DONALD’S POV
Rosie walked into my compound with a wra-pped cake in one hand and a helmet in the other.
I thought she was Miriam’s Personal as-sistant or am I imagining things?
“What the fv¢k are you doing here?” I asked in surprise and she turned to look at me with a more bigger surprise because her eyes seemed like they were going to fall off the socket.
“Donald, What are you doing here?” She asked looking around the house.
“This is my house.” I stated and she sighed.
“I am from Dominic’s plea-sure and am here to deliver a cake to someone that called earlier from this house.” She said and I leaned on the pillar of the balcony.
“I thought you were Miriam’s P.A?”
“Can you sign this or call the out the person that placed an order. The person’s name is Julie.” She said totally ignoring my question.
“I think it’s better I sign.” I said walking closer to her.
“What the hell are you doing here?” My mom shouted from the doorway and I turned to see anger written all over her face.
Oh man, I totally forgot about her.
She hates dark people and with Rosie here in our house, I know she’s gonna throw a tantrum.
“Good morning, ma’am. I am from Dominic’s plea-sure and am here to deliver a cake to Julie, she placed an order some hours ago.” Rosie answered with confidence.
She is always confident, that’s one special thing about her.
“Shut your tra-p, you dirty human. How dare you step your foot into my mansion? Do you know I can order for you to be imprisoned right this instant?” My mom shouted again and Rosie frowned.
“With all due respect, ma, I am not a dirty human. You can as well say that to your son or his girlfriend.” She answered angrily looking from Blair’s face to my face and my mom g@sped.
“Did you just say that to my son? My own son? How dare you? All blacks should banished away from America. In fact, you don’t deserve to leave. You are a disgrace to humanity, created by mistake and for nothing, now take your damn cake and get lost before I do something stupid and don’t you…”
“Mom, st©p it.” I cut off my mom angrily.
She was going just too far for my liking.
My eyes darted to Rosie’s and to my greatest surprise, she was crying.
“Mom, go inside.” I ordered still looking at Rosie and she walked inside angrily.
“I will sign the paper, just give it to me.” I said and stretched out my hand but she moved backwards and looked back into my eyes.
“No, I am too dirty to get close to you not to talk of giving you anything, I don’t nee-d your signature.” She said, put the cake on the floor and turned to leave.
Why do her tears make me feel so pained and guilty?
Is it because I don’t like seeing women cry? Of course no, I like seeing Blaire cry but then why?
“Rosie, I am sorry. My mom don’t just like blacks.” I said and she st©pped walking and then turned to look at me.
“Do you know the set of people I hate most in my life? Racists. I hate them with so much pas-sion.
We are humans like you, melanin is the just the difference.” She said and walked out still sobbing.
Now I know, I guess I just feel sad and guilty because I have been having encounters with her since the beginning of the week.
My mom can be so annoying.
ROSIE’S POV
I know I shouldn’t have cried. I should have talked back at her but I was just so hurt.
I have been hearing of racism, I was usually bullied in school because of my color but never has anyone say such harsh words to me.
I was not created by mistake and for nothing, no.
The same God that created me also created them but why does it hurt so much.
I got on my bike, drove to the company to tell my dad that I am sick, then I drove home.
I nee-d to sleep but i thought black is beautiful.
I thought the only difference between light people and dark people is just melanin? Then why did that evil woman Cal me dirty?
“Are you sure you are okay?” My mum asked again and I smiled slightly.
“Mum, you know as a girl, I can get really moody at times. I guess today is one of those times.” I said and she nodded.
“I just want you to know that I am always here for you and that no one is worthy of taking your peace and respect away without your permission.” She said and k!$$£d me.
My mom is sick.
A year ago, she was diagnosed with cancer and instead of telling my dad and I, she kept it to herself and by the time we got to know about it, it was too late.
By too late, I don’t mean she was s£ntenced to death. I mean that the doctor said she was only going to be living with the aid of machines and drugs, so I wouldn’t want to stress her with any of my problems.
