” How dare you Dylan”
“What did I do?” He asked feigning ignorance
” You knew there were siblings?”
“Who?”
” You Know what I am talking about”
” What are you trying to say?”
“I heard her thanking you for saving her and taking her home”
” What should I have done?, Leave her to die?”
” You could have told me she is Tim’s sister”
” I didn’t remember to tell you , so?” He said in a nonchalant way this made me really mad
” Don’t try me Dylan, you know what I can do, you know I can ruin you and your family’s life”
” You should seriously st©p threatening me, it is unfair”
“Life is not fair young man, now you do what I want or else, you’d be in big trouble”
“What do you want Alexa? ”
” The same thing you did the other day”
“I can’t do it Alexa ”
” You can’t?… Good, then get re-ady to get your family’s reputation ruined” I said turning like I was going to leave

I am so going to spoil Beryl’s reputation, her brother is so gonna hate her.

I was eating with Tim and Maggie when Dylan c@m£ to meet me
He whispered into my ear telling me he nee-ds my help, then he walked away, he was looking worried and I didn’t Know what was wrong with him
I quic-kly followed him
He st©pped by the school’s drama room and he eventually turned to look at me
“What’s wrong?… Are you okay?”
” I am really sorry Beryl”
“What?” I asked but the only reply I got was Dylan picking me up and taking me towards the Janitor’s closet
I struggled and tried to break free, I shouted but then we were on break and I am sure no one would hear
Tears started dropping from my eyes but I didn’t give up, I kept fighting.

We were waiting for Beryl to get back when one of the students c@m£ to tell me my sister is in the Janitor’s closet
I was confused but then I went with Maggie anyways to see what was going on.

Watching her struggle and cry was painful
But I had to do it
My family would be in trouble if I didn’t, their reputation would be ruined because of me
Suddenly the door to the Janitor’s closet swung open and I turned to see a fuming Maggie and a mad Tim
He pu-ll-ed me by my shi-t and punched my face
It hurts but then I deserve it
He punched me again and I winced and fell to the ground
Maggie pu-ll-ed Beryl closer trying to make her st©p crying
Tim pu-ll-ed me up and punched me again
I could taste my own blood
” Don’t you try to mess with my sister… Ever again” he said and pu-ll-ed Maggie and Beryl with him
Good to know there is someone always re-ady to stand up for her.

I watched as Tim punched the daylight out of Dylan
This was not what I actually planned but then it was interesting to watch the idiot suffer
I quic-kly moved away when I noticed Tim was coming closer with Beryl and Maggie
This is messed up
I have to come up with something else
It feels like she is winning again
I would make sure Beryl regrets being the head girl.

Tim was looking furious and I didn’t know what to do
I don’t know if he is mad at me or not
I don’t know if he is disappointed in me or not
I could not st©p crying
When we got to the ladies rest room he re-leased us and turned to Maggie
” plea-se help her, I would wait for you guys here” Maggie nodded and took me inside the rest room
She helped me rearrange my hair and she fixed my cloth
“Beryl plea-se st©p crying, it hurts to see you cry” Maggie said tearing up too
” I am sorry, I don’t mean to it just kept coming”
” I know and I am really sorry too, I really don’t un-derstand why Dylan is doing this”
” I don’t un-derstand why too, but then I am not sure he is doing it because he wants to” I said wiping my face with my palm
” What do you mean by that?”
” Before he carried me to the Janitor’s closet, he told me he is sorry”
” Really?, What’s going on?”
” I don’t know Maggie, I really don’t know, do you think Tim is mad at me?”
“What? No way, yes he is worried about you, but, mad at you?, No way, let’s go out now before lunch break is over”
We went out and Tim was still waiting for us like he said he would
He c@m£ closer smoothened my hair down.
” Your eyes is swollen” he said and I bur-sted into tears again
” Don’t cry, I won’t let him hurt you, what happened exactly?”
I explained everything to him, I emphasized on the p@rt where he told me he is sorry, because I felt he was being sincere
” We can’t act irrationally so we’d try to find out what happened, for main time plea-se stay away from him, okay?” He asked and I nodded
He pu-ll-ed me and Maggie into a hvg and I didn’t hesitate
“You too Maggie stay away from him” he said to Maggie too and she nodded.
Feels good to have a brother.

