Dorris entered the hospital room with a heavy heart as usual. Only if he will just wake up. Only if he could just flash one of his usual smile. Only if he could come back to her. Only if he could wake up and fulfil his promise to her.
Only if………
‘Oh! How much I miss you Ray!’
He promised her to get married to her, they’ve even started the preparation for their marriage.
But here he is…. Lying on the bed. Here he is struggling between life and death.
Dorris took a de-ep breathe.
She is not going to lose hope. She nee-ds to stay strong for Murray. She nee-ds to wait for the day he will speak to her again.
She will always visit him.
Ashley was watching her as she sat before the vanity table, doing her things.
“Raymond is so cute. Trust me, I want to have a child like him too”, Ashley said.
Dorris was drying her hair with a hair dryer.
” You have to get married to do that”, she said casually and Ashley swallowed. Actually, that’s the point she is driving at. She just wanted to beat around the bush.
“Actually, Douglas is talking about marriage too but we…..”
“You guys should just get married”, Dorris said and stood up.
“Really, shall we?”, she asked.
” Yes. I would be a nice mother in law”, Dorris said and wink.
“Mother in law?”, Ashley scoffed.
” You’re just a sister in law!”
Dorris pat her shoulders.
“Trust me, It’s a honor having me as your mother in law. Not all mother in laws are as beautiful and nice as I am”, She teased.
Ashley rolled her eyes.
“Yes, yes, yes”
Dorris attended Isabelle’s birthday with her baby. Seeing Isabelle, she remembered that she remembered that Ray was around when the baby was born months ago. How much time flew.
Dorris bought the little girl a big doll house.
Harriet carried little Ray and she really appreciated Dorris gift.
Time flew by, Douglas and Ashley got married. Dorris spent a lot of money and efforts on the ceremony. Douglas also bought a comfortable condo as their matrimonial home.
Ashley will nee-d to move out of Dorris’ and Dorris knew how much she will miss her.
Ashley was very emotional during the wedding day. She shed enough tears and she didn’t even want to part with her mum.
The couples left the party to catch their flight. Dorris had prepared a bitc-h house for them to spend their honeymoon.
Ashley was excited as they exit the plane the next day.
“Are you sure it’s okay to stay away from work for two weeks?”, Ashley asked Douglas.
” I’m the CFO”, He said and winked.
“Yeah yeah. I have such a capable husband”, Ashley said, lic-king his boots.
Douglas smiled and drew her into his arms. Then they stopped a cab and hopped into it.
Toby and vicky visited Dorris at her place. They came differently though.
” So for how long will you hide your relationship? “, Dorris asked them.
” For as long as possible”, Vickey replied.
“Oh”, Dorris mouthed.
“You see, I can’t afford to joke with Toby’s career right now. You know how crazy those fans can be”, Vickey explained.
” And are you guys comfortable?”, Dorris asked.
“Well, we are. I don’t care in as much as Vicky doesn’t mind”, Toby said.
” Same here”, Vicky said.
Dorris rolled her eyes.
“Enough with your countless profession”, she said.
” Can I hold your baby? “, Vicky asked.
” You can. Why not?”, Dorris saud and pas-sed the baby to her.
“Awn. So cute!”, Vicky said.
” Shall we have a baby too? if you like them that is”, Toby asked her.
“What are you talking about?”, Vickey asked him and rolled her eyes.
Ashley gulped when Douglas came out of the bathroom in just a towel.
Ashley must agree that this little boy looks so manly.
” What? Likes what you see?”, Douglas asked her.
He walked towards her.
Ashley keeps swallowing her saliva. She is so nervous. She wished she could post pone consummating their marriage.
She decided to be bold.
‘This must be douglas first time too. I have to be bold and dominate this session. I’m older than him anyway’
Douglas smiled when he saw the complicated expressions on her face.
“Are you scared?”, he asked her.
Ashley scoffed.
” What are you talking about? Why would I be scared? It’s just s-×”, she said.
Douglas ki-ssed her.
The ki-ss was more like a peck.
“It’s not just s-×, Ash. It’s love making”, he told her.
Ashley swallowed her spit.
“Is there any difference?”, she asked him
” There are so many differences, Ash”, he told her.
Ashley rolled her eyes.
“You’re talking as if you have the experience”, She said.
” Do you want me to show you?”, he asked her.
“What?”, she asked her voice low.
His voice turned hoarse too.
“How much experience I have. I can be very very dominating Ash.”, he told her. Then he ki-ssed her.