“I love you, mummy.” I said and she smiled.
“I love you more.”
DONALD’S POV
Miriam and I are going to be having our first shoot today.
After having breakfast, I got into my Bugatti, which I just repaired as a result of the accident I had with Rosie’s car and some of my guards entered into the other and soon, we were on our way to my h0tel.
That is where we are going to be having the first shoot.
I arrived there an hour before the appointed time so as to avoid so many paparazzi and fans.
Some workers and my manager were alre-ady there to put some things in place.
“Good morning, Sir.” My manager, John said with a sad expression.
“Yeah. Did something happened?” I asked sitting down and he nodded.
“Miriam called earlier to say she doesn’t want to go on with the contract.” He said and I g@sped.
“What do you mean?” Someone shouted and I turned to see Rosie at the doorway.
“Who are you, miss?” John asked and she blinked repeatedly.
“She’s Miriam’s P.A.” I answered and Donald nodded.
“Didn’t she tell you the reason she no longer wants to go on with the movie anymore?” I asked and she frowned.
“She didn’t even tell me she was going to terminate the contract. I called her and hour ago and she told me to come before her.” She answered with a worried expression.
“Maybe she has a good reason, why don’t you take her place?” I asked and she g@sped.

Episode Seven
ROSIE’S POV
“What do you mean take her place?” I asked Donald as soon as the words sli-pped out from his mouth.
“I mean that Miriam may have a very important reason why she no longer want to go with the movie, so why don’t you take her position and make the movie with me instead.” He said and I scoffed.
Is this guy really serious?
“I am Miriam’s P.A and I just heard the news that she has cancelled an important contract, don’t you think I should be worried? In fact, shouldn’t you be worried that something might be wrong?” I asked angrily and he sighed.
“My manager said she called herself, why didn’t she call me instead? I will leave you to think about what I said earlier.” He said and stretched out his business card to me but I shook my head pathetically and walked out of the building.
How can someone be so self centered? It seems he doesn’t even care about any other person.
I got into my vehicle and tried igniting my car but it wasn’t starting.
What is wrong with today? First, it was Miriam and now, my stupid car.
I looked out of the window Irritatedly and saw Donald staring intently at me.
“I can drop you off, if you wish.” He said.
I got out of my car, locked the door and started walking out of the parking lot.
“What is wrong in me giving you a lift?” He asked and I rolled my eyes and st©pped walking.
“Don’t you think I might stain your skin or worse, your car?” I asked with a sm-irk and he smiled.
I wonder what is funny?
“Are you still angry about what happened at my house?”
“Of course, do you think one can easily forget about those harsh words your mum poured on me?” I asked swinging my hands in the air.
“But I apologized on her behalf.”
“You did? Maybe I was too angry to hear you, why don’t you apologize again.” I said and smiled wi-dely.
“I should apologize again? Apologizing is not something I do always.” He said with an unre-adable expression.
“Oh, that’s bad but you can just try to do it one more time.”
“Rosie, I am sorry for what my mom said.” He said and I walked closer to him.
“Apologies accepted but how am I sure you are not also a racist? Who knows, you might just chase me out of your car.”
DONALD’S POV
“No, I am not a racist.” I answered looking into her brown eyes.
Why the hell am I lying?
I just don’t want her to be angry at me, I guess.
“Good, then we are good to go.” She said with a smile that really displa-yed her dimples.
I walked to my Bugatti and opened the door for her before turning around to get on the driver’s seat.
“So why are you heading to?” I asked as I drove out of the parking lot.
“To Miriam’s. I have to know why she did what she did.”
“Alright, but plea-se I want you to think about my request.”
“Nope, I am certainly not going to do that, I mean why should I? I am not pretty, I don’t know how to act and I certainly won’t have the time.” She said and I turned to look at her.
