EPISODE 49
Amanda and chenemi left the house after Amanda was sure mark and his boy were already set for action
When they left the house Amanda acted so natural that didn’t make chenemi suspect her at all..
at the gate Ali wanted to go open the door for them, he remembered what he had discussed with his boss and nodded his head in pity.
immediately they left the house tony tested her asking her what they should do about the kidnapping she replied the text with her other hand since she was the one driving one of Oscar’s car.
“you are nothing but a weakling, we had this planned out for days and you couldn’t come up with any good kidnappers…. well we are already headed to the place… this time you can mess up if you want again”
she texted and dropped the phone on her lap-s
CHENEMI
are you okay?
AMANDA
yeah I’m okay…..why?
CHENEMI
you seem kind of tense and un-der pressure.
AMANDA
I’m very fine…. in fact I have never been more fine.
CHENEMI
that’s good.
She turn her face to look at the other side of the mirror…. alot of things was on her mind but no one could tell what it is.
Amanda drove them to a lonely road and parked
CHENEMI
why did you come this way?
AMANDA
(She laughs)
this road is the road to where I live before…. can yo wait for me to go inside and get a few things?
CHENEMI
but I can’t see any house from here
AMANDA
my house is still at the front…. but cars can’t go throu-ghthat side that’s why I’m parking here.
CHENEMI
alright, do you nee-d any help?
AMANDA
oh no, it’s okay…. just wait for me here.
she opened the car and came down, taking her phone with her….. few step from the car she dialed Mark’s number
AMANDA
you can strick now…. make it real but please do not kill her…..i repeat do not kill her…. someone else would come for the package….. his name is Tony
MARK
why won’t you just let this girl die once and for all? well we will talk about this later
Mark hung up and signalled to his boys to come out from their hiding place, they ran to where Amanda parked and pointed a gum at chenemi… she slowly came down from the car with her hands hanging up.
CHENEMI
please don’t kill me
MARK
take that stupid. girl, let’s go…. let’s go
(he shouted)
two of the boys came towards chenemi and grabbed her, she gave one of the boys a heavy pouch that sent him far away to the ground…. the second boy go scared and moved away a little…. chenemi moved towards him and drag his collar before he knew it, she landed him another heavy blow that pulled out two of his front teeth.
Mark and his other boy looked at each other, shocked that the girl they had come to kidnapp was no ordinary girl.
Since it has always been in Mark’s mind to kill chenemi, he used the opportunity to shot her so he could say he defended himself from the evil girl.
He was more than shocked when he shot at her but nothing happended, he shot at her again and the bullet still didn’t pene-trate her…. he got frightened and started to move back…..
as he tried go run, chenemi wanted to run after him too but a car drove out from no where and blocked mark’s way…. immediately two police came out of the car holding guns….. she wondered how the police had gotten there…. but her wonder immediately turn to shock when she saw Oscar coming out from the car too.
Oscar ran to his girl and hold her….. he looked at her drive and see that it was to-re.
OSCAR
babe are you okay? this looks like a bullet hole
CHENEMI
I’m fine….. the bullet didn’t pene-trate me…. those people I think they wanted to kidnap me.
OSCAR
let’s leave this place….i will explain everything to you when her get home.
CHENEMI
amanda, she’s inside there….. please save her.
OSCAR
amanda is involved in this babe….. this was all her plan.
CHENEMI
what? Amanda?
Another van of police drove in immediately and started to arrest the boys chenemi had beaten to the ground with just a pouch….. two other police men went to where Amanda was hiding and arrested her.
They soon brou-ght her to where chenemi and Oscar was standing….
AMANDA
babe what’s the meaning of this? why are they handcuffing me…. I only went that way to get my stuff.
CHENEMI
you set me up?
AMANDA
what are you talking about chenemi? I don’t know anything about what’s going on here.
She was still arguing when tony came out from the police van…… immediately Amanda started to curse him.
AMANDA
You son of a bi*ch, you set me ? why did you fuc-king do that to me?
She said trying to hit him but tow officer held her strongly stopping her from reaching to tony.
OSCAR
to think I wanted to give you everything…. to think I wanted to pay for all my son’s towards you…..i never knew you had it in my to kidnap the only woman that makes me complete.
AMANDA
oh shut up oscar….. now you want to claim holiness? you are a motherf*¢king joker…. you never treated anyone like human, so how are yo different from me? you punished me so much like a slave that you deserve all that would have come to you.
CHENEMI
and you decided to use me as your bait?
AMANDA
what different are you? you remember how you beat me up like a small child? beside I hate you….i hate the fact that after all the evil that Oscar has done he still fell in love and you had to be that woman his in love with.
OSCAR
officers please take them away….I’m going to make sure….. you and your gangs spend a very long time in jail.
they took amanda and her boys into the van and drove away while Oscar and chenemi entered the car amanda brou-ght and went home with Tony.
Immediately they got home, chenemi started spacing up and down the room…. she was de-ep in thought.
OSCAR
babe you nee-d to calm down
CHENEMI
calm down? All this happened because of you…..i would have died few minutes ago if not for the spirit of masquerade that I swallowed….
TONY
it’s not his fault chenemi, if you are looking for anyone to blame… you can blame me…. I let my love for you crowd my sense of reasoning….. it was at the dying hour that I came back to my senses.
CHENEMI
And what do you mean by that?
TONY
you can’t deny the fact that I love you….i have done everything possible for you to know that I love you…. then all of a sudden you went missing, I almost lost my mind…. then you came back and I heard you were already making out with oscar….. I was hurt you know….. very hurt
Chenemi went back go seat down, she was too weak and frightened from what happened to stand up for long.

