? DIANA ?
We got home and got in to still see the door locked, and I sighed looking at Enoch.
“He is still there Enoch.” I said sadly and he looked at me.
“Maybe I should do the talking now.” He said and I nodded.
He moved to the door and was about knocking it when the door opened and Isaac came out.
We were startled at first but later gained our ground.
“What are you doing here?” He asked looking surprised when he saw Enoch.
“I came to talk to you.” He said and he looked at me. I nodded for him to listen to him.
“Diana I am hungry. I have cried out all the strength in me.” He said and I smiled.
“I will make something for us. You should catch up with your brother.” I said and he smiled faintly.
I walked to the kitchen and began to think of what to prepare. But no ideas were coming, I was too happy to see Isaac come out.
Then I remembered I have a meal book where I could find something nice to prepare for the new found brothers.
I walked to the room and went straight to my drawer, where I always kept the manual. I picked it up and there I saw a chocolate in the drawer.
“Hmmmm who put this here?” I thought looking around. I held the pamphlet in my hand and walked out of the room with the chocolate on the other hand.
I got to the living room and I saw Isaac and Enoch were talking already. They seemed cool and I was happy.
I wanted to ask if he put the chocolate in the drawer but then I thought twice. I shouldn’t disturb the brotherly union.
I wanted to go away when Enoch stopped me.
“Is the chocolate for me?” Enoch asked and I looked back.
“Ahhh. Yes, you can have it.” I said throwing it to him.
“Thanks. You care for?” He asked Isaac and he shook his head.
“No. I just want to catch up with life and things. Chocolate won’t help.” He said and he nodded.
“Thank you Diana.” He said again before opening it. I smiled and walked back to the kitchen to get the meal done.
? ENOCH ?
“So how do you feel about this whole mother news?” I asked taking a bite from the chocolate. To be honest, the taste was superb.
“I don’t know. I feel broken, Like I am in a trance.” He said and I nodded.
“Truth be told,I don’t know or un-derstand how you feel. But when I overheard mother saying all this to Diana, I was broken.”
“I kept remembering how bad I have always treated you, and how ha-rd i have always tried to gain Diana to myself.”
“If I knew you were my brother, I would have never done that to you Isaac. I have always wanted a brother but after Mother had me, father has been traveling all over the world. It’s just like he doesn’t have our time.” I said.
“You mean my stepfather.” He said and I nodded smiling.
“Yes. I am sorry for bombarding you with my own problems, I know it lot to process.” I said and he shook his head.
“It’s fine Enoch. It’s just so surprising you accept me as your Elder brother, well step brother.” He said and I smiled taking another bite.
“I have always noticed that anytime you are around mother she seems so happy. I knew there was a connection, but I never thought the connection would be the mother and son own.”
“I had always hated you because you seemed to have everything even though you were poor. A good and loving girlfriend, nice friends and a wonderful home.”
“I was jealous because I was just rich, nothing more than that.” I stated.
“Don’t think that way. Your mother loves you.” He said and I smiled.
“Our mother, not just my mother anymore.” I said and he nodded.
“Yeah right. Our mother, she loves you. Never question that love she has for you.” He said and I nodded.
“Okay big brother. I don’t know but I feel happy this is real.” I said and he looked at me.
“Me too.” He replied when it was like something stung me in my tummy making me wince.
“Are you okay?” He asked and I nodded pretending to be fine.
And when I thought the pain would die down it increa-sed. The chocolate fell off my hand and I grabbed my tummy.
I began to sweat profusely and my vision became blurry too.
“Enoch!” Issac called but I couldn’t reply.
“Diana!!! Get me water!!” He yelled In a shaky voice.
“I am…” I said and I began to cough out blood.
“Oh no! Enoch.” Diana yelled in terror and I guess the gl@$$ of water fell from her hand.
“Hold on Little brother. I will get you to the hospital.” Issac said but his voice sounded far away.
I tired to smile and just then my eyes closed, and I fell unconscious.

