PASTOR FEMI’S POV CONTINUE
Lilian got into the room, I offered her a seat but she didn’t take it, she stood at akimbo staring at the whole room
LILIAN
babe this house smell so bad and unkempt…. but I won’t say anything now before you start scolding me.
(she said lifting her both hands up)
I wasn’t comfortable with the way she spoke because I didn’t want kendra to get offended.
Talking of kendra she wasn’t in the living room, I walked to her door to knock but before my hand could hit the door she opened it.
PASTOR FEMI
Kendra, I was about knocking your door.
KENDRA
you went out before? where did you go to?
PASTOR FEMI
i eeh, I went to pick my fiancee
before I could even finish Lilian left the living room and came to stand beside me in front of Kendra’s door holding my arm so ti-ghtly.
Kendra looked very surprised I could tell from the way she stare from Lilian back to me… she quickly replace the shock with a beautiful smile.
KENDRA
pastor, you should have inform me that your lady was coming so I could make something nice for her.
LILIAN
so you mean you didn’t cook? what have you been doing then? I thought they brou-ght you here so you could work as his maid?
that sounded like an insult and I didn’t like it
PASTOR FEMI
manners Lilian….. Kendra don’t worry too much, I will prepare something for her to eat…. you can go back inside.
KENDRA
No, no it’s fine….. please what will you like to eat? I’m going to prepare it
LILIAN
medicine after death, don’t worry I will let today pas-s, you can go inside as my baby has said.
I apologize to Kendra and pulled Lilian to the living room, picked her bag and took her to my room.
I waited until I heard Kendra’s door slam before I started to scold my woman
PASTOR FEMI
what was all that drama for? it wasn’t necessary and you know it.
LILIAN
and here he goes again with his lecture, babe this place does not only look dirty, it’s smells like a dead rat’s hole….
PASTOR FEMI

She said coming closer to me for a ki-ss, I was already pissed with what she did so I pulled my head away

I can only believe that if you prove it, common Lilian you didn’t even let me introduce you both before you started your drama.
LILIAN
I don’t un-derstand you femi, why are you scolding me too much because of that maid
PASTOR FEMI
who told you she’s a maid? that lady left her job just to be here, and for your information she didn’t want to come before, she refused to come with me….I guess the holy Spirit tou-ched her heart that’s why she followed me
LILIAN
whatever babe…. I’m staring, I want to go freshen up… I want my dinner before I come out.
Did Lilian get worse after spending six month in the state or I didn’t really take my time to know her very well before asking her to marry me?
I took her bag to my closet and kept it there, went into the kitchen to prepare her something to eat.
Some minutes later, she came to join me in the kitchen, she wore something very short that I could literally see her bu-tt outside, her top didn’t even cover her stomach.
I stare at her not lostfully but in a disappointing way…. like she could read my mind she said.
LILIAN
it’s so hot in this town babe, abuja is not as hot as this.
I didn’t say anything about her dressing, didn’t want her to feel like she isn’t welcome at my place.
We talked about different stuffs while she just sat down without helping out…. soon her dinner of jollof rice was ready and I served her the food…. she insisted we ate together in the same plate…..i didn’t argue since it wasn’t the first time we were eating in the same plate.
I couldn’t eat without calling kendra, I wanted to go to Kendra’s door to invite her to dinner but Lilian stopped md.
LILIAN
can’t we just have this time to ourselves babe? she can eat when we are done.
I kept her a ha-rd stare and she let go of my arm…. I went to kendra’s door and knocked and she opened up.
PASTOR FEMI
hey, dinner is ready….. come let’s eat
KENDRA
thanks I already ate.
PASTOR FEMI
are you sure?
KENDRA
of course, please enjoy your meal…. goodnight pastor.
she said and went back into her room and locked the door… I returned back to the dinning to seat, li has already started eating… I looked at her face and she had this “thank God she didn’t accept to eat with us look” I didn’t say anything I just sat down and joined her in eating.
We finished eating and she took the plate to the kitchen, she came back so quickly that made me ask her if she didn’t wash the plate we used
LILIAN
why should I wash the plate we used? wait, wait, don’t tell me you have been the one washing your plate after food…. then tell me why that girl is here?
I didn’t answer her, I got up, went to the kitchen and washed the plate, cu-ps and spoons that we used
I dried my hands and joined her in the living room where she put a dance video and started to dance.
KENDRA’S POV
I was shocked when pastor femi told me he went to bring his fiancee, don’t get me wrong, it’s not as if I don’t want him to have a woman or something I was just surprised he never mentioned it to me
The lady is very beautiful, and tall but she isn’t well brou-ght up at all…. no no maybe it’s the anger in me that is already judging her so wrongly, I’m not going to judge her until I know the real her first.
Pastor avoided me all throu-ghyesterday because I ki-ssed a man, but today he brou-ght his own woman to tension me, what do he think we are? kids? oh please I don’t feel intimidated at all, I’m a very beautiful and s-×y lady and I could get any man of my choice.
I wanted to sleep but I couldn’t sleep, the noise his lady was making with the loud music was just too much…. I hide myself un-der my duvet so I could sleep but I couldn’t, the music was too loud.
I tossed from one side of the bed to the other till it finally crossed my mind to video call my sister on Skype…. I brou-ght out my laptop and connected my hotsp-ot and called her.

