“plea-se..” Elna fall on her knees.
” Serene..”
” You won’t even dare..” I point at Serene who’s about picking Elna up from the floor.
“Take your hands off her now.” I order as my parents eyebrows furrow.
“Alita.”
“What’s wrong with everyone of you ? Did you even ask why she got fangs ? Yes she’s a vampire , so what ? She got killed but got saved by one your prisoners. The only way to save her was to turn her into something different. You will not behead her except you’re willing to behead me too.”
“What ? Alita.”
” Don’t alita me. She was scared to come , I f0rç£d her. She’s getting married to the Caucasian you kept as a prisoner. They are in love and he’s the sole heir to his throne.”
” What are you talking about ?” Father yell.
“She’s not a v!rg!n?” Mom ask re-ady to freak out.
I keep quiet and look at Elna who’s still on her knees.
“Elna are you still a v!rg!n?”
She gulp and itch her nape , looking at me and begging me with her eyes to bail her.
“I’m no longer a v!rg!neither.”
My mom g@sp as her eyes narrowed. This won’t go well.
“I’m sorry. I…” My father’s palm plastered on my face. He sl@pped me.
“You’re such a disgrace. You were supposed to pl@ya good role in the lives of the younger ones. You left and you sold your innocence. I forbid you as a child. Did you even think about your family , your island Alita. Did you think about them ?” He yell.
My hand was instantly glued to the place he sl@pped. I couldn’t weep , of course I’m bigger than that.
” Alita how could you ? Who took it ?” My mom sob.
Telling them it’s Arden and he’s right in that cell won’t go well.
“Someone I fell in love with.” I sigh and re-move my hand from my face.
” Love ? You fell in love ? Do you even know the meaning of love ?” Mom asks.
“Yes I do. And I found it , with a Caucasian that you hated. I don’t wanna be chief and by the way Elna wasn’t supposed to be here. She was scared because of judgemental attitudes like yours.”
” I despise you. Serene take them both. Lock them up and wh!pAlita till she’s normal again.” Serene looks at me for a second before she reach to gr-ab my arm. I glare at her as she moved back a little.
” Serene !!” Dad order.
“Chief..” Akeelah bu-tt in once.
” Serene , get out now.” I yell. She prostrate and run away.
“Are you okay ?”
” Dada , I’m okay. If you don’t want me, say it. Don’t even try to lock me up. By rights I’m supposed to rule Amazon, you don’t have a right to decide what I want.”
” You sinned alita. I bet the deity despised you. You’re nothing to us anymore. How could you give out your innocence when you’re supposed to rule. Including you Elna.”
“I’m sorry.”
I breathe out and cross my arm.
” It’s okay. Let’s go inside.” My mother wra-p her hand around my father’s arm.
” We nee-d to talk about everything.” My mother glares at me before forcing my father inside.
” I’m sorry.” Akeelah whine helping Elna up.
“Thanks.” Elna stand up and wipe her eyes.
“What do you think is gonna happen ? Your father is angry.” Akeelah sigh.
“I wanna get the hell out of here.” I scoff.
“Okay , should i be sincere. You’re not helping matters. You’re letting your anger get in the way.” Akeelah said.
“Really ?”
“Yes , really. If I were in their shoes i would be upset too. The future heir was supposed to be a v!rg!n, die as one since it’s tradition. She’s never gonna have S-x and give birth. Unintentionally , she got kidnapped and was almost sold to the auction, but a royal house bought her. Unintentionally again , she fell in love with a crackhead vampire prince and they liked each other. And then intentionally , she gave him her vir-ginity on a trip to Hawaii and later on visited hoping to make things right. She told her parents she’s not a v!rg!nanymore. Who’s not gonna freak out ? Obviously I’m definitely gonna freak out.”
” Really ? Is your father aware you use black magic ?” I ask her.
” Yeah. He was fine with it. But I had to keep it far from this weird villagers. They are gonna go loco.” She said and that made me laugh.
