MR CLIFFORD
I smile as I received a call that Ben is dead. That idiot thinks he can out smart me. He has been the one stealing the company’s income. That’s why I had suspected him from the start.
Now I can continue being in this company as a CEO without an interruption. I sat down on the chair with so much smiles in my face.
I did a lot of things to put me in this seat so no one can take me out. I was still in smiles when Beau and Blake badge into my office with their hearts in their hands.
“What’s the matter? Why did you two have to badge into my office?” I ask looking angry.
“Haven’t you heard?” Beau said
“Heard about what?” I ask with a confuse face
“Haven’t you heard that Benjamin is dead? He was killed right in front of Rosa’s Eatery today” Blake said and I smile but quic-kly replace it with a surprise face like I don’t know that he’s dead.
“What!!!” I yelled
“I’m…I don’t know what he did to warrant death..Gosh…he wasn’t troublesome, he was a kind man” Beau said and look at him.
“Yeah…you’re right but what really happened?” I ask
“His boys told us that a car drove so r0ûghly to the restaurant and sh0t him then left immediately. His b©dy has been taken to a morgue” Blake said
“So Ben is dead?” I ask pretending to be sad bit inside of me, I’m in great joy.
Benjamin was a troublesome man because he couldn’t mind his business. He died as a result of him not minding his business. Nob©dy steps on my toes and go scot free…
CHARLOTTE
We were all seated at the restaurant staring at each other’s face. I was feeling irritated by the dre-adlock guy but I just have to maintain…at least for the plan to work.
“So why are we here Charlotte?” Piper ask breaking the silence
“I called you guys here to finalize the plan” I said staring at them.
“Why didn’t we do that the last time we c@m£ here?” Piper ask
“Common Piper…I have to take things slow so no one would suspect me” I said
“Who’s gonna suspect you?” She ask
“Shut up Piper…I’m doing this for you okay” I yell
“I’m just saying…I’m sorry okay” she said but I didn’t reply her. I turn to the dre-ad guy…I can’t even remember his name.
“So the plan is this…you’ll start monitoring her movement from henceforth…till you get a chance to kill her” I said
“I’m on it girl” the dre-ad guy said
“Alright.. I think this brings us to the end of the meeting” I said and carried my back with me standing up to leave.
I got to where my car was parked and Piper ran to meet me.
“Common Charlotte…i said I’m sorry” she said
“Piper…you know sometimes I wonder if you’re truly my friend because you don’t behave as such. Just look at who I’m trying to help here and she’s talking back at me in front of an idiot. I don’t blame you piper” I said and eyed her.
“I’m sorry okay…I couldn’t st©p myself from saying those ru-bbish…I think I’m drun!k” she said
“It’s okay Piper, you know I can’t stay mad at you for long…plea-se don’t try what you tried again because I might loose it” I said
“I promise babe” she said smiling and we hvgged each other.
MAYA
I got home feeling so pained. Why didn’t Mr Clifford die in place of Mr Ben? Mr Ben’s guards has alre-ady taken his dead b©dy to the morgue.
Mr Clifford is just too evil and I’ll make sure he pays for his evil deeds.
“Em…Maya, Mr Ryan calls for your pres£nce” a maid c@m£ to inform me and left immediately.
What does Mr Ryan wants this time? I don’t think I can face him right now. I’m not going to answer his calls. He should fire me if he wants.
Someone opened the door and close it back. I check who it was and I confirm that it was Lydia. Gosh…its been long we spoke because I’ve been away with Mr Ryan…trying to solve his problems.
“Hi miss pretty…So I finally saw my friend today” she said smiling as she walk up to me.
“Common st©p…but I’ve missed you real bad” I said and hvg her.
“I’ve missed you too buddy” she said and hvg me back.
“So how is your man?” she ask
“I don’t un-derstand” I said
“You’ve been going out with Mr Ryan…don’t tell me you guys have nothing in common” she said with a cunning smile.
“Of course not Lydia…I’m only trying to help okay” I said
“Help him do what exactly? Well since you don’t like him, I’ll make sure I get him for myself” she said smiling and using her hand to fan herself and I look at her in a jealous way.
“What? Why looking at me that way?” She ask when she noticed.
“Nothing okay…you can have him if you want” I said pretending not to be bothered.
“You know what Maya, You can deceive yourself but not me. You’re in love with Mr Ryan but you don’t want to admit it. Okay just look at the way you were looking at me just because I said I wanted Mr Ryan…Come out from your slumber girlfriend” she said and went to take something from her wardrobe and left.
Lydia isn’t wrong at all…I love Mr Ryan but I’m afraid that I’m loving the wrong person. He’s just to big for me. An ordinary girl like me loving a billionaire ? People would think that I’m a gold digger and I don’t want that.
Gosh…I have to get rid of this feeling…

