“I’ll ask again; where is he? Where is Baekhyun?!!” I screamed at the thu-gs and they cowered in fear
“We’re so s….sorry ma’am, but h…he esc…escaped. He knocked Yoongi out and escaped” their leader stuttered and my head sparked with maddening anger
I grabbe-d a table lamp and hauled it at them but they were quick in dodging it
“You’re all morons! You’re useless! You let him get away! There were four of you but you still couldn’t stop him from escaping!!” I shrieked while hauling more objects at them
They were all shaking like leafs with their foreheads ki-ssing the floor
“Please forgive us, we’re so sorry. We promise it won’t happen again” they pleaded
“Of course it won’t because you’re all fired! Get out of here and never show your face to me again!!” I yelled and they scampered to their feet before bolting out of the house; all of them struggling for the door.
“Urrgh!” I Gr0-ned angrily and smashed a breakable figurine on the floor before pacing back and forth while ruffling my hair
He’s gone, he escaped!
I know he has gone to that rat; Hyuna……this is not good
No…….I can’t let him go, he thinks he can just leave me and go to that rat from the slums. Well I’ll prove him wrong; I’ve waited for 5 long years to do this.
It’s time to unleash the beast in me, I’ll make him regret ever running away

I walked out of the small bathroom after soaking my bo-dy in a nice warm bath. I dried my bo-dy with a towel and pulled on some of the clothes we had managed to buy at a thrift sto-re last night.
We had lodged at a motel that was located right in the middle of the South Ko-rean and Japan border. So right now we were neither in both countries. I stared at my reflection in the mirror hanging on the wall
Oppa and I had sle-pt late last night, we had stayed up all night talking. I told him everything that happened in Singapore and I also told him about Suho’s crazy sister who abducted me because she wanted to use me as bait. He didn’t talk much; but he listened to me and consoled me when I burst into tears as I was telling him how I was taken
Although I didn’t tell him about the stupid feelings I had been having for Suho, and I definitely didn’t dare tell him about what happened between Suho and I at the prime minister’s pa-rty….
especially the fact that I had gotten drunk and that I still don’t remember what happened after that.
What happened in Singapore will stay in Singapore…..
I walked out of the be-droom and trudged to the living room, Oppa and Taeyang were seated, facing each other with a table in between them
“If you want the both of you to live a quiet life out there then you’ll nee-d these new identities” Taeyang was saying when I walked in. They both paused when they saw me and I arched a brow
“What’s going on? What are you guys talking about?” I asked as I pulled out a chair and sat beside Oppa
“Umm I’m just getting all the things we’ll nee-d ready. Do you remember that I told you that we won’t be going back home?” Oppa uttered
“Yes you told me that last night but you didn’t tell me why we can’t go back home. What happened? Why do we have to go away? Why are we running and what are we running from?” I inquired, searching his eyes curiously.
He sighed and tou-ched his forehead before reaching for my hands. He held them and ki-ssed them
“You know that I love you, right?” he muttered
“I do…….but you’re scaring me. I wanted to go back home with you and see my family and my friends again but now you’re telling me that I can’t see or even call them. I don’t know what to think anymore” I mouthed while gazing into his mesmerizing eyes
“I know babe, but you’ll have to trust me. I promise to tell you everything when we’re safe across the continent but for now; we nee-d to leave and we nee-d to leave now” he rasped before grabbing a p@$$port and another card from the table and handing them to me
“What’re these?” I asked while peering at them; the first one was an international p@$$port with my picture on it but the name that was written on it was; ‘Sandara Park’
I peered at the ID card and it was the same thing; my picture but with the strange name beside it
“That is going to be your new identity from now on” Oppa uttered and my jaw dropped
“What! But…..this is fake! This isn’t my name!” I gasped
“I know babe, but that’s the point; I have mine too. We’re going to nee-d these fake identities to start a new life in Europe” he replied and I was even more shocked
“Europe? So we’re really leaving Asia?”