” I’m really sorry. Throw your anger aside and talk to your ma. She’s gonna un-derstand.” I nod at Akeelah’s advice and sigh.
” I’ll take Elna for a walk and take her to see her man. You should go talk to your ma.” Akeelah wi-nk and lock her arms with Elna like a bride being esc-rted down the aisle.
Elna fake a smile as I nod before they dep@rt. I really wanna go back to Brooklyn. Too much traditions here.
“Ma.” I sigh and sit close to my mom on a log behind the house.
” What ?”
” I’m sorry I bur-st out on you and dada.” She sigh and finally face me.
“Okay.” She shrug.
“I love him.”
“Is he one of the prisoners ?”
I sigh de-eply and think before replying.
“Maybe.”
“So obviously , you and Elna likes both of them ?” She ask with a weird grin on herl-ips.
” Sort of.” I sigh again.
” I didn’t wish to. I thought I was never gonna come back alive. His father bought me from the hands of slave traders. An auction house. I fell in love with his son , i know it’s stupid. I couldn’t fight it. It’s really stupid it felt right. He means a lot to me. Maybe I wasn’t destined to rule.”
“And you gave him your vir-ginity ?” She ask and I remain silent.
” I waited for you. First moon , second moon and the summer has pas-sed frequently including winter , you didn’t come back. We thought we’ve lost you because it’s ba-rely possible our kinds come back alive. And here you’re…” She sigh and look away.” In love with a boy.” She shakes her head slightly.
” I can’t say I’m disappointed. Maybe I’m shocked , bewildered.” Mother sighs.
” I’m sorry. I thought I could change things. You know you were supposed to rule Amazon since it’s a tradition only women rules. You gave father your throne because you were in love with him.” She wh!pher head to look at my figure beside her.
” Who told you that ?”
” I’ve always known.” I sigh and fiddle my f!ngers.
” You weren’t supposed to make sons except daughters. You weren’t supposed to be married to him. You changed the rule mother and made sure no one knew about it. I’m sorry I couldn’t be chief. I really don’t want to be chief.”
” Is this nemesis paying me ?” Mom chuckle.
” Not really. Maybe your daughter wanted something better for herself.”
” Falling in love ?”
I shrug.” Just the way you fell in love too.” I rest my head on her shoulders.” I’m sorry ma. It wasn’t intentional. I couldn’t fight love. Each time i tried to fight it , it’s always coming back. I c@m£ because I wanted to see my family. I missed you guys and i didn’t expect father to freak out.”
” So how am I supposed to help ?”
” Talk to father. Make him un-derstand.” I tell her looking at her face despite straining my n£¢k.
” What if he doesn’t listen.”
” He’s your husband. And also he ask me to marry him.”
” Marry you ? Who ? That boy ?” I re-move my head from her shoulders and sit upright.
” Yes. Ma plea-se…”
” I’ll think about it. And elna ? So she’s going to be queen in a foreign land ? You were supposed to be warriors.”
” I’m sorry. Destiny pla-yed it’s p@rt terribly well ?” I pout as my mother laughs.
We remain quiet and listen to the chatters from the villagers.
” What happened after that tornado ?” I ask after the long silence.
” We were hidden by the deity. For a long time it brou-ght us back.”
“Wow.”
” Do you really love him that much ? What’s even his name ?”
” Arden..” I said with a smile.
” Arden , hmm..” mom raised her brows with a teenage girls sm-irk.
” Yeah. plea-se don’t hate him.”
” I don’t even know him. He’s the twin right ?” I nod not meeting her eyes.
” Great choice you picked. They are good looking.” I giggle as mom chuckle.
” Eventually I won’t be seeing you always ? It’s gonna hurt loosing my daughter to a man.” Mom sigh but with a smile.
” I will always visit , no matter what.” She nodded and hvg me with one hand.