RYAN
I sat in my room waiting endlessly for Maya to come but didn’t see her. Gosh…but I s£nt a maid to go call her in her room.
I know that she’ll start avoiding me. I just have to go to her myself. I took my phone and saw myself walking to her room.
“Hello brother” I saw Charlotte on the way and she said smiling and walking towards me
“Hey…” I said simply. I don’t un-derstand Charlotte these days because I don’t see her around the house anymore. I know that they’re still building her fashion house and she isn’t going for any job hunting.
Why will a Greenville go for job hunting when dad has a company? That’s foolishness if im ask.
“How has my brother been doing” she said and ra-p her hands around my n£¢k ma-king it look like we’re lovers.
“Common st©p it Charlotte…where have you been all these while?” I ask removing her hands from my n£¢k.
“I’ve been keeping my distance since you now love your maid more than your sister” she said and i was f0rç£d to laugh.
“Really? How do you know that I love my maid more than you?” I ask
“Ryan…you sl@pped me in front of your maid remember?” she said
“Okay Charlotte I’m truly sorry okay but is that why you think i love her more than you? plea-se just st©p that mentality okay” I said and she nod.
“So…where are you heading to?” She ask and i remember that she doesn’t like Maya. Actually i wonder why ?
“I’m just going for some walk out” I said
“Mind if I join?” She ask
“Sure” I said roll my eyes…Gosh! She just spoiled my plan.

Our walk out were great…we got to walk around the streets to know what was going on. Charlotte was just doing like the bit-ch that she is by not letting any commoner t©uçh her because of her status but the outting was fun though.
“Thank you so much Ryan..I really enjoyed this outting with you but those low lifes won’t just st©p being the plague that they are” she said
“Common Charlotte…you don’t talk about people that way” I said to her.

“I’ll be in my room Charlotte…I’m tired of your endless drama” i said walking inside the house.
“Common bro I’m sorry okay” she said running to catch up with me and she did. I st©p and look at her

“Its okay bro…I’ll be in my room” she said and walk away to her room. I sigh…I have to meet maya now so she can tell me what she’s avoiding me.
MAYA
I was still in the room contemplating whether to go to Mr Ryan’s room or not. Gosh…its almost getting dark. Maybe i should just go very early tomorrow morning.
Gosh…what if he starts questioning me about it tomorrow. I walk to the door and hold the door knob. Should i go or not? I’m so confuse. Maybe I should just go. Mr Ryan isn’t going to kill me…
I bend the door knob but I look as if it was twisted from the outside because it was very easy.
I open the door and it look as if the person opening was still trying to open it because the last thing i remember was that i was on the floor with someone on t©p of me.
I open my eyes which has been close the whole time and my eye ba-lls c@m£ in contact with that of Mr Ryan.
None of us was breaking the eye contact…his eyes were like diamond in the sky. He was looking so handsome and I wish i was up to his standard…but wait…he’s on t©p of me and the door is still open.
What if someone come here and see us like this? Then I’ll be in big trouble.
“Em…Mr Ryan…” I was saying it as if cat got my ton-gue but he got my signs and stood up and I did same and went to close the door immediately and I turn to him feeling so shy.
“Em…good day Mr Ryan” I said bowing my head. I dare not raise up my head to look at his.
“Why didn’t you answer my call Maya?” He said going straight to the point.
“Mr Ryan…I …” I said nervously.
“Maya…” He said and walk close to me and my nervousness increa-sed. Gosh!
“Mr Ryan…” I said with my heart beating so fast.
“Look Maya its not right for you to start avoiding me okay” he said
“Why won’t I avoid you when my heart keeps beating fas-ter each time I see you” I blurted it out without even realizing. Gosh…what did i just do?
“Repeat what you just said Maya” he said smiling. I know it…he’s never going to love me back. I didn’t expect a billionaire like him to love a commoner like me.
“Its nothing Mr Ryan I….”
“I love you too Maya…you’ve made me fall so ha-rd for you. You c@m£ into my life and took my breathe away. I nee-d you in my life to make me well again. With you in my life, I was able to forget about Amara. Something i couldn’t do for years now. plea-se Maya be my girlfriend” he said cutting me off and I turn to look at hus eyes.
Did Mr Ryan just confess his love for me? Or I’m imagining things again?
