“Elena!!!” Shane screamed again with fearful red eyes
He ran out of the restroom and went out to the pool area again but she’s still not there
He dialled her line and it’s ringing beside the pool
He went there and took her phone then stared at it fearfully
“Where are you?” He whispered silently
Right now his head is in disarray cos he’s going crazy alre-ady
He ran out of the place to the other mansions and checked their restrooms too not minding the girls inside
“Elena!, Elena!!” He kept screaming, ma-king everyone wonder if he has gone mad
He checked almost everything and almost started crying when he couldn’t find her but his phone rang in his hand
He checked and found it’s an unknown number
He picked with shaky hands and spoke with a shaky voice
“He .. hello” he said
“Where are you?, I went inside the mansion to get my headband only for me to come back and you’re nowhere to be found, I had to borrow someone’s phone in the next mansion to make this call when I couldn’t find my phone beside the pool, where are you? ” Elena’s voice said and that instant, his loud heartbeats calmed and he breathed ha-rd
He cut the call and ran all the way back to their mansion where he truly saw her standing beside the pool again
He embr@ced her in a ti-ght hvg and k!$$£d her hair fondly
“I told you to wait for me” he said, hvgging her ti-ghter
“I just went in briefly, I’m sorry” she replied and tried to break the hvg but he never let her go
” Shane” she whispered
“Never go anywhere without me anymore…” He said
“But…
” plea-se!, I’m begging you” he interrupted, finally breaking the hvg
“Shane what happened?” She asked surprisingly
” I almost died, I thought you’re gone, I thought he took you away from me, I thought I’d never see you again and that thought almost succeeded in ma-king me go crazy” he said
” You though he took me away?, Who? ” She asked
” Your naivety is driving me insane too” he said and hvgged her again
” I’m sorry for going in without you, I promise not to go anywhere without you anymore” she said
“I love you very much and I don’t want to lose you, I can’t lose you too, I can’t” he said
Elena hvgged him ti-ghter and rested her head on his che-st
” I love you” she replied slowly, closing her eyes

Daisy just finished dressing up after the several rounds of se-x with sir Martinez in his office, she sat on his l@ps and smiled bit-chily

” We haven’t even done a lot but you’re here saying you want to eat, eat what?, Are you crazy?, Pres£ntation is in four weeks” Miley complained, working on the l@pt©p
” St©p pretending that you’re a serious student, we all know you care less when it comes to studies” Laurette replied, getting canned food from the fridge
” I don’t care about studies, fine, but this is project!, Project for crying out loud!” Miley screamed
” Hey don’t break your voice box, let’s continue” Laurette replied and sat beside her again
” I wish I was paired with Shane or Eros or Warren” Miley said
“Did you just say Warren?, Since when did you start liking his company?, You said he’s the one you hate most after Elena” Laurette said
” Whatever” Miley sh0t and concentrated back on the l@pt©p
Till they finished for the day , Laurette Won’t st©p teasing her about Warren and it’s rather annoying so she left early
“That pest” she said as she entered her car and the drive home started
She took her phone and her hand t©uçhed the message icon, the first thing she c@m£ across is Warren’s numerous messages to her, the ones she loves ignoring or cursing him about
She rere-ad everything and started smiling without knowing
“That punk” she said and as if he’s hearing, she saw him across the road
“St©p the car” she told the driver and he obeyed
She watched as he c@m£ out of a restaurant with a younger girl who looks like his sis cos of the resemblance
He carried the girl in his arms and pe-cked her then ate from the ice cream she’s holding, then the girl pe-cked him back and Miley smiled without knowing
“She’s cute” her mind said and she continued watching till they entered the car and drove off
Miley sighed and faced front. “Why did I even st©p?” She asked herself
“Drive” she ordered the driver who obeyed immediately

Dre spent over two hours at the bar after work, drinking honourably and pla-ying games on his phone
“Lonely life huh?” He said to himself and drank from his cu-p of whiskey
His mind went back to Tara and he inhaled ha-rd
“Life is full off different people, the other time she was violent and looks merciless, but today she looks helpless and weak” he said
” She’s definitely going throu-gh a lot, but such is life right?, Yes, everyone can’t be same” he said and stood to go
He got in his car in front of the bar and started the drive home, just in the city TV, he saw the news about the serial killer again, it says the cops are doing their best to capture him
“Who knows who he’ll be killing tonight” he wondered, checking the time, it’s past ten
” I’m feeling sleepy alre-ady, I should go home and get some sleep” he thought but that changed when he saw a car zooming into a p@rticular street r0ûghly
Not that there aren’t rou-gh riders but this time of the night, it’s quiet suspicious with how expensive the car looks
He decided to follow and he did.