” My girl is grown. She looks absolutely different…” Mom giggle and ruffle my hair.
” Ma…” We laugh loudly and snort.
” I missed you.” I hvg my mom ti-ghtly and k!ssher cheek.
” Me too , child.” She blus-h for no reason. Maybe because I k!$$£d her cheek. That’s new !
” So who’s gonna be chief after father ?”
” Maybe Akeelah.” I suggests.

” What ! Are you fv¢kin me up ?” Akeelah exclaim that evening as we watched Bambi’s new students.
” Chief ? I don’t wanna be chief.” She whine.
” There’s nothing wrong.”
“There’s a lot of things wrong. I won’t even get la-id.” She whisper that p@rt as Elna and I turn to look at her.
” You hated S-x.” Elna sm-irk.
” Yeah. Whatever. I’m not being chief. You think I’d love to get stuck here after hanging around Brooklyn. Someone should plea-se shoot me.” She huff.
Elna and I stare at each other before laughing.
” $h!t. Because you’ve been out of here and hook up with Brooklyn ? Or you’re just gonna miss Dylan ?” Elna ask.
Akeelah scrunch her face.”Eww. He’s an as-s.” She scoff.
” I beg to differ. Save that tutor for later.” Elna roll her eyes.
” I think we should reconsider locking you up with your cute vampire prince. Oh I forgot , soon to be vampire queen. How hilarious.”
Elna snort and grin. I laugh and stare at the girls fighting.
” I missed this about home.”
” Fighting right ?” Akeelah ask with a grin.
” Exactly.”
” Hey girls. Wanna join.” Bambi ask waving her hand.
” I don’t wanna kick as-ses.” Akeelah chuckle.
” We hope.” The girls sm-irk and cross their arms.
” Ooh.. be back sis.” We watch Akeelah walk over to the fighting girls and shrug looking at her rival who’s alre-ady in a fighting position.
“She’s gonna kill someone..” Elna nudge me as we laugh.
We heard the snap of a broken bone alongside a punch.
” Uhh. I wasn’t even ha-rd on her.” Akeelah shrug looking at the girl who’s on the floor gro-an ing with a broken arm.
” I’m sorry Dina.” Akeelah takes her hand and snap it back to place.
” Thank you.” She mumble standing up but Akeelah kicked on her on the rib as she fall to the ground wincing.
” Don’t ever expect a help from your rival and always concentrate.” Akeelah sigh as we watch Dina whimper on the floor.
” Bambi , what happened to your students ?” Elna ask as the girls gr-unts except one.
She was p@rt of Bambi’s trainee before I disappeared with those crazy kidnappers then. Rhea is her name.
” What if our next chief teaches us how to fight ?” Rhea ask with a c0cky sm-irk.
” Are you envious of her ?” Akeelah ask.
” Of course not. I heard she’s not gonna be chief anymore.” She wince pretentiously and sm-irk at me.
” Is this a competition Rhea ?” I ask.
” No my princess. There’s nothing wrong teaching your subjects few fighting tactics. We’re the future warriors of Amazon and it will be nice if we learn a thing or two from you.” She beams.
” Rhea…” Bambi scold.
” I’m just asking. I’d like to learn from her.” Of course she’s lying. she had like to see my weakness.
I scoff irritatingly and stood up from the tree I’ve been leaning on.
” I’m okay with it.” I smile at Akeelah as she return the smile trying to tell me to break Rhea’s bones.
I snort as Rhea walk to stand opposite me re-ady to fight.
” You won’t hurt me right , princess ?” She said with sarcasm. I roll my eyes and motion her to start.
She threatened to punch me as I duck. She chuckle de-eply and punch , I duck. She gr-unts and kick me on the stomach. Seriously ?
” I thought there wasn’t physical hurting ?” I scoff poking the place she kicked.
” I’m sorry.”