“But you are very pretty.” I said and she laughed.
“You don’t have to lie, even my friend once told me that I am ugly, your mum even testified to that herself. You should refer to Miriam when talking about beauty.” She answered and I huffed.
Doesn’t she have a mirror at home or something? She can’t even be compared to Miriam.
“That friend of yours must be blind, the truth is that you are the most beautiful black have ever seen.” I said and she stared into my face before turning away with a smile.
I pu-ll-ed over when we got to Miriam’s house and I c@m£ down and opened the door for her.
“You act more like a gentleman now.” She said and I laughed.
“Do you mean I never acted like a gentleman before?”
“Nope, you acted rather like a j£rk.” She said.
“I am glad am changing now.” I said, gave her a pe-ck on her cheek and drove off.
I just pe-cked a dark girl?
Is it that am now obsess with her pres£nce that I no longer think with my head anymore?
But she’s beautiful though.
Different from every other blacks have ever come across with.
She didn’t act like one of those crazy girls that would confess their feelings for you or even faint whenever they see me.
She’s always confident and doesn’t like to be intimid@t£d.
MIRIAM’S POV
My eyes nearly popped out of the socket when I saw Donald gave Rosie a pe-ck.
He even drove her all way here and opened the door for her but didn’t even st©p to ask why I cancelled the contract.
Why do I feel that he likes Rosie or am I just imagining things?
I have heard so many rumors about him which included him being so ha-rd on his girlfriend, refusing to open the door for her whenever they are always together but he just did that for Rosie.
I also heard that he doesn’t like arguing or talking too much but he argued with Rosie that day at my house, Interesting.
“Hi, Miriam. How you doing?” Rosie said when she got to where I am.
“I just saw something that I never thought would ever happen.” I said and she furrowed her brows.
“Oh, do you mean Donald dropping me off? My car was bad so he offered to drive me here.” She answered.
“And him pe-cking you? I asked again.
“I was surprised as well, Miriam how are you.” She asked and I laughed.
“Why don’t you just act instead of me, I think he would prefer that.” I said and she sighed.
“Miriam, what happened?”
“His mother happened, she threatened to harm me if I don’t cancel the contract.” I shouted angrily and her eyes wi-de-ned.

ROSIE’S POV
“His mother happened, she threatened to harm me if I don’t cancel the contract.” Miriam shouted and my eyes wi-de-ned.
But why would that witch do such a thing?
“Why did she do that?” I asked her gently and she closed her eyes.
It’s really obvious that she’s hurt. She really wanted to act the movie.
“She said her son doesn’t like dark girls.”
“No, Donald told me he’s not a racist. She lied to you. The only reason why she asked you not to go on with it was because she hates blacks not her son.” I defended and she looked at me with a sad smile.
“You are talking like you’ve seen her before.”
“Yes, Someone from her house placed an order yesterday and when I got there, she practically insulted me and guess what, Donald apologized.” I said with a smile and she laughed.
“You still had your revenge after all.”
“Yeah, I did.” I replied looking at the floor.
“Take the offer, Rosie.” She said some minutes later and I frowned.
“Are you forgetting that I am also dark? Of course, his mother would also threaten to harm me.”
“No, Donald would not allow that.” She said and my frown de-epened.
“Why would he do such a thing?’
“Because he likes you.” She said and I laughed.
“You are really funny, why would he even like me?” I asked surprisedly.
“Why wouldn’t he like you?” She said returning my question.
“You know first impression matters a lot right? Well, I damaged his Bugatti the first time I met him and the second time, I rolled my eyes at him. So there’s no way he would like a girl like me. Donald doesn’t like me.” I said as a matter of fact and she nodded.
“Call him and tell him you’ve accepted the offer, at least if not for anything, for my sake.” She said looking into my eyes.
“But I can’t even act.”
“You can, I want his mother to feel so bad and I want you to spend more time with Donald.” She said and I rolled my eyes.