Tara is just getting home after a long day of job hunting as usual and she didn’t get employed as usual too, she even got pushed
“I’m just one unlucky girl, mum your girl is suffering here” she said sadly, opening the restaurant food she bought
“Thanks to Mr ugly face, I wouldn’t have had anything to eat tonight” she said, finding a spoon to start eating but a knock suddenly sounded on the door and she looked that way
“Who’s there?, I don’t have any friend” she said slowly, walking to the door but when she remembered the news about the serial killer, her heart started pounding fast and she quic-kly gr@bb£d her kitchen knife
“Who’s there!” She asked but got no answer, instead, the knock c@m£ again
“Who’s there?” She asked but the knock c@m£ again and her fears got doubled
She placed her hand on the knob and slowly started turning it but the lights suddenly went off and her heart flew off instantly
Darkness replaced the lights and fear filled up her lungs, she breathed fear as air and it’s chocking as she stayed beside the wall and the knife fell from her hand
“Aaarrrrggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!” She screamed loudly, blocking her ears with her palms and the knocking on the door st©pped instantly, she heard footsteps outside and soon it faded away till everything bec@m£ silent and the lights c@m£ back on
She opened her eyes which were closed before and surprisingly, right in front of her is ugly face, crossing his arms on his che-st
“Yo… you?” She stuttered
“Fifty Euros?’ Dre replied, shocked that she’s the one he saved
He wasn’t with his gun, he’d have sh0t down the intruder and it seems attacking won’t be nice since the person will be with weapons, that’s why he c@m£ in throu-gh the back window
“What are you doing here?” Tara demanded
*Calm down I just saved your as-s” he replied simply
” You put off the lights?” She asked
“Yes, if I hadn’t done that, the serial killer would have probably have your eyes gouged out of your b©dy right now” Dre replied, looking around the house
” You mean…it was…the serial killer?'” she asked fearfully
” Sure, but it’s ok now, I c@m£ in throu-gh your back window, you even left it open, how careless” Dre said and all Tara could do is stare
“Leaving any of your window open is not advisable, strange things happen these days and you won’t want to get caught in the middle of it, be careful” Dre said and started walking towards the door
” You’re leaving?” Tara asked fearfully
“Sure, this is not my house” he replied straight, then he made to turn the doorknob but Tara obstructed
“plea-se don’t go, what if he comes back” she said
“Protect yourself” Dre replied
” I beg you plea-se, I don’t want to die, I’m still too young to die” she pleaded and surprisingly, tears escaped the corner of her beautiful eyes
Dre watched as the tears streamed down her cheeks slowly, begging for him to stay and never leave
“plea-se, just stay huh?, I promise not to ask for money again anytime I meet you though I can’t promise to return the ones I’ve taken, just protect me, plea-se” she begged vehemently, sniffing as she continued crying heavily
Dre stood like a confused being, contemplating in his heart on what to do, a p@rt of him wants to stay and the other p@rt…. also wants to stay, yes he wishes to stay, not like he’s one sort of a protector anyways but her tears makes her look pitiful
“What will you give if I stay?’ he asked
“I bought food, you can eat it” she said quic-kly
Dre c@m£ back and watched the whole house that’s more like a room cos it has no rooms, just where they are
It has a small table, a be-dspre-ad on the floor which serves as her be-d, then her small bag of clothes just beside the be-dspre-ad
“There’s no bathroom or restroom?” Dre asked
“there is” she replied, pointing at a small room at the upper end
“Oh, there’s a room after all” Dre thought
Tara sat on the ground and Dre followed suit by doing the same while facing her
“Here, you can eat it” she said, pointing at the food on the table
” You have another dinner to eat?’ he said
” No, but I can manage” she replied, smiling brightly and despite the fact that it’s night, the lights made herl-ips shine again
Maybe herl-ips does radiate anytime she smiles and it’s cute
“Eat up, It’s fine, I mean I’m fine” he said
“I have nothing else to offer” she replied