She wriggled un-der him.
He ki-ssed her for a while and stopped.
He then proceed to ki-ss her forehead.
” You…. “, he ki-ssed her eyes.
” Ashley..”, he ki-ssed her nose and moved to her cheeks.
“I know what is going on in your mind”, He said and moved to ki-ss her ne-ck. He made sure to leave Hi-ckeys there.
” You’re seeing me as a child aren’t you?”, he asked and moved to ki-ss her collar bones.
“Douglas is just a child. I will be able to dominate our s-× life. Oh will I enjoy our s-× life after all, my husband is so inexperienced”, he said and left Hi-ckeys on her collar bones. Ashley was shuddering un-der him.
” Those were the thoughts in your mind. I am prepared for this. Trust me, Ash. Your husband has good stamina”, Douglas smi-rked.
Then he took one of her n¡pp|es into his mouth and sque-ezed the other one gently with his other hands.
Ashley who had been trying to hold back her M0-ns couldn’t anymore.

Over this four years so many things happened. One of this things is that Murray still hadn’t woke up from coma and everyone had lost hope. But Dorris didn’t give up on him. Mr Dalton is already thinking of stopping the life machine and allowing the young man to rest in peace so Dorris could continue her life and stop holding unto rays of hope. Dorris is always visiting the hospital. She will take her boy along with her to the hospital. Dorris will read newspaper to him as if trying to tell him everything that is happening in the country. She will make the little boy speak to him. As he grew, little Ray knew the man on bed as his father. Of course he will always question his mom.
“Why is dad just sleeping?”, he asked.
” Don’t worry. Dad will wake up soon”, Dorris as-sured her son.
“Mom, you can never sleep for so long like this and leave little Ray”, the little boy said, pouting.
Dorris heart melts.
She pinched his cheeks.
” awn! You’re so cute, Raymond”, she said.
Of Course the little guy was glad to get a compliment from his mom.
He even gave her a cuter smile as a reward for complimenting him.
Over this years too, Dorris had been managing the company well. With the help of Jerome( Ray’s PA.), she did a great job. No one expected such an outcome from her management, even Ray’s father was glad and satisfied with her. Dorris was referred to as President Dalton at the company and everyone know her to be a cold woman. She believes in getting work done quickly. ha-rdly will she smile. People who knew her when she is still an artiste wondered if they are the same person. Dorris achieved a lot of things over this years and she was well known nationally and internationally as a business woman who managed to get past all business man and make her business grow. Dorris was a great strategist and the company is able to benefit from this.
Her dream is to be well know across cities, not as a business woman but as an artiste. Her dream crumbled but she did not allow herself to be crumbled with it. Now, when she look at her son, she will always be grateful that she chose to leave the entertainment industry. She knew that if she was still at the agency, she wouldn’t have time for her son and family. Though this is not a nice situation but she is kind of happy to have left the entertainment industry.
People kind of heard the rumors that Dorris gave birth to Ray’s child but no one knew the fact. Only those that are close relatives knew of Raymond’s existence. Dorris made sure to make Raymond live a low key life. She didn’t want him to live a complicated life but she knew that sooner or later she would have to tell everyone of his existence. So when Mr Dalton told her to let Raymond go public, she didn’t argue with him. They both decided to call the media on his forth birthday and announced him as the heir of the Dalton family.
Of course necessary security measures were carried out. Mr Dalton had hired a lot of bodyguards. Some are to work in the shadow while some will have to follow the boy around always.
That is the kind of lifestyle Dorris lived for the past years. Bodyguards are always with her.
Mrs Dalton on the other hand is her grandson hand and leg. She is always pampering the boy to no end. And when she heard that they are going to throw a big party for him on his birthday, she was more than excited. Dorris wanted to hire an event planner but the old woman did not allow her to.
“Don’t worry. Leave it to me. Every woman is an event planner if they really feel like planning it”, Mrs Dalton said.
” Mom, wouldn’t it be too stressful for you? I will be too busy to help you out”, she told the grandma.
“Just do your thing, Dorris. I am fine. When it comes to my grandson, I can not be stressed”, Ray mum said.
Dorris smiled.
” suit yourself then”, She said.
“Don’t worry leave it to me”, the woman was very excited. She is already imagining the day.
” I will make sure my grandson birthday will be the talk of the town. I am so excited, I can’t wait.”, the old woman was saying.
Dorris just shook her head.
