CHAPTER 63
Watching the moonlight together on a bench, Umbrie and Kieran held hands in silence. Each have different thoughts going throu-ghtheir minds. Looking at how crazy, exciting and boring life has been for them in the past few weeks, they could only wonder how they didn’t see it coming.
“The moon goddess has been doing this to us all this while, why didn’t we see it earlier?” Kieran asked her after a moment of silence.
“I know, that is what I was thinking too. We used to argue a lot and didn’t have un-derstanding. Then all of a sudden, we crave for each other badly. She must have done this because we won’t stop fighting every time.” Umbrie replied.
“This must be the curse placed on mates who are meant to be no matter what. You won’t stop arguing with me at every given chance, that’s why she made us inseparable.”
“I hate you.” Umbrie rolled her eyes, “It’s your fault that this is happening to us.”
“You mean you love me.” She glared at him, “Cause I do a lot. I love you Umbrie.”
Umbrie’s glare faded away and was replaced with a happy face. “Aww… Finally you say something I’ve wanted to hear since. I love you too.”
“You just said you hate me.”
She pla-yfully leaned on his shoulder, “Do you have to bring the past up? We love each other. That is more important.”
“I promise you and the moon goddess, I will be the best man you’ll ever nee-d. There won’t be any nee-d to curse us anymore, it would be more than just a curse.” He @$$ured her.
“Well… I guess I have to make the same promise to you and the moon goddess. I promise to be the best woman you’ll ever nee-d. I will stop being silly and annoying. I will try not to argue with you anymore. I want us to be happy the way we are now.” She also promised.
Kieran brou-ght her face up and kizzed her lightly. Then they continued to watch the moon together.