*I know, just eat” he replied and she slowly started eating, avoiding his eyes cos he was staring althrou-gh
“You live here alone?” He asked
“Yes” she replied slowly, st©pping her food for a while
“Your parents?” He asked
“Dead, since last year” she replied
“I’m sorry” he said
” it’s ok, and thanks for staying” she smiled
“What did you go to Sir Martinez company to do earlier?” He asked
” Obviously to look for a job, but the idiot told me to give him my b©dy first before he’ll offer a job” she replied
” And?” Dre said, feeling annoyed
“He had me dragged out when I refused” she replied
“I knew it, he’s a man who-re” Dre replied
*But it’s fine, I’ve always been unlucky, nothing comes easy for me” she replied
” Since when have you been looking for a job?” He asked
“Last two months, and I must confess it has been hell” she replied
” What did you study in school?’ he asked.
“Bussiness admin, but too bad there’s no one to test out my ability, I’m quite good” she smiled
” Oh” he replied
She continued eating and he looked around the whole house again, even God knows Dre can’t live there if it costs his life
“Mind coming to work as one of my sales repres£ntatives?” He suddenly asked and she almost choked
” Huh?” She said, looking up swiftly
“Come work in my company, as from Monday” he said
“Your company?” She asked surprisingly
” I’m into textiles, and I’m one of the best when it comes to textiles, ever heard of MD textiles?” He asked
” Of course, I was planning to make that place my next st©p” she replied hopefully
” This is the CEO sitting in front of you” Dre replied
“What!” She exclaimed with big shocked eyes
” Yes” Dre smiled and she had to cover her mouth with her palm so she won’t scream out loud
Her mind drifted to when she deflated his tyres and the spoon fell off her hand, she covered her face with her hair
“Ok money goddess , Tara you’re dead* she said, ma-king faces
“Why did you deflate my tyre?” He asked
“I was frustrated” she replied
” So you decided to wash away your frustration by deflating my tyre” he said
” I’m sorry” she said humbly
” Never knew there’d be an humble side to the great Tara” Dre smiled
” I’m really sorry, I’m not always like that” she replied
“Then am I ugly?” He asked
” Oh, no you should know that’s not true, was just trying to catch some cruise by saying you’re ugly, in fact you’re one of the most handsome men I’ve ever come across , seriously you’re dashing and I mean it” she replied quic-kly
Dre smiled and blu-shed secretly
“Is the work still valid?, I mean..at your office” she said expectantly
” I never go back on my words” Dre smiled and she jumped up immediately, jumping around the place and Dre smiled as if they’ve known each other for centuries
“Don’t worry, I won’t call you ugly face anymore, what’s your name sir?” She asked politely
” Dre Marcus” he replied
“Oh, Mr Marcus” she smiled, sitting down again
” Seriously you don’t know how much this means Mr Marcus, thanks a lot I really I’m grateful” she smiled
” It’s nothing” he replied and she continued eating
” But like seriously, you’re crazy” Dre said
She looked up and smiled
“Many people say that” she replied
*But it’s interesting” he replied
“Then I can deflate your tyre again right sir?” She smiled
” Then I can take back the job, right girl?” Dre smiled
” I take back my words* she quic-kly replied and Dre smiled again
She finished eating and drank water
“I’m feeling sleepy” Dre said, moving to the be-dspre-ad on the floor
” You call this be-d? , You don’t get b©dy ache when you wake up?” He asked
” I’m used to it” she replied, slee-ping on the other side of the spre-ad
Dre sle-pt on the other end with much space between them
“Goodnight Mr protector ” Tara smiled and her eyes went shut immediately, her heavy breaths followed, an evidence that she’s alre-ady slee-ping
“This is crazy Dre, i don’t even know what I’m doing here, oh I’m protecting the girl who deflated my tyre” he thought, looking at her slee-ping face
But it’s funny, he wouldn’t have believed it if anyone told him he’ll end up like this one day but it’s interesting, she’s interesting
And about the serial killer, he never saw his face cos he was wearing a cap over his face but his mind tells him he’ll be caught just soon
He looked at Tara again and decided not to fight against what his mind is telling him

