” br@ndon ” I called immediately me and Mandy entered the exhibition hall.
“I didn’t expect to see you again Michelle, it’s turns out you’ve been with this beauty ” he said referring to Mandy and I chuckled.
“Hello Mr br@ndon, I’m Mandy, I work in the same company with Michelle ” she said introducing herself.
“Yeah I know you. you’re that promising actress, Mr Ronnie’s fincee right” he said and she smiled.
“It’s okay, we’ll have a look round ” I said and he nodded.
“Enjoy yourself ” he said leaving both of ours.
“It turns out Mr br@ndon is a very good and awesome photographer” she said praising him as we both moved forward.
“Then what about me? ” I asked walking along side her.
We both stop looking at a picture on the wall…
“Wow, this is…” she said amazed on seeing her picture by the wall.
“This is a picture of you I took two years ago after we had finished shooting ” I said smiling.
“It’s wonderful ” she said.
“br@ndon had asked for pictures from me, he said he was preparing a surprise and I didn’t know he was thinking of giving me such a surprise ” I said and she nodded still looking at it.
“br@ndon is so good at it” she said and I chuckled.
“Then what about super Michelle. Aren’t I an awesome photographer? ” I asked and she smi-rked.
“You’re a super Michelle photographer too but what made you enter the entertainment industry? ” she asked.
“Go search online and you’re going to know ” I said avoiding the question.
I waited for a while to talk to her about the contract.
“Mandy I know about your engagement contract with Ronnie ” I said spliting everything out in brou-ght day light.
“How did you know? ” she asked as I faced her.
“I know you didn’t want to but I spoke to Ronnie and he told me it was because of the situation” I said and she nodded.
“Situation” she mumbled to herself like asking a question.
“Although Ronnie is a bossy and cold man but I know he won’t let you get sad. I’ll respect any decision you make and when the contract is over you can do whatever you want and love who ever you want” I said and she nodded.
“Thank you for un-derstanding and keeping it a secret ” she said and I nodded.
We both turn back and continued looking at the picture.
? NAOMI ?
“Everything will be okay, I can do this” I said looking at the pregnancy test tube on my hand.
I had not seen my period for over a month and suspected that I was pregnant.
“It not a problem if it’s true, I have money, I can buy a lot of cloth ” I said but feeling nervous.
I cloudn’t bring myself in looking at the results on the pregnancy test tube.
“I can do it” I said and looked at the pregnancy kit to see the results.
I screamed at the top of my voice as I looked at the results.
Few moments later Mandy called me and I picked up immediately.
“Hello Many, I’m sorry that I can’t join you” I said apologizing.
“Are you okay, do you nee-d me to come and take you to the hospital? ” she said but I immediately refused.
“No. No. I’m fine ” I said rushing with my words.
“You just go ahead without me” I said and she nodded.
“Okay. bye” she said and I dropped the call and looked at the kit one more time.
Even as I looked at the kit again and again the results still didn’t change from positive to negative.
? MANDY ROSE ?
I was already at the mall as I spoke to Naomi and she said she can’t make it.
“If she can’t come with me then I’ll just shop alone since I’m already here” I said and walked into the cloth shop.
I walked around inside the shop and I noticed two men who seemed to be taking pictures of me.
I got scared and immediately weared a mask so as to prevent them from seeing my face.
They still didn’t go away from where they were standing and looking at me. I walked out of the cloth shop and rushed towards somewhere else.
They both followed me and this got me even more scared than before. I looked for ways of losing them in the mas-sive population in the mall.
I managed to run out of their sight and went back into the cloth shop. I quickly picked a cloth and entered the dressing room as I saw them looking around for me.
A sudden knock came from the door and rushed and hide behind the door.
“Who’s it? ” I asked lowing my voice.
“Miss does the dress fit you? ” he asked and I remember that I took a dress with me.
“I’m still trying on the dress, I’ll buy it when I come out” I said and waited for a while before opening the door.
I got pushed by a man as I made an attempt on going out of the dressing room.
He walk in and I was surprise to see that the man was Ronnie.
“I thought you said “you’re going to be back tomorrow” What happened? ” I asked as he smiled at me.
“I miss you so I came back” he said and I smi-rked.
“Did you see those two men outside? ” I asked as he sat down.
“There are four” he said showing me his four fingers.
“Four of them? ” I asked and he nodded.
“I wanted you to be protected so I sent some men to protect you” he said and I chuckled.
“Protect me. I’m out of here” I said but he stopped me by placing his hand on the wall.
“Aren’t you going to give me my reward? ” he asked smiling.
“What reward? ” I asked trying to go out of his arms.
“I saved you just now, so you’re suppose to give me a reward ” he said and I bent and ran away.
Immediately I ran out of the dressing room, I quickly hide myself in between the dresses.
He ran pas-s where I was hiding and I breath out relieved.
I opened the dresses I was hiding in into two and I immediately saw his face down to mine. Before I cloud say anything he for-cefully ki-ssed me making it a long de-ep ki-ss

“What were you trying to tell me over the phone?” Mandy asked as she rushed into the house. I had lied on the couch trying to figure out what I’ll do next.
