Chapter fifteen {15}

“Tyra I know something is not right,You don’t concentrate anymore. Is something wrong? You can always talk to me”, The teacher said.
“I am sorry ma”, Tyra apologized not knowing the reason he was anyway. He just wanted to leave immediately.
“You can talk to me, I am ready to listen”, She concluded and he released a breath of relief.
“Finally”, He muttered.

As Tyra was walking back to cl@$$, he met Riley. He glared at her and she rolled her eyes.
“Looks like your wounds are getting better prat”, She said.
“Maybe you were expecting it to be worse”, Tyra thought.
“Well thanks to you doctor Riley, I am better now”, He said sarcastically and Riley for-ced a smile.
“I guess you haven’t suffered enough”, She said after he left and then Sean appeared.
“Riley please can I speak to you for a moment”, He pleaded.
“No…. I don’t have the time”, She lied. She was actually happy that Sean finally wants to apologize.
“Riley please. …. I won’t waste your time”.
“OK be fast about it because I changed my mind”, She replied.
“About our relationship. …… Let’s have a break, I think it will be a great help to the both of us”, Sean said and it to-re riley’s heart into pieces.
“You want us to break up?”, She asked to be sure of what she just heard.
“No…. we should take a break”, He corrected.
Sean has decided to take a break from Riley not because he wants to but he is bring for-ced to do so.
He wants Riley to realize her mistake of giving Tyra all her attention and not him. He wanted Riley to chase after him.
Though he hasn’t thought of the consequence of his action.
He just wants Riley to choose between Tyra and him, He wants to show Tyra that he matters to Riley more.
“Why?”, She asked with a broken voice.
“I want to give you time to think about who you will choose, Either Tyra or me”, He replied.
“Why are you even dragging Tyra into this? You know I hate tyra, don’t you?”, Riley shouted and it started getting people’s attention.
“Because it’s all about tyra. Why do you give Tyra so much attention? What you only care about is always about Tyra and most of the time both of you spend time together”, He replied and Riley stared at him in disbelief.
“You think I like tyra? Or you think I chose him over you? Sean are you jealous?
“Yes am jealous …… jealous of tyra. He gets all your attention and I struggle to, He might be your enemy but he’s very lucky to get all your attention”, He said.
“But you know it’s you I like and not tyra, Sean I like you very much. I can’t believe you are breaking up with me because of tyra”, She said as tears filled her eyes.
“Riley am sorry but I think we nee-d this break”, He said and Riley slapped him.
“You bastard….. You are a coward, you are giving up on me just because of your jealousy, you will surely regret this”, She yelled.
“Looks like someone has gotten what she deserves. Sean doesn’t deserve someone like you anyway”, Alexa said but Riley ignored and left in anger.
She left in anger looking for tyra. She went to the cl@$$ and found him staring at the floor alone. No one was in cl@$$ and she walked up to him and slapped him.
“It’s all your fault tyra. It is always your fault, you are the reason for every bad thing that is happening to me, You always want to see me sad, don’t you? I guess you are happy now”, She said crying.
“Why don’t you just dissappear from this life? You are the reason everyone is leaving me Helen…. Eva….. and now sean”, She added.
“You think I don’t want to dissappear from this life huh? If I had the power to do so, I would have. I don’t want to be here too Riley”, He said with so much sadness and left the cl@$$.

“Ril are you ok? We heard what happened”, Helen said when they met Riley crying in the libr@ry.
The libr@ry was the safest place for her to cry. She doesn’t want to be the subject of discussion for the whole week.
Alexa won’t stop until she finally brings down Riley. Riley didn’t want to open her phone because if she does, it would only make matters worse.
Alexa would have posted all kinds of ru-bbish about her.
“I am sorry about what happened “, Eva added.
“Are you happy now? You were against the relationship anyway, Am sure you must be happy that he broke up with me. Are you here to see me suffering?”, She asked.
“No Ril….. We weren’t against your relationship, We were just angry that you didn’t tell you about it but we are not anymore”, Heken said.
“And we would never wish for Sean to break up with you because you are our friend”, Eva added.
“I don’t care anymore, We are no longer friends……… You were never there for me so please just leave me alone. I want to be alone”, She said.
“Ril we want to help………
“Just leave!!!!”, She shouted and they reluctantly left.