I roll my eyes again as she throw another punch. I duck and spin her around to gr-ab her hair. She f0rç£fully jab her elbow on my nose.
” fv¢k…” I cuss and move backwards holding my nose. That’s it.
I look up to meet her blood sh0t eyes. I gr0@ninternally and begin a normal fight with her. I punched her back and kicked her rips slamming on the floor.
” I’m sorry.” I said. She jump up and throw a punch. I duck and jab my fist on her mouth. She wince and spit out blood.
” Alita that’s enough.” Bambi shouted after I pinned Rhea on the tree re-ady to punch her to coma.
” Is that how you wanna be chief ?” I hiss and toss her on the floor.
” With greed and jealousy ? fv¢kin prick.” I cuss and smiled at Bambi and her students.
“We’re just gonna leave. Her father nee-ds her.” Elna smiled at Bambi as they pu-ll me out.
” How did you know what she’s up to ?” Akeelah ask on our way back to the palace.
” I saw the sm-irk she once gave me in one of Bambi’s previous lessons.” I sigh and shove my hands in my hoodie pocket.
Akeelah snorts. We neared the palace and I could see Arden, Dylan and Derek talking with my family. My father talked with Arden while the others seems to listen.
” Trouble ?” Elna ask.
” I don’t think so.” I sigh and walk to their gathering.
” So you love her that much ?” Father ask gesturing to me.
” Yes.” Arden’s eyes meet mine and hisl-ips still had that sm-irk like the first day he was locked. So pathetic.
” You’re not human right ?” He sigh and nod.
” Vampires ?” Mom ask looking intensely at Arden.
Arden nodded as they sigh.
“We can’t st©p her. She said she likes you and with what I can see you like her too. And you’re the one Elna liked right ? Derek huh ?” Father ask looking at Derek.
” Yes.” Derek reply.
” Okay. And you Dylan. Who do you seems to like ?” Dad ask with a grimace.
” Huh ?” Dylan stutter and looked at me. I roll my eyes and chuckle.
” They are all we’ve got plea-se take care of them.” Mom coo stro-king my hair.
I smile and scrunch my nose before hvgging my mom.
” Thanks Mama. And you too dada.”
” It’s not like I have a choice.” My father snorts and smile.
My eyes meet Arden’s and he had to wi-nk. What a punk.

. It’s night fall. The guys talked with my brothers and it’s sort of weird to them. I mean they are basically different from Arden’s family because they are blood su-cking creatures.
After praying at Diana’s temple , Arden and I climb up my favorite tree as we sit on t©p. The view was perfect at night because of the sun and there was a bonfire far beyond.
I rest my head on Arden’s shoulder as her ru-b circles on my lower back.
” I missed you.” I tell him.
” Yeah. Me too.” I smile and pout with puppy eyes looking at him.
” $h!t , you’re ma-king me hor-ny.” Arden mumble and bites his lowerl-ip.
I giggle and sm-irk.
” You’re not trying to desecrate my father’s island , right bunny ?” He sm-irk and lock eyes with me.
” I wish. There’s no be-d on this goddamn tree.” He whisper k!ss!ngmy n£¢k gently.
I breathe in and throw my head back letting him have full access to my n£¢k.
” I can’t wait to get Inside you once we’re out of here. We’re going on a trip and you’re ma-king me babies.” He k!ssmy n£¢k with his fangs and that seems to ignite my core. I didn’t even realize he talked about babies.
” St©p it.” I giggle and lean closer to k!sshim.
He k!$$£d me at once cu-pping my cheek. My eyes were about to fall shut when I saw someone.
” No way…” I mutter and bite my ton-gue.
” What ?”
I sm-irk and point to two figure not too far from where we’re sitting. They look like they are about to rip each other’s clothes off.
” Dylan ?”
” And Akeelah..” I complete.
” They’re k!ss!ng, hmm ?” Arden raise his brows and sm-irk.
“Damn… That’s her first k!ss….”
