Chapter twenty nine {29}

“I got rejected before I asked her to be my girlfriend”, Tyra said to dan.
“Maybe she was not just expecting it, learn from my experience”, Dan replied and liam walked to their table.
“Hey guys!”, he greeted but only dan replied.
“Do you like Riley?”, Tyra asked. He had akways wanted to ask him.
“No…..”
“Them why do you keep getting close to her. What of the girl you like?”, he asked again.
“I just like being with Riley. Eva is the person I like”, he replied.
“I don’t like Riley, I was doing all that because I wanted to see your reaction”, liam added.
“My reaction? Why?”
“Actually Riley likes …… no she should be the one to tell you. I just wanted to know if you like Riley”, He said.
“So what did you notice?”, Dan asked.
“It’s obvious that he likes her”, He replied but tyra rolled his eyes.
“Can’t we just stop talking about Riley? Am so sick of hearing it?”, Tyra snapped.

“You have no problem Ril tyra likes you too”, Hel and eva said happily but Riley wasn’t looking very happy.
“Why are you not happy? You don’t like him anymore?”
“I am not sure – I don’t think it’s right”, She replied sadly.
“You are not sure what’s right?”
“Dating him. I don’t know how the relationship will be”, She replied and her friends nodded in un-derstanding.

Next morning
Tyra’s house.
Cris had already gone to school but tyra was still preparing.
Going late to school has always being routine.
“Tyra please give me a moment”, Red said looking like someone who hasn’t slept from weeks.
Tyra wasn’t even sure if red has been sleeping at home and he didn’t care.
“I don’t have any moment to spare for a monster like you”, Tyra fired.
“Please tyra give me a chance”, Red pleaded but tyra wasn’t ready to listen.
In fact it angered tyra that he was still standing here to listen to him.
“Tyra am really sorry for what I have done. I know that sorry can never do anything or bring grace back but I want to make it up to you”, Red said .
“Well it’s too late now. If you want my forgiveness then bring mom back to life”, Tyra said trying to control his emotion.
“Am sorry, this is all my fault, if only I had forgiven grace. I was just too angry with her that I hurt everyone”
” you don’t nee-d to explain to me because you are not my father and will never be my father”, Tyra said.
“Why did you accept mom if you just going to hurt her? You know what? I hate the both of you. I hate mom for leaving me, I hate you for coming into my life and I hate myself for coming into existence”, he said and left angrily.

Riley could see that tyra was very very anger at something but she doesn’t know why.
“What If he has changed his mind? And doesn’t like her again or never liked her in the first place?”, she thought
“Miss Riley do you mind what you are thinking? We are curious to know”, the teacher said and everyone faced her.
“Hmm. I …. Am sorry”, she pleaded.
She knows she’s in trouble because their history teacher is very strict with the teaching.
“Get out of this cl@$$, i want serious students not the person that is not interested in school”, She yelled and Riley walked out in embarr@$$ment.
Tyra stood up and was walking out when the teacher said.
“Where are you going to tyra?”
“Out of your cl@$$. I wasn’t listening too”,,he replied and walked out and everyone looked at him surprised.
Tyra looked for riley all around but didn’t see her. He didn’t know why he was looking for her but he wanted to see her.
He finally got to the libr@ry and then he saw her here. Where he had never expected her to be.
“Why is this so ha-rd to un-derstand?”, she said to herself.
“I can help you”, Tyra offered and she looked up.
“No…. thank you but I can manage, I don’t want to trouble you”, She replied but what he said to her kept ringing in her ears.
“Has he change his mind about me?”, she wondered.
“I meant what I said yesterday, I meant very word”, he said as if he read her mind.
“Do you feel the same way?”, he continued when she said nothing.
“What about alexa? You guys are always together”, Riley asked.
“there’s nothing between us. I am not pla-ying you my feelings are pure”
“You don’t nee-d to explain to me because it’s not going to work”, She replied.
“Riley please….. what can I do to make you love me? Am sick and tired of being alone”, Tyra said.
“You are not alone. You have your brother and dan”, she replied.
“I don’t have a mother and a father, no one wants me Riley”, He said.
“Tyra you are so wrong. You have people who love you but you don’t just notice. I like you tyra …. I like you so much but….
“But what?”
“It feels awkward tyra. I didn’t expect it to turn out this way”, She said.
“So are you saying yes. …..
” I – I ……”, she was saying but tyra placed his li-ps on hers.
This kizz was different from the other two. This one had emotions in it.
Riley returned the kizz and they kizzed like their life depended on it.
They broke the kizz when they were out of breath.
“I am sorry if I kizzed you without your permission, I …….
“It’s ok. It’s isn’t our first time”, She said turning her focus to the book in front of her.
Of course she wasn’t concentrating, she was just looking at it and pretending to un-derstand since tyra wouldn’t leave.
Her hands were trembling but she tried her best to hide it but unfortunately tyra noticed.
Am I making you uncomfortable?
“Of course not”, she replied.
“Ok then let me help you with this”, he said as he collected her book to explain to her”