Tyra checked his phone and the news of sean and riley’s break up were all over.
The video was posted and people commented.
“I think she really deserve it”
“Sean doesn’t deserve her”
“Thank goodness Sean finally opened his eyes”
“I guess it’s my opportunity to win Sean over”
“I can’t believe she wants two guys”
“I wonder what Sean sees in her”
“I can’t believe she used her filthy hand to slap sean”
“I wish I was here to teach her a lesson”
Different comments kept on popping but Tyra just off his phone.
He was already beginning to have headache.

It was only Heken in cl@$$ with few students. Eva wasn’t in cl@$$, She had gone to the cafeteria.
Helen was busy writing when Dan walk up to her.
He had been wanting to confess his feelings to her. He doesn’t want it to be too late.
He was nervous but he had to do it.
“Hi”, He greeted nervously.
She replied “hi”.
“Helen I have something to say, he said with a de-ep breath and continued.
“I like you Helen. I really do, I want you to be my girlfriend”, He said and blame himself for not putting it in the way he had practiced.
Everyone were surprised but Helen was more than surprised. Who could have thought that Dan also likes her?
She was about smiling and saying yes and then she remembered Riley. He was Tyra’s best friend, Riley would surely get mad.
He also came at the wrong time, Riley just got dumped and she doesn’t want to do anything that would hurt her friend.
Everyone were waiting for Helen’s reply. She badly wanted to say yes but she can’t.
People were already making videos of them.
“Riley will surely see it if I say yes throu-ghthis video”, She thought.
“I can wait. You don’t have to answer me now Helen”, He said though he wanted to hear her answer but she can’t for-ce her , can he?
“No”, Helen for-ced herself to say.
“You don’t nee-d time?”, He asked
“My answer is ……. she took a de-ep breath . My answer is no”, She said and everyone gasped.
Who on earth can reject dan?
“Am sorry but I don’t like you back, Am really sorry”, She said and walked out leaving dan dumbfounded.

Chapter sixteen {16}
“I can’t believe dan got rejected”
“I wish he would just ask me out”
“What does he see in Helen anyway”
Everyone kept whispering to each other. In fact the news was all over.
And that was exactly what Helen wanted to avoid. Why did she even reject her?
“Helen are you ok? I heard what happened. Why did you reject him? You don’t like him anymore?”, Eva said to helen.
“Eva…. I didn’t want to say no bit I thought of Riley. She wouldn’t be happy about it”, She said almost crying.
“Helen….. I know you care about Riley very much but you should care about yourself too. Don’t sacrifice your happiness because of anyone”, Eva said.
“I don’t know Eva ….. I really like dan so much but do you think he would give up on me?”
“Dan likes you too but he would think you don’t like him back and he would want to move on”, Eva replied.
“Just do what your hearts says”, She advised.

“You don’t nee-d to be sober because of a girl. At least you have me.”, Tyra said
“I think she doesn’t like me. I thought she did, I was so stupid to actually think she liked me”, Dan said as tyra pat his back.
“You can feel free to cry on my shoulder”, Tyra offered and Dan glared at him.
“If only you were positive, Maybe this wouldn’t have happened”, Dan said pla-yfully.
“Are you indirectly blaming me for all your problems also? I don’t know why everyone keeps blaming me for everything”, Tyra Said.
“I will try ha-rder maybe she was just confused earlier or because she wasn’t expecting it”, dan said and tyra rolled his eyes.
“Suit yourself”.
“Summer camp is just a week from now, Are you going this year? I promise you it will be fun”, Dan said.
” I am not sure yet. I don’t think I can come this year”, He replied remembering what his dad had told him.
His dad already said he wasn’t going.
“There is next year but I really hope you can come this year”, Dan said a bit sad and tyra for-ced a smile.