“Yes honey, we are. I promise to explain everything when we get there but now I nee-d you to trust me……..do you trust me?” he asked and I blinked severally.
I was still trying to digest everything, it was happening so fast! I felt like I was in an action movie or something
I dropped the p@$$ports and got on my feet before walking back into the be-droom. I sat on the be-d and cu-pp-ed my face with my palms
I still couldn’t believe it; Oppa wants us to leave and go far away. He wants us to start a new life together in Europe with fake identities. And the worst pa-rt of it is that I can’t call Welchi and my family; they’ll get so worried if they don’t hear from me for a long time. I can’t live or start a new life when my family is back home dying of worry
I didn’t even realize when tears started dropping from my eyes
“Hyuna….” Oppa’s de-ep and gentle voice broke into my thoughts and I looked up with teary eyes. He was standing by the doorway staring at me with his soulful eyes, it was as if he had gotten more handsome, he looked even more gorgeous than the last time I saw him before I left for Singapore.
He walked up to me and knelt down before me before planting a soft and tender ki-ss on my forehead. He slowly lifted my chin so I could meet his gaze
“I’m so sorry, I know that this is too much for you to process all at once. I also know that I have no right to ask you to elope with me and to start a new life with me. But I’m doing all this because I love you so much and I don’t wanna lose you” he whispered and lowered his gaze to my hands
“There’s someone who doesn’t want us to be together, babe. I was too blind to see it; I should have known but now I let it get out of control. It’s bad, it’s really bad….. she’s crazy, she’s totally lost her mind. I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t escaped….” he rasped and my antenna went up
I cu-pp-ed his face and lifted it back to my gaze
“Who is this ‘she’? Is it Mia?” I asked in a whisper. His eyes wide-ned slightly and he blinked severally
“How did you know?” he muttered and I gasped in realization
I got on my feet and he did too
“It’s Mia! She finally told you how she feels about you, didn’t she?” I asked again but didn’t bother to get an answer from him
“And you rejected her so she got angry and tied you up, that’s why you have these bruises on your arms. But you managed to escape so now we have to go far away or she’ll find us and kill me!” I breathed and his eyes wide-ned even more
“So you knew that Mia had feelings for me?” he asked in a whisper and I sighed
“Yes I knew, she always threatened me. She told me to stay away from you even before we started dating. She was always ranting and saying that you’re hers, that you belong to her and that I should stay far away from you. She hated me from the very first day she saw us together. Last year; when you were in Singapore attending the G.A. awards, she stopped me in JP building and shoved my head in the toilet just because she found my number in your phone. She’s been pretending, she’s nothing but a wolf in sheep’s clothing” I gasped out with angry tears welling up in my eyes
I turned away from him and blinked the tears away before slowly turning back to him again. He was shocked beyond words, he slowly moved over to the be-d and sat on it before burying his face in his palms
“I’m so stupid……I’m such an idiot, how? How did I not see it?” he choked out and I flew to him, kneeling before him and lifting his face
“No you’re not, it’s not your fault. I don’t blame Mia for what she feels for you because you’re just so perfect, my love. Any woman can easily fall head over heels for you without you even trying. It doesn’t matter anymore, at least now you know the truth about her and you’ve seen her for who she truly is. Why didn’t you just tell me that it was because of her that we’re leaving? I would have totally un-derstood. As a matter of fact; I’m willing to go far away with you and start a new life together………just you and I” I whispered and his eyes beamed
“Really? You’ll go with me?”
“Yes, my love. I don’t want to ever be apa-rt from you again, I’ll go to the ends of the earth with you” I replied and we wrapped our arms around each other in a lovers hu-g
“I love you, Lee Baekhyun……with all my heart and I was so stupid for ever doubting it for one second. Now that I’m here in your arms again, I’ve never been more sure about anything; It’s you…….” I breathed and slowly pulled away from the hu-g
We stared into each others eyes with our faces just a breath away. I slowly closed my eyes as our noses tou-ched lightly
“It’s always been you….” I added in the tiniest whisper as our li-ps finally met.
