Coral and Lovane swam back to Oceania then Coral went in to see Anais.
“Now tell me the other ingredients for the ritual” Coral hurled
“you have to let Leo out first” Anais said
“I will.. once am done with the ritual”
“Coral you can’t do this”
“You don’t tell me what to do Anais”
Anais sighed “But promise not to hurt them”
Coral sm-irked “I promise to do as I will.. now tell me the ingredients”
“The n£¢klace is all you nee-d”
“you can’t fool me.. it’s not just the n£¢klace”
“a drop of blood from a pure spirit…”
“Pure spirit? And what does that mean?”
“The globe didn’t say”
“Go on.. I know the ingredients aren’t complete”
“The hair of ruler”
“Ruler?”
“The soul of truth”

“someone who speaks the truth”
“interesting– go on”
Anais observed a pause “Are you sure of this? This is going to cost you a lot”
“Don’t taste me patience Anais.. go on”
“I can’t continue”
“Anais?!”
“you can kill me now but I won’t continue”
“How about I kill Leo and his daughters?”
“Coral?!”
“I knew you wouldn’t want that so go on”
Anais looked around and saw a sword hanging on a weed. She swam to it and drew the sword from its sheath.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Coral hurled
“I won’t watch you destroy Oceania”
“And you think fighting me would help?” Coral scoffed
“Am not going to fight you but I won’t tell you the last ingredient” Anais said and stabbe-d herself with the sword
“Fool!” Coral fumed and drew out the sword from Anais’ b©dy “you’ll regret this” she muttered and cut off Anais head. Coral swam to the glove and looked into it but she couldn’t see anything. Anais was the only one who un-derstands the globe.