“Then I would have to talk to my parents first, I don’t even have Donald’s number.” I said and Miriam brou-ght out her phone from her pocket, typed some things and few seconds later, my phone beeped.
“I just s£nt his number to you.” She said and kept it back.
“Miriam, why don’t I just plead with Donald to talk to his mother? Will you be fine with me taking your place?” I asked in concern.
“I would be fine.”
DONALD’S POV
“I love you, baby.” Blaire said k!ss!ngme all over my b©dy.
“Why do I feel you are avoiding me?” She asked suddenly and I sighed.
“I haven’t been avoiding you, you are just being so s-en-sitive. Just continue doing your thing.” I said and she smiled and continued k!ss!ngme.
*Grrrrr*
My phone vibr@ted and I looked at the Caller ID.
It was an unknown number.
But that’s strange, just few people have my numbers and their numbers are saved in my phone, I wanted to ignore the call but then I remembered I asked Rosie to call me.
“Hello.” I heard her voice after answering the phone and I smiled slightly.
I looked up at Blaire to see her staring at me, so I got up from the be-d, walked into the bathroom and locked the door.
🔈“Rosie?” I said and she hummed.
🔈“Sorry for calling you this late, I had to talk to my parents first.”
🔈“No problem at all, so what’s your reply?”
🔈”I accept. We can go on with movie.” She said and I smiled.
🔈”That’s nice. How about we talk over dinner tomorrow, I mean, you know nothing about what the movie is gonna be about.”
🔈 Alright, no problem.”
🔈”Okay, I would call you.”.
🔈“Bye.”
🔈 Sleep ti-ght.’ I said and she hanged up.
Rosie, it’s a nice name for an actress.
“Who was that?” Blaire asked as soon as I c@m£ out of the bathroom.
“A business p@rtner.” I replied and la-id on the be-d.
“You can’t lie to me, Donald. You normally answer calls in my pres£nce but your went into the bathroom for this call. Are you seeing someone?” She asked and I k!$$£d her and dragged her into the be-d.
This was the only way to make her st©p talking so much.
“I love you, Donald.” She said as she pu-ll-ed off my shi-t.
Why do I feel so happy all of a sudden?

Episode nine📿
ROSIE’S POV
It took approximately three hours for my parents, especially my dad to finally agree to allow me go on with the movie with Clark.
My dad felt it might be hurtful to Miriam who even made it known on her Twitter page that she was really happy with the movie but after so much, cajoling, he finally agreed.
My phone vibr@ted and I picked it up without looking at the Caller ID.
“Rosieeee” Susan shouted from the other side of the phone and I took the phone away from my ear in shock.
“A very good morning to you too, Susan.” I said with a long hiss.
“Yeah, Dominic told me about your newly found fame, job and cash.” She said happily and I couldn’t help but smile.
“I am so happy for you but angry at the same time that you didn’t tell me and Suzy that you’ve met Donald Stone. You betrayed us.” She said.
“I am really sorry, I have been really busy lately but I promise to come over later at night to tell you about everything.” I said and she giggled.
“Everything?”
“Everything.” I said and hanged up when she didn’t st©p screaming.
I am going to be having dinner with Donald later today so we can talk about what the movie is all about but I feel kinda nervous and I don’t even know why.
I am not usually nervous.
I can still vividly remember the first time Suzy had set up a d@t£ for me with someone I don’t even know. A blind d@t£.
I was not really nervous like most girls would but now I am.
I guess it’s because he’s a celebrity and probably because Miriam has been talking so much about the fact that he might like me.
I took my bath, got dressed and walked out of my room to my mom’s.
“Hi, mom.” I called and she smiled dryly.
“Are you okay, mum?”
“Yes, dear. I can see you are all dressed.” She said and I walked closer to her.
“Mom, you don’t have to go with me if you don’t feel too well.” I said.
