Chima pleaded with the guards for mercy but they all fell in a deaf ears. She was pushed into the car r0ûghly by the guards who sat beside her side by side.
Tears fell from her eyes
Who will rescue her from the mess she has caused?
Who will save her?
She shouldn’t have pas-s her boundary but if she didn’t attempt her step mother will kill her
What could be worse than death?
God why? Why ?
Why will you allow her to suffer
Why did you took mum and dad away in a car accident.
Her friends who has been waiting for her for some minutes decides to look for her since she is delaying.
They left their buckets at the borehole and hold a torchlight to look for her. They got to the restricted area and they couldn’t enter
” Kim” they called but no one answered
” Are you thinking what I am thinking Ugoma?” Ifeoma asked
” How will I be thinking what you are thinking am I God?” Ifeoma asked and hissed
” Omg you are so rude
Anyway I guess our friend has pas-sed this boundary” Ugoma scoffed
” Omg you mean Kim is dead ?” Ifeoma asked
” You are a problem yourself” Ugoma rolled her eyes
” Let me keep and know what is the restricted area” Ugoma said
” What of if it’s a shrine or some sort of…..”
” Shut up …… You talk too much” Ugoma rolled ifeoma mouth
” Ouch… Wicked girl” Ifeoma scoffed
Ugoma peeped at the restricted area and she saw the least expected.
” Ifeoma come and see” she said
” What??? I am not seeing anything death” Ifeoma said still on a position with her hands folded
Ugoma dragged her to the scene

” The palace guards
I guess this restricted area is a royal restricted area” Ugoma said
” We must save our friend
Am sure she must have her own reasons for trespas-sing”
” If you have a step mother like chima step mother then you will think twice before trespas-sing

The guy angrily walk into the guard room and he wanted to hit her
” Haba you want to hit her, she is a female. Don’t you respect female?” The other guards said warning himm
” But she is distru-bing me? Tell her to keep quiet” Akala the first guard said
” When you don’t have good voice,her voice is like the voice of Angel . She is as beautiful as beautiful as her voice” Akuma said smiling Sheepishly
” Don’t tell me you are drooling over her?” Akala asked
” Well I will protect her as long as she is here” he said to the hearing of chima
Akala knows the situation of Chima and he pitied her, as beautiful as she is , she was going throu-gh a tough life. He likes her and he promised her protec-tion as long as she is in the guard room
” Don’t you care if I revealed your secret ?”
” I don’t care” Akala said

The village chiefs gathered at the palace , they were discussing as the Queen walk in and she greeted them
” My chief hope no problem
Why did I see you today?” The queen asked
” We want to see your son
The throne has been empty for days. It is high time we choose another King.” The high chief said
” Okay”
The queen took the stairs , the guards and the maidens were bowing for her. She took another pas-sageway and she arrived at Aryan door. She knocked and she entered
” The chiefs want to see you
My son” she pat his shoulders
” It is time to be br@ve
Remember what your father wants
He always wanted you to become a king after him
I will be downstairs” the queen said and left

” I was told you wanted to see me?” Aryan said taking his seat
” Yes the throne is empty and it is high to fill in a new king. Since you are the next in the line, you should be the next king” the high priest said
” But we heard that you are always afraid of ladies
How can you ascend the throne without a queen?” Another Chief said
” We are very worried”
Silence lingered for a while , Aryan glanced at them then he cleared his throat.
” Give me three months I will get a queen to the throne”
The chiefs want to talk but Aryan cut in
” Three months
Pending that time , the adminstration of the town will be done by me
Meeting dismissed” Aryan said and walk away

The chiefs were shocked and wondered how Aryan is going to get it done. Someone that merely seeing a lady will vomit. They know his condition.
” Let him be deceiving himself
This is not possible” he said
Cheif obioka heaved a sigh
“What if he succeed?”
” Well I think that isn’t possible
Three months to find a lady” the high priest said
” Why ? Cheif Aku?
Why can’t he succeed?”
” What an elder sees while sitting
If a child clim-bs three ladders he can’t see it” cheif Aku the high chief replied

How can you do this?” His mum asked
Aryan faced his mom squarely
” Mom nothing is impossible for God to do?’
His mother glanced at him in shock
” Are you God?” His mother asked
” Well the Christian do say we are small gods”
” Where are you getting all this nos-en-se from?

You want to walk in the ways of the foreign religion?” His mother asked in a strict voice
Aryan pat his mom shoulder
” Mom calm down

Mum remember father’s last wish” Aryan said
” All I nee-d is your blessings” Aryan added
They heard some noise downstairs
” What is that noise?” Aryan mum asked ” let me go and check” she said
Aryan sh0t a glare at the guards around him
” Will you go and find out what the noise is all about?” He yelled at his guards
” Okay sir” they ran outside rushing downstairs.
” My son calm down you don’t nee-d to tell at them. Anyway I still have to check” his mom said
” Mom don’t worry yourself”
” I nee-d to be there” his mom said and walk outside the room
Then Aryan stand up and followed his mother wearing his mask to be safe.
They were as stubborn as a goat, they keep on dodging the guards who wants to beat them and keep insisting they want to see the queen.
” What is going on here?” The queen mother asked
Chima friends eventually saw the queen and they sneak inside
” Ma we want to see you” they said p@n-ting loudly
The guards wanted to block them again but the queen mother told them not to
” What is it?” The Queen mother said
Aryan st©pped at the stairs when he saw it was nothing serious so he went back to his room.
” Ma” they kneeled
” Two days ago, our friend was arrested based on prince Aryan order
We know our friend was wrong but plea-se tamper justice with Mercy.” Ugoma pleaded
” What did your friend do to the prince?” The queen mother asked
” Uhmmm she injured the prince accidentally” Ugoma said with a sad face
Before the queen could talk , the girls prostrated

Silence lingered for a while then the queen finally speaks
” I will talk to the prince
He is the one with authority
But I am sure he will listen to me
You may go” the queen said
They let out a smile
” Thank you my queen” they said and left quietly

Chima was re-leased that very day, she walk out of the palace gate only to see chinedu , Ugoma and uju waiting for her
” Chinedu” she said surprised and shocked
” Yes Chima it is me”Chinedu said smiling
” Chinedu!” She called again and tears rolled out of her eyes
” Are you not happy to see him?” Ugoma said
Chinedu walk closer to Chima and hvg her ti-ghtly
” Am sorry I missed you” Chinedu said
” Chinedu I missed you too” Chima finally said
” Well we will excuse you
Ugoma let go
Chinedu don’t forget our goodies uju said
Chinedu let out a smile ” okay”
He dis£ngage from the hvg and he adjusted Chima hairs properly
” Why did you leave me without a bye

After everything I have done for you”
” Let us go and find somewhere to sit”
They walk away from the palace gate holding hands while Chinedu kept on glancing at Chima
” You look beautiful
I have always known I left a beauty back home and that was why I didn’t d@t£ any girl back in the city”
Chima blu-shed silently and changed her face to a straight one
” Hey you are lieing to me
You haven’t answered my question
Why do you leave without a bye?” She asked
Silence lingered for a while between them until they got to a tree where they can take their rest
Chinedu sighs
” I went to the city so our lives could be better
I remembered your sacrifice for me and I will never forget your good deeds towards me
And that is why…..
I am taking you back to the city to be my wife” Chinedu dropped the bombshell
