EPISODE 47
Amanda was rushed to the hospital by Oscar and anita….. chenemi wanted to go with them but kunle told her not too.
She wondered why though but obeyed him.
CHENEMI
why didn’t you want me to follow them?
KUNLE
who are you exactly? few minutes ago you sent your man into the arms of another woman…. now you still want to stress this child for someone who wants nothing but see you out of this house.
CHENEMI
(she laughs)
I trust Oscar, I know he can’t cheat on me…. and honestly sometimes I feel pity for that girl…. you and I know how horrible Oscar has been in the past … if not for the fact that i was a very perfect match for Oscar he would have dealt with me too…. I can imagine how her life has been dating oscar…. and now she’s pregnant I can imagine what she’s going throu-gh.
KUNLE
even at that chenemi, you should be careful…. the girl I saw few minutes ago is a desperate person who would do anything to get what she wants.
CHENEMI
you know I’m equal to the task…. a little attention from Oscar to her won’t kill me or him… it takes nothing to be kind… you can un-derstand better kunle because you are that kind person who puts people’s nee-ds first before his.
Her last statement shut kunle up and he lacked what to say…. he always like to put people’s problem first before his….but he just doesn’t feel right about any of this.
At the hospital amanda was attended to immediately Oscar brou-ght her in…. sje was immediately place on an admission…. they administer drip on her and took her blood for test…… about an hour later the result was out…. so Oscar was invited to the doctor’s office.
OSCAR
good evening doc, you asked to see me
DOCTOR
good evening, please have your seat.
OSCAR
thank you doc…. doc please what is wrong with her and why was she screaming about her stomach before she pas-sed out?
DOCTOR
did you know she’s pregnant?
DOCTOR
yes doc, I’m aware.
DOCTOR
I must say you are very lucky for bringing her the time you did…. she almost lost the baby due to a miscarriage.
OSCAR
a mis–what???
DOCTOR
yes, that lady is stressed that’s not good for her right now…. if she’s doing ha-rd jobs at home, or thinking too much, in fact if there’s anything that makes her tense and bordered all the time….. you nee-d to stop it or stop her…. else she might lose the baby the next time.
Oscar already felt bad that he could not bring himself to love amanda the way she deserves…. hearing that she almost lost her baby due to stress and too much thinking made him hate himself even more.
OSCAR
so when will she be okay to go home?
DOCTOR
you can take her tomorrow morning….. she can’t go home until she finish taking all her drips.
Oscar thanked the doctor and went out, he went to amanda’s ward and stayed with her…. Anita started to feel sleepy so she collected Oscar’s car keys and went to sleep in the car.
Oscar held Amanda’s both hands and ki-ssed it slowly
OSCAR
I’m sorry for all you had to go throu-ghbecause of me Manda, I’m sorry for all those years I neglected you and even now I’m still sorry…. for all the wrong o committed by you I’m truly sorry….. it just so sad that I feel nothing for you as a woman anymore… someone else has taken all over my heart, another woman has given me a reason to be a better and a different man from the one you use to know…. another woman has made me fall in love with her completely…. that’s why I’m sorry manda…and I hope you will be strong, not for a je-rk like me but for this baby you are carrying…. for the sake of our child…. please be strong.
He said and ki-ssed her hands again, Amanda slowly opened her eyes…. they were weak so she couldn’t keep it open for long and fell asleep again because of the drip.
Oscar suddenly remembered chenemi, so he took his phone and called her.
CHENEMI
you got me worried Oscar…. how’s Manda?
OSCAR
she’s still unconscious…. I’m sorry for making you worry baby.
CHENEMI
what did the doctor say is wrong with her?
OSCAR
stressed…. he said amanda was either thinking too much, or there’s something else that is stressing her… she almost lost the child, chenemi.
CHENEMI
poor think…I can imagine what she might be going throu-ghthat moment she felt her body failing her….. sorry dear…. so when are you guys coming home?