Warren swam to the dungeon and hid at the place he used to stay 8 years ago whenever he wanted to see Océane. He peeked in throu-gh the window and called Océane.
“Océane?!”
Océane looked up from the stone she sat and saw Warren at the window.
“Warren?!”
“Océane?! It’s really you” Warren said excitedly
Océane swam to meet Warren at the window “Warren?! It’s good to see you again”
“you too.. but not in this condition. I didn’t want you to end up in the dungeon again” Warren said looking I to the dungeon then his eyes drifted to Leo and Yasmine “who are they?”
Océane looked o be r her shoulder then back to Warren “That’s my father– Leo.. and my friend– Yasmine”
“Leo? King Neptune’s son that father always said was his good friend?”
“Yes”
“How did you manage to meet?”
“up on land”
“and the mermaid, is she your sister?”
“No but I met her on land” Océane said and turned to Leo and Yasmine “Father?! Yasmine?! come say hi”
“who is he?” Leo asked as they swam to the window
“your friend Nathan’s son”
“Really? Your father Nathan was a good friend”
“He spoke a lot about you” Warren said
“am happy you’re alive.. Océane told me a lot about you”
“Coral has done a lot to us” Warren said
“Am sorry” Leo apologized
“it’s not our fault. Let’s find a way to get you out of here” Warren said
Yasmine heard someone approaching the dungeon then she whirled around and sE Coral swimming towards the dungeon with some mermen guards.
“what does she want?” Yasmine asked in a whisper as they watched Coral a d the mermen approach the dungeon
“I have to go now.. Coral can’t see me with you” Warren said and swam out
“Bring Océane out” Coral ordered the mermen when they got to the dungeon. They opened it and dragged Océane out.
“Coral what do you want from her?” Leo asked trying to fight back but the dungeon was locked
“I come in peace cousin brother” Coral began
“By the norms of Oceania, you don’t belong here and so does your daughters.. that makes me the next ruler after Neptune so all I ask is my power to rule”
“Am not giving you the n£¢klace” Leo stated
“Is the n£¢klace more precious than your daughter?”
Leo glanced at Océane “you’re not going to do anything to her” he said
“what makes you so sure?” Coral sm-irked and swam behind Océane who was held by the mermen “I’ll spare her if you give me the n£¢klace but if you don’t.. then I’ll kill her like I killed Anais”
“You killed mother Anais?”
“So sad right? Océane is going to confirm that”
“don’t give it to her” Océane spat out
Coral giggled “I’ve got hungry sea lions waiting” she pointed to a cage of sea lions
“let her go” Leo said
“Are you willing to pay the price?”
Leo took off the n£¢klace “let her go”
“Don’t give it to her” Océane insisted
“There’s no nee-d to fight if you’re not here” Leo said
“Good cousin brother. Good choice” Coral sm-irked and swam to the dungeon “now give it to me”
“Let Océane go first”
“you don’t give me conditions” coral snarled
“But I do” Yasmine ch!pped in
“poor little abominations” Coral seethed
Yasmine huffed loudly and swam out of the dungeon with her tail cutting the bars.
“How did you do that?” Coral asked in astonishment
Yasmine sm-irked and swam towards the mermen and they quic-kly re-leased Océane in fear. Coral raged in anger and charged towards Leo. She sl@pped the n£¢klace off his hand with her tail and it started sinking into the water. Coral went after it and so did Yasmine and Océane. Coral was ahead but Océane swam past her.
“Abominations!” Coral gr-unted as Yasmine also swam past her.
Océane got to the n£¢klace and was about catching it when Coral pushed her with her tail.
Océane fell out and Coral caught the n£¢klace.
“No!” Océane and Yasmine screamed
“Finally!” Coral sm-irked and her eyes turned red
“mother st©p this” Lovane bellowed as she swam to Coral with Warren behind her
“What’s wrong my Lovane?”
“you can’t rule. It’s not right”
“Who has been feeding you with lies?”
“Mother the throne isn’t ours. Neptune lifted the ban before he died”
“who told you that?”
“it’s the truth and you know it”
“Did you just speak the truth?” Coral advanced towards Lovane
“I just realized it and I stand for the truth”
Coral stretched her f!ngersand they brou-ght out claws “all I nee-d is the throne” she said and pierced them into Lovane’s stomach
“Mother?!” Lovane g@sped as her soul L ft her and entered the n£¢klace
“The ritual has just begun” Coral pushed Lovane’s lifeless b©dy away and Warren caught her. He closed her lashes and let her sink de-ep into the water
“you’re evil” Yasmine cussed
“I agree” Coral said “Now I nee-d the hair of a ruler”
“The ritual isn’t going to work” Leo said from behind
“why do you say so cousin brother?”
“cause you killed the last ingredient”
“Liar! Her soul is the first ingredient”
“you rearranged them” Leo stated
“I don’t care” Coral yelled and wore the n£¢klace “you’re up next”
Yasmine swam up to Coral from behind and pushes her with her tail causing a cut on Coral’s tail.
Coral screamed and gr@bb£d Yasmine’s n£¢k. Warren took Coral unaware and pushed her away from Yasmine.
“Thank you” Yasmine coughed tou-ching her n£¢k
Coral drew a sword from one of the mermen and charged towards Warren and Yasmine. They swam seperate ways and Coral missed her target. She whirled around and Leo blocked her with a sword.
“Let’s make peace Coral”
“I stand for war” Coral sneered a d aimed her sword at Leo but he st©pped her with his sword. They fought for a long time till Coral pushed Leo with her tail and his swords de off his hand. Coral threw her sword at h but it missed target and crossed Leo’s head, cutting some strands of his hair. Coral charged towards Leo to stab him with her nails then the strands that had been cut off Leo’s hand fell on the n£¢klace. Coral felt a f0rç£ enter her and her eyes turned darker.
“The hair of a ruler” she sm-irked “the last ingredient to go” she swam off and Leo went after her.
“The people aren’t fighting for her” Warren observed the merpeople who were quivering in fear as they hid un-der shells and weeds “we could get them to help us”
“How?” Océane wanted to know

Coral swam to a path in the palace that was known to be crossed by only pure spirits. She made to swim into it but an invisible barricade st©pped her.
“Coral?!” Leo called also st©pping at the boundary
“I can’t rule cause am not pure.. but what makes you so sure that you’re pure?” Coral sm-irked
“Am not as evil as you are to kill your own blood”
“But you were evil to forsake your people. What makes you different from me?”
“you’re talking nons-en-se Coral”
“I dare you to prove that you’re pure and cross the boundary”
“I know that you’re up to something Coral but am not going to fall for it” Leo said
Coral sm-irked and pushed Leo into the boundary but the invisible boundary st©pped him.
“you’re not the one” Coral muttered