I am really afraid for this two young ladies
They both try to look strong but then they are really fragile
I feel like it is my responsibility to protect them and so help me God I would do it with my very last strength.
I can’t report to anyone right now because my spirit is telling me there is more to this and sometimes adult acts much more irrational than we teenagers do
I hope my decision not to tell yet won’t hurt this Young Ladies.

I hate to see her suffer but there had been a lot of things out of my control
I can’t even express myself to the girl I like and I am thinking of protecting her
It feels really painful to see her struggle with one thing or the other but then until I am able to free myself from the bondage I am in, I can’t do anything.
I was still watching them when someone c@m£ to call me that my brother nee-ds me
I gr-unted and almost ban-ged my head on one of the lockers
I really nee-d to get out of his clutches and every other clutches soon.

( I really wanted to post another chapter yesterday but then PHCN messed up.. I am sorry)
⚡ Beryl’s POV ⚡
My nerve was a wreck till school ended
I couldn’t help but wonder why Dylan was doing that to me
When we closed school the chaffeur c@m£ to pick us but on our way own my stomach started churning
I felt like puking so I told them to st©p the car
I quic-kly stood beside the bush getting re-ady to vomit, the next thing that rushed at me was not me trying to throw it was someone pushing me and ma-king fall into the bush
I rolled down the sloppy bush and my left hand struck a rock
Tears of pain gathered and I screamed
Could this day st©p hating me alre-ady?.

“No way!, I am not doing that again” I told my brother and he stood up to his full length
” Then get re-ady to face dad”
“You really nee-d to st©p threatening me”
“Oh, you should have thought about this before you did what you did two years ago”
” It was a mistake Mike, I made a mistake but you couldn’t let by gone be by gone?”
” That is life for you ”

” Then get re-ady for what comes after Dad sees this” he said showing me a alre-ady typed message
Tears swelled in my eyes, I quic-kly sniffed it back, boys don’t cry

I took everything I nee-ded and went out with other guys
Going into the street and throwing people out of their house because of the loan they took and couldn’t pay back hurts me a lot
Most times guys in the area comes out to defend their people and this leads to Street fight
Today was not different, the street was in a hvge chaos, I tried to st©p the guys from fighting when I saw Beryl
I got really scared and before I could get to her one of the street boys hit her into a bush while he was trying to run.
I ran as fast as I could but before I could get there Tim and Magaret were there alre-ady
I backed away before they could see me
I was at the verge of crying but boys don’t cry.

I didn’t see it coming
The way Beryl rolled into the bush shocked me
I ran as fast as I could with Maggie and the driver c@m£ behind us
Everything was happening really fast there was a fight between gangsters and everything was in chaos
We hid inside the bushes trying to tend to Beryl and trying to avoid being hurt
I noticed Beryl was not breathing
My heart Left my b©dy
” She is not breathing”
“What?” Maggie and the driver chorused
” She is not breathing” I cried
“Bery!”