OSCAR
they won’t discharge her till tomorrow, so I don’t think I can come back tonight…. will you be alright all by yourself…
CHENEMI
common babe, I un-derstand….. it’s fine…. kunle is still here….and I believe he wouldn’t want to leave me all by myself.
OSCAR
please can you hand him the phone
CHENEMI
sure…. kunle Oscar is on the line
she said and gave kunle the phone….
OSCAR
hello
KUNLE
yeah, how’s Amanda doing?
OSCAR
she’s doing okay, at least she’s out of danger….
KUNLE
that’s good to know
OSCAR
I’m sorry things didn’t go according go plans…. I hope we do this next time.
KUNLE
I will be up for it…. you coming back now? because I will like to….
OSCAR
please I won’t be able to come back tonight….. do you think you can do me a big favor???
KUNLE
say it.,…
OSCAR
please I don’t want chenemi to be alone in the house…. can you please stay with her till I come back tomorrow.
kunle wasn’t comfortable with the idea, but truly wanted to refuse but Oscar pleaded with him and he accepted.
OSCAR
I owe you one
KUNLE
you bet you do…..
He said and handed the phone over to chenemi….. Oscar and chenemi talked for a while before he hung up.
chenemi took kunle to the visitor’s room closer to her’s so he could sleep.
THE NEXT DAY
kunle left the house before oscar and amanda got back from the hospital… he had an early morning appointment with his father and some business as-sociate…. his father would feed his head to the dogs if he dared to come one second late… He stopped at a bouquet to get some clothes for himself after taking his bath at Oscar’s place.
Oscar parked his car at the garage and came down to help Amanda open the car door…. he held her by the wai-st and they went inside together.
Ali saw all this and wondered why oga was touching Amanda like that…. he wondered if chenemi was aware of all this or not.
Oscar took Amanda to her room and helped her to lie on the bed before he went to meet his wife….. immediately chenemi saw him, she didn’t ask him any questions she just ki-ssed her husband and pulled him to cud-dle her while she continued her beauty sleep.
OSCAR
I didn’t see kunle’s car outside.
CHENEMI
Yeah, he left already….he had an early morning appointment.
OSCAR
oh I see…. I’m sorry I left you all by….
CHENEMI
(She cuts in)
it’s okay babes, I’m not mad at you…. how’s amanda?
OSCAR
she’s fine…. she’s in her room sleeping.
CHENEMI
Okay, I will go see her when I wake up…. for now just cud-dle me ti-ghtly.
Oscar ki-ssed her ne-ck and cuddled her ti-ghtly…..

ever since Amanda was discharged from the hospital, Oscar started to treat her differently, not because he loves her but for the sake of his unborn child.
Amanda started using the fact that oscar had started giving her attention to ask for money…. today she would ask for this amount , tomorrow she will ask for another amount…. chenemi wondered what she’s doing with all the money she’s collecting from oscar…. is not like she’s the only pregnant one….. she’s equally pregnant too and she isn’t demanding for money the way Amanda was doing.
Sometimes Amanda would act crazily around Oscar to mais chenemi jealous but she would laugh over it and just go inside.
“Amanda doesn’t know I’m allowing her to eat from my left over because of her condition…. if I tell Oscar to stop giving her attention he will do it with no questions asked”
Mrs Stella ever since she came back from the village has been disturbing chenemi and Oscar to come visit her so they could make plans for their wedding…. but Oscar knows he would be a dead man if he leaves Amanda who is pregnant for him to marry another woman…. he was in a confuse state and don’t know what to do.
Tony on the other hand had finally agreed to Amanda’s plans…. he came home to visit oscar and chenemi…. after spending some time with them he signalled for Amanda to follow him….. he excused him and not long Amanda followed him too.
AMANDA
I thought you will never come to look for me
TONY
in as much as I hate what your plans, I’m doing it just to win chenemi back….I love her so much.
AMANDA
and I love Oscar too and that’s why we must do everything to separate them.
TONY
so what’s your plan?
AMANDA
it’s very simple, we will have chenemi kidnapped….. she will be un-der your watch while I’m here nursing Oscar who would he heart broken…. in the moment of his weakness I will strick.