“Hey! Are you free now, let’s go to the cafeteria together “, liam told eva.
“Am not hungry”, She replied
“Why? You haven’t been there today or should I get what you’d eat”, He asked but she didn’t reply.
“Are you upset about something?’
“Do you like Riley?”, she asked.
“Why do you ask?”
“Because I want to know, I don’t want to make the same mistake of falling for the person that likes my friend”, she replied.
“No….. you are not making that mistake because it’s you I like, Riley knows….. I already told her”, He answered.
“So why were you behaving weird at the pa-rty? You even hu-gged her”.
“I just wanted to make tyra jealous and it wasn’t totally my idea, Dan suggested that”
“So you don’t like her?”
“It’s obvious it’s you I like Eva. Remember when I told a girl on the court that I liked a boy, it was you I was talking about”, he explained and she blus-hed
“It’s never thought you’d be jealous over that small thing but I like it”, He said and Eva frowned.
“I wasn’t jealous, I was just curious”
” Your Jealousy was more than your curiosity”, He replied but she said nothing.
“Let’s just go”, He said dragging her and Riley entered the cl@$$ blus-hing very ha-rd.
She said nothing and went to her seat and everyone stared at her.
“Why you think she’s blus-hing this ha-rd?”, Eva asked liam and just as he was about saying a word tyra followed.
The same expression on riley’s face appeared on his.
Everyone’s gaze left Riley and went to tyra.
Everyone knows that tyra rarely smiles ever since the summer camp.
“They are probably together”, liam said.
“Hey is there something I nee-d to know?”, Dan asked.
“No”, He replied bluntly and dan.
“What happened between you two?”
“I don’t know what you are talking about?”
“You don’t know what am talking about? Tyra am not dumb”, he replied.
“Oh you are not? You should have told me earlier “, Tyra replied and Dan punched him on his arm.
“We just talked that’s all”, he said blus-hing more.
“Are you sure that’s all? Or you guys are already dating?”
“That’s all you nee-d to know for now”, he replied and stole a glance at Riley.
“Babe I have been worried about you since, Are you ok??”
“Alexa am fine”, he said trying to remove his hand from hers and dan laughed.
“Crazy bi*ch”, riley muttered.
“You have been acting weird since summer camp, Is It because of riley?”, she said.
“She has nothing to do with this”, he replied and Alexa scoffed.
“It’s has everything to do with Riley, in fact they are already together”, Dan replied.
When did –
“They are so much in love and that’s why tyra is avoiding you because he doesn’t want any thing to be an obstacle to him”, Dan added and cut tyra off.
When dan saw the shock on alexa face, he smi-rked.
“You love Riley? You have always hated her and liked me, so what happened?”
That’s-
“That’s where you got it all wrong, Tyra has never liked you. You were always his item that he would use anytime he wants. You never matter to him”, Dan replied cutting in off again which made tyra glare at him.
Before dan could say another thing, Alexa slapped tyra ha-rd on his face.
“You will surely pay for this, Riley will never be happy with you because I will make sure of that”, She said and walk away.
“Good riddance to bad ru-bbish”, Dan said happily.
“Who asked you to reply her?”, Tyra said chasing dan all around.
“I was just helping”
“Helping? And I received a slap all thanks to you, let me return the slap cos you were the one who did the talking”, Tyra said.
“I know you can’t harm me because am your best friend”, Dan said but didn’t stop running.
“Oh Really? Why don’t you wait and see”, Tyra replied.
“Gosh! These kids are annoying”, Helen said to riley.
“I am still surprised that you liked dan and I didn’t notice”, She replied but hel said nothing.
“Yours is more surprising, who would have thought you would’ve liked tyra. You guys always fought like you were going to kill each other any time soon”, Helen said.
“When did you start liking him?”
“It’s personal, I will tell you later”, She promised and helen nodded and turn her attention on tyra and dan.
They had stopped running but dan was covering his face so that tyra wouldn’t slap him.
“Where’s Eva?”
“She’s with liam, they went to the cafeteria”, Heken replied and she nodded.
Later dan with tyra came to meet them that they should all go to the cafeteria together.

Riley and kept staring at each other in the cafeteria.

“Are you guys doing staring competition or what?”, Dan complained.
“I don’t think they are hungry”, Dan said and ate out of tyra’s food.
“Tyra your food is getting cold, enough of the staring”, liam said calmly tapping tyra while Heken tapped Riley.
“Are you guys together or what?”, Eva asked.
“Yes” “no”, they replied together.
Tyra said yes and Riley said no.
“Are we together already?”, Ril asked.
“Are we not together? “, Tyra asked.
“You didn’t ask me out so we are not together”, Ril said.
“But we kizzed already, isn’t that what couples do?”, Tyra said and everyone on the table gasped.
Immediately tyra realized that he has a mistake talking about the kizz cos dan wouldn’t leave him alone.
“You guys kizzed?”, liam asked to confirm.
“When did you kizz?’
“Who made the move first?”
“Where did you guys kizz?”
“How was the kizz?”
They kept throwing questions on them.
“Hey!!! “, Tyra screamed and they kept quiet. In fact the whole cafeteria kept quiet and looked at him.
“Let’s eat the food is getting cold”, he said.
“Who tou-ched my food?”, Tyra asked changing his face to that of a wild animal ready to devour his prey.
No one answered and he shouted.
“Who tou-ched my food? “, he shouted and everyone on the table flinched.
“I have to use the restroom”, Dan said trying to excuse himself.
“No one leaves until I find that person “, he yelled and dan sat down immediately.
“It was dan”, Helen said and dan’s eyes wide-ned immediately.
He didn’t expect his own girlfriend to rat him out.
Dan’s eyes were fixed on helen, he didn’t want to look at tyra.
“Dan you devil-“, Tyra said and started chasing dan all around the cafeteria.
“They are at it again”, liam said and ate out of tyra’s food also.
“I think you want a death wish also”, Eva said.
“The food is getting cold, Am doing him a favor by eating it”, He replied and winked at eva.