⛈️ Beryl’s POV ⛈️
The Pain was so much that I had to hold my breath waiting for it to pas-s away
I could hear Dylan talking but I didn’t want to answer, when I noticed that he thought I was dead because I was not breathing, I exhaled
” I’m okay ” I said as I tried to sit up by myself but then the pain in my hand multi-plied and I cried
” Oh Beryl” Maggie said crying and helping me with Tim
” Why is this happening?”
“I don’t know Maggie but God is in control” I said putting myself together
” Look at me Beryl, are you sure you are okay?” Tim said and I nodded
” Though I can’t feel my left hand” I put it in front of me for inspection then I realized it was swollen
” It’s swollen” the driver said and I nodded
” I hope this won’t get worse before we get home?”
” I don’t think so, as far as she doesn’t stress it”
We waited for a while for before everything eventually died down
We c@m£ out from where we were hiding and we went home
Mum was really shocked, mad and devastated about the state of my hand, she called the doctor and dad who had gone on a business trip earlier
The doctor c@m£ and treated me, he told me to hold a bag of ice against the hand for a while and then he bandaged it advising me not to stress the hand, before he left he gave me some prescribe-d drugs.
When he left, Maggie c@m£ in and told me she would slee-ping over she alre-ady called her parents to tell them that
” My driver would be bringing my stuffs tomorrow”
“Okay”
“I am sorry about all of this”
“It’s cool, it happens”.

After Beryl’s mum fed her dinner, the painkiller the doctor gave her began to tell on her, she sle-pt off
I was happy she did, looking her wince in Pain whenever she mistakenly stress the hand hurts me
I went into the garden and Tim was there
He was staring into the sky so I joined him on the bench
“Tim?”
“Yes?”
” Why is this happening to my best friend?”
” I don’t know Maggie but I am sure God knows”
” I Know he does but sometimes I feel like getting mad at him”
” Yeah me too, but then that won’t solve anything, let’s just keep praying for her”
“Yes let’s keep praying”

“Dylan!” I could hear him shout after me but then I really am not in the mood for anyone to threaten me again

🌒 Dylan’s POV 🌒
I can’t and I won’t let someone threaten me anymore
I’ve been given a bad reputation because of Alexa in school, I am Dylan A.K.A the Bully, people on Trinity street would flee whenever they see me because of my step brother
I am sick and tired of this life of threat
I am tired
I got to school early hoping Beryl would make it to school early like she always does
p@rt of me was doubting if she would come to school because she definitely sustained an injury yesterday but I still stayed positive and thankfully she did
I watched how Tim helped her out of the car
I was right she was hurt, her left hand was bandaged
I felt really sorry and hurt but then, I think I can still make things better between us
She might hate me now but I am willing to give it a try
I checked the time and we still have thirty two minutes before as-sembly
I walked closer to them and Tim pu-ll-ed Maggie and Beryl behind him, I am really thankful he is her brother
” What do you want? ” He asked glaring at me, well I can’t blame him
I am the bad guy here
” Well, I want to see Beryl….”
“That’s not happening” he said cutting me short
” Well, I was going to say, you guys can come to, because it is the moment of truth, I want to explain what happened, and I think you might want to hear it since I am kind of the reason why she fell inside that bush yesterday”
” What?, Were you the one that pushed her?”
” No no, that’s why I asked to speak with her, with you guys pres£nt, because you three are the only one I can trust”
He turned to look at Beryl and Maggie and he whispered something to them, then he turned to me
” You have twenty minutes”
“I’d use it wisely”.

The following morning, mum didn’t want me to go to school but then I pleaded with her
She eventually allowed me after ma-king us promise we’d call if something happens
When we got to school Dylan c@m£ to meet us saying he wants to see me
I didn’t want to go, but then Tim as-sured me everything was going to be okay
We went to the school’s garden and he took us dee-per inside the garden, my imagination was alre-ady running wild but I was rest as-sured since Maggie and Tim were with me
We got to a point and he st©pped, we did too
” What I am about to tell you guys is the main cause of all of this, you have to promise me you won’t tell anyone” he said and we all looked at outself
It was like a movie, like a mystery and adventurous movie and even though it might be scary, I want to know the secret that has been putting me in danger
” I promise” I said and Tim and Maggie looked at me, I nodded and flashed them a smile
” I promise” Tim said
” I promise” Maggie also said
“Well, guys thing is I have a child”
” What?” Myself Tim and I chorused, I was shocked and speechless.