? ISAAC ?
“Diana you should call mother now.” I said lifting Enoch over my shoulders. I rushed out of the house and Diana followed behind with her phone.
“She would be at the hospital as soon as possible.” She said and I nodded stopping a taxi.
“The nearest hospital.” I said placing Enoch gently at the back before sitting. Diana too the front seat.
I placed his hand on my lap-s, his shirt was stained with his blood and so was mine. I tried so ha-rd not to cry because I was tired of crying.
“He will be fine Isaac. Your Brother will be okay.” Diana said from the front seat and I nodded smiling, holding his face in mine.
“Diana if anything goes wrong with him, I swear I will kill anyone behind this.” I said in anger and she nodded.
“Don’t worry. Nothing will go wrong.” Diana said.
We got the hospital and I climbed down the car with Enoch in my hand. Diana ran into the hospital to get the nurses, and they came rushing to us with a stretcher.
They placed him on the stretcher and pushed him inside with great speed. I followed behind them and when they got to the Emergency Unit, I was stopped.
“Please let me in.” I said to the nurse staring at Enoch as they pushed him in, putting some tubes on him already.
“You can’t go in.” She said entering the door.
“He is my brother and he nee-ds me right now. I have never being there for him before, please let me be now.” I said and the nurse paused.
“Get a garment. And a glove.” She said pointing to the right side. I saw the robe and gloves, I picked them up and wore then in haste, including the hair cap.
“You are not to go close to him during the operation. Maybe your prese-nce would help him fight stronger.” She said and I nodded.
“Thank you so much Nurse.” I said looking back at Diana.
“Don’t worry, I will be fine here. Go help your brother.” She said smiling and I nodded walking into the ward with the nurse and she drew the curtain over the door.
“Stay here. The lights are dim here, you won’t be seen on time. Please don’t come out of here, I am not supposed to do this but I had to seeing you that way.” She said and I nodded standing at the corner.
“Thank you so much.” I said with my eyes fixed on Enoch. The nurse left my side to Enoch and they began to do their thing.
More tears dropped down my eyes as I watched him lay lifeless and totally unhelpful on the bed. And the most annoying thing is that I don’t know what to do to help. I was as useless as Enoch.
I kept my watery eyes opened staring at them. There was a monitor next to them. It had this sound that I really didn’t un-derstand but the doctors were calm with it. So I guessed it wasn’t a bad thing.
I cleaned my tears and looked up again and this time the doctors were looking restless. I wanted to go to them but then I knew that I would be jeopardizing the work of the nurse that helped me.
I watched him carefully and when the noise from the Monitor changed I was so scared and wanted to grab him and hu-g him not to go but I was stock, I couldn’t.
Soon, they began to hit his che-st with some sort of….. I don’t know. It raised him up severally but his eyes were still shut.
Then the noise of the Monitor changed and this time it wasn’t a beeping down. I sighed in relieve and just when I thought everything was okay, they pulled up the cloth over his face.
“Wait!! What is going on!!! He won’t be able to breathe well. Let him go.” I said running to Enoch but they held me in the process.
“You are not supposed to be here.” The doctors said.
“Does that matter now? The cloth should be at the ne-ck or che-st level, not here! He won’t be able to breathe.” I said in tears.
“Get him out of here.” They said and two of them grabbed me and moved me out.
“Let me go! I nee-d to see my brother!” I yelled in tears.
“Isaac.” I heard someone call. I looked back and then I saw Danielle in tears.
“Mother.” I called running to her and hu-gging her ti-ghtly.
“Mother they covered his…. His face… With the sheet…. I told then he won’t breathe well but they…. Chased me outside.” I stammered in tears.
“Isaac calm down. I know you were terrified, but don’t worry. It will be fine.” She said moving my hair backwards and ki-ssing my forehead.
“Where are the parents?” The doctors asked interrupting us.
“I, it’s me.” Mother said.
“Let’s see in my office.” He said and I shook my head.
“No she is not going to the office. I am his brother and this is my girlfriend, we are all family. So let’s get this over with.” I said and mother nodded for him to go on.
“Ma’am your son ate a poisonous chocolate. It was a very concentrated one, half of his inner pa-rt was damaged before you brou-ght him here.” He said and tears rolled down our eyes.
“So what happened?” I asked in a shaky voice trying not to freak out.
“We lost him.” He said and I began to gasp trying to process what he said.
“You what?” Mother asked moving down slowly.
“Mom!” I yelled grabbing her.
“She is unconscious Isaac.” Diana said in tears.
“Do something!” I said grabbing the doctor. The nurses Came out and took her into another ward.
“I am going to kill him!” I said running out of the ward.
“Kill who!” Diana asked but I ignored her.