“Mandy, I’ve won a lottery ” I responded lowing my voice and looking sad.
“What lottery?” she asked and I gave her the pregnancy test kit.
“You’re pregnant… tell me who’s responsible? ” she asked looking so surprised.
“Who do you think he is?” I asked.
“Is it Henry?” she guest it right even without me tell her.
“Don’t mention his name, I don’t want to hear his name ” I said sitting up on the couch.
“Did he refused to as-sume his responsibility as the father? ” she asked staring at me in a different way.
“I haven’t even told him about it yet” I said sitting down on the couch.
All I did at the moment was bent my head and exhale, how cloud I even face him at a time like this.
“Have you gone to the hospital? ” Mandy asked as she saw the look on my face.
“No I haven’t ” I responded and looked at her.
“Let’s go to the hospital and have another check up on you” she suggested and I just lied my head on her shoulder looking worried.
Going to the hospital to me seemed like going to hear another news about me still being pregnant
About an hour later, we had arrived the hospital and was waiting for our turn to meet the doctor.
I cloudn’t be myself as I felt nervous, worried and unease, I cloudn’t think straight as we waited for our turn to see the doctor.
I wandered how it was going to look like asking the doctor and still get a positive results. I also thought on how I was going to face Henry and tell him I’m pregnant with his child.
“Mandy, I’ll go to the resroom first” I said but she tried stopping me.
“You just left the restroom minutes ago and you’re still going there” she asked and I nodded.
She left the side of my cloth she was holding and I ran to the restroom.
I walked into the restroom and did the same thing I’d done early when we reached the hospital.
I walked back slowly, looking like someone who was about dying and nee-ded urgent treatment.
“Naomi let ours go and see the doctor ” she said thereby making me even more nervous.
We both walked towards the doctor’s office with Mandy holding me as if I was going to fall down if she let go.
As we both moved towards her office, someone pop-up from nowhere and stood infront of us.
“Naomi are you okay? ” he as I raised my head to look up at him.
“Henry! What are you doing here? ” I asked surprise on seeing him. Mandy must have called him and informed him already.
“I’ll leave you two to talk okay. Naomi talk things with him ” Mandy said and went away.
“Naomi come with me” he said taking my hand and rushing to a quiet place.
“Let go off me” I said as we both reached a place in the hospital where people wasn’t walking around and it was quite.
“Naomi you’re not pregnant ” He said and I stared at him opening my eyes wildly.
“What???” I asked not quite un-derstanding what he meant by I wasn’t pregnant. Even with the result on my hands I didn’t bring myself to believe what he just vomited out of his mouth.
“That night after I’d sent you to a room in that hotel, you vomited on my cloth and I’d no other option than to remain there for the night and that was the reason why you saw me wearing a pajamas in the morning. Nothing happened between us. ” he said not frank about it like being so serious in saying it.
“So nothing happened between us” I said and he nodded.
“but if you’re willing….” he said and I cut him short.
“Why didn’t you tell me at first and you made me ba-re all the responsibility” I complained.
“I didn’t know ” he said.
“Henry, you think you can bully me so easily. Do you know I’ve been worried for days and cloudn’t very write anything. Who’s going to take responsibility?” I said raising my voice at him.
“I will. To remove your uneasiness I’ll take care of your life” he said and I moved backward.
“How?” I asked and he held my hand and I felt how warm, smooth and soft his hands were.
“Naomi, I know it’s my fault that I made you worried but just like I said before, since we have started, we can give it a try, why not reconsider about our relationship ” he said and I removed my hand from his.
“I’ll think about it” I said lowering my voice and speaking calmly.
“How long? ” he asked.
“Just give me half a year” I said and the look on his face complete change.
“It’s too long, why not make it shorter ” he suggested.
“OK three months ” I said but he still didn’t like it.
“No one month” he said and I accepted without even knowing.
“OK one month ” I said and he smiled at me.
“Wait if I aren’t pregnant, then what’s wrong with the pregnancy test kit? ” I asked looking at it.
“Let asked the doctor ” he said and we both went to see the doctor.
“When did you buy this pregnancy test kit?” the doctor asked as she wrote some things down on a book.
“I think it’s about five years ago when I was writing a story on a pregnant woman. I’d used it for research” I said and she nodded.
“This things usually work just for two to three years. The pregnancy test kit isn’t working anymore” she said and I smiled looking at Henry. He also looked at me smiling.

“I’ve always been a fool, I can’t un-derstand my heart that’s why I missed so many opportunities to be with you.
Will you forgive me, this time. I’ll do my best to protect you and love you” I said putting all my emotions into words of love and she looked at me silently.
I opened my arms for her to walk Into my life and she just stared at me still in silence.
Mandy suddenly embr@ced me accepting my confession and love for her. I smiled as I round my hands around her back.
“I love you and won’t want you getting confused between who’s more important between you and him to me” she said and this even made me more happier knowing that he did mean something to her.