Océane, Yasmine, and Warren, swam into Anais’ she’ll along with the other four queens.
“Mother Anais must be lying down there now” Queen Zoe said sadly, staring into the bo-ttomof the water
“let’s think of a way to rotate the globe first. We could find the last ingredient before Coral does” Queen Celia said
“Mother Anais was the only one gifted to rotate the globe after her mother and she didn’t bless anyone before dying” Queen Dalia said
“Océane should try.. she’s Mother Anais’ offspring” Queen Zoe suggested
“That’s true– Océane try it” Queen Celia urged
“I’ve never tried rotating the globe” Océane stuttered
“just spre-ad your hands around it and tell us what you see” Queen Moria instructed
Océane swam reluctantly to the globe and spre-ad her hands around it but it didn’t move.
“it’s not rotating” she said
“How are we going to survive now? The globe is Oceania” Queen Dalia said
“let me try” that was Yasmine
“you’re not a citizen” Queen Zoe protested
“let her try.. all we nee-d is a helper” Queen Moria stated
Yasmine swam to the globe and Océane swam aside then she spre-ad her hands around it. They all watched her but the globe didn’t move.
“She won’t be able to rotate it.. how can a foreigner control Oceania?” Queen Zoe snarled
“move” Yasmine smiled to the glove impatiently and it started rotating
“What?!” The Queens g@sped
“what do you see?” Queen Celia asked
Yasmine swallowed ha-rd as she went into a trance, lost in the globe.
“we nee-d to find…. ”
“Find what?”
Yasmine g@sped and swam away from the globe “we have to st©p Coral”
“What’s the last ingredient?”
“a fin”
The Queens exchanged glances “whose fin?”
“I’ll see to that but first let’s st©p Coral before she st©ps us”
“Who’s the pure spirit?” Queen Dalia wanted to know
“The one who’s bond would be a sacrifice” Yasmine replied
“How?”
“That’s what the globe said but let’s st©p Coral first” Yasmine said and led the match out.

They swam to Coral and Leo who were fighting near the boundary. Coral on seeing Océane took off the n£¢klace and threw into the boundary. Océane swam after the n£¢klace and swam past the boundary.
“she’s the one.. just as I thought” Coral sm-irked and waited till Océane swam out with the n£¢klace. Coral charged towards Océane and snatched the n£¢klace from her. She brou-ght out her claws and cut Océane on her hand. Océane closed the cut with her palm to st©p her blood from gushing out. Coral made to push Océane but Warren dragged Océane out. Leo seized Coral from behind and Yasmine snatched the n£¢klace from her. Yasmine swam fast to Océane then took a drop of her blood and dropped in the n£¢klace.
“what’s the last ingredient?” Warren asked
Yasmine broke a fin from her tail and carved a hole in the n£¢klace then added more of Océane’s blood to the n£¢klace then swam back to Leo and Coral. Coral pushed Leo away and dove for Yasmine. Yasmine dodged her and threw the n£¢klace to Leo who caught it
“wear it now” Yasmine said
“No!” Coral screamed and made to go after Leo but Yasmine seized her. Leo wore the n£¢klace and everyone froze to see what would happen but nothing happened.
“I’ll destroy you” Coral swore and drew a sword then swam out. Leo, Yasmine, Warren, Océane, and the Queens swam after Coral.
Coral swam into a shell filled with thousands of bright shining objects that looked like bulbs.
“Coral don’t!” Leo bellowed and swam fas-ter after Coral while the rest st©pped
“what are those?” Yasmine asked no one in p@rticular
“Everyone’s bond, both the living and the dead. Once yours get broken, that ends your bond with the water” Warren replied
“Then what does she want to do?” Océane asked
“I think she wants to break Leo’s bond to s£nd him out of Oceania forever” Warren replied
“she can’t do that” Océane said
“Let’s just hope Leo will be able to st©p her before she does”
Coral got to the t©p of the bonds and swam to Leo’s bond which was the brightest bond.
“Coral don’t!” Leo yelled and pushed her away.
Coral huffed loudly and threw the sword at Leo but he dodged it and the sword struck one of the bonds, shattering it to pieces.
“No!” Leo screamed and caught the sword. He swam to Coral and stabbe-d her in her heart. Coral g@sped out blood and sank to the bo-ttomof the water. Dead.
“what’s happening?” Océane asked as she watched herself turn to dust. Leo swam to the and tried tou-ching Océane but his hand went throu-gh her.
“It can’t be”
“What’s happening?” Yasmine asked
“Coral broke her bond.. she’s going” Leo replied almost in tears
“Yasmine?! Warren?! Father?! What’s happening to me?” Océane asked in fear as she faded and started floating away
“Is there no way to save her?” Warren asked
“Am afraid there isn’t” Queen Zoe replied and all the queens bowed their heads.