FEW MONTHS LATER
Umbrie walked majestically into the elevator as the employees kept saying hello to her. They all know who she is and how important she is to the owners of the company. She had been here do many times in the past few months to see her boyfriend who now works there.
Well he doesn’t fully work there since he still has to go to school. But then, he is now running it when his parents are not around. Because school or not, this will become his eventually. He has been introduced as the heir and new owner to the employees who don’t know him before.
Umbrie also now works at a big beauty shop where she is also learning the basics of the business. This is due to the influence of her mother in law, both she and Daphne stayed there to learn together. They planned to open their own business together.
Umbrie usually brings Kieran food on her lunch break. School is starting soon, so the work would have to be on a few days then. She walked into the office and met Kieran very busy with some papers. Kieran looked up immediately she walked in, he perceived her scent.
“I was so hungry before you came. I have been anticipating your arrival.” He said abandoning the papers and coming for Umbrie. He pulled her into his embr@ce smiling.
“What? Don’t tell me you did not have breakfast this morning.” Umbrie asked dropping the food flask.
“I did. It’s ha-rd not to stay hungry when I have someone like you as my girlfriend.” He winked at her.
She pushed him off slightly, “Don’t you dare think about stupid things during work hours. We are not going to…”
He cuts her off with a kizz. He pulled her wa-ist close, they both kizzed completely forgetting that they are in the office. The door opened and Louis walked in. He stopped on his tracks, they are too immersed in each other to know that someone is there.
He cleared his throat making the both of them pull away. Umbrie looked away shyly, Louis just smiled at her. This sight is not something new to him as he has been seeing this a lot since he started working. He and Kieran are good friends now, which still baffles Umbrie how they both turned to friends from enemies.
Louis knows he can’t have Umbrie, especially now that Kieran is his friends. He un-derstands what it feels like to be friends with someone. Kieran’s parents made him feel at home, though they were angry at first for what he did to their son. They came to forget about it for their son’s sake and gave him a good life just like he wanted.
“I’m sorry for interrupting. I came to drop these.” He dropped the papers on the table.
“It’s okay. We were just about to have lunch.” Umbrie replied without looking at him.
“Yeah, I can see that. You should get a room though, this place may not be a good location for that. Excuse me.” Louis said and walked out of the office, he winked at Kieran before leaving which Umbrie did not see.
Kieran burst out laughing while Umbrie gave him a death glare to make him shut up.
“I see you don’t want to live anymore. Don’t worry, I will help in making your life miserable if that’s what you want.” She gritted her teeth.
“Come on, they all know we are a couple. There’s nothing wrong with us making out and…”
“Oh..Keiran. Are you going to eat or what?” She pouted.
“I’ll eat, ma’am.” He grinned.
They both sat down to eat dinner when the lights suddenly went off. The entire office became so dark even when it is broad daylight.
“What the heck happened? Since when did the gl@$$es get blinded?” Umbrie asked trying to get her phone.
“Wait… I’ll go check what is going on outside.” Kieran stopped her.
She waited for him while he moved around. He suddenly tou-ched a switch and everything changed. Some decorative lights suddenly went on and balloons fell on the ground. A slow and R0m-ntic music was pla-ying at the background. Umbrie’s eyes wide-ned in shock. She looked at the words written in front of the decorations, her heartbeat increa-sed.
WILL YOU MARRY ME?
She was dumbfounded for a while and could not say anything. She stared at the place and Kieran who is now kneeling in front of her with one leg.
“What would be your answer? I know we are still young now but we have little time left to finish school. I don’t want to keep staying apa-rt from you. I want you to stay with me as soon as possible, I am that impatient…” He stopped and scratched his head, “This doesn’t sound R0m-ntic. It feels like I am trying to control you again… What I mean is, will you marry me dear lady Umbrie Wynn?”
She laughed ha-rd holding her stomach. Kieran could not contemplate if she was happy or making fun of him. He just watched her laugh till she was satisfied before asking again.
“Are you gonna marry me or what?” He asked already getting frustrated enough.
“If you had asked me like this in the first place without the lovely, R0m-ntic poem you gave me, I would have told you my answer immediately. I am impressed but shocked that you can be this R0m-ntic.” Umbrie replied smiling.
“Well… I just wanted to give you a proper proposal. That is why I planned it at lunch instead of dinner. I wanted us to be alone too, I hope you like it… You haven’t told me your answer.” He reminded her.
“What more do I say? You know what my answer is… You are not allowed to marry anyone else except me. Now give me the ring.” She ordered.
He brou-ght out a very beautiful diamond ring. Umbrie looked at it and calculated that it would be very expensive.
“Wait… This must cost a fortune. Did you for-ce your parents to buy this?” She stopped him.
Kieran sighed in frustration. “Seriously? Is that important right now? You should be blus-hing and crying not asking questions about my financial capability.”
“Does that mean your parents bought them.”
Kieran pulled her hand and puts the ring in. “No, I got this with my own money. Happy? Can I get up now?”
“Sure, give me a hu-g. I love you so much.” She pulled him into a hu-g. They broke the hu-g and kizzed.
They pulled away and Umbrie served them both. Kieran brou-ght a wine for them to celebr@te with.
“How long have you been planning this? Why did you choose the office out of all places? Who gave you these decorative ideas because I know you are not so R0m-ntic.” She asked him while eating.
Kieran angrily shoved some more food into her mouth, “Shut up and eat or I’ll make you scream right now.”
And the never ending saga of them arguing continues.

Clint who is the traitor of the pack was banished from the pack. All other packs were informed about him. He tried to escape prison and take revenge on the pack leader. He was caught and taken back to life imprisonment, his powers were taken away and he lived miserably.
Kieran and Umbrie continued to stay un-der the moon goddess’s watch. They loved each other more than before, Jared had no choice than to accept them.
Jared’s relationship with Daphne improved more. Tiana did come to apologize to them and promised to stay away from them. They also planned to get married once Daphne finishes school and gets stable in a few years.

Umbrie was happy at last. And it was at this point that she realized she had been depressed. But it ended right after things started going well between her and Keiran.
