I didn’t even have to look at the other dresses on the rack. The first one I la-id my eyes on, I knew I wanted to wear it for this. It was an elegant white lace that had an almost flower like pattern to it. It had long sleeves and a regal high n£¢k, and a light tan sash tied at the w@!st. The back was cut out, and there was a glorious train behind it.

Putting this dress on made me feel the most like a queen out of everything I’d gotten to wear in all of my time here. It fit my b©dy like a glove and I knew that Calvin was going to love it. I couldn’t st©p looking at myself in the mirror until I started hearing music pla-ying softly from outside of the room. Pedro c@m£ over to me, changed into a new, sleek looking blue tuxedo, and he handed me a small bouquet of red roses. “Are you re-ady for this, your highness?” He asked with a bow.

I giggled. “Oh, plea-se don’t call me that.”

“Let’s do this.” He said, holding his arm out for me.

I expected a ton of nerves to hit me as we made our way to the door, but they never c@m£. I was excited instead. I wanted to go to him. Maria pu-ll-ed the door open and a new song started to pla-y. I was in awe as Pedro led me out into the ballroom. All the lights were off, but there were candles lining both side of the white carpet runner, and tiny Christmas lights wound around the wedding arch. There were four rows of rustic benches set up on both sides of the aisle with the other girls, a few men and women I didn’t know sitting on them, all looking back and smiling at me.

Ahead of me was all I wanted to focus on. Standing alone beneath the wedding arch, in a fancy black tux and white bowtie was my beautiful Calvin. When his eyes met mine we both broke out into giant smiles. I was willing myself not to cry and ruin my makeup, but it was really ha-rd to do, especially when a tear ran down from Calvin’s eye, but I held onto my composure. When I finally reached him, Pedro slid around to stand in front of Calvin and me.

“You look amazing.” Calvin whispered so close to my ear that it s£nt a chill running down my spine. “I love you so much.”

I was in such a happy daze that I had such a ha-rd time paying attention to all of the things that Pedro was saying. I smiled so ha-rd my cheeks hurt when Calvin said ‘I do’ and slid another sparkly ring on my f!nger, then everyone laughed when it was my turn to say ‘I do’ but I accidently said ‘yes’ instead. The ceremony was short, but it was perfect, and the k!sswould have never ended if it wasn’t for Pedro finally tapping Calvin on the shoulder.

We pu-ll-ed ap@rt reluctantly. “I love you, Cal.” I whispered and he k!$$£d me again.

“Say goodbye to your guests.” He whispered. “I nee-d to get you back to our room.” He win-ked and my stomach jumped.
I turned around to face the benches and Calvin walked over to the left, shaking hands with random people. “Rachel!” Greer called out and I went over to her. “I’m so happy for you, honestly, I am.” She smiled in her green dress.

Regina tapped me on the shoulder and I turned to her. I hadn’t really expected her to be here, and I especially hadn’t expected to see her so happy to see me. “I wanted to apologize to you for everything.” She said. “And I wanted to thank you for talking Calvin into not selling us. I know you didn’t have to do that, so thank you.”

“You’re welcome, Regina.” I said politely and moved on.

Tessa congratulated me, then Pedro pu-ll-ed my arm. “Rachel, I’d like to introduce you to Patrick.” He said extending his hand to the man beside him. He was slightly shorter than Pedro, but he was very handsome with his brown eyes and kind smile.

“It’s a plea-sure to meet you, Patrick.” I said shaking his hand.
“Pedro tells me you’re a cook, does that mean I have you to thank for the cobblers?” I asked.

He and Pedro laughed. “Yes.” He said. “It is my specialty.”
We talked for a minute before I felt a cold hand on my ba-re back. “I hate to be rude, Patrick, Pedro, but may I plea-se steal my beautiful bride away from you?”

They all laughed and I said goodbye to them as Calvin shocked me by scooping me up in his arms. “Good evening, everyone.” Calvin said to the small crowd. “Thank you all so much for being here to celebr@te with us.”

