Chapter 1
As i walked into the school compound, i saw Tobi and her friends walking out of the compound, I wanted to approach her and tell her what I feel about her, of course my courage failed me yet again. I loved everything about her, the way she walks, talks, smile and her personality, she didnt know me, I knew her from a distance, we were in different dep@rtments and different levels, I was in my third year, while she was in her second..
I often see her at the carteen, the school gate and some other p@rts of the school. i had tried my best to get her off my mind, but the more I tried, the ha-rder it gets. no girl had ever made me felt that way, I’d summon courage and rehears all to tell her ,but once I see her, I won’t even have the courage to go closer to her, let alone pres£nt all I had rehears.
whenever I see her, I don’t know what to do. I woudn’t even be able to say a word….
She was looking very beautiful as always, I turned and admired her as she walked pas-s me with her friends..

“Kunle plea-se you are simply annoying,get to the house and look for what to eat” I said to him.
Life went by in school, and of course I saw my angel from afar daily without her knowing I existed, I was okay seeing her daily, not until I started seeing her with a very handsome guy almost all the time. obviously she had found herself a b©yfri£nd.

I had to think less of her, since she was alre-ady out of reach, but de-ep down my heart ,I still loved her and wished she was mine. soon I was in my finals, I tried my best to concentrate, studied and graduated in flying colours. i went for service in Portharcout were I was posted, and then returned to Lagos my base to look for a job.
It’s been Eight months and I was yet to get a job, thankfully one evening I received a message in my mail, saying I should resume in a company I had went for interview some months back. i was very Grateful to God, and the job was amazing. i was doing well, I could take care of myself and my mother and still have enough to save…
I was able to secure a place for my friend K, and we were working together in the same place.
One afternoon during lunch break, I and K went to have something to eat, when we saw this beautiful and elegant lady walked majestically in to the restaurant, she was so adorable,, taking a closer glance, it was my crush from the University.

i thought about what he said, and knew it was high time I spoke up.i sipped my glas-s of jui-ce and went to her table.

“okay boss lady, whether Temi or t©pe they are both my name’s,,,most people call me Temi, but I wouldn’t mind having a beautiful lady like you calling me t©pe..I said.

i am Tobechukwu ,plea-se call me Tobi.(if only she knew I had known her name for a long time),,,

“i didn’t want to tell her I had been following her around like a lost puppy loving her from afar.
TEMI, it’s way past our lunch break, Kunle c@m£ in to ruin the moment,

okay she replied, i gave her my phone and she typed her number, after that i cleared her bills without her knowledge and then went back to the office.
Chapter 2
….I was all smiles as I walked out of the restaurant with K, it felt liked I had won a jackpot, it then dawn on me I still loved that lady, I couldn’t help but thank the heavens for ma-king our paths crossed again. i was very very Happy..

Getting to the office ,I was so joyious, love is a beautiful thing indeed. it was re-ady 5, and I wra-pped up everything, it was time to close, I really nee-ded to get home so I could peacefully call Tobi, of course without Kunle’s interference.
“okay man, e go dey be, see ya “I said to kunle as I rushed to where my car was ,so I could drive home

“mama is not around, and you are rushing home few minutes past five on a Friday evening, brother man, are you okay, I mean it’s Friday,and it’s time with the boys “kunle said….
“oh kunle, you are right ohh, but not this Friday ,there is something I nee-d to do at home, an emergency actually…
What?, what’s up, is everything ok.,hope all is cool, do you nee-d my help? K asked out of concern,,
oh noooo,don’t worry K, it’s what I can not handle, I’d handle everything trust me.okay

Getting home, I rushed to the bathroom, freshened up, wore a nice sh0t and t©p, wore some nice deodorant and perfumes like I was preparing for a celebrity occasion,or like she was there in person. after all that, I l@ymajestically on my be-d, I placed a call throu-gh to her Excellency.
“Hello, she answered

We spoke for several more minutes, I had bu-tterflies in my stomach ,I wanted to ask her about the guy in school then, but I resulted not spoiling the atmosphere with such, I didn’t want to push my luck to far.
Calling Tobi become a ritual, and my day certainly wasn’t complete if I didn’t hear from her.
Days had run into weeks and I asked her out, she agreed to have dinner with me. i took her to one of the finest restaurant I know ,it was a ro-mantic dinner by the way, she was marvelled at all she saw, she wasn’t expecting all that Certainly. she enjoined herself, and then I asked her to be mine, she gave a broad smile and said YES. i was very happy, we had become an item…
I was very happy the next day, so I disclosed the news to Kunle

my love life with Tobi was amazing, she was everything I hoped she was and more.she was loving,caring,nice, beautiful in and out, infact she was perfect. i felt I was the luckiest man alive. i took her out for shoppings, we went to small vacations to different places, all I wanted was just to make her happy .A smile on her face was an ocean of joy in my heart. i loved her so much and was very glad she loved me too. i just couldn’t imagine my life without her in it, hence I was re-ady to go forever with her.
She was coming over that weekend, when I made her favourite meal, did some ro-mantic stuff with rose flowers, and then popped the big question. she happily said yes. i was more than happy, that was the most precious day of my life. the lady I loved so much had accepted to spend her life forever with me. it was worth celebr@ting,we went out and had fun, went shopping the next day and went to so many fun places…
On Sunday of it, I took her to see maami, she was a little anxious as I told her we were going to see mama
oh my God, honey, are you sure she’s going to like me,is my dress okay,are my shoes good,is my make up too heavy, is my hair fine” she kept asking different questions

Soon we had arrived Mama’s house.
“Ibunkun, where is mama “I asked the girl leaving with her as a helper.

“but your name is Tobi, Oluwatobiloba abi? mama asked her
“oh no mama, it is Tobechukwu ma,Tobi for short” Tobi replied…

I walked besides maami , while she lead the way….