TONY
oh wow, perfect plan…… you must be crazy…. I just told you I love chenemi and you want me to do what will make her hate me forever? which woman in her rightful senses falls in love with her abductor? I’m not agreeing to that ru-bbish.
AMANDA
what is wrong with you Mr man…. who said you will go and show her your face that you are the one who kidnapped her?
just keep her in a place where isn’t far from the city and where police can’t trace you to…. while I’m here nursing Oscar to good health and helping him to forget chenemi I will do make sure to keep evidence of our love making so you can show it to her after you save her….
TONY
after I save her?
AMANDA
yes, you will be the one to kidnap her and you will still rescue her like her super hero…. all you nee-d to do is cook up a story about how Oscar has gone crazily in love with me…. and how he has forgotten all about her… that way she will hate Oscar and see you as her hero.
tony love the idea, to him it was very brilliant and he would do it just so he has chenemi all to himself.
TONY
my problem now is how do we go about the kidnapping?
AMANDA
that’s a very small thing…. chenemi and I are in a sort of way talking terms….I could deceive her out so she can be kidnap.
TONY
then that settles it….. give me your number so I can be calling you.
Amanda called out her number to him and he saved it on his phone before he went back inside.
THE SET DAY FOR ACTION
That very day chenemi woke up with Amanda’s face staring down at her…. she got frighten and jumped up from the bed.
AMANDA
sorry I startled you…. good morning
CHENEMI
good morning….. Amanda what is it and why were you staring at me like that?
AMANDA
I’m sorry if I startled you…..i came to talk to you about something… but seeing you sleep peacefully I couldn’t bring myself to wake you up.
CHENEMI
I’m up now, so what is it? and where is oscar?
AMANDA
Oscar has left for work…. he didn’t inform you before going?
CHENEMI
if he did I wouldn’t be asking of him.
AMANDA
(She smiled)
silly boy, he must be very tired from last night se-x……
CHENEMI
(Shocked)
you guys had se-x?
AMANDA
of course sweetis, I’m pregnant and you know having se-x is good for me and the baby… but that’s by the way….i came here to discuss something important with you.
chenemi was really pained, she never knew Oscar was having s-× with Amanda…. she permitted her to take care of her because of his chikd…. she never asked him to sleep with her.
so was that why he slept in her room last night and didn’t come to check up on her?
Amanda saw how disturb chenemi looked and that made her very happy…. she tou-ched chenemi’s shoulder to bring her back to reality.
AMANDA
are you still thinking about the se-x? common girl…. Oscar is big enough for us both to share….. is not like he fuc-ks me every day just once in a while…. I mean only when the baby nee-ds it.
CHENEMI
why are you in my room?
AMANDA
yeah about that…… Anita is not around and I seriously nee-d to go out and get some few things….i was wondering if you can follow me.
CHENEMI
I’m sorry I can’t….. I’m not in the mood to go anywhere
AMANDA
common chenemi, I know that we haven’t been best of friends and we didn’t even start well on a good note…. but I’m trying to make amends here… please take my hand of friendship.
Chenemi thought for a while then agreed to follow her…. Amanda hu-gged her excitedly
She was very happy that her plans and that of tony was going according to plan.
About an hour or so she called tony and told him they were about leaving the house, and asked if he had gotten the kidnappers ready but tony disappointed her by telling her he doesn’t know where to get any.
amanda didn’t want this golden opportunity to pas-s them by so she decided to use her boyfriend mark and his bad friends for the operation.
She called mark and explained everything to him, mark was more than happy to help because he doesn’t want chenemi to live too, he sees her as a storming block to their success.
chenemi got ready and came downstairs to meet Amanda so they could go…. but Amanda pleaded they wait a little that her leg was paining her…. chenemi decided to use the opportunity to eat breakfast since she was begining to feel hungry.
Amanda was delaying them so that mark and his friends must have gotten to the location she sent to them…. today is the day she has been waiting for and she won’t let anyone ruin her plans …..not even that incompetent guy that calls himself tony.