Dad had given me some money last night for my mom and I to go shopping together since it’s been a while she’d gone out but from the look of things, she would not be able to make it.
“I feel sick, you can just go alone instead.” She said and I hvgged her.
“You know you have to stay strong for me, dad and even Donald, your crush right?” I said and she grinned.
“I will.”
“Alright, mom. See ya later.” I said and walked out.
I can’t believe am going to walk all the way to the boutique to get clothes and to the supermarket for some groceries.
DONALD’S POV
“But Donald you don’t usually go out on Saturdays.” Blaire whined as soon as I walked out if the bathroom.
“Yeah, I know but I told you I have a very important meeting with a very special person.” I said walking to my wardrobe.
“And who is that special person? A woman?”
“Just st©p disturbing me and mind you damn business and if I can remember well, nob©dy nee-ds you here.” I shouted and she flin-ched.
“I am sorry, I never meant to make you angry.” She said and ran into the bathroom.
Good riddance to bad ru-bbish.
It’s alre-ady 7:00Pm.
I picked up my phone and dialed Rosie number and she answered almost immediately.
“Hello” She said weakly and i frowned.
“Are you alright?” I asked and she sighed de-eply.
“Yes, just tired.”
“If you want, we can just postpone the dinner.”
“No, there won’t be any nee-d for that. I am dressed.”
“Good, so where do you live? I can come pick you up.”
“ I will text the address to you after this call.”
“Alright, bye.”
ROSIE’S POV
I got up from my be-d when I heard the sound of a car horn.
And before I could walk to my door, a text c@m£ in and I opened it.
“I am outside” it was Donald.
I looked at myself again in the mirror and hurried out of the room.
“See you later, dear.” My dad said with a little smile and I nodded and walked out briskly.
“Hi, dear.” He said when I got to where he was.
He was putting on a pair of blue jean and a white dress which made me feel like I was dressing to serious.
“Hello, thanks for coming to pick me up.”
“Its nothing. Let’s go.” He said and made to open the door for me but I held his hand.
“Can you plea-se come inside for some minutes? My mom is a big fan and it would really mean a lot if she gets to meet you.” I said looking at the floor.
“Alright, let’s go then.” He answered and I smiled.
I led him inside and my mom stood in surprise when she saw him standing I’m front of him.
“Donald Stone?” She said and wra-pped her hands around him.

DONALD’S POV
“It’s nice meeting you” I said with a little smile when Rosie’s mum hvgged me.
She looked really familiar. I think I have seen her somewhere before.
She finally let go of me and then I saw her face clearly.
“Ma’am, it’s you.” I said in surprise and she chuckled.
“Yes, how have you been doing?” She asked and I batted my eyes.
She doesn’t look really sick to me.
“Very fine, thanks. You?”
“I am very good.”
“I am lost here. Do you know my mum?” Rosie asked and I turned.
“Yes, a year ago.” Her mom answered with a little smile.
“But you never told us, why is that?” A man, obviously Rosie’s dad asked.
“I didn’t think it was necessary, we met.” Her mum said and continued.
“Why don’t you guys go on so you wouldn’t be late for dinner.”
“Yes, we should do that. I promise to always come check up on you.” I said and hvgged her again.
I never thought I would ever get to meet her ever again.
ROSIE’S POV
“So now, can you tell me where and when you met my mum?” I asked Donald when we got into his car.
“I think you should ask her yourself, now tell me, where do you want us to go for dinner?” He asked and I hissed.
“She might not tell me. My mom is fond of keeping secrets.” I said Irritatedly.
“For she to have been keeping our meeting from you and your dad, it’s quite obvious she don’t want you guys to know about it.” He said and ignited the car.
“Yes, she may want to keep it away from me but does that mean you want to keep it away from me? You are not her.” I said staring into his eyes.
“I am sorry but what we talked about was quite personal.”
“I hate to say this but she’s not your mum, so if you don’t tell me, I might as well not go on with the movie.”