PASTOR FEMI’S POV
After lilina did all her dance moves, we finally decided to retired to bed…. I took my bath and joined her in bed.
We talked for a while, I asked her all about her trip in the state and she was so excited to tell me all about it.
but I was a little disappointed when she told me she would travel soon again, this time she will be traveling to Germany with her boss.
Well I know her to be a working clas-s lady so what could I have said? sometimes I can’t help but ask myself would Lilian make herself available for God to use? would she seat beside me at the church as the pastor’s wife?
That isn’t necessary, when we get to that bridge I’m sure we will cross it.
I came down from the bed and went down on me knees, she didn’t join me, she just laid staring at me.
PASTOR FEMI
what are you doing?
LILIAN
I should be asking you that
PASTOR FEMI
I’m about to pray, so come down let’s pray.
LILIAN
but we ain’t sleeping yet, are we?
PASTOR FEMI
of course we are….it’s late and I’m feeling tired and sleepy….. down now
She hesitated before she join me on the ground, I said a few prayer and we climbed back to the bed.
I turned off the lights and told her goodnight.
LILIAN
babe?
PASTOR FEMI
yes
LILIAN
do you know this is our first time sleeping together…. in the same room I mean.
PASTOR FEMI
Yeah I know
LILIAN
don’t you think we should make good use of this opportunity?
PASTOR FEMI
How do you mean?
Instead of replying me, she moved closer to me, grabbed my face in the dark and ki-ssed me.
I rejected her ki-ss earlier because I was very pissed at what she said about kendra, but I wasn’t pissed anymore.
so I ki-ssed her back, seeing that the ki-ss was going out of normal I stopped immidiately.
LILIAN
(her voice was calm)
why did you stop babe?
PASTOR FEMI
this is going rather to far, I think we should stop
LILIAN
stop? I don’t see what’s wrong in having s-× with the man I intend to marry…. look baby I’m wearing your engagement ring…. let’s just do this please
She said trying to climb my body but I quickly got up from the bed.
PASTOR FEMI
behave yourself li, we ain’t the only one in this house.
LILIAN
really? now I get it, you are refusing to have s-× with me because you have been fuc-king that bit*ch right? tell me, how many times have you slept with her?
(she sounded so angry)
I was shocked, why would she he this angry because I’m refusing to have s-× with her? is it because she’s feeling insecure or because she’s se-x starved.
PASTOR FEMI
I can’t believe you just said that to me, I have know you for how long now? have I in any point in time try to touch you? you think I don’t get ar-ose too? you think my blood doesn’t boil too? like I don’t have urges too? goddamn it I do but I’m controlling myself because se-x before marriage is erong…. why is that too difficult for you to un-derstand?
(I yelled back)
she was calm for a while, she didn’t say anything, she kept staring at the floor…. o took in a de-ep breath to calm my nerves.
I climbed the bed and held her shoulder
PASTOR FEMI
we would have gotten married four months ago but you refuse to come back home, your job was more important than our wedding…. so why are you so mad at me for doing the right thing? since the death of my wife I haven’t met with any other woman… I love you li you should believe that okay
I ki-ssed her forehead, I pushed her to lie on the bed gently and laid beside her, I carried her head and placed it on my che-st.
I started to sing to her and soon she slept off…… I thanked God for saving me from the hands of temptation that night
The next morning I woke up feeling very bad, since I accepted to follow the Lord, it was the first time I slept and had a nightmare, a very bad one.
In the dream I fell into a de-ep pit, pit filled with neils and every sharp objects… I called for help but no one listened, I begged and begged but no one came to save me…. soon flood came from nowhere and the pit was getting filled with water, it looks like it would drown me…. I try to climb out of the pit but the more I try the taller the pit gets….. I didn’t come out from that out till I woke up…. immidiately I opened my eyes I heard from the Lord ” even the devil is disguise as an angel of light” he watchful so you won’t be drown”
my heart was trouble, I didn’t get myself… what was the holy spirit trying to say to me?
I looked beside me and Lilian wasn’t there, where could she have gone to?
I called her name thinking she’s in the bathroom but she wasn’t there.
The door opened and she came in holding a tray above her head…..her face was filled with smile.
She kept the tray on the bed and ki-ssed my li-ps
LILIAN
good morning baby
PASTOR FEMI
morning, you look happy this morning
LILIAN
(she smiled)
yes, I’m very happy, I slept beside the love of my life lady night….. I made you breakfast.
I was surprised, Lilian made me breakfast? she must really be happy to have gone this far.
I was about to touch the tray of food when I heard from the Lord “fast and pray so you don’t fall into a pit”
what exactly what the holy spirit trying to tell me? I nee-ded more clarification so I turn to look at Lilian.
LILIAN
come on, what are you waiting for? go ahead and eat your food.
PASTOR FEMI
I’m sorry babe but I can’t eat this food now…. the holy spirit had given me an order and I must carry it.
LILIAN
what? why now? I woke up early to make this for you…. please ignore the holy spirit and just eat please.
PASTOR FEMI
(I was shocked)
do you realize I’m a man of God? and I don’t work according to myself but according to what he that is in heaven tells me?
LILIAN
I’m tired of this femi, Everytime God, God, God, when will God leave you alone so I too can enjoy you? tell me?
I was speechless, I didn’t know how to tell this Satan to get behind me…. opportunity this Satan happens to be my own very woman…. I got up from the bed and went on my knees, I prayed for hours not minding she had left the room angrily.
Around 3pm God spoke to me, he asked me to send Lilian back to Abuja to avoid temptation and ruining the plans he has for me…. it was the holy Spirit speaking but why does it feel like his asking me to commit murder? because I’m very sure Lilian would not leave my house alive, she would rather I kill her than send her off to Abuja just like that.