?I can’t do this anymore! You nee-d to stop doing this to that family. You are hurting them.
?And when did your emotions get the best of your operation? My wife shower concern for that bastard rather than anyone in my family! I nee-d her out of the way!
?I un-derstand you but we don’t have to kill her. We can come up with something better.
?Are you trying to tell me that you didn’t give her the chocolates?
?I couldn’t hand it over to her because it would be too obvious that it’s me.

?I don’t know,I left it in her room, she would definitely see it. If not now, later.

He hung up and I sighed, I turned to look back and I saw Isaac right there. It looked like he was crying. I guess the plan worked.
“Hey Isaac. When did you come in? I didn’t see you there.” I said Smiling and his face changed to an angry one.
“Why did you do it?” He asked and I furrowed my brows.
“What are you talking about?” I asked smiling, pretending not to un-derstand what he was saying.
“Why did you try to kill Diana!” He yelled.
“Isaac what is the meaning of all this accusations?” I asked angrily.
“Really? Accusations? I heard everything. I know you placed that Chocolate in Diana’s drawer.” He said and I sighed.
“Well I guess I didn’t pla-y my game well.” I said nonchalantly.
“What? Why would you do that to her? To us? To Rita! How dare you?” He yelled.
“Look here Isaac, don’t be stupid okay? Go home if you don’t want to get killed.” I said facing back.
“Really i don’t care if you kill me because you are a murderer. You just murdered my brother!” He yelled and I looked back in confusion.
“Diana didn’t take it?” I asked looking back.
“Of course she didn’t, and that’s why I am not poking an iron in your heart.” He said angrily.
“Who is your brother?” I asked and he moved closer to me.
“Someone you just killed. You know what is annoying, that I am too small to kill you. You are weigh stronger, but trust me you won’t go Scot free.” He said and dashed out of my office.
I sighed and hit my hand on the wall constantly.
“Shit!! I am not safe anymore! I nee-d to get out of here! Away from Elisha.” I said and began to pack my stuffs.
I knew Isaac was going to exp-ose me to the cops,and I am not ready to spend the rest of my life in jail.

I was still packing my stuffs when Isaac barged in looking so disfigured.
“Isaac what’s going on?” I asked in shock.
“Mom Enoch is dead.” He said in terror.
“What? I don’t get you.” I said shaking my head.
“Enoch is my brother, forget about the details for now. But you should know that Uncle John was behind the poisoning of Diana, and he tried it the second time but unfortunately Enoch took it instead.” He said and all I did was leave my mouth opened.
“But if john is the culprit why did he help us search for the culprit? Why did he do all those nice things?” I asked In a shaky voice.
“Because he wants to get un-der out skin. I have gotten him already, and he knows I know. But I nee-d your help now.” He said and I nodded nervously.
“Anything.” I said.
“I nee-d you to call him here before he runs out of town.” He said.
“Do you think he would come? Now his secrets are leaked?” I asked in tears.
“It’s you Mom. You don’t nee-d to tell me you have seen me. Tell him you miss him and you want to talk to him. Don’t make it suspicious.” He said and I nodded.
“Okay. I will do it.” I said and he nodded.
“By that time I would have gotten to the cops. Make sure you tie him down with your acts, please don’t act suspicious. He could kill you.” He said and I nodded.
“Got it. Please stay safe.” I said and he ki-ssed my forehead.
“Stay safe too.” He said running out of the shop and I bursted into tears. I was shattered.