“St©p ma-king this ha-rder than it alre-ady is, I don’t like talking too much. Why can’t you just st©p ma-king unnecessary noise.” He said angrily and I flin-ched a little.
“It’s my mother we are talking about here, I am not ma-king unnecessary noise.” I fired back and he ruffled his hair tiredly with his f!nger.
“I will k!ssyou now if you don’t st©p talking.” He said and I g@sped.
k!ss? But why?
“Just st©p talking.” He said when I didn’t say anything.
“No, my mom is really sick, Donald and it took a whole year for her to finally break the news to my dad and I. I believe she’s still keeping something from us that we should know.” I said with tears alre-ady streaming out of my eyes.
“Hey, don’t cry. I am here for you.” He said and I hissed.
“It’s a lie. If you are really here for me, then you should tell me where and when you met my dad.” I said with an eye roll.
“Fine, I met her last year in the hospital where my dad was receiving treatment before he died. I was really sad and devastated. I was walking around the hospital when I c@m£ across a woman crying. I walked closer to her and asked her what the problem was and she told me, she was diagnosed with cancer but didn’t want to tell it to her family.
That woman was your mother, Rosie. She told me her baby and husband was all she had and didn’t want to trouble you but I urged her to tell even though I didn’t know you and she nodded but I had to leave when my sister called to tell my dad was dead and when I c@m£ out later, I couldn’t find her there again.” He said and looking out of the window but he turned when he heard my sob.
“I told you not to cry, didn’t I.” He said gently and held my hands in his.
“Your mom loves you.”, he said again and I nodded.
“Yeah, I know.”
He shifted close to me and cu-mpped my face in his large palms.
‘I don’t like it when you cry, trust me. Your mom is going to be fine.” He said and placed hisl-ips on mine.
What the hell is he doing?
Does he really likes me like Miriam said?
He tried to make me open my mouth but I didn’t and he st©pped.
My first k!ss, gosh.
“You are fine now, right?” He asked and I smiled.
“Do you have any form of drug in your mouth or does your k!sscalm one’s nerves?” I asked and he chuckled.
“My face sure look scary now, right? My makeup is all ruined cause of my silly tears.” I said looking at myself in the mirror.
“You still look pretty, in fact more pretty?” He said driving out of my compound.
“,You didn’t even bother to ask about Miriam, don’t you care about your business p@rtners?” I asked looking at other moving cars and I noticed he turned slightly.
“For you to accept, I know she’s fine.”
“But even at that, you should have asked.”, I said again and he t©uçhed his fore head.
“Okay, how is Miriam doing?”
“She’s fine.” I answered and he nodded.
“Aren’t you going to ask why she cancelled the contract?” I said again and he gro-an ed.
“Okay, why did she?”
“Well, I don’t want to tell you.”, I said and he looked at me in surprise but continued driving in silence.
“Aren’t you going you going to ask why I don’t want to tell you?” I said again.
“Like seriously? Are you a detective or something. I don’t want to ask those questions.” He said trying to hide his anger but I noticed it.
“Why don’t you want to ask those questions?” I asked and he parked the car angrily and turned to face me.
“Are you always like this?” He asked still looking at me and I nodded happily.
“Well, you should st©p it.”
“But why?”
“Can you just st©p asking questions.” He shouted but I didn’t flin-ch.
Am enjoying this.
“Why should I?” I asked again and instead of answering, he caught myl-ips in his and though I tried to st©p myself, I couldn’t.
.No, this is wrong. Mom said only my husband is allowed to t©uçh me and I don’t wish to disobey.
And why do I have to get my first and second k!ssjust in one day?
I j£rked back in f0rç£ and got down angrily from the car.
“What is wrong with you?” He shouted and c@m£ out as well.
“Well, you were m©l£sting me in there.” I replied and started walking towards the opposite direction.
“What the hell?” I heard him shout but I didn’t turn.
