your father ” she said and I stared at her in shock .
” You K*lled Lauren ” she said looking at my mom’s body and I covered my li-ps as I cried badly .
She pulled me into her arms as I cried bitterly .
I knew tonight was gonna be bloody , but to the point where Mr Santiago would be in the hospital and the death of Mikhail and my mom I didn’t see that one coming ….
” Where’s everyone ? I asked camly and she took a de-ep breath ..
” Probably took Santi to the estate …for treatment ” she said and I just stared at her .
She was trying to best to remain calm but I could see just how hurt she was from the whole disaster .
I still found it ha-rd wrapping my head around the fact that Giovanna helped me .
I wasn’t her favorite person in the world , but right now she didn’t care .
” Grace , mom are you okay ? Emelio asked as he rushed over to us ” he was injured too .
” We’re fine….how’s your father ? She asked trying to hide the concern in her voice and I found it disturbing .
What sought of relationship we’re these two having ? Why was she trying her best not to let the situation affect her ?
I mean if Mas-simo was shot even in the hand I can imagine myself loosing it not to talk of being rushed to the hospital .
” C’mon ” Emelio said and as he drove us to the estate , we just sat behind silently .
We arrived at the estate and he drove towards the clinic and immediately we walked in , Mas-simo walked towards me .
“My Queen ” he whispered softly as he ki-ssed my forehead and I just stared at his brothers who we’re behind and staring at us .
He had bandage’s on the injured places and his brothers weren’t left out especially Frederico and Sergio .
Kristov wasn’t with them and I guess he was with the doctors treating his father .
” How’s your dad ? I asked Mas-simo.
“The case would have been different if the bullet hit his heart ….he narrowly escaped” he said and I felt a rotten feeling at the pit of my stomach as i thought of how dangerous that’ll have been .
” You got shot ? Mas-simo asked worriedly .
” I’m fine “I said tiredly
” Of course you’re not …c’mon
” He said and led me to a nice looking female doctor as she dressed my wounds and took off the bullet I winced in pain .
” I’ll be right back love ” Mas-simo said and immediately he got a text from someone and left .
” How are you ? I heard someone ask and when I looked up it was ma’am Lina .
” I’m fine ma’am Lina …what are you doing here ?I asked and when I looked at her eyes they where swollen.
” It’s nothing ..how are you doing ? She said and I frowned .
” What are you doing here Lina …? Can’t you at least give me this time to be in peace Alone ? What do you wanna prove ? That I can’t love him right ? Giovanna blasted Angrily as she joined us .
Her eyes looked red and it was evident that she’d been doing lots of crying .
I don’t un-derstand .
” I ….m not here for …the wrong reasons Ma’am Giovanna ” Lina trailed.
” Don’t you dare call me that ….call me Giovanna because if you even has an ounce of respect you would have kept your distance from my family and not went around sleeping with my husband at my back …..!

” Yes ….and it was sealed exactly the way it was stolen …” She said and Giovanna stared at her .
” Get out …’ she said and Lina looked at her sadly .
” Trust me ma’am ….” She trailed and left in shame .
Immediately Lina left ,she sat on the chairs outside as she broke down completely.
I just stared at her wondering what could be the problem ,I’d never seen Giovanna weak not to talk of breaking down like this .
I walked over to her on the chair .and held her hand as she cried bitterly .
” He chose her always …..he claims to love me but I knew his heart has always been with that woman Grace ….” She said as she cried .
” I don’t think so Giovanna Mr Santiago loves you a lot .
” I said and she chuckled bitterly .
” They where inlove before he had to sacrifice whatever he felt for the mafia ….our marriage was an alliance….no feelings attached ” she said voice breaking at the edge …
” I knew he was sleeping with Lina when I birth Mas-simo ,I knew he was cheating when I birth Frederico ….I hid the pain and still had kristov ….after I birth Emelio , I thought he’d stopped seeing her because he’d changed and started paying attention to me ..

” Only to find out he was taking me on vacations and trips whilst she took care of our kids … Because she was pregnant .

“I’m ready to die with this secret but I just want this pain in my heart to stop ….it’s consuming me ….” She cried and as I hu-gged her I began to un-derstand Giovanna better .
She was just a broken woman trying to vent her anger ,no wonder she’s so bitter.