“Tyra I didn’t see you yesterday night, I kept waiting for you but I slept off”, Cris said.
“Are you mad at dad again?”
“He’s not my dad, he is your dad. You are his only son”, Tyra replied pissed.
He doesn’t want to hurt Cris but Cris keeps pestering him.
“Didn’t you hear what he said? He said am not his son, he isn’t my real father”, Tyra said.
“But you are still my brother”, He said and tyra looked at him perplexed.
Why does Cris love me very much, Tyra wondered.
He hasn’t even been treating him well.
“Cris go to your room, I want to speak to your brother”, Grace said ad soon as she entered.
This might be only opportunity she might have to explain things to tyra.
“Tyra can I talk to you?”, She asked but he didn’t reply and she took that as a yes.
“Tyra believe me it wasn’t really my fault. I married red but he wasn’t treating me well and then I met your father.
He was very sweet and kind, I couldn’t help myself but to fall in love with him. I was so naive then. One day, we made a mistake. We were both drunk and we ……. we spent the night together.
When I realized that I loved only your father and was pregnant with you for him, I decided to leave red to live with him but I made a mistake.
Your father wasn’t the man he was when I met him….. He changed completely and he’s a criminal. He was a human trafficker and so I decided to run away with you since I wasn’t sure of your future with him, who knows he might decide to sell his son.
I had no where to go to, I decided to return to red. Tho he didn’t want to accept me but after so much pleading and begging he reluctantly accepted.
Since then he has been feeding and sheltering you.
Tyra I am really so sorry that because of my stupid mistake, You are paying for it.
There’s no day I don’t regret metting your father. I was so stupid”, She kept on saying while tyra was trying to control his anger.
“All these happened and yet you didn’t think I deserve to know the truth. No wonder I was always treated like trash. Like I wasn’t pa-rt of this family”, Tyra said angrily.
“Tyra am sorry ……… It’s all my fault”, Grace said.
“No… it’s not your fault that you fell for the wrong man , that you were deceived and that you decided to live with the man who you thought would make you happy … but it’s all your fault that I was being treated like trash… mom you couldn’t even stand for me, you just let dad punish me for your mistake”, His said while his mom only sob.
“Tyra am really sorry …..
“Mom I want to be alone please. …… , he cut in.

# next day
Everywhere was just dull.
Tyra….Riley……. Dan…. Helen…..sean… Eva. …. were all moody.
Nobody talked much, Dan kept glancing at helen. He couldn’t take his eyes off her while helen was confused.
“Maybe Eva is right. She doesn’t nee-d to sacrifice her happiness for the friendship that Riley doesn’t value”, She thought but she couldn’t do that to riley.
She turned to look at dan and she found him looking at her and she looked away immediately.
“Has he been looking at me?”, She wondered.
Even during sport time, Riley wasn’t active. She wasn’t in the mood for sport.
Tyra had always wanted sean to break up with Riley to see her unhappy but not anymore. He also knows how it feels like to be heart broken.
The day the project everyone had been working on came, Tyra and Riley didn’t prese-nt their project like they had worked on it.
They prese-nted like they were for-ced to speak at gunpoint.
Dan and helen were the worst. Dan kept stammering. What he had never done before and Helen was scared.
Sean and Eva…. Sean didn’t talk much, Eva did most of the talking. They didn’t really met frequently for the project.
Soon the prese-ntation was over, it was summer camp now…..
Everyone kept talking about the summer camp, No one would surely want to miss it.
The summer camp was like a time from school activities. It was more of social activities. It is an event held every year and it is for five days.
Everyone who attends the camp will surely have a story to tell. It is always silken with so much fun but unfortunately tyra gad never had any chance to attend any.
He wasn’t always allowed to because red says he’s a nuisance, he might go and ruin his reputation and he wants to keep a close eyes on him but now that tyra knows the truth, he knows that red is only punishing him and nothing else.
“I will surely go this year”, He vowed.