I g@sped as suddenly I was on my feet in front of the elevators. “Woah, Cal.” I laughed, stumbling slightly from the quic-k motion and shock.

He smiled wickedly and pu-ll-ed me onto the elevator with him, reaching back to make sure the train of my dress didn’t get caught in the doors. When he turned back to me, my face flu-shed immediately. His eyes roamed over my b©dy slowly, ma-king me swallow ha-rd . His shadowed eyes met mine and he grinned. “Are you nervous?” He whispered.

I bit myl-ip, keeping my eyes on him. The tension between us was strong enough to make breathing difficult for me. “I can’t believe I just got married.” I said instead of answering his question.

He smiled, ma-king my heart flutter. Even though we’d just gotten married less than an hour ago, I couldn’t help thinking to myself as he smiled that I couldn’t wait to see that smile every day from now on. My mind was still b!own that he really was just mine. The competition is over, and here I am, fixing to get off of the elevator with my husband, the king of the vampires.

The doors slid open and my heart went into overdrive as Calvin gently scooped me up, carrying me into his room, placing me on my feet right inside the room. The door closed behind me and Calvin stood in front of me, his eyes watching the frantic rise and fall of my che-st. “I’m nervous too.” He said as he looked into my eyes, and I could hear the quiver in his voice. He lifted his hand to cu-p one side of my face and I leaned into his cool t©uçh, sighing as his thumb ran across my bottoml-ip.

He slowly lifted his other hand, gently holding the other side of my face. He looked at me ha-rd again, then slowly brou-ght his p@rtedl-ips to mine. This k!sswas so different from all of our others. There was no rush. His mouth moved slowly with mine, and my breathing finally regulated as his hands slowly moved up to let my hair fall around my shoulders and he tossed my tiara aside.

I expected to be more nervous than I was, but as we continued to k!ss, my hands were steady as I undid his suit jacket, pushing it away, followed by his shi-t. My f!ngerstangled into his hair and he pu-ll-ed away slightly, gazing into my eyes carefully I felt like he was asking my permission, and I nodded. He reached behind me, and his f!ngersleft and icy trail down my back as he lowered my Zi-pper, k!ss!ngmy n£¢k at the same time. He brou-ght his hands to the front of my dress, his hands lingering at my collar bone. “Are you sure?” He asked lowly.

I’d never given much thought to this moment before, I had just thought of S-x as an abstract thing, not something I would actually be doing with a man I love. The answer was easy. “Yes.” I whispered, bringing my own hands to the t©p of my dress and pu-lling it down. Calvin dropped his hands and his eyes darkened just a t©uçh as he watched me push the dress down my b©dy and then step out of it.

“You are…beautiful doesn’t cover it.” He said taking in the sight of my b©dy. “Rachel…” He said my name like a desperate prayer and closed the space between us, his mouth closing on mine. I m0@n ed lightly as my ba-re skin pressed into his and he backed us up against the door, k!ss!ngme dee-per, his ton-gue sliding into my mouth, ma-king a warmth spre-ad throu-gh my whole b©dy even though his skin left chill bu-mps everywhere it t©uçhed mine. I arched my b©dy into him and fidgeted with the belt on his p@n-ts, and thankfully he helped me get it out of the way and pushed his p@n-ts down too.

Calvin carefully picked me back up, his gaze raking over me in awe as la-id me down on the be-d beneath him, before bringing hisl-ips back to me.

💘💘💘
I woke up n-ked and tangled in the sheets, feeling an ease all over me that I’ve never had before. I sighed happily as I quic-kly remembered the events that took place here a few hours ago. I hadn’t meant to fall asleep, but I was happily exhausted. I rolled over, reaching for Calvin, hoping to maybe repeat some of the things from earlier, but he wasn’t in the be-d. I sat up, looking around the dark room, but all I found was a note stuck to the headboard.