tony went on expressing his feelings towards chenemi….. Oscar wasn’t jealous he was just sorry for his friend, sorry that he was the one who made all this to happen…. if he had taken chenemi seriously his friend would have never fell in love with his woman.
CHENEMI
how were you involved in all this tony?
TONY
Amanda approached me with a plan, I didn’t want to agree in the first place but after so much de-ep thinking I had to agree… at first I wanted to know what her plans was so she wouldn’t go and meet someone else for as-sistant…. I decided to come see her and hear of her plans.
CHENEMI
so how did Oscar get involved?
OSCAR
it was a week or so that Ali came to meet me at the garage…
FLASHBACK
Oscar drove into his compound and parked at his garage, he was about to come down from his car when ali came to meet him
ALI
good evening sir….. welcome sir
OSCAR
ali ali how are you na?
ALI
I’m fine sir
OSCAR
Okay, but you don’t seem it
ALI
Sir I know you have already paid me my salary of the month….. but sir i really nee-d your as-sistance.
OSCAR

Ali was shocked, his mouth was wide opened…. he couldn’t believe his ear…. his boss that was not just arrogant and mean has now turn into a better person… and all this had happened since chenemi came to the house.
He went on his knees and started to thank Oscar but he quickly pulled him up
OSCAR
don’t ever do that Ali, you should only use your knees to pray to Allah and not any human okay?
ALI

OSCAR
it’s nothing sir…. let’s go inside so I can give you the money.
Oscar locked his car door and led the way, ali felt he should let his boss know what he had heard
ALI

(he turn to look at him)

ALI
I’m sorry sir….. this might be nothing but I just feel you should know about it.
OSCAR
(he relaxed on his car)
okay, I’m listening.
ALI
so there was this day I was at the generator’s room cleaning it up…. I overheard madam talking to someone on the phone.
OSCAR
chenemi?
ALI
no sir, madam amanda… I over heard her talking to a guy called mark….I didn’t hear what mark was saying but I heard ma Amanda telling the person that “calm down mark, this pregnancycis our only ticket out of this country” I guess mark a suggestion of killing madam chenemi because Amanda immediately said “kill her? I’m sorry I can’t kill her beside if I kill her Oscar would not only kill me but look for every member of my family and kill them all”? she even told Mark not to worry that she can’t give his baby to someone else …. that all she’s doing is for the both of them so they could have a better future…. I should have told either you or madam but you know I’m not in the house so I don’t know what is really happening in there.
Oscar was very shocked at the revelation, to think he has been treating Amanda nicely ever since she came back fr the hospital… but one think made him very happy, the fact that the baby isn’t his but another’s….. he wanted to go inside to confront Amanda but Ali stopped him
Ali
Sir, I do not know what is happening….but if my thinking is correct…. don’t go to confront her…. you can never win against a woman without evidence…. if you go to her now and confront her she would deny it and turn everything against you…. you and I know even I’m court they won’t believe my testimony because I work for you…..
Oscar saw a lot of sense in all that Ali had said and decided to play along till he has evidence against Amanda.
He thanked Ali and asked him to follow him inside to get the money for his daughter.

Tony got up and announced he was leaving but chenemi went to meet him.
CHENEMI
thank you for changing your mind at the last minutes to help us….. if you hadn’t told Oscar where I was…im sure they wouldn’t have been able to save me…. tony I’m sorry that I couldn’t reciprocate your love towards me… I’m sorry but I want you to know I will forever love you as a friend, a big brother… and I hope you find someone who would truly love you like you deserve.
Chenemi hu-gged him and he shook hands with Oscar before he left the houss…. not long Anita who had no idea her sister has been arrested came back to the house…. Oscar told Ali to keep her till the police come to pick her…
Not long the police came and arrested her.
Chenemi didn’t get hurt when the bullet hit her because she’s not an ordinary girl…. sjes the leader of the masquerade and people with such position have powers to protect them from evil.
A MONTH LATER
oga and chenemi had finished with their both traditional and court wedding…. Mr Paul refuse his daughter doing a white wedding because she was already pregnant before marriage…. so he only allowed the traditional and court wedding.
Amanda and her gangs were sentence to five years imprisonment each.
Mrs Stella continued to live her life like someone who had no husband…. she knows her husband isn’t someone who can change because of love….. she has done nothing but love him unconditionally after all this year yet he still beat her up and treat her like trash…. even if his ready to atone for his sins she’s not sure if she can still ever forgive him for all his done…. she’s just thankful that her son found love and didn’t turn out to be like his father.
Maria on the other hand waited for Stanley for another three good years making it the total number of six years….
Stanley never called her, they only chat on Facebook sometimes, that she didn’t even know Stanley had been back in the country for two years and was married with a kid…..
It was already too late for her to come back to tony who was begging for her love before because tony already got married to Josephine… the lady he met on the plane when he was traveling to US
Josephine wasn’t comfortable with Maria staying in the house, not after tony had told her how he felt about her before…. she asked tony to send her away…. but at least set up a little business for her.
Tony did as his newly bride had commanded but Maria didn’t want the money…. she wanted tony to love her again.
Chenemi put to bed twins, a boy and a girl….. the girl was exactly like her….. very stubborn while the son was the gentle one.
Janet met a man she fell in love with and did her marriage….. she left Mrs Stella’s house to her husband’s place but she never stopped visiting the woman who took her as a daughter and gave her a home.