Next day**
“The equipments arrived from China last night” Louis broke the news
” Whoa!, OMG!, So our company will be set this week, we can start work next week then” Cheryl replied, looking up from her cu-p of cornflakes since they agreed to take something simple this morning
“Yes, and this wouldn’t have been possible without my baby girl, thanks heartbeat” Louis replied, sitting next to her
” It’s nothing, let’s keep working together , we can do it” she squealed happily, shoving another spoon of milk and cornflakes into her mouth, intensionally staining her mouth with milk in the process
“Hey wait” Louis said, taking tissue
“What are you gonna do with that?” Cheryl asked
“Wipe the droplets of milk on the table” he smiled and wiped carefully before facing her
” Wasn’t gonna wipe yourl-ips with that, what were you thinking?” He said cutely, letting his eyes hover around her milkyl-ips..
“Looks delicious right?” She said, dropping her cu-p
“Sure, and you nee-d to st©p talking, I’ll take care of this” he replied and k!$$£d her, ma-king sure to li-ck off the milk on herl-ips.

Evening**.
Getting dropped in front of her house by Shane after the sweet vacation, Elena hvgged Shane for so long before letting him go
“I will always love you honeydrop, can’t trade your love for anything, trust me” she said, tou-ching his cheek
” Me too, I love you more than anything, just stay safe for me Princess, ok?” He said and she nodded
He pe-cked her but she k!$$£d him lightly before getting off the car
His driver helped her take in her bags and she waved at him before going in but Shane never left
Getting in, she met Bella in the living room but the look on her face is not good at all
“Mum, did something happen?” She asked and took a glance at the table, she saw two picture frames and immediately she took them , Bella started crying silently
One is Elena’s picture as a kid, the one she has seen, and the other frame is the picture of another girl as a kid, carbon copy of Samantha, Elena’s b©dy shaked as she looked at the two and it almost fell
“What’s. .. what’s… what’s this …mum?” She inquired shakily
” You’re a twin Elena, I gave birth to twins, you and Samantha” Bella cried
” What!” Elena replied shockingly
“Forgive me for keeping it all this while, just that the circu-mtances surrounding your birth is sad, that’s why I kept it” she said
” Mum” Elena said slowly, letting her tears fall too
” Thomas was really in love with me and he’ll do anything to make me happy back then, he was genuinely in love with me but I never loved him, it was a loveless marriage cos my heart belongs to Carl, even after I got married to Thomas, I still see Carl secretly and we had a lot of things together which made me become pregnant with his child and Thomas thought it’s his own…”
” I kept it as a secret and he kept showering me with love and care when I was pregnant, Carl was his best friend then, I gave birth after nine months to two bouncing baby girls, you and Samantha, Thomas’s joy knew no bounds but inside me, I felt guilty…”
” After a month of giving birth to you guys, you both went sick same day as a result of shortage of blood, it’s dangerous so saving you guys was all that mattered, before I could st©p him, he went for donation cos your blood type wasn’t available at the hospital back then, but it happened that the blood of you guys didn’t match with his blood, it was confirmed that he’s not your dad…”
” I had to call Carl and he c@m£ for the donation, Thomas left the hospital immediately and never c@m£ back till after a month, he never talked to me and whenever I try to beg, he won’t answer me, a week later I heard of Carl’s death and I almost went insane cos his b©dy wasn’t found either, never knew it was Thomas’s handiwork”
” Then a month after, I was going to the sto-re to get household items and it’ll be ha-rd to take you two, Thomas suddenly turned kind and told me he’ll help me watch over one, I gladly agreed and left but only to come back and find out he has dropped Samantha in an orphanage, I rushed there but as a result of her cuteness, she has been adopted by the Tanners, I went back home with anger and sl@pped Thomas on the face …”.
” I think that brou-ght out all the anger he has been keeping and since then he has been threatening to kill me and my daughters, i decided to leave Samantha with the Tanners since she seems safer with them but unfortunately she died in a plane crash last year and Carl appeared two weeks ago, it’s Thomas who has been after your life all these while …”
” I never meant to do all these Elena, it was my foolishness” Bella said
Elena’s head is like a scattered libr@ry right now with a lot to set but no one to do that, her tears has alre-ady soa-ked her blouse and it’s still falling heavily
This is just too much … Too much to take in all at a time, too much that it’s suffocating
“Elena I’m sorry I didn’t mean to…”
She never waited for Bella to finish, she ran out of the house in bitter tears
So her mum knows about it, her mum kept this from her, this much?, So much that it could kill?
“My head, my head, my head” she said, feeling like it’s gonna explode and getting panic attack immediately
She held her head and stood on a sp©t

Her mum, her dad, Carl, Samantha, Mrs Tanner…
Everything succeeded in giving her shock and panic attack, then more tears fell from her eyes and she started going down but thankfully she fell into safe hands
The arms she knows, the arms she’s sure of its owner
“Shane” she mumbled before losing consciousness
